>Camp Follower i.e. prostitute/pimp/washerwoman/tinker/fence
You're probably hardy and used to life on the road. You're not a warrior, but you can handle yourself in a bad situation. You know how to negotiate, speak multiple languages, and are probably good at doing spot repairs on kit. In a nautical campaign, you might be a sampan hooker, who also moonlights as a spy, smuggler, and information broker.
>Executioner/Torturer
You know how to use a sword, even if you aren't a duelist. Your skill is your life, you're probably very good at remaining calm in situations of extreme stress. Ironically, your knowledge of anatomy actually makes you an extremely skilled surgeon, meaning you're just far more likely to heal than to harm in your day to day life. You also have an excuse to travel, as your skills are in demand.
>Eunuch
You are a valuable and trusted servant to extremely wealthy and powerful people. You may be a fanatical bodyguard or a highly educated advisor, or something of both. Because you were cut, you have no hope of establishing any kind of dynasty of your own, and are therefore trusted implicitly in all things by your master.
Depending on your culture's values, you may be an object or scorn, pity, morbid curiosity, or religious reverence.
>Actor
You might be part of a traveling troupe or be an itinerant monologist. You're probably extremely well versed in legends and lore, and you're charismatic. You may have modest skill as a swordsman. You're used to travel.

But slave owners love their slaves. Tenderly.

Funny how all of these are rollable backgrounds in WFRP 2e.
>>
>>94722565
That's because WFRP is genuinely the best take on fantasy RPGs. It does DND better than DND ever has.
>>
>>94723860
WFRP might do OSR alright, but it's way too mudcore for DnD

Literally just pirate the WFRP 2e Career Compendium and open it to a random page.

Idiot.

>>94729566
Salt can also appear in ore mines, when there's nearby mineral spring or seawater seepage. Makes it more of a nuisance than harvestable by-product, because it accelerates corrosion.

Tower Dungeon, latest manga from Tsutomu Nihei, still being updated, I like it and suggest it to others, when asked, but it's not for everyone, since Nihei is on the weirder side of jap autism spectrum.

>>94710331
Patron of the questionable arts (those tapestries of the queen selecting loaves of bread won't pay for themselves).

If Nihei shit clicks for you, you might as well read everything he's made.
It's fucking weird and unhinged at times but always fucking great,
Gods I love Blame! and Sidonia.
And Biomega, sure.

Depends on the system, setting, etc. Perhaps if you gave us more info on your game we could provide input onto potential backgrounds or cultures adventurers could arise from, but with such vague, navel-gazing, solipsistic masturbation as the OP no one can help you, not even yourself.
>>
>>94748940
lmao

>Q Hayashida, former assistant/disciple of Nihei
That's not true. Hayashida Q has never worked as an assistant before, plus Nihei never had assistants, to begin with.
