You have to understand the difference between warhammer and flames of war.
Warhammer / GW wants to generate a big, hive-mind community.
The same thoughts, feelings, and same desire for the product. Very Public. Very Loud.
Buy Models no matter what.
....you may have heard that FoW is made by ex-GW people.
Some. And they hated what they saw.
Flames of War / Battlefront is made primarily to play games. Models come second.
The schedule is noticeably slower.
It is funny because they have made some business decisions that bit them in the ass, but, they allow their
player-base to be who they want to be. Tourney players have their crowd. Club-players have theirs.
and as a result,
most FoW players won't be found at the game store being loud and in-public.
FoW tends to be old guys with families. And some of these families pass on the wargame.
it's a whole different -way- of game play.
even if it's just another IGOUGO with hordes of models on the table.
the approach is noticeably different.
