Even at higher tiers, magic is literally stated to be able to do anything, and the protagonist and enemies just don't really innovate on anything that hasn't been done before aside from gravity magic (which was extremely potent). Casters literally can beat martials, and martials can beat casters, we just don't see any casters do so in the manga.Also, even if you take something like elementary fighting spirit, you can eventually make it better, and really something like advanced is good enough for a full caster build. Plus, summoning has literally nothing on it, nothing. Assuming it works like the golem crafting but with pure magic, you could make something on-par with high end martials. While the expensive ones had 22 fucking rounds in them before you had to reload and change the air tank. They were nowhere near as powerful as a regular firearm, and hand-pumping the air tanks was a bitch, but you didn't have to worry about Powder. Also, a fun fact: Hunting muskets are pretty fucking good and still cheap as fuck. The only thing a Bow would have over it is fire rate, but that wouldn't matter because a musket would snipe the archer from far away. I want to see an edit where the crossbow replaces the bow spot, and the air rifle takes the crossbow spot.
