How come we invent an entire mythology and lore about made up fantasy humans, but nobody has made the same for actual human species like denisovans, neandertals, erecuts, florencians, gautengensis, etc.
>>
>>94414511
They’re ugly mostly.
>>
>>94414541
there are literal furry porn of animals made in anime style.

not a real argument.
>>
>>94414544
Okay, present a better argument as to why nobody uses them.
>>
>>94414511
We've gotten a lot of good metathread content out of these world building threads. So why do you double post like this all the time?
>>94409180
You're going to bump this one or the other anyway, so why bother making two threads about the same thing?
I'm not even mad, don't really care if its nogames or whatever, sometimes there can be interesting ideas. But the fuck is the point of doing it twice all the time?
>>
>>94414511
no famous example to make a hack job of
>>
>>94414557
Here is your answer -> >>94414559
>>
>>94414558
I don't lurk this board anon.

I just had the question of why those hominid races aren't used.
>>
>>94414511
I don't get it, this thread already existed: >>94409180
And you still decided to open another for no reason?
>>
>>94414686
I don't use this board.
>>
>>94414511
How many more of those threads you plan to shit up?
>>
>>94414511
Probably because we know fuck all about them.
>>
>>94414693
Yes you do, you're using it right now.
>>
>>94414693
You don't use it well, you mean.
>>
>>94414511
Most are just 'human, but uglier, smaller, dumber, and overall worse.' The only good human species besides us was Neanderthal, and they still lost. No one is gonna wanna play a manlet that's only slightly smarter than a chimp.
>>
>>94414511
>nobody

Maybe there are whole segments of genre fiction you aren't aware of, Anon
>>
>>94414511
They were all ugly retard monkeys, elves are cool and hot, next question.
>>
>>94414559
Malazan books have a few extinct proto human species
Though the evolution timeline is fucked because it's 500,000 - 1mil years
>>
>>94420196
Hit post too soon haha

There are the T Lan Imass, pseudo neanderthals and Eres, which are more like what OP posted but are "ape like" which can mean a few things
>>
>>94417967
>No one is gonna wanna play a manlet that's only slightly smarter than a chimp
That sounds like much potential fun actually
>>
>>94417967
>The only good human species besides us was Neanderthal
if they can really be considered a distinct species, the fact they could interbreed and create viable offspring would suggest they were at best a sub-species since europeans and asians have some percentage of neanderthal dna
>>
Why would I put africans in my escapist fantasy games
>>
>>94420812
It's all female. The latest evidence, AFAIK, is that no male Sapiens-Neanderthal hybrids have been found. The logical conclusion is that any interbreeding only produced females.
>>
>>94414511
This looks like my boss, but is probably smarter
>>
>even though warhammer has one of these guys In every new release and on every book cover
>>
>>94420812
Interbreedability is not considered a disqualifier for species these days. Hasn't for decades. IDK where they draw the line any more.

It was never an especially good one.
>>
>>94421084
I think you don't know what mitochondrial DNA is.
>>
>>94417967
Yeah, most tg posters aren't a fan of self inserting
>>
>>94419919
None that matter, certainly.
>>
>>94414511
Couldn't they reproduce and produce fertile offspring?
>>
>>94428623
Plenty of different species can reproduce and produce fertile offspring.
>>
>>94414511
They're just not as interesting. A Neanderthal, for example, is just a human with a bigger brain and torso, and a shittier larynx and thumbs
