Based.

What are good jumps/perks/items for gaining a lot of mundane influence quickly? The kind of stuff where you can get meetings with world leaders or have your desires influence politics to at least some degree?

Somewhat related, what would you recommend for having influence over the mundane police or army? The kind of stuff that you could use in jumps with a Masquerade to get enemies in trouble while forcing them to play along if they don't want to break the secrecy of the supernatural?

>Esper with a flying magic fortress
I don't know why, but this sounds kind of hilarious to me. I have this idea of a scientist that spent so long trying to make sense of Gunha that he somehow discovered magic, except now every other scientist believes that he's gone completely off the deep end. And they might not be completely wrong if he's been constructing a flying magic fortress for some reason.

>Enjoy your harem of 20k clones
...Huh, I don't know how I had forgotten about that option. That could be used as a canon recruitment option for the entire Sister Network, right?

Any suggestions on how to get involved in the canon DxD plot as a Sacred Gear user that wants to remain human?
And maybe romance Rias, Sona and others while we're at it
Remaining human would mean that you're not part of Rias' peerage for the Riser fight, for example.

I haven't made any major decisions about DxD yet, so I'm kind of curious about what others would suggest.

Like the other anon said, becoming a contracted magician could be a good way to create a connection. Also get rid of issei.
But the true answer boils down to be strong and influential enough. At the end of the day, no one can complain about you, if you're strong enough to teabag sirsechz and fuck his wife while he watches
You might also want to dwindle the numbers of male devils by a lot so its less of an issue the interspecies aspect of it. Maybe exterminate them all outright
Also get some really good harem perks

Hey, PsychoAnon, got a Teen Titans question for you. Had an idea for the Magic power for it being Chaos magic, giving you a wide variety of destructive and/or chaotic magic at the cost of locking off more orderly/restorative magic. You can wreak havoc with arcane blasts or twist space by teleporting or defy nature by using the elements for your own purposes or telekinetically smashing people/throwing shit at them or do other combat-specced evil sorcerer things, but something like healing or astral projection or creating shields are right out, because they involve stillness or restoring things or conforming to the natural order instead of tearing it apart. In other words, it's really fucking good for attacking people or destroying things, but lacking in healing or buffing or anything defense wise beyond moving the objects you were about to throw at your enemy with magic in front of their attack. Would that work for the Magic option, or is it too much?

Speaking of the Magic power, could it be purchased more than once for immediate access to two core Magic powersets ,or is it a one and done deal?

Let's see what I can do quickly without overthinking it...

Hero Tamer
Victory Dance 0
Notable Notes 0
Gag Chapter 100
Emergency Treatment 100
100% Win Rate 200
Beacon of Hope 200
The Power of Bonds 300
Infinite Jogress 400

Digivice 01 200
Digimental 300

Your Partner 0

No Official Translation +100
Shy Guy +100
Can't Swim +100
Crippled +200
The Parallelmon Problem +300

There's a bunch of other interesting stuff, like Overwrite or the Ultimate Force, but there's obviously so much your CP can buy, there was no chance I'd be able to spread myself so much across three different backgrounds + items, so I focused more on the tamer/trainer theme I tend to choose in pokemon and digimon jumps.
Now that I think about them, my partner can probably get them once I decide who they are.

I'm a shy guy who doesn't know Japanese and can't walk or swim, but that's not completely insurmountable. Maybe my partner can act as an interpreter until I learn the language (at least if they're imported, idk if they'd also insist in Japanese only if they are a brand new companion), or maybe I'll be forced to push aside my shyness to get a crash course in Japanese. Or maybe I'll just end up as this mysterious recluse that shows up to fight and leaves without a word and nobody realizes that it is because they don't know the language and they're too awkward to inform anyone.
Needing a wheelchair is troublesome, but out of jump powers may offer options for emergencies.

I wasn't sure on whether to pick the Parallelmon or the Daemonic drawback though, it might depend on when exactly I slot the jump in the chain.

Just how strong and dangerous is the Daemon (Ultra) final boss? Would you be able to defeat him right at the beginning if you already have at least one Mega from a previous Digimon jump and you use the Digimental on it to boost it further? (Although I guess if you have multiple Megas Jogressing them together and then using the Digimental might be possible, I don't know...)

It's hard for me to comment on that, due to the fluctuation of power between franchises (for example the Omnimon here is weaker than UlforceVeedramon). If you have Megas you have properly raised + whatever series gimmicks you used to raise them, then I would guess adding the Digimental should be enough to come out on top. I don't see why you couldn't use the Digimental on top of a Jogress for a Mode Change.

Ooops, I didn't realize that. Sorry.
I guess I'd have to get rid of either 100% Win Rate or Emergency Treatment + Gag Chapter. There are strategy perks in other jumps, but I don't know if they quite cover the same things 100% does, especially regarding analyzing the enemy. And Gag Chapter does not work for major villains, but where else would one get the ability to weaponize comic relief? Decisions, decisions...

The series already tried cucking him. After Sirzechs gets trapped sealing Trihexia, Grayfia tries seducing Issei in the bath to push to him into becoming a Maou after Sirzechs tells him to become one but Issei refuses her and tells her that she should focus on her son and she quickly backs off. But you know if the series didn't pussy out on anything explicit, she'd be cream filled.

Not sure what exactly to give Apprentices as a capstone item. Maybe just Tor and Roberta's endgame gear?

Not for that origin specifically but you could consider things like the Healing Springs or Rainbow Fountain? They might be more appropriate for a general Neopets jump, but this game does have some faerie focus.

In Tech Jacket there is a technologically advanced race called Geldarians who have grown immensely physically weak and are bonded with power armor(tech jackets) at birth to make up for it, after which they're more powerful than humans, but not immensely so. But if a stronger race like a human wears a tech jackets they becoome vastly more powerful than the strongest Geldarians.

We dont have a tech jacket jump, but it does exist in the invincible universe.

I've been seeing a lot of those show up in my recommended lists as well for no apparent reason. I've never listened to any of them and have no intention to but they keep getting pushed. Also for some reason youtube videos are all stopping at the 59 second mark in videos and won't go past them, anyone else having that problem?

To answer your question we've got a jump for the Posleen saga. The vast majority of aliens in that setting are either incapable of hostile action outright or are so traumatized by it that even just pushing a button to launch a missile at someone is enough to permanently drive them into crippling lifelong depression. Humans are one of the only two races that don't have this issue, the other race being the Poseleen which are a bunch of asshole warlike centaur people that just want to fuck everyone up.

for one the power boost it gives the user is way below that of any viltrumite, much less making you as strong as a Veteran Vilturmite like the jump claims. Like the default one of the original tech jackeet comic run was said to be around a x100 multiplier, and in Invicnible Tech Jacket outright says he's not as strong as vitlrumites, it also doesen't have the ability to fabricate new technology on the flight and doesen't have access to all the Geldarian technology(like there is straight up a plot point of how the geldarians have a one way teleport machine they used on tech jacket to enter an enemy base on another planet, and he then had to fly back by himself), it just got a lot of integrated weaponry, and it had to be specifically upgraded with anti-viltrumite weaponry during the war against them in Invincible.

It also doesen't have unlimited energy by default, that was unique to Tech Jacket after he was upgraded by a godlike artifical intelligence in the ambigously canon(to invincible) sequel comics written a decade later by a different writer.

The Force is actually fine and 100% correct in spite of Kreia's autism. The problem is literally the Jedi and Sith and their batshit insane ideologies that preach only extremist uses of the Force. Either you have to be a Tibetan monk devoid of emotion and attachment or you have to be a roiling mass of hatred and cackling sadism unleashing your evil onto everything around you at all times. The Force obviously dislikes both and is constantly trying to bring things back into balance. Thousands of years ago, the original Je'daii practiced a form of balance where they would "purify" themselves if they strayed too far to either the light or dark side. The Force had no problem with this and there were no major conflicts as a result. It was when a bunch of retards decided to go full autistic extremism that we began to see the Force taking action against the Jedi by engineering the Sith Order and the nonstop destruction of one or the other in massive galaxy-spanning wars to try and get them to stop being fucking crazy.
>>

Diabolical.
>>
>>94430069
Cringe lore that goes against Lucas's vision of the Force, where balance is just the Light Side existing on its own. Just be a good person, it isn't complicated.
>>
>>94430083
>Just be a good person
So definitely not the Jedi Order.
>>
>>94430089
That is the point of the prequels, yeah.
>>
>>94430083
That literally doesn't contradict the point. Because neither the Jedi nor the Sith are "just good people." So to be a good person is to be neither one.
>>
>>94430110
>the original Je'daii practiced a form of balance where they would "purify" themselves if they strayed too far to either the light or dark side. The Force had no problem with this
Yes it does. It straight up is saying the balance is a medium between the two which makes the Force happy.
>>
>>94430116
I mean, that's literally true. How does that go against the idea of being a good person?
>>
>>94430148
You cannot be "too far to the light side". It is not possible. You can be a moron, blind to your faults, and lessen yourself to base acts. These are all flaws of the Jedi Order, not the Light Side of the Force.
>>
>>94430083
That's not how it works, it's not balance for one side of something to exist and only that side.

>>94430195

>>
>>94430201

>>
>>94430191
It is. It is what Lucas means by balance, as he stated over and over again in various contexts. In EU continuity, there is a hierarchy of canon where George trumps everything else. If a character in the setting says otherwise, they are simply stating their wrong opinion. If an event contradicts this, you are misconstruing it or it is not in continuity. If you are using Disney canon instead (lol), you are operate on a similar set of values where Good is Good and Bad is Bad, even if it is less artfully constructed.

Depends on what I was going for. Megamind is a decent starter jump for being a super scientist villain or flying brick villain. Overlord is good if you want to be a high fantasy bad guy meanwhile you could go to Crackdown and get an evil megacorp and some good perks for making an evil corporate overlord theme work.
>>
>>94430231
I am actually torn between super scientist and high fantasy bad guy right now.
>>
>>94430239
42nd Supreme in overlord is a pretty good starting point for a high fantasy bad guy, especially given you'll have enablers all around you and a custom NPC to be your dragon that will to continue to support your villains ways even in future jumps. QQ's world of lewd superheroes is a pretty good starting point for an evil super scientist if you don't mind the lewd aspects, though as that other anon mentioned Diabolical is also a really solid starter choice for that type, though it can be pretty dangerous as a first jump if you aren't careful. Batman TAS is also a decent start for a super scientist bad guy since Batman will at worst break a few of your bones if/when he catches you and you can get a fuckload of money there to help finance your evil shenanigans.

This is a misunderstanding born from the fact that the idea of a distinct "Light Side" of the Force is entirely an invention of EU writers, which was later backported into Disney Wars. In the Original and Prequel Trilogies, there is no "Light Side," only the Force, and a cancerous corruption called the Dark Side. The Jedi aren't supposed to be "Light Side Warriors," they're supposed to be people who use the Force properly without trying to bend the world around them to their will; hence why the Prequel Trilogy incarnation of the Jedi Order was doomed, because they'd started denying their own humanity, trying to stamp out all their feelings out of fear of the Dark Side.
Also, based off of how its presented, and the fact that the Force is generated by all life, I'm pretty sure the "Will of the Force" was supposed to just be something like "The Will of the People" or "The Way of the World" or some other abstract representation of the sum of everyone's choices, rather than the Extradimensional Parasite-Tyrant it is presented as by Kreia and all the people both in and out of universe who agree with her. Not that that really matters anymore I guess, because they seem to be running with Kreia being unironically right in Disney Wars.
>>
Since people are talking about this, I went and got the quotes.

>What happens when you go to the dark side is it goes out of balance, and then you get really selfish... when you get selfish, you get stuff. Or you want stuff and when you want stuff, and you get stuff, then you get afraid somebody's going to take it away from you... Once you become afraid that somebody's going to take it away from you, or you're going to lose it, then you start to become angry... And that anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering...
>But the pleasure factor of greed and of selfishness is a short-lived experience. Therefore, you're constantly trying to replenish it. But of course, the more you replenish it, the harder it is to, so you have to keep upping the ante.... So that is ultimately the core of the whole light side-dark side of the Force.
>The dark side is what happens when that natural flow is perverted by a person's fear, hatred, selfishness, and anger.

Basically, as >>94430372 said, the "light side" is how the Force ought to be, and the "dark side" is a perversion of it that throws it out of balance. For the purposes of jumpchain, this might not be strictly true for Jumper, as you can get fiat effects that would prevent the dark side from throwing yourself out of balance when you use it.
>>
God I hate Jedi
>>
Except the Jedi are literally fucking retarded and not a good example of a well balanced or healthy human being by any stretch of the imagination. They are every bit as self harming and self defeating as the sith, it just isn't as obvious.
>>
>>94430420
The Jedi don't have a monopoly on non-dark side force usage.
>>
>>94430431
nta but that's kinda the concept of something being "dark". The whole reason you join the evil side is because it's an easy path to power, You don't get the evil power if you don't wanna be evil.
>>
>>94430452
I don't get what you are trying to say. You don't have to be a Jedi to use the "light side of the Force", nor do you have to be a Sith to use the dark side. There are examples in both continuities of this.
>>
>>94430458
Yeah, but that's dumb cuz it defeats the whole purpose. There's no reason to be evil except that it gives you short term reward. Why is anyone being evil if they can be good and achieve the same result?
>>
>>94430473
Because being evil is a part of human nature. People are greedy or wrathful or shortsighted all the time. The Dark Side is also known to be stronger in the short term because negative emotions and passions flow easily, whereas restraint requires more discipline.

Why would you say to the option of just ignoring the Force and going all-in on cybernetics?

You still get a bunch of crazy superpowers and the magic bacteria has lost nearly all it's ability to fuck-with your destiny and emotions. Cybernetics aren't great IMO for a chain, unless you have certain fiats in place. For example, if you end up going to DC and becoming a Kryptonian, then all of your metal parts are just weak spots that aren't as tough as the rest of you. I'm also not super keen on the aesthetic, but if it was under the skin that wouldn't matter so much.

Within the setting itself, IIRC a part of the Sith Sorceror plot in SWTOR is that the Sith Lord you are fighting has cybernetics, and it ends up being a massive point of vulnerability you get to exploit.

I'd like to point out that it's less that the Jedi are bad and more that Coruscant Council is bad. The Coruscant Council continued to make the most idiotic decisions possible over the course of the millennia, usually involving lashing out at some maverick and changing the rules to spite said maverick. The best example of this can be found in their conflict with the Jedi Lords, a group of Jedi who decided to take up a political/military role, founding families and dynasties and securing Republic worlds from the various Sith petty kingdoms. They were supremely popular, so much so that a Jedi Lord even got elected Supreme Chancellor. Yet the Coruscant Council fucking hated them, and decided to show them up with their precious golden boy, Kaan, who would be traditional and destroy the Sith!

He promptly fell to the Dark Side, took over the Sith petty kingdoms, uniting them into the far more dangerous Brotherhood of Darkness. The Jedi Lords united into the Army of Light and defeated the Brotherhood, albeit at the cost of themselves due to Bane and the Thought Bomb taking out the Brotherhood and the Army. So how does the Coruscant Council respond to this?

By enacting the most spiteful reformation ever. Marriage? Now banned, even though countless Jedi heroes like Nomi Sunrider got married in the past. Becoming a Jedi as an adult? Nope, not a thing anymore, have to be young for proper brainwashing. Studying at academies or schools or enclaves on worlds other than Coruscant? No, fuck you, we can't risk you becoming a heretic, almost all of those are closed now. Any worldly possessions, family connections, you have to give that up and separate yourself from the public and your previous life. The reason why the prequel Jedi Order is the way it is is because the Coruscant Council is a mix of incompetent and spiteful. Jedi can be great when not hampered by those fucks.

pre-devil Asia is the only named character you should take.
You must go full Extirminatus on the devils and fallen angels, then enslave the angels to work for humanity's benefit. Doing anything else, or even taking some of those monsters as companions, makes you a filthy race traitor.
Other factions should be enslaved or removed from the Earth at your own preference, but remember that they ALL manipulate and take advantage of Humanity, and will continue to do so unless (You) have the courage to stand up and say "NO MORE!"
>>
>>94430708
Most of the fun for me is in the droids, vehicles and increasingly absurd wunderwaffe.
>>
>>94430631
>Why limit yourself to the physical when you can become a being that can fuck with the spiritual and no maintenance or sustenance?
Because as seen with such properties like Star Wars, 40k, and Stellaris, messing with spiritual/psionic stuff can be unfathomably dangerous, extremely difficult to figure out, and comes with a high chance of either destroying your soul/damming the souls of your entire civilization to oblivion, or accidentally creating a dark messiah-like figure who somehow ends up being way more powerful than everyone else and enslaves or destroys the universe. Or both.

Technology and cybernetics on the other hand, while also extremely dangerous and highly abusable, don't have any of the innate dangers of being manipulated by an outside force or possessing immutable rules & limitations imposed by the locals powers that be.

Cybernetic augmentation theoretically has NO upper limit, especially once you introduce A.I capable of exponentially boosting one's intelligence, and exotic matter & energy sources from across the multiverse that let you break physics.

>>94430646
>if you end up going to DC and becoming a Kryptonian, then all of your metal parts are just weak spots that aren't as tough as the rest of you.
Not really the best example.

>and it ends up being a massive point of vulnerability you get to exploit.
Counterpoint, Darth Vader murdered a fuckton of dudes with his cybernetics after people underestimated him and tried to fight him like he was a normal human. One of those people being Emperor Palpatine himself who got stuck in a cyborg bear-hug.

>>94430708

>>94430802
>Not really the best example.

>>
>>94430802
>Counterpoint, Darth Vader
Darth Vader's cybernetics were made to intentionally hamper and torture him. He did all of those feats in spite of the cybernetics. At least, that was the case in the EU. In the Disney canon they're actually good cybernetics and Anakin is only held back by his trauma and mental state.

I think even in Disney canon, the suit's still crap. A droid scans Vader's suit, hoping for some useful salvage, and notes that it's junk. His mental state and trauma do play a role in it, though, the good in him keeping him from fully accepting the power of the Dark Side. His sheer self-loathing is to the point where, even if he did have enough power to kill Sidious, he'd destroy himself in the aftermath.
