>>94674992Who are our top overall scores for the class? Don't they take that super seriously over there where being in the top 10 in everything is a huge deal and stuff?
>>94675781Chris and Hoge.
>>94675810Not the obvious ones.
>>94675812Faith and Imai?
>>94675818I think Minnie is pretty studious as well.
>>94675812Tame scored pretty high but I feel like thats obvious. She probably didnt even get listed because she has an unfair advantage.
>>94674992Kino. Loved Inigo's antics, loved Hoge's drama, loved the boyz being so cheerful. Good shit anon. Thanks for cooking.
>>94675781Our Top 4 are probably in order: Chris, Hoge, Hiro, Tame. Mostly A+'s with a couple of A's. Chris is first (aside from my bias of him being Kaylee's friend) because, while Hoge tied with two top spots, she got a B in Combat in a class of monsters. A B in Combat in class 1-D puts her near the bottom. That would lower her overall positioning, but I think she'd beat Hiro overall until I see otherwise. Tame is surprisingly high in the rankings, but loses a top three position owing to two C's.>>94676781Glad you enjoyed it! The whole thing was built around his end posing, but for it to work, I had to play around with the results from that one anon's chart, but I think it worked out. Just a good bit of cheer to be crushed a couple of days later when Sandy hog wilds.
>>94677777Now how much do they actually make sense to be in the top 4?
>>94677795Quite a bit, really. Crunch wise, they are all geniuses, and they've all been fluffed appropriately.
>>94677872Now that I think about it, were absolutely gonna fucking destroy UA at any interschool simulated combat with our sheer levels of genius. Tame has both Tactics and Genius with a combat specialization right? And then we have three more Geniuses atleast to lead strike teams. Not to mention the high power most of them have.
>>94674992I don't think it portrayed Orochi's actions that well. She would be more sarcastic and bitter about her A in Quirk Ethics than anything.
>>94677923Depends if we're following canon. If we are, then 1-A has Momo, Tenya, Bakugo, and a non-abused Shoto. However, they have no Izuku and no OfA, and therefore no protagonist power.>>94677925This is before Night of the Reaper, as shown by her white hair, so I figured that she wouldn't have been as depressed and hurt yet. I tried to allude to all of that being under the surface with the self doubt.
>>94678022Orochi had issues even before that. Due to her biohazard status, she was forced to eat quirk ethics books and know how to spell them backward.I don't think she would like to be good at something she was forced to memorize for her entire life.
>>94678022>This is before Night of the Reaper, as shown by her white hairWait, that doesn't make sense, does it? Wasn't Night of the Reaper a bit before finals? Or is this something weird like our written finals are a month early to put more focus on physical testing?
>>94678079To my knowledge, Night of the Reaper takes place at the end of March, while finals in Japan are done between the 8th and 11th.
>>94678022But is Bakugo even a threat without Deku and All Might and stuff to motivate him?Shoto without the trauma just means he's even worse at teamwork than normal. We would nodiff them
>>94678108Night of the Reaper was supposed to take place early March.
>>94678142Oh, and that was also the reason that the exams got pushed back a bit.
>>94678121Shoto was never born. None of those kids were, because that entire loveless quirk marriage was an insane, selfish scheme to outdo All-Might. Endeavour's still the type of guy to want legacy children, but not those ones, not that way, with not that woman. The person in our set of students most similar to the canon power level is probably Chris. Most of the class is above it, and a couple are below it. Hoge, for example, has a quirk as lame as Tail Guy, but doesn't have the training and experience that kid does. On the other end of the scale, someone like Noah could 1v1 anyone in their course and be confident of the victory. Anon wasn't kidding that our class is full of combat monsters, which is often why there was more SoL and drama produced than action. >>94678142Out of curiosity, what would that change about Inigoanon's writefag? Probably way less cute celebrating and Orochi is red mode so extra bitter?
>>94678250To be fair, the UA senior class had some fucking monsters in it too. Both in and out of canon. So its possible they just dont bloom as early as Shiketsu students.Atleast a few 3-bs could give atleast part of the class the One Million treatment.
>>94678250I'm not Inigoanon, but I'll take it as a compliment!
>>94678142>>94678146I see no reason for NoR to take place before the exams. If it was, then the finals would be pushed far further back, as not only were students injured and one was killed, but massive infrastructural damage was done. Under typical practice for natural disasters, the exams would be pushed back, far further than just a week or so.What's more, Shiketsu would have been on high alert prior to the exams owing to simple standard practice, while after the exams their guard would have dropped somewhat, as crunch time finished.
It is ironical that the only ones who advance the plotline in MHA are now Cityanon and Sandatsuanon.

And since I want to dedicate to Noah ending up in another class to lightly separate the two he's not a valid candidate for the protag class. That being said, I could see Hoge picking Sally as an assistant of some kind just so she could keep a close eye on her and act smug and superior about being able to directly and legally give her work.I need to finish my writing before I think about a build redux as well.

Also the Pro Heroes are peaked. It will hopefully mean no build LOSES anything due to the update aswell, since it only adds not removes.

>>94682115Cheers.I look forward to seeing the world fight back. I'd prefer it to be the hero side, but the infighting with the revolutionaries also sounds interesting. Some SoL is also welcome. As for the Kyoto Tower, I did initially suspect it's supposed to serve as a distraction for something, but then it ended up not connected to anything. The scene shifted to Saraki's office, so I thought that maybe that's what he needed the distraction for, but then there were zero mentions about him having any difficulties getting there, so no real reason for the distraction. If the Kyoto Tower scene were at the end, then I could have suspected it's a plot hook for the next writefag, but as it was, sort of detached, it felt like it's just a way for him to kill time. Doing so with major terrorist attacks comes back to the scale issue for me.As for Endeavor, I just hope he gets a send-off worthy of the number one hero, so waiting for the right timing seems like a wise choice. Top chart full of builds does sound cool.Happy New Year!
>>94682168no worries the hero side will have their chance (in fact, they'll beat sandatsu and send him to jail. I still want to use those npcs i asked for after all)Kyoto tower was goign to turn into a hostage situation. the part about the scale i understand, it just felt fitting when it comes to luring the number one hero.my plan was for endeavor to clutch a win, but the damage would make him retirethe part with saraki was the actual plot hook. mio tried to get rid of all the information the comission had on sandatsu, but Saraki still has a physical copy of his medical and psych records, which could be the perfect target for a heist. just imagine what the heroes could do with that informationi too want to lower the stakes a bit, but given sandatsu's role in the mp its a bit hard. I will try though, even if i havent figured out how im going to do itthings are looking good on the hero side though, with the student dorms and being second years and hopefully new hero charts too. Do you have anything planned?
>>94682286So, if I understand correctly, Kyoto Tower was supposed to be an Endeavor trap, but then that plan got postponed because of the timing, so the scene was just left as is without that part? Then I think repurposing it as intro to breaking into Saraki's would have worked a bit better than just leaving it detached, but I get the idea. Sometimes it's better to just push through with stuff than worry too much. (I should listen to my own advice, I tend to fall into fraud-mode way too often because of that)Endeavor capturing Sandatsu, but retiring after due to injuries sounds appropriate. Achieving an objective but having to sacrifice something of yourself in the process is a hero classic. If you want to lower the stakes, then you could have Sandatsu also get some kind of an injury nerf from that fight. Or maybe due to some weakness uncovered in retrieved records or something. I think it could tie up nicely. I'm not sure how the stakes could be lowered at this stage without lowering the power level. For now, I'm still busy irl, so I'm mostly just trying to catch up with the recent wave of writefags. After that, I'll try to go back to the spring break trip to Korea writefag I've mentioned before. I also have the intro to that long forgotten idea for the writefag with Chihiro, Smokin' and Chris. Filling out some internship stuff for Hifumi would be good, since I mostly skipped over those, but I don't feel very inspired for that.As for the second year stuff, no solid plans yet. Dorms sound interesting, but I'd like to see the roommate assignments before I start working on stuff for that. I'm a bit intrigued by the possible foreign exchange program idea. There are also likely to be some second year internships or work study (which one was part-time after school/on weekends option?), so maybe I'll get an idea for that down the line.I might also just write for Fate. I'll see what I'm in the mood for.
Can we start a new MP please. I'm so tired of Fate and MHA. Please let's just eat some crayons like the good old days...
>>94682406>If you want to lower the stakes, then you could have Sandatsu also get some kind of an injury nerf from that fight. Or maybe due to some weakness uncovered in retrieved records or something. I think it could tie up nicely. I'm not sure how the stakes could be lowered at this stage without lowering the power level.yea my plan for today is to brainstorm ways for him to be nerfedso far i got him being overly dependent on Hijack to activate and manage his arsenal, and his weird status a s a quirk would mean that he doesnt fully register as a "body" for the quirks he uses, so the safeguards they often have to protect their user fail him when he uses too much strength/bigger combos. Also every quirk demands concentration proportional to its complexity so if he splits focus across too many quirks, specially complex ones such as Breach or Drugs, his control diminishes>There are also likely to be some second year internships or work study (which one was part-time after school/on weekends option?)i think the work studydon't worry about inspiration bro, taking it easy is the best. >>94683103Thats how we got SCRAPPER IIRC, that was a fun little wihle.
>>94683202Normal difficulty with no extra points? Any limits on drawbacks?
>>94683243I'd say no world-altering drawbacks. Drawbacks that involve enemies of some kind may have them team up on players. Normal difficulty sounds good and balanced.
>>94683266Any limits on the powers?
>>94683291Limiting up to 15 SP is pretty solid and forces you to think about whether you want to get stronger. Don't include upgrades into that.
>>94682849Guardian Spirit is one that I felt we could do and have suggested in the past, the others are less appealing.
>>94683305Unbanning 20pointers proved that they really dont change much about worm if you allow them, Theres no reason to restrict them
>>94683323We're talking about the interactive here. You can very easily acquire powers for 20-30 SP that let you break the setting hard, and the shardless gives you practically unlimited access to OP abilities and combos.
>>94683337But they always lose to 'Cum Man' with the ability to teleport cum into their brain from anywhere in the multiverse the second they start acting up.Its typically self-balancing, but ill take your word for it theres too many of those interactive worms to dare try to find the right one
>>94683349Some anon is pissed off that his build idea got guessed.
>>94683349The perk section has options that allow you to immunize yourself to such things, just as you can buy a gorillion enemy drawbacks and enemy boosters that transform Entities into nigh-omnipotent deities. Multiverse slop is as much of a problem as you want it to be, honestly.
>>94683349It's this one https://cyoa.ltouroumov.ch/viewer/Anon wants to limit us to the T1 range

>>94683419>(Limit of 50 total in both points)That's too little, you need to pay for power sources, and going powerless gives you 50 CP on its own.
>>94683438>>94683432Oh that makes more sense.
>>94683314I remember one of the Yogsekais being good for this but I don't remember which one. For Guardian Spirits we just need a good setting.

>>94683524>For Guardian Spirits we just need a good settingInferiori in every way to rebranded Fate
>>94683569I am pretty sure that's the point, they are supposed to be realitively normal/plain/powerless or they would not need a guardian in the first place. By finding a setting we fix the ward problem too, we can just make a normal person from that setting as the ward.
>>94681499So we doing this? I'm guessing like 2xp extra?
>>94683583Fate is not better in every way, there are many things wrong with the setting and the cyoa too. We could try it but people seem to be very against a non grail war run, we already have a run going and the whole point was to find something that is not MHA or Fate.
>>94683610>the settingThat's what the 'rebranded' is for
>>94682622Some ideas for the nerfs:Let's split it into three stages.>First, when it happens:1. Fight with Endeavor. Big event, adds to number #1 being worth his rank. A result of damage taken, or maybe Endeavor pulls from the next point.2. Some secret weakness uncovered through the retrieved dossier from Saraki, and then exploited. An extra stage to achieve with obtaining the dossier, and a possible extra look on how Sandy's Quirk works.3. "Natural". No extra event really needed, it's just an inevitable end for Sandy. It would mean the battle against Endeavor will be at a handicap. Imo, that takes away from the number #1 coolness if he gets retirement worthy injuries in a fight against Sandy, who's just past his prime.>Second, why it happens:1. Body. Simple. It's just damaged beyond repair. Quirks are at their base biological, and it can no longer support them. Doesn't fit the fancy "he's not a person, he's a Quirk personified" theme that came up that well, but maybe it could work like that Reaper still has to be anchored to a body, and that's the Quirk that the body can no longer manage to fully support. 2. Vestiges. They've been brought up, so they can be used. Hijack is an option like you mentioned, but the vestiges from other Quirks waking up and opposing Sandy more actively are also an option.3. Quirk complications. The Quirks themselves stop working properly due to overload how many of them are, they mutated, or just their Quirk Factors got damaged.>Third, what happens:1. Reduced Quirk capacity2. Reduced Quirk control3. Reduced Quirk potency4. Quirk use causes self-damage5. Loss of control over more than Quirks (losses of consciousness, vestiges take over, personality splits into a "good" one that works against the main one)6. He becomes "vulnerable" and can be killed, so now he can't act recklessly and brute force. They can be mixed and matched, and there surely are also some other ways. This is just some food for thought.
>>94683596>By finding a setting we fix the ward problem too, we can just make a normal person from that setting as the ward.2 CYOAbros we're so back
>>94683603Nobody seemed particularly for it, so I imagine most of us wont bother to update our builds mechanically.
>>94683663Not necessarily, we don't need another cyoa to come up with a setting. I think we can just make one but if someone finds a cyoa that is just a setting then it would work.>>94683631You would need to take the "rebranding" pretty far to get rid of those problems. If you can specify a bit more we could make it work but right now it's too vague.
>>94683610>people seem to be very against a non grail war runNot really. I don't particularly care for grail wars, I'm just not picky enough to refuse to engage with one when generally enjoy the cyoa. I'm pretty sure the main reason anons throw fits about something besides a grail is because it's usually something that wouldn't involve servants.
>>94683596You're misunderstanding. There's no point in using a cyoa for an mp where half of the anons cannot make any meaningful choices.
>>94683655thanks for the suggestios honestly they are pretty goodim going to try and mix as many as possible since i think most of the fit well together>whencan be all three, with the endeavor fight resulting in a lasting alteration to sandatsu's body, while the info in the dossier points to a weakness that stems from his weird condition>whyi could probably mix all three together>whatprobably numbers 2,4, 5 and 6again, thanks anon, these also work really well with the built in counters his arsenal already has for the heroes to exploit
>>94683755I'm glad I was able to be of help.
>>94683755Barging in, I have some ideas about possible and temporary debuffs to Sandy.>HealingBasically, I have a writefag on slowcook mode about Chihiro, Sally, Hoge and Guest Character Momotaro against him. They will obviously get bodied, and Sandy will transport them to a factory/trap filled with Feral clones. Luckily, Orochi will barge him in the factory too (to also get bodied). The debuff is that Orochi will force-fed Sandy one of her red marbles, making his body go crazy in trying to deal with his metabolism going crazy, kind of an overhealing that screws his control over his quirks while being unable to regen. There is more to his defeat here, but I can't spoil it.
>>94683808sounds good, go wild!about the feral clones, its true he did grow a feral once from a severed arm but i never thought about him being able to mass produce them. I'd leave it up to feralanon though

We should do a Facility x Worm x Overchud x PMD run to set a trap for the vultures.
How about Bleach with a good cyoa?
>>94682849So about that Guardian Spirits setting. Any suggestions? I was thinking some modern day setting with street gangs mixed with paranormal shit, but that's pvp oriented. >>94686268This sounds good, we could also go with a covered up secret for the more outlandish guardian feats. Guardians being sent to the people in gangs mostly makes sense, they need the protection and there may be hope of turning them good, and I like the inverstigator idea too, they could be sent to fix things. Since we are talking about gangs and cultists we could have some form of tatoos of power? They make people stronger and the more important you are the more intricate you are given, it would fit the kind of preparation magic of cultists too. The detective agency could have a different version or simply have stolen it.
>>94686320Please don't use that premise, half of the fun of Overlord is the autistic character building.
>>94686371Don't worry, it's an Overchud mp and all the adhd anons have dumped Fate already. We're fine.
"overlord run" gimmick in almost 2025? this is why mha is nearing its 2nd anniversary, you niggas are pathetic
>>94686320I know people hate rulesfagging on crayons, but I think determining how level is handed should at least be discussed first. Level 15 is a fine start even if heteromorphs are gimped at first in terms of abilities, they'll manage with their stats being so high for a beginner, but I worry about how much of a sprint to level 2-530 there will be cause everyone is going to want their advanced classes to actually start developing their builds.Since its a New World start it makes sense to be at a low level cause it'll be average for inhabitants, but if we're just going to blow past levels and treat it like an rpg then it defeats the purpose. We'll probably never reach level 25 if we treat it like the actual canon though since we're not going to be carried by a Player and we're literal who's on the beginning of their growths. And before anyone says "stop ruining it with your autism and just let people have fun", I say, fair enough. As it is now however, it's basically gearing up to play DND without any planned sessions or narrator to determine what is going on so trying to base an MP on progression while lacking those seems kind of lame since we're not planning for narratively progressing a story but mechanically progressing instead.
>>94686526>2-530Fat fingered, supposed to be 25-30 since thats the range when a humanoid can take a base class + advanced, a demi-humanoid can choose a race + a base class, and a heteromorph to max out their race tree.
>>94686526I say, we make our level 100 full builds, and then write stories at various levels, letting the narrative and storytelling describe our stories, relationships, what brought us to this point, etc. If someone wants to write a level 50 story, they can. If they want a fresh start level 15, they can. And if they want to write an OP level 100 fight, they can do that too.
>>94686371I just want to write for Homura after I am done with holidays taking up all my time. I am not wasting my time on a FOTM.
>>94686539I mean that can work but that sort of deflates the whole progression angle, since it'd just be nonlinear storytelling where all builds have already developed to that point. Sure you can throw in curveballs like builds dying since Resurrection is a thing and they can come back. but it feels a bit liming since it's more like creating one really long backstory. Might be coming off as a bit negative but I just don't want the run to be dead in the water after posting, would rather measure twice and cut once and all that.
>>94686560>bit limingLimiting. Overlord has already started to melt my brain, and I wasn't even trying to calc out a stat sheet yet.
>>94686526I think progression is a neat gimmick but we need someone running things/pushing for progression to actually happen, in a similar way to Arenas. Also, that's something that is much easier to do as Players than as New World inhabitants so I'm not sure what angle to go with there.
This time last year, [624 / 48 / 50] on the 26th, [494 / 60 / 53] on the 27th, [609 / 77 / 54] AND [767 / 77 / 61] on the 28th. This year it's been a two day thread and only [330 / 26 / ???].This hobby is dead. Only /cyoag/ is worse.
>>94686737*only /cyoag/ is better
>>94686737It was dead when we started and was always only going to get deader. Go to /v/ if you want to numberfag.
>>94686737Faterena was kino, I know.Anyway we are alive as long as I am here. I never liked the rest of you anyway.
>>94686737Post the thread archives.
>>94686540Oh hey Homura anon, did you actually want Addy to teach him? Shouldn't be too complicated to have them bump into each other and and get something started.
>>94686829Look for yourself, you lazy ass. I already dropped the data. This isn't in MLA format.
>>94686737You must be really new to /tg/ if you think this is anywhere near bad
>>94686560>>94686576We should really just be Players.
>>94686576Yeah I started looking into it a bit more, and the level disparity was a lot more harsh than I remembered. The strongest humans pretty much capped before level 40, and even getting level 30 was top Hero tier. Anything above that would be getting into the strongest in Yggsdrasil, as hitting the 60's would make you nearly a god in any inhabitant's eyes. I guess it makes sense cause no one is meant to fully multiclass even if both classes rely on the same stats which is why you just get bog standard Warriors who've trained hard, plus every class is a true achievement of what you have obtained through hard work and talent, but feels pretty bad to make a build using these types of numbers cause that would make a level 25 human Knight a champion adventurer right off the bat, and adding another Advanced class would put them into the ranks of the strongest Heros. Even starting at 15 makes us ahead of the curve and at the tier of professional adventurers since we got our shit together and aren't trying to master our basic class. If we tried to go down this route of New World Inhabitants we'd have to go shonen MC tier of progression to actually have the potential of getting out of the level 20 softcap that the New World has for humans and other jobbers. Personally I think the Player route is easier because that explains why we just ignore the slog but it does basically trash the New World scenario in every way but treating it like an isekai.
>>94686904That's so boring though.Where's the STAKES?
>>94686884I remember a time when you saw a glut of new posts every time your 60 second auto-refresh went off, and it wasn't that long ago. It's you that's lost the plot.
>>94686907The setting is stupid. We'd get a lot more out of that game if we started ignoring lorefags.
>>94686924lollmaomaybe years ago grandpa
>>94686924Yeah but that's probably due to the 15 minute wait spam filter. How many new anons are going to jump in and see they gotta wait 900 seconds to make a post so their IP checks out. I had to wait just to chat, but it didn't matter to me cause I'm already in this thread for the long haul.
Anons, always remember; if you find a different anonymous collaborative fanfiction circle, I demand you let me know.>>94686934Yeah, the 15 minute spam filter probably was the biggest newfag filter in general for 4chan. It was really a terrible idea.
>>94686940>>94686934Its an attempt to get people to pay for the 60s cooldown to shitpost more. Its about money, not user experience
>>94686940>if you find a different anonymous collaborative fanfiction circle, I demand you let me know. This but not necessarily fanfic.
>>94686924Bro, did you miss the timer? That shit died as soon as hiro started that crap.
>>94686930I'm just wanting to lay out the issues of doing a New World Inhabitant run because if we were to do it, the expectations should be we're never getting past level 25 unless we're planning to cause major waves in the new world in the vein of shitting out 100 parahumans with powers to rival the Triumvirate localized entirely in Brockton Bay. Not opposed to that idea, but just saying how its going to shake out with the existing setting.
I wish there was a not shit log horizon cyoa
>>94686992What if you... made it?
>>94686924This was always gonna happen. People fall off then move on and I really doubt there's much to entice newfags here. This is also ignoring the fact that /tg/ as a whole has been slowing down in activity and we're still one of the faster generals.
>>94687006newfags won't show up to entrenched settings or group projects, that's just the way it is. you have the same people showing up to the same projects, but every time one finally drifts off, that's an irreplaceable loss. rather than purge periodically, we ossify.
>>94687023its time to return to our roots to reignite this general. MHA: 2, when?
>>94687023That's partially due to MHA scaring people off. We actually still get newfags on occassion but only the attentionfags mention that they're newfags. As for lurkers, we still get 60+ views on big writefags with a lot of views.Keep up hope anons.
>>94686907Maybe we play as prodigious adventurers coming to the fore as an influx of Yggdrassil Players get isekai'd into the world and start making their own waves? Leaves world building open, gives a reason we're suddenly leveling up (overall world stakes are higher, Players might be summoning/unionizing monsters/sending out armies/causing problems in general that we can grind on like never before and gives us "end game" enemies in the form of Players that, even if they aren't at level 100, are most definitely beyond 95% of New World inhabitants. Also gives a reason for New Worlders of disparate races to be working together, and not just parties of Humans & maybe an elf. Everyone's gotta group up when the Insect Armada led by the level 90 Player with the Hive Queen SARC shows up planning on eating the world, starting with new bug monsters making hives accross the kingdoms.
>>94687038>with a lot of views.*builds
>>94687030>MHA>the rootshow soon we forget.
>>94687030A good idea, but insufficient. MHA, Fate, and Worm all need to take a break for like a year. I'd include Pokemon in that list as well, were it not for the sheer number of people familiar Pokemon and therefore the potential depth of that newfag recruiting pool.
>>94687044I like the idea to bring the races together with a common threat as that fits the criteria of forcing a need for progression that was mentioned earlier. I think its best just to drop the soft level cap so people can move up past the 20's and have a chance to enjoy beyond the early level experience. Being mindful of how level impacts local society is good, but not at the cost of forever being jobbertier.
>>94687038There's zero proof that's the cause, or even that it's a real effect at all. People join ongoing projects all the time, often because it's a chance to make a mark on something that's already built up. Look at the SAGAN evo game that's been going on for more than a decade, or how capeshit comics always get new writers and artists, or how every stupid hack wants a hand in for Doctor Who, etc etc etc. On our scale, randos still join fanfic circles on other websites or join in on shared universe play-by-post roleplaying forums, either one of which is similar to what we do here. You're speaking from your own anxiety and universalizing it.
>>94687099Why would players team up with each other based on character race
>>94687149Anon's braindead from pol memes and podcasts, please have mercy.
>>94687146LMFAO ok where's the new MHAnons thenyou have Ianon who's 2 degrees adjacent to being a dumper and that's itI know you MHAfags can't help but cope, but yes, you're a tumor on this general's heart that prevents new blood
>>94687149Heteromorphs are subhuman and must be destroyed.
>>94687099I definitely don't think there should be a cap, but also think that only exceptional people should move past the soft cap regardless. There was iirc something about a native human swordsman starting to push past it and potentially getting to high levels eventually because of his encounters with the Yggdrasil NPCs, or at least it was kind of implied. I think the presence of players that don't instantly steamroll the setting would allow people to grow and eventually match them.Players showed up in the New World in a kind of level progression, right? The first one was some level 15 shitter, then the dragon kings were like 60+, and then eventually Ainz at level 100? I'm imagining in this scenario that progression had a lot more Players in between those points and at a much more rapid pace, every year or 5 years or ten years opposed to every millenia or whatever it was.>>94687149Not players, New World Inhabitants. They don't seem to race mix very much, if at all.
>>94687165You've made such an absurdly illogical post that I don't really have to say anything. You assume a premise and then demand other people disprove it, then double down when they do. This thread is doing badly because the whole website is. Newfags aren't a thing anymore.
>>94687168Damn bro I just needed the stats for my build, chill out. Why'd you pick something gay like an elf instead of something cool like me?
>>94687149What do you mean? It's a fantasy world so each of the races would have their own civilization, especially considering how different humanoids like Elves are compared to Demi-Humanoid Lizardman and especially compared to any Heteromorph. They wouldn't intermingle for any reason, and being a part of an adventurer group that came together to stop a threat that would endanger all of their respective homes gives reason to meet up instead of pretty much ignoring each other's presence.
>>94687180>so each of the races would have their own civilizationNot true in real history and not true in the OG lore so I don't know where you're getting this. Your boring ass D&D table?
>>94687178>You assume a premise and then demand other people disprove itActually the proof is the lack of MHA builds>then double down when they do.You didn't disprove anything KEK>Newfags aren't a thing anymore.Disproven by meMHAfags are the most disingenuous posters holy kek
>>94687189The lizardman live in literal huts in swamps. I don't really know what you're saying. We've literally seen the Dwarven kingdom where it's just Dwarves. The kingdom which Ainz fucks around is a Human Kingdom because it's mostly humans. Its not like there's complete isolation between the races but it's not on a super wide level, it'd mainly be just a couple individuals striking it out on their own.
>>94687180>They wouldn't intermingle for any reasonExcept trade, similarities of culture, immigration due to conflict, immigration due to jobs, and any of the other reasons people do so in the real world?>>94687212>loreshitter for a nonsensical settingThat explains things.
>>94687221Okay now I know you're takin the piss. We're not talking about trade we're talking about sending warriors and soldiers into people's land since our builds are wizards and fighters. Unless you're planning to play an ambassador as your Overlord character, then more power to you, as that's the only way I can interpret caring about shit like that.
>>94687210>MHAfags are the most disingenuous posters holy kekYeah, for the entire lifespan I've been here which is about a year and a half, MHAfags were some of the most pretentious and annoying. It's best to ignore them.
>>94687237>completely missing the pointThe point is that multicultural heterogenous civilizations would realistically exist dumbfuck. There wouldn't be any special reason for builds to team up "despite being different races" because a reason already exists: real world logic.
>>94687248I'm not sure what part of the New World Inhabitant scenario you missed. We're not Players in this scenario. We're people born into this world and dealing with threats that potentially have come from a Player. So we wouldn't have real world logic, cause it's not the real world.
>>94687263Why would we ever want to play in Overlord's garbage setting?
>>94687266Did you accidently tap into the Overlord discussion instead of the MHA one? Because you seem pretty lost, you came in right after we discussed exactly why and how we'd be handling the setting.
>>94687270No.You replied to me with >>94687180 and I think that post is stupid.
>>94687286Yeah. Your response to my post was after we discussed the setting and how we played it. So you just jumped in late.
>>94687294Ok? It's still retarded.
>>94687303And you got no stakes in the conversation since you weren't involved nor have any interest and just chose to inject yourself into it. I don't see how it's my problem. Or why it's yours either.
>>94687309If I didn't have any interest I wouldn't have replied, would I?
>>94687341There's a difference between being interested in the subject versus being interested in arguing about things you don't care about.
>>94687344And that difference doesn't apply here. Don't be a bitch, anon. Don't try and go "w-well you don't even care" when I call the shitty setting you want to do trash, when a better one (the one we make up) is readily available. I like making builds for Overlord too.
>>94687363See, even if I were to believe you, I'd still have to call you a dummy because we were just saying how we'd do away with stuff like the level cap and make a scenario to make people work together in order to ignore the setting's races mainly staying out of eachother's way, but you came and said how that was dumb. It was just the way it worked, which is why we wanted to change it, and we gave ideas on how. So you got hooked more on the problem then finding solutions that you looked over people giving solutions right in front of you.
>>94687210Yeah man you're definitely a newfag. That's why you talk like you're stuck in a 2017 twitch stream for 4chan reposts. What a giant loser you are. No wonder this place is dead, since turds like you have been in the punchbowl for almost two years.
>>94687396I wasn't gonna reply, but he sure does type like he just fell out from the dredges of /v/
>>94687396Dry the tears from your eyes and get some ice for your ass, anon.
>>94687375>but you came and said how that was dumbIs that illegal now? It IS dumb. Overlord's setting sucks, and it doesn't make sense for us to even have to make those changes. That's how much it sucks.
>>94687363Actually no I don't want to call you a dummy I want to call you a fucking retard. First you misinterpret us being Players instead of New World Inhabitants >>94687149, then you deny how the setting works despite the fact that everything we see portrayed of Yggsdrasil shows how higher level races basically do jack shit outside of their territory unless some high level prick decides to ruin some country's day >>94687221, then you try to interject real world logic because again, you forgot we are not playing as people from the real world but as people born into a fantasy world where races have not only extreme different physical differences, but also have exceedingly varied lifespans and also MAGIC >>94687248, and then as a defense you start just shitting on Overlord's setting and from there on just keep jumping deflecting from each point.Dude, I get it, you hate Overlord. But if you hate it so much then why try to derail a conversation when we're actively discussing how we're not going to play it vanilla because it's an awful playing experience, so that we can make it a much more enjoyable one. That's why I can't believe you when you say that at least you enjoy making Overlord builds because you got a stick so far up your ass its jutting through your fuckin eye sockets and blinding you to any productive discussion being said.
>>94686737To be fair the thread is kind of stale. Imagine hopping into this thread to see an MP that still has builds from nearly 2 years ago to make it seem like it's still dense and full of players. Gives off a sort of desolate vibe.I liked it better when we cycled through different cyoas at a decent pace, even if some of them didn't quite work out. Kept the builds fresh and kept things different.
>>94687433At this point it is our own setting. You're letting yourself get too vitriolic from the source material to let anything stem from it. Go ahead and not join in if you want, because if you like making Overlord builds but don't like the setting then maybe the best place for you is a 3.5e Character sheet builder since you cannot cope with any form of the existing setting being used.
>>94687441This is more a problem of faggots insisting every dump and shitpost needs to be in the build comp.

Why would I wait until the MP is started to complain? Are you stupid?Because you aren't going to play. It's that simple. They lose posters as a result, but the thread always recovers.

Don't buy it, shame on you for trying to weasel out of it.Yes lmaoYou can keep seething I guess but don't say I didn't warn you>Which is....? Gold, trinkets, valuables? We got motherfuckers who can create fortresses with magic. Put runes on weapons, because of your know, magic. Don't forget that was also because you originally misinterpreted what I was saying since I was talking about sending adventurers and high level warriors to other kingdoms. Already getting a failing grade.Aren't you just a beacon of intelligence? WOAW EVEN IN A WORLD WHERE WE HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS PEOPLE STILL WANT WOOD CARVINGS OF BEARS? HOW STUPID!And the reason that was mentioned is obviously because races would share a kingdom, anon. You're being stupid on purpose, just to defend your setting.>Calling it vanilla while saying you disagree with the changes discussed by other anons implies you think the Player route is default. It's literally the vanilla setting in the cyoa.>Where's your idea?We use the vanilla setting in the cyoa, and we have the setting make sense. Are you stupid?
>>94687624>Good god if I could weaponize incompetence like yours I could take down Ainz in a day.I hope you realize how faggy this sounds.I bet you chuckled to yourself after writing that and stroked your neckbeard.>Not only that, why would any of the kingdoms want to trade with each other when they already had tenuous relationships?Realistic logic.>is it really so crazy to say real world logic wouldn't apply because these people are so fucking racist or egotistical they would rather take over someone's kingdom than work alongside them?Maybe one or two or even 99% of regions on a continent. But literally everyone? That's retarded.Stop being so mad about me and everyone else knowing you love and will defend Overlord to your last breath.
>>94687660>I bet you chuckled to yourself after writing that and stroked your neckbeard.fuck you I snickeredI love it when anons fight, their retardation is so fucking funny

Every response of you fucking up reading and assuming we were players is right in thread, I don't know why you keep pretending its not.>Yes lmaoNo lmao, cause its just you, the shitstirrer, being stupid and not being able to weave together a semblance of not being wrong at any moment in time.>And the reason that was mentioned is obviously because races would share a kingdom, anon. You're being stupid on purpose, just to defend your setting. Why would it be obvious races share a kingdom? Is there a central united kingdom in the setting? Or are there multiple kingdoms, defined primarily by the races who inhabit it? Go and look up the wiki, it'll save you a lot of headache and being wrong.>It's literally the vanilla setting in the cyoa.So you do in fact think its the default. Glad we got that confirmed.>We use the vanilla setting in the cyoa, and we have the setting make sense. Are you stupid? But didn't you say, why would we ever want to play in Overlord's garbage setting? I thought it wasn't worth even making changes for. Now it suddenly does because you said it is. Weird how it works.>I bet you chuckled to yourself after writing that and stroked your neckbeard.I did laugh a bit. I had <100 characters left, might as well use the full reply. Anons :( pls stop fighting… im sad…
>>94687683>Maybe one or two or even 99% of regions on a continent. But literally everyone? That's retarded.Do you just not search the wiki for anything? The higher races do jack shit because there's so little of them left, they don't give a flying fuck about what goes on with the ants. And what do you expect from a fantasy world. It's Yggsdrasil, what are you expecting, a full political rundown from years 1-2000 including how geography has affected trade relations? I thought we were playing Overlord, not going into A Song of Ice and Fire.>>94687687I'm sorry anon but if I don't win this argument then my year will end on a bad note, and I cannot allow it to happen. That's why you should end your year on a good note by sliding in and giving a completely different third opinion to really put a twist on things.

>>94687732>Uh... I'm sorry that I have better things to do than monitor the thread the whole day I guess? And I already explained why.You didn't explain why, you keep saying you're objecting to the idea... but the original thing that started it off was wondering why players would be separated by choosing different races... when we were playing New World Inhabitants. So you entered the conversation wrong, continued being wrong, and want to end on being wrong. Plus the fact you consistently remain within 15 minutes of me posting shows me you definitely do not got anything better to do. Don't pretend either of us do.>I guess you think the pic is faked, then? Well, enjoy your cute little world.Yeah, cause I do think you're dumb enough to do that considering how you've comprehended everything else. And if it is? Well that guy's retarded too. It takes place right under the hill you plan to die on, we'll name it after you since you fought so very hard for it.>Coherency? It is coherent. You just don't like the way it is. >>94687881Good morning anon! Let us hope today is a productive and peaceful day, with plenty of writing and healthy discussion!

Because it is shit. And what do you count as ignoring? Disagreeing isn't ignoring. How is mistaking what I said disagreeing? You didn’t say you disagreed with it, you asked why it would be the case for Players. The answer is that it wouldn’t been the case for Players, because the topic was never about Players. I’d link the post but my hands tired from holding up a spoon you refuse to eat from.>True, but I will then make my male human wizard who remakes reality and causes the setting to make sense. He also causes Total Dragon Death.Abjuration specialist, counters with Timestop + Dragon Breath. There’s some strong humans yeah but as a whole Humans are weaker than the other races. I didn’t even bring the hypothetical dogs and us being able to use Magic on top of the once again hypothetical shitshow because it’d get even more complicated.
>>94687949>Humans are weaker than the other racesTo clarify, I don’t mean the shitters like goblins and such, mainly focusing on the races that have established kingdoms themselves.Back to the last point.>My logic for why the setting should not be the way it is is sound, my logic for why I want it like how I think it should be is sound, everything here is sound and unrefuted.Thats the main issue. You refuse to actually engage in anything about the material. I’ve never read a single novel from them but you know how I got my info? The wiki. If you don’t oppose using an actual wiki to find what you need, then why are you acting like it’ll kill you to do some brief searching over there. Fuck if you’re really that lazy, just google it. Get someone to digest the slop for you and give you a tldr on reddit. Anything is better than being willfully ignorant.
>>94686485>>94686526I honestly think we should use level 100 or at the very least level 80, anything less is too limiting for builds

>>94687560jsyk this post makes you look legitimately insane. You have to be disconnected from not just reality but also how these threads have worked since pre-split to say things like this. It just reeks of clinical paranoia. I hope you're over-stressed right now and this isn't your normal mindset because that's dire.
>>94687895NTA, but I have made steady progress on a writefag I don't think anyone will care about and most anons would have probably finished in an hour. But what progress I have made is enough that I'm feeling pretty positive and looking forward to writing some more later today. Good luck to anons on whatever they're working on and in having some fun discussions.
