Any good programs for city mapping? Dungeondraft makes basic stuff like circles harder than it needs to be. Wonderdraft lacks any good wall tools.
>use GIMP
I don't want to draw walls by hand. Watabou would be great if it had user tools

Why are anglos always too retarded to get their german names right? Is it really to hard to ask one guy who actually speaks the language before publishing?

You just check the manual and stick to it what it tells. Honestly don't understand what's there not to get.

>get inspired for town or city
>write down descriptions or details as needed for area
Seems to work.
I don't generally use 1-1 mapping of a city in ttrpg play, having found a few workable stand ins. I've been collecting them to chop up as terrain for wargames with chits though.

>Salzenmund
Ok, sure why not
>Fischplatz
It doesn't seem like it's a place where people could go fishing, so this doesn't really make sense. Is there a fish market pr something? That might explain it
>Adler Academy
Sure, whatever
>Salzbad baths
Ok this has to be the worst one. This literally means Saltbath baths
>Walsturm
Well it's a tower connected to a wall. Makes sense.
>Steinhafen Pits
Ok I guess
>Markthall
It's either "Markthalle" or market hall.

I wish I had a more high-res version of Lankhmar, the cool thing about this map, is that the grey tiles are essentially blank on purpose and are interchangeable representing "blind alleys". One of the best modules TSR ever made.

I am a native german speaker and the word "Wall" (meaning wall) does infact exist in german aswell so "Wal-" could be a variation of it.
An example of use would be in the word "Hadrianswall".

I export Watabou maps into Wonderdraft/Dungeondraft and it works pretty well. Sometimes touch them up in GIMP/PS after. I don't love them compared to other people's maps but I think they're serviceable for what they are. They are a bit limited in how creative you can get though, considering you're still working within the bounds of watabou's procedural engine.

>I export Watabou maps into Wonderdraft/Dungeondraft and it works pretty well.
How do you do that? You can actually import them into the software or do you mean using the overlay tool to trace.
I really like DD/WD, but the shaped tool is fucked. If you click and drag out a circle the start point floats about instead of staying anchored and for some reason you cannot press CTRL/SHIFT to make perfect circles like every other 2d drawing software. Very odd.
>>
>>94424572
My guess is that it was actually made by hand due to it's age and german autism in general.
