Does your Jumper hate happy couples? Especially if the waifu of that couple is someone on Jumper's future companion list.

Yes
>Especially if the waifu of that couple is someone on Jumper's future companion list.
Even moreso as the Jumper will feel cucked. But it's a good thing he has an age reversal gun that can reverse a woman to the age that she was a virgin.
>>

No Jumper doesn't resent other peoples happiness. Even if its a happiness he will never know himself.

Do we have a city of heroes jump?

I finally decided to play on the Homecoming fan server and it turns out the game is really fun. I especially enjoy being able to fly around everywhere at-will. And the free-form superpower selection is really great, though I wish there were a few more options.

How does this work?

Like what if she lost her virginity early.

Does it just make her lower than that age?

There was an OC companion based on the lovely bones girl in the DC jump and it made her age a year earlier than her death in the movie.

As someone that managed to sit through a few seasons. No. It was entirely mid back when the original creator was alive and has gotten constantly, steadily, worse since he died.

The only actual good things about the setting are the weapons, and the fact that it has a soul-based version of Halo's forcefields
>>
>>94740568
No, it starts mediocre with good moments here and there and then just become more unsatisfying as it moves along with good moments becoming a lot sparser, and despite what many claim most fan content regarding it is even worse.

It's not actively horrible like many claim, much more often it's just boring.

Is there going to be an option to buy your own megacorp? Or at least a good starting point for building one?

You could offer a few expensive options for magic/steamtech that require also taking some kind of “fantastical world” 0 point Drawback, while keeping the resy of the jump mundanish, so people could choose which kind of setting they'd prefer. Whatever you end up going with, I'm really looking forward to that jump, it just hits way too many of my fetishes.

No he doesn't hate them usually, like if its Tomoe or Brynhildr in Fate Jumper doesn't hate Yoshinaka or Sigurd but if they have to go, they have to go, usually be Jumper seamlessly incarnating as them or being their reincarnation. Except Leon in Mobuseka, I take pleasure in turning his bitch ass Japanese soul into fine particulate before he has a chance to Leon. Issei in DxD is a weird case I don't really hate his character reading about him but imagine being in the same general area as him would make me want to turn him into a statistic like the rest of his siblings.

As a half ghost enchanter, I have access to selective intangibility and duplication powers. Combine those with a specially enchanted net and I can just fly around under old mines and places known for gems. The net is designed to only allow gems and precious metals to stay in it. I then toss whatever fills my net into a bigger filter that breaks it down by element or gem type. It works great because even old mines thought to not be worth the effort can easily make money if you do not need to mine.

My jumper is always extremely wasteful since he knows he's usually staying in a setting for a decade.

So this is a long as hell shot given its a older jump and not really talked about but in the lord of light if you go drop in do you think it'd be possible to reach demigod status in jump like the perk sorta implies given "next" lives can sort off get sped up since there just transferring consciousnesses from one body to another.

>Miles: Mhm. Man yeah, this was- we had to cut a lot of stuff out of this episode. I think we talk a little bit about it later in 6 so I won’t get to deep into it now but there was a bunch of things that we kind of still needed to touch on from the previous volume. Obviously, Yang and Blake had a really traumatic event that they went through together that, you know had this idea that the SDC, you know, brands and labels a lot of their cargo and stuff and this idea that, although you know it’s- we never say it so I guess technically it’s not canon or whatever but.. We had this idea that, you know Adam, as a terrible of a person as he was, when we was younger, potentially got into an argument with someone at an SDC place and someone grabbed a brand and just let him have it and that lead to the injury that we saw on his face in volume 6. So we wanted to be very sure to plaster the SDC logo all over this area, to really put that in the forefront of Blake’s mind and Yang is kind of the only person that notices. Setup a conversation for them later.
>>
>>94741054

>>
While we're on the subject of the Faunus, recall some of Blake's behaviors:
>Freaks out around Zwei because he's a dog
>Craves fish
>Can be led around with a laser pointer
My hypothesis is that the reason the Faunus were already being shoved in cages during Ozma's first respawn despite their two guaranteed bonus superpowers (they have Aura, Semblances, and Dust access like humans, plus universal night vision and a random animal power, which can include flight, camouflage, or possible even regeneration) is that early humanity was able to exploit the stereotypical animal behaviors that Faunus seem to have as inbuilt behavioral tics. Send dogs against cat Faunus, lure bear Faunus into traps with honey, that kind of thing. Terrifying, when you think of it.
>>
>>94741057
...how the fuck do you use a branding iron on metal crates?

Interesting.
>Rabbits were introduced into England by the Normans, and until the late 19th century were kept in protected enclosures known as warrens. These were heaps of earth with multiple, well-ventilated inner chambers where rabbits mated, gave birth and raised their families. The pillow-like mounds were often built in oblong shapes and sometimes were connected with each other with stone-lined tunnels. To prevent the rabbits from escaping, a field of pillow mounds was surrounded by a moat, or ditch filled with water. A fence provided protection from predators. Many warrens were accompanied by a lodge and a watchtower where the warrener lived.

A few weeks ago I saw this pic along with a suggestion for an AU fic where it was Blake instead of Adam who been branded. Instead of having her bow/ears be the "big reveal" she instead would've worn an eyepatch to hide her scar till her big argument with Weiss to show why she was so pissed as the Schnees.

Personally I thought it was a cool idea, at least it would've Blake a bit more motivation for what she does and helped illustrate the Faunus are indeed being treated terribly way sooner in the story.

Machina is hyperfocused on the moment of corruption - anything more than five minutes beforehand or afterwards is irrelevant. This makes it very difficult to have a coherent narrative, because we don't see shit about what they do. Like, the most interconnected things get is Minotaur being pissed at... /jc/, can you name a bigger cuckquean's than Kang Mirae?
This bitch was singled out by fucking God because her magic is so impressive, and after being sealed in a place without mana, she discovered a way to create it from literally nothing.
A ridiculous feat the system which records everything in countless worlds announces as something that it has never seen before and cannot comprehend, and prompts her to join the super special club for super special people, which includes basically God and the protagonist alone at this point. She then rejects the offer which comes with no strings attached because she loves the MC, a line of reasoning that has nothing to do with anything.
But she's not even his main waifu and frankly she's not even in his Top 5. Frankly I don't believe he even thinks about her, they haven't seen each other in years and they had never really interacted at all before that.

Sure I can. Sam's nameless, faceless wife who the ending of Supernatural went out of it's way to avoid giving any distinct character traits to, because the narrative ITSELF only let her exist so that her SON could have a vaguely Dean-like exchange of words with Sam on his deathbed right before Sam himself went to Heaven to be with Dean. You described a woman who was cucked out of the MC in-universe, I'm describing a woman who was NARRATIVELY cucked out of EXISTING by the NARRATIVE in any meaningful fashion except to serve as a kind of meat catheter through which the spiritual successor to Dean Wichester could tearfully usher Sam into his brother's arms.

I used to think it was pretty normal for people to run chains without any kind of benefactor. I'm starting to think I was wrong.

How many of you have no kind of benefactor in your Chain?

For those who do have benefactors, how much to they actually impact your Chain? Do they demand anything in particular from the Jumper? Do they have any goals of their own? How often to they butt heads with your Jumper? Would your chain be that different if your benefactor was replaced with some non-sentient plot device?

It starts off as some all powerful benefactor tat has no physical form, then as jumper becomes more powerful and is able to comprehend more and ore things across the multiverse, it starts to look like a big eldritch monster, then finally it starts to look and act like jump-chain.
>>
>>94741677
>For those who do have benefactors, how much to they actually impact your Chain
I have no idea how to write a benefactor in a prologue and every attempt I made was shitty. So now I just had a note that just said
>read this 'jumpchain.pdf' and have fun!

Basically there is a benefactor but Jumper has no idea why he's jumpchaining or if there's even a point to all of it. I'll write in some lame excuse later but I mostly use jumpchain to fulfill fantasies of going into my favorite settings so it's not a really high priority
>>
>>94741677
I never have a benefactor because the concept of some nebulous being creating a chain is extremely bizarre and nonsensical to me. It works as an extremely bare-bones and simplistic justification for Jumpchain in its very early days but we've moved far beyond Jump-chan as a concept. So I usually just concoct some plot reason for why the chain works the way it does and then run with that since it makes for a vastly more compelling long form narrative than "A cosmic wizard did it."

The corpse's last thoughts are still aware and active enough that it can explain what it did and why, despite being more of an echo of a dying thought than anything else. It has no real influence on the mechanism of jumpchain anymore, but the sheer weight of what it once was is still enough to warp reality. It only shows up in Jumps 50 and 99 of my chain so far, and I have yet to actually plot out that whole conversation.

The long and short of it though is that as it was dying it decided to leave something behind that would gather up the remnants of its lost power and existence then rearrange them into something that could survive what killed it; that's the Ascension Engine (plot device) that facilitates Jumpchain. It never actually got to choose an heir though, so it just sorta tossed the key to the Warehouse and Ascension Engine into the chaos of unreality in hopes that someone/something would stumble upon it. Jumper is literally just a random soul who stumbled upon it, no higher purpose than "I wanted to leave a legacy behind and you happened to pick it up".

Okay but SHE HAD A PERSONAL HISTORY. Distinct character traits. Some sort of aspiration, if only romantic. She had preferences, a known fashion style, the essential elements of being a PERSON. You can look to her and point out her joy and her sorrow, record her journey through life as a person. Ultimately, her failure is just a grander example of someone who could've married into money but ended up working at McDonald's instead. Who are you to say she didn't find some smaller, more personal but no less meaningful joy in life somewhere later down the road? Even if it isn't part of the story, it's something you might extrapolate based on the trajectory of her life.

The mystery woman Sam Winchester married is so divorced of any kind of canon character development it's like a fucking Excrucian came along and erased all traces of her existence apart from a faint, blurry silhouette and her goddamn womb. She has NO trajectory to her life except being the vessel by which Dean is reborn in spirit into this world so that the true Dean can reunite with his Sammy. She has NOTHING. She is not a character, she is a wet hole clumsily used to cover a plot hole (Sam being nominally straight but subtextually glued to Dean at the hip).

>>94741677
>how much do they actually impact your Chain?
The Benefactor tries to be a noninterventionalist who normally just wants to be entertained. Over time however, the Benefactor has become more attached and clingy the longer I've gone on jumping. This is the in-universe explanation for why old jumps tend to be stingier in what they offer, while new jumps let you straight up buy the MC's existence and cheat skill with under 1000 CP. Or as it were, become an Outer God from the get-go. A few times after the original Light of Terra incident, she has thrown a tantrum at another cosmic being trying to intervene in my chain

1/2
>>
>>94741677
I don't. The chain is my jumper's spark leading him into his greater planeswalking abilities. Basically the chain is the tutorial.
>>
>>94741677
I almost always style the concept of the Jumper as a self-made existence. It's more interesting for the Jumper to try and puzzle out how their powers work and how to traverse different settings than to write some incredibly dull scenario where an omnipotent God gives you a shopping list and tells you how it works. It also turns the Jumper into an active agent rather than a reactive one, which is far more interesting to write about.

>Do they demand anything in particular
In-universe, she has not thought through the strict definition of "entertainment" very well. Mostly she just wants a friend, and is very appreciate of taking narrator or "you can have teatime with me" or letter-writing items in the chain that let us correspond more directly.
>goals
The Benefactor's personal goal is to be a benevolent and all-powerful deity, to fully separate herself from the horror inflicted by her family's mere existence. She is having trouble with this because she embodies the beginning of all things-and is strictly separated from their ending or preservation by her own nature. So she is kind of just sulking about being unable to do it.

This has nothing to do with the metaphysical construct of Jumpchain. Jumpchain itself is basically something like a higher dimensional board game she and YHWH came up together to pass the time. It broadly maps YHWH's ascension from a local storm god to the consciousness of the Ain Soph in it's current state, and the Benefactor's journey to discover how to relate to mortals. But ultimately, it is a selfless gift, and if the Benefactor was trying to actually accomplish something it would look very different.

>How often
The most memorable times was when I of all people stood up for the Outsider when she was trying to punish him for intervening with my chain, and much later on when she took some unused CP in DYN Freaks to turn herself into an Outer God companion when I finally let go of the chain construct right before DC Comics.

>different
Subtly but profoundly. The Benefactor is a walking contradiction to my Jumper's assumption that the Outer Gods are unilaterally irredeemable monsters that he tries not to think about even after finally accepting her true nature.

I want to be maximal try-hard lazy by constantly teleporting instead of moving. >For those who do have benefactors, how much to they actually impact your Chain?

For my main chain? Less a benefactor, and more a catalyst. A soul felt great kinship with and love for the Moon. This the Moon saw, and upon that soul's death the Moon took that soul for its own, loosening its bonds to the Saṃsāra, and tossing that soul to another World, where it might be reborn as its child.

In doing so, while allowing the soul to retain its memories, the Moon forced upon that soul the trappings of an Enlightenment that it had not actually achieved. Because of this, the soul has no control over the worlds it visits, nor the form/life it manifests in beyond a degree of growing subconscious influence. The Moon has some influence on how things goes, but not as much as a benefactor is normally assumed outside rare occasions. Typically those that involve other entities with the same level of multiversal reach.

Other chains include one where the jumper reincarnated normally into another universe as a cannon character, accidentally pulled a Hamefura, and then after about ten years from recalling her memories really fucked up her attempt to brute force a way back to her previous reality which sent her on the actual chain proper (the reincarnated life is mechanically just a normal build with the Hamefura reincarnation perk as a baseline ability via house rule). And then there's a few other more conventional chains that have a benefactor whose generally distant and aloof but occasionally puts in "requests" or meddles for their own amusement.

Blink, yeah. It allows you to teleport yourself and/or anything you're touching to anywhere within a range of several hundred yards and modify its orientation, trajectory, and momentum to anything that's physically possible after emerging from the other side. The teleportation is instantaneous, activated as fast as you can think, can be chained as many times as you want, and the power gives you superhuman sensory input (allowing you to do shit like teleport out of the way of bullets despite otherwise being a regular human) and spatial awareness and prevents you from ever becoming physically disoriented.

Despite seemingly being pretty weak, it's actually absurdly powerful since you can do shit like teleport a small object and modify its velocity to 99% the speed of light to impact the surface of your target with the force of a nuclear bomb. And I don't believe there's any mention of the Manton Limit in Blink's function, meaning you could also potentially telefrag people with objects as well.

So I just watched the anime of Slave Harem (which amusingly censored out the word slave from the title entirely) and I'm honestly kind of shocked at the "plot". The first few episodes are literally about the protagonist figuring out how to murder people for money so he can buy a slave waifu to bang and then every episode after that spends a good 10% to 20% of its runtime having them fuck. The rest of the waifu's only show up in the intro's / outro's with two exceptions, one at the start of the second episode where it's basically the protag 10 years in the future coming back to visit the place where he first showed up when he got isekai'd and then literally the last two minutes of the final episode where they all show up in a montage of him buying them from various slave traders while the final minute is him having an orgy with them all.

It's just kind of wild how this shit actually got produced and how it chose to end the season. There's no big season finale, no overarching plot hooks to explore or goal to work towards and instead it just ends with a montage of the dude going "I'm gonna get a harem!" and then literally getting and fucking a harem.

To keep this mild rant jumpchain related what *is* there to do in the Slave Harem jump aside from purchase and fuck a bunch of sex slaves? And maybe, I guess, go dungeon diving? Is there anything else going on or is it literally just that? I pay for answers in rant related coin.

>>

As stupid as that sounds I can almost respect that they knew what they were there to do and didn't waste any time with pretense of being something more than just shallow wish fulfilment. Quite often the "plot" for those sort of shitty shallow harem and wish fulfilment shows might as well not exist. It's kinda more honest just to be upfront about it.
>>
>>94741956
What I meant by that is that there wasn't really a plot at all beyond fucking slave waifu's and the occasional dungeon dive to collect drops for money. It genuinely seemed, from the anime at least, that there was nothing else going on beyond that.

For me, the good thing about the Catalic Church was their capstone perk, my plans for the jump were more in line with Civilian Renegade. Creating my own version of the Catalic Church in Elzikyuchi could be fun though. For bonus crossover points, the Seems Familiar drawback offers FGO and Touhou.

That's not how Blink works. It only lets you modify physical orientation and momentum to something that you or the object can physically achieve. It WILL let you teleport things to throw them as fast as you possibly can though

I guess you could try to explore the class/leveling system spread the knowledge in society.

People in settings actually have pretty much no idea how anything works, like they don't even know that classes have levels other than the explorer and adventurer class(since those are actually measurable since the number of item slots reflect the level), and they don't know that basic classes often need to reach a certain level to qualify for the higher class so they don't understand why priests can only change some people to that class.

Likewise people don't understand that only some items have enchantment slots as they have no way to see them, and they assume an enchantment being successful is dependent on the talent of the smith.

What practical purpose could you even have for something like this? What could you really need to do that you couldn't do by just more efficiently grouping teleport spams for multiple targets or better accomplished by higher processing/time dilation? Like, between this and the momentum alterations it just sounds like overkill from shit optimization of unrelated teleport/telekinesis.

>>94741825

Huh, I must've misremembered it then. In that case it's probably the weakest power on the list then. In fact I would argue it's inferior to Oni Lee's canon power since his also copies his equipment and stuff. It lacks Oni Lee's drawback of clone rot but without the momentum amp it has no actual offensive utility whatsoever unless you assume that it bypasses the Manton Limit.
>>
>>94741980
Because usually even lazy wish fulfillment isekai tends to have some sort of plot even if it isn't particularly original. I mean look at isekai smartphone as an example, that's about as by the numbers as it gets and even it has a plot beyond just "collect waifu's".

>>
>>94741981
>What practical purpose could you even have for something like this?
This is explicitly for impractical purposes. I want to avoid walking. Avoid moving at all. And am going to use grand spatial-warping powers for that sake. I will look normal to an outside observer, but in truth will be teleporting dozens of times a second so that the acceleration of gravity if flipped and forcibly cancels itself so I don't have to exert any muscular force to stay standing. Every step I take will just be spatial repositioning that appears similar to physical movement because I'm teleporting fast enough that the human eye doesn't notice any actual difference. I will be maximally lazy via doing everything via teleportation.
>>
>>94741987
It can still add momentum. Just not the incredibly unrealistic amounts of momentum you seemed to think it could add. It's also one of the best defensive powers, considering the superhuman spacial and situational awareness. Teleporting around hitting people with storms of blades is rather effective.

... Mind you, my favourite power is Orbital Lock, entirely because you can just buy a bullwhip and start hitting people with indestructible supersonic buildings
>>
>>94741987
Oni Lee's problem isn't "clone rot", it's that it creates a flash clone of him and then kills the original. The new Oni Lee only thinks he's creating clones, the reality is that the original Oni Lee killed himself seconds after first using his power and every version of him since then has been doing the same thing every time they activate their power.

That's the fault of the way the system is set up and not the fault of the slave traders themselves. Killing the slave traders doesn't change that, and given it's a world where a level system exists and people can be much stronger than regular people without magical slave contracts to keep people under control the only other reasonable alternative would be to just execute them since you'd have to be insane to keep a bunch of high level brigands, thieves, killers and etc all in one place (ie: a jail or prison).

Upon a random farmer breaking said tablet while trying a pull a stump out of his yard, there was enough built up worship for futa to spontaneously infect a number of mythological species as well as to outright create a new one. Late for the RWBY discussion, but important note for people looking to companion Penny: As a gynoid, Penny doesn't produce Aura naturally, and is borrowing her supply from Dr. Polendina through a sort of pseudo-soul-splitting process. In order to keep her running at 100%, you're going to have to either take the old man with you as well, learn his research to share your own, or modify her with the Staff of Creation (this will tie up the Staff, since it can only maintain one Wish-like effect at a time).
Without her Aura, side effects are unknown, but could range anywhere from her becoming a glass cannon (keeping her weapons as an Atlassian war machine, but losing her Aura shields) to losing her bespoke spark of humanity and reverting to a mere AI.

Penny can regenerate that chunk herself just fine, she doesn't need Pietro to do it. He needed to do it twice because Penny technically died during Vytal.

Isn't that patently untrue because the bridge network persisted for a significant amount of time after Penny's body swap (enough for that fight and some drawn out dialog to occur) and only collapsed because it was built in a dimension that the genie went out of their way to state was going to be an issue before either of those wishes was made? It seemed the problem was more that the subspace they were using is kind of like the lanes between in KH or the Blind Eternities in MtG (before the de-sparking mess) as far as being outside the local realities and kind of hostile to things that belong in a more normal space existing there for too long.

It's a bit confusing but the Staff did not really create a human Penny. IIRC, Ruby told the genie to "get creative" and separate the human Penny soul from the virus-infested robot. This counts as the robot body being the creation and not the human.

>Wasn't that because Atlas was using the Staff as a power source
Yep, and it used some Gravity Dust as well for appearances.

>>

To be fair, like 90% of Willow's personal problems would unironically be solved by Jumper NTR'ing her away from her husband.
>>
>>94742063
>>
>>94742264
Even by that logic, the robot body didn't disintegrate or anything like that as a result of the bridges being wished into existence, the virus just did its job and rendered the parts nonfunctional by short circuiting a bunch of components enough that it smoked but not so much that it exploded, just kind of keeled over.

The answer is always no.

That's because creating the bridges comes later, after Whitley gets the idea. We never cut back to see the robot body disintegrating but it's implied. Penny's human body is literally just a result of a technicality that a soul cannot exist without a body, so a human body was just willed into existence without counting as a wish.

How familiar are you with Robert Eggers' body of work? He's the guy who did the Witch, the Lighthouse and the Northman.

If the answer is "not at all", TLDR it's atmospheric gothic horror where the prevalent theme is THE UGLY OLD BASTARD IS ABOUT TO RAPE YOU, YOU WILL BE DEFILED FOREVER with all the subtlety of a brick to the head. The good bit is that all the special effects are top notch, Orlock is played by Bill Skarsgard (It) so you're getting top quality creep acting and the leading actress is surprisingly good for a nepo baby. It's actually kind of hard to explain the main flaw, it's like...the movie is a little TOO bombastic about trying to sell it's core theme? I felt similarly about the Northman, all the right elements are there but I feel the score/directing sometimes tries a little too hard to go DUN DUN DUN at you. Definitely liked it way more than the Northman though, it's closer to the Lighthouse which I feel nailed the director's strengths the best so far.

Hmm. To try to explain, there is a part where a guy falls out of Castle Orlok's window, is dragged away by the river before the Count can get him, washes ashore, is nursed back to health and exorcised by nuns, rides on horseback directly for Wisborg-and that's the justification for him arriving hours ahead of Orlock's ship. I did enjoy the movie a lot so it's very hard to explain the few flaws without sounding really nitpicky, but in this case it felt like the plot was really contriving to ensure a specific scene could happen.

It's funny how modern media portrays deities as "This is just a guy like you in the ultimately pointless world and he sucks ass" as opposed to "This is an anthropomorphization of the metaphysical forces that make up the structure of our reality and give it meaning" like actual pagan gods.
>>
>>94742379
Because RWBY girls, the actual characters not the fanfic versions or the ones that exist only in your headcanon, are so boring that sometimes adding a massive futa cock somehow improves their character.

>>94742391

>>

>>
>>94742389
I agreed right up to

>actual pagan gods

Brother, Hesiod successfully convinced entire generations of ancient Greeks that Zeus was a horni fucker and Snorri records Loki as tying his nuts to a goat to cheer up a goddess. Gautama cursed Indra himself to be covered with a thousand vaginas, Sekhmet was defeated by tricking her into drinking enough beer to pass out, and Maui died trying to sneak into an underworld goddess' vagina. The truth is pagan gods were always Those Dudes Who Kind Of Suck as much as they were personifications of metaphysical forces.
>>
>>94742225
The plot's obviously angling towards RWBY gathering all of the McMuffins, uniting the people against Salem, and saving the world, but it's hard to see how it gets there without contrivance.
>>94742375
Menagerie is also under Ghira's governorship, which can be charitably described as tenuous and indecisive.
The Vacuo refugees are also coming in from the panic and horror of invasion, terrorism, and the destruction of their home, and are going to be a massive Grimm magnet.
Even Ironwood's place to just fuck off into orbit and stalemate Salem forever is doomed because he doesn't realize that Dust just stops working outside of Remnant's atmosphere.

Assuming the hypothesis of "a bunch of local divine founders got syncretized with Zeus" is even remotely accurate, that didn't help either. Though it wouldn't have mattered as much if not for that four-century period where the Greeks mostly forgot how to write and imported a bunch of Near-Eastern ideas. Zeus wasn't even that important to the Mycenaeans, but suddenly he's the third in a succession of supreme deities just like Teshub, and suddenly he's instigating a flood myth just like Enlil and YHVH.

I wouldn't consider 18 to be peak human. Like an average human has 10 in each stat. A trained soldier or skilled mercenary is like 12-14. Having an 18 in your physicals would make you mildly superhuman, more similar to Conan than an IRL peak human.

They made the warp have chaos gods in the first place, sure, but the Eldar creating Slaanesh is what cracked open the material universe and allowed the immaterium to spill into it. Chaos wasn't able to act in any appreciable way outside itself until the creation of Slaanesh and the Eye of Terror threw off the existing balance, killed off the eldar gods that were previously able to counteract the chaos gods in the immaterium just fine up to that point, allowed the denizens of the warp to much more freely interact with the materium, and facilitated the opening of further warp rifts in a vicious cycle that inevitably plunged the galaxy into the state of the 41st millenium's FUBAR canon situation.

In the short term they mostly just need to come up with a way to get air and ensure it doesn't disperse into vacuum, and a way to reduce radiation so that they don't fry from the sun's UV. Once they've got that, they should be fine to proceed with terraforming to their hearts' content.

I don't believe that apparition would allow them to teleport between the moon and earth, but portkeys almost certainly could, so that's a way to transport resources if they can't transfigure moon rocks into everything they need.
>>
Since that other anon asked about isekai jumps, wasn't someone working on a jump for Death March Rhapsody? Anyone know how that's coming along?
>>
>>94742492
I mean, is that really the case? You probably wouldn't need to pioneer much at all. The only thing you'd probably need is some sort of ward that blocks out radiation and dangerous particles. Harry Potter already has wards and stuff for creating self-isolated spaces with self-replenishing oxygen and wards able to disintegrate matter crossing its boundaries. And Transfiguration and Herbology could handle terraforming the environment into something sustainable.

>>94742493

>>
>>94742490
Moderately difficult, but significantly more dangerous than it is difficult. The Bubblehead Charm already exists as an example for wizards creating spells that create breathable air for them in hostile environments, and various shielding charms also exist. Combine some form of weight-lowering enchantment and a levitation spell, and it shouldn't be too difficult to make a bare-bones "rocket" that could safely leave atmosphere. But that's where the problems start. Wizards are uneducated morons with far more power than sense, and it sincerely wouldn't surprise me if they decided to just walk outside of their own shields/habitat out of sheer thoughtlessness; they can take iron balls to the head at 80 mph and effortlessly heal broken bones and many other mundane injuries, so the threat that hard vacuum presents very likely simply wouldn't register to them. That's not mentioning the constant radiation they'll be bombarded with that isn't being diffused and weakened by the atmosphere, heat management, space debris, and more. And if they do land on the moon? Consider the fact that moon dust is incredibly sharp, incredibly toxic, and incredibly likely to get everywhere from even the most minor movements. It's not something the average wizard would give any thought towards, but even if they could make a habitable dome on the moon they'd likely just ignore the dust because it's just dust, right? But that shit WILL shred their throat and lungs like razor blades.

The magic exists to make this project a whole lot more possible than it seems at first glance. But the body of knowledge and sensibility does not exist to ensure that wizards will survive their first steps on the moon.

>>94742599

>>
>>94742600
Not necessarily but in practical terms yes. The magic exists to make traveling to and terraforming the moon an absolute possibility, but the sheer number of dangers and difficulties one will face along the way requires a healthy education in astrophysics, lunar geology, and plain old engineering that any traditionally raised wizard simply won't have. I want to reiterate this: it is entirely, perfectly possible to either modify or invent the spells required to deal with every single problem one would face setting up a self-sustaining lunar colony. We've seen examples of just about everything necessary for it in canon (transfiguration to modify terrain, conjuration to create breathable atmosphere, warding to establish a survivable perimeter, enchanting to make long-lasting magic to manage these things for you, etcetera). The problem is that the sheer breadth and depth of dangers one will face on such a project necessitates a highly-specialized education and training period even in the real world, and there's no way that wizards would have that sort of knowledge. Combine that with their casual disregard for most dangers due to their hardy physiology and their cultural lack of common sense...

Nta, but children do return frequently during the holdiay, it's not like they're not seen at all. All they have to tell people is that the child is attending a boarding school.

Also it's not like being a wizard means not having your nationality and stuff, we know even pure bloods are still in the system and can get their driver's license if they want to. We know that when Ron got his, he just confounded the instructor to overlook a mistake he made because he can usually cover it with magic.

Also get a driver's license is kinda useless when all wizards have access to teleportation, either personally though apparition or cheaply through floor powder.

>Why would you even want to go to the moon?
"The moon was like this awesome, romantic, mysterious thing, hanging up there in the sky where you could never reach it, no matter how much you wanted to. But you're right. Once you're actually here it's just a big dull rock. I guess I just wanted you to see it through my eyes, the way I used to."
>>
>>94742490
We know wizards probably haven't gotten to the moon yet, as the newspaper of Luna's father features an article about a woman claiming to have flown there on her broom. So the opposite must be true.

But I do think that opens the danger of existing magical creatures on the Moon that have never been encountered by Wizards before, with traits you don't know about.

One wonders how the gods were unable to stop them.

>there was enough built up worship for futa to spontaneously infect a number of mythological species as well as to outright create a new one. Imo, that says some pretty weird things about the people in that setting.
Clearly what it means is the people of the setting really liked the idea of futas and everyone was praying for them to become real. This explains why the setting works the way it does, all that faith altered the nature of reality so that anything that spreads futa will work out.

Seems like a good fit for Giovanni, who wants to exploit Pokemon generally and Mewtwo specifically to become shadow king of the world while raking in all of the bitches and money.
In the Rainbow Episode, he succeeds, discovers interdimensional travel, and then immediately sets about gathering an A-Team of all of the most successful versions of every villain in order to extend that control to the whole multiverse.
Don't know how Anime Team Rocket differs, since I didn't see much of it and IIRC Giovanni is actually the number two after Madame Boss.

honestly slavery doesn't bother me even as a burgerlander so long as we're not talking about the really messed up extremes of chattel slavery, which historically was relatively uncommon outside of muslim territory since slaves were expensive and actively harming them to the degree they couldn't work or died was counterproductive. Plus the US still has legal slavery even to this day anyway, it's literally in the constitution, so slavery for criminal acts doesn't bother me either. I was mostly asking if there was some sort of background plot to the series that perhaps the anime didn't go into.
>>
>>94742689
Yeah, it's honestly crazy how hard those fuckers powerscale. Fun fact: All that crazy shit Qilby does? According to the goddess Eliatrope and his siblings, it's mainly experience rather than being from the first generation of Eliatropes. Qilby's long memory just gives him time to experiment and practice Eliatrope techniques that the other firstborn Eliatropes just kind of, well, forget over successive reincarnations. We've seen a few other first gen Eliatrope siblings. The most you can say about them is that in Yugo's case he has shounen plot armour; yes, the Eliacube provides a definite power boost but Adamai with it got beaten down way easier by a Wakfu-eating enemy. And Qilby apparently wrested the Eliacube from Orgonax the Mechasm under his own power to begin with, hence why he tried the same thing with Lokus under the impression that the Mechasms are so alien that they view people battling them for their hearts as a test of worthiness of sorts.

And since the goddess Eliatrope is kind of a huge traumatised wimp, this along with Yugo managing to dual wield Stasis and Wakfu to finally get a legit win against Toross Mordal has interesting implications given it's all but stated Lokus soloed the Pantheon of 12. And is the reason why their divine realm is abandoned ruins throughout S4.

Yup! Whether its bad or not depends on whether the myth is serving as a social formula (i.e. Sumerian Love Poetry) in which case it is bad, or if it's an explanation or metaphor for cosmological stuff, in which case its okay for the gods but not for mortals.

>>94742630
...that's a bit of a loaded question. It is accurate (to my current understanding, which is going by off-hand recollection of stuff I haven't been actively reading for a bit) to say that there was not, to the best of our current knowledge, a clearly delineated and broadly accepted third gender like there is in say, certain Polynesian and South Asian cultures. That being said, there are plausible theories that would say otherwise, but to my knowledge it's still in the realm of theory rather than any degree of consensus.

Now, Inanna and Ishtar's cults did have specific roles and positions which explicitly breach the gender binary that was very strongly present throughout most Sumerian and Akkadian-descended cultures, most commonly in the form of people who would normally be considered men using specific dialects and modes of dress meant for women and vice versa. There is also some evidence that some of these roles were not considered men, though others explicitly were. These positions were also generally distinct from the social role of eunuchs, who were considered men.

On top of that, mythologically we do have Enki/Ea creating explicitly genderless/third-gendered beings to retrieve Inanna/Ishtar from the Underworld. But trying to attribute them as the precursors to a class of people is to my knowledge currently sketchy on evidence.

Keeping in mind that it's been three years since I was actively digging into this subject, and two years since I had easy access to JSTOR, so if any new articles came out on the subject in the last two years they'd be beyond my knowledge.

...things also get more complicated if we include accounts of men transformed into women in a ritualistic context...
>>
I think the advantage technology has over magic is the aesthetics. It's like how Araki created Stands by imagining the unseen beings who actually lift the objects a telekinetic appears to levitate without a medium. A cool looking device emitting a projectile is going to beat a wizard waving their hands to shoot it every time.

Uh...so, that depends. The Babylonian and Assyrian polities tmk never really developed permanent military navies, they'd just build them or take them from vassals who had them when they needed them. Trading ships they had plenty of, but there was never a need for a permanent navy for either, especially for the Neo-Assyrian and Babylonian polities who could just outsource it to their Phoenician subjects.

Dilmun and other Persian Gulf & Indian Ocean polities likely did have navies, but we don't have much any information on it.

The Phoenician City-States did have rather potent navies, but you're not going to hear about it most of the time.

Can't recall much about New-Kingdom Egypt's beyond that it had one to some extent, it's been a long while since I've done any reading on them.

New year, have a bit of work on the ol chain. In which an ordinary guard takes rejection very very badly.

>The Mortal From Hell.

Broken Fang of Wolves shifted gently as he watched the doorway to the warehouse he was staking out. It had taken him a few days to locate the place, as well as the standard amount of bribery and threats a 'thug' like him was expected to use. It helped that as a 'thug' he was often considered to be a blunt instrument, and as such was assumed to be out and about breaking kneecaps on someone elses innitiative. Say, his captain. Or the Sultan. People assumed so poorly of him, and while he hated it, it was often convenient.

Sweat crawled down his neck, water he could barely afford to lose. But he didn't leave, even as the sun crawled upwards, slowly baking him. He couldn't. He needed to see her again. She hadn't said where she was going, but the questions she had asked his partner were enough to give him a start. If only he hadn't waited, if only he'd chased after her instead of waiting for his shift to be over. But he'd had a clue, and he'd been determined to make it work. The Delisle Trading Company. A minor faction of the Guild who had been dealing with the Sultan for some time now.

They'd fallen out of favor recently due to circumstances that Broken Fang quite frankly didn't care about. Their caravan had been attacked and robbed, and they had showed up without the goods promised to the people of Gem - and to the Sultan. She'd mentioned undead and he'd made noises of agreement to Bear when he'd started mumbling about annointing oils, but that didn't matter. What did matter is that he had been able to find out where their storefront was.

Except she hadn't been there. He needed to see her and she hadn't been there. He'd almost murdered the clerk who clearly had no idea who he was talking about. But he'd perservered. For her. Asked another clerk, asked a guard, waited until several of them left for the day and cornered them to ask less than polite questions. He hadn't been the only one, he'd noticed. Another guard that he knew for a fact was in the pocket of a noble family had asked a few sly questions and given him a hint or two. Night of Blades probably thought that he was investigating on someones behalf as well. Fool. He was investigating her, for her.

Eventually it happened. She appeared. When he'd first seen her scorched by the sun, tired and exhausted, and on her last legs, she'd been beautiful beyond compare. But now it was so much worse. So much better. A red dress fluttered in a faint breeze, golden chains holding mirrorlike coins swaying gently as she walked, drawing the eye to a creamy expanse of skin that she showed without shame. He hair practically flowed down her back, an oranment made from feathers and a gemstone that didn't shine half as brightly as she did pinned just behind one ear. Strange footwear exposed her feet, a single slab of wood painted black with two pillars raising her off the ground, giving her just a fraction more height.

She stepped out of the warehouse - no. She flowed out, the world parting around her. A small gaggle of attendants streaming behind her that served only to highlight how special she was by how plain they were. Broken Fang let out a shaky breath and moved towards her, into her path. She looked at him. Their eyes met.
>>
>>94742809
>>94742813
"Marry me."
"No."

And then she was gone, flowing past him. He wanted to turn to watch her go, but found he couldn't move. His jaw twitched. One of the attendants gave him a look of disbelief before moving on, trying to keep pace with the beautiful woman. He stood there silently for a moment, staring at the ground, and watched as a drop of water hit the ground between his feet. Ah. Such a simple rejection, and yet, so brutal. Enough to crush his dreams.

It was fine. Really, it was fine. He couldn't have her. It was fine. Or maybe she didn't want him. The difference barely mattered. iT wAs fiNe.

All he had to do to make things right was make sure nobody else could have her either.

As per usual, i have been away from this for long enough to forget basically everything about my own damn chain.

Gamble Coin: This ability is incredibly simple. The user flips a conjured coin and verbally calls the result. If they call it successfully their nen will double overall, making them twice as powerful. If the call is unsuccessful their nen will be cut in half and half as powerful. The user can use this ability multiple times, which may either skyrocket them to absurd heights or sink them to abysmal lows, but they must wait 30 seconds between tosses. The result must be random and the user truly must truly believe that the result of the flip is not influenced by anything other than their natural luck. Any purposeful interference from the user invalidates the toss. A secret aspect of this ability is that an enemy can also call the result once the coin has begun to be flipped. Whoever calls the flip first gets the effect, whether good or bad. This ability must be used in combat and the effects will last for ten minutes, though each new application of the effect refreshes the timer for whoever was affected. It can be used once per day outside of combat but the user will be stuck with the result for the rest of the day, making that their new “baseline” for that day.

Question: how does a tank actually deal with NON-JOBBING speedsters?
>>
>>94742896
Well, I enjoy reading about history, especially classic antiquity and earlier though I've been getting into Japanese and Chinese, still into Type Moon stuff and despite myself DC and Marvel Comics, old fantasy like Tolkien and Lewis, some sci-fi here and there. Technically she became a hobo who lives in a swamp hut not bothering anyone. It's only after meeting Ozma's first reincarnation that she stops being a neet, and then when she notices their kids together have magic like the original humanity she gets the idea of trying to conquer the world. THEN when Ozma tries to take the kids and run because that's crazy, they get into a stupid fight that kills the kids in the crossfire. It's at that point, or some random point after, that she decides to just kill everything.
>>
>>94742939
Depends on how durable the tank is. The option to just outlast the speedster's stamina is there if he's impervious enough to harm. If the speedster can meaningfully hurt him though, the tank probably just loses.

Nta, but with multipliers that small it depends on their equipment.

Like in unarmed combat the speedster can't really do much against the tank(assuming the speedster punches aren't x5 as powerful because of their speed), but If you gave him a knife or gun he'd do easy work with him.

It does depend. If the man with the strength of five men is no more durable than a normal man, then the man with the speed of five men wins as long as he has any kind of force multiplier at all. A rock would do, he just has to bash him over the head before he can react. However if the man who is as strong as five men is also five times as durable then that changes things slightly. A rock would probably no longer do. A blade may still work. But if the fast man is allowed a blade why not give the strong man armor? A man who is five times as strong as anyone else could wear quite a bit of armor very comfortably. More information is needed to draw conclusions.
>>
>>94742983
>Pic
This doesn't make sense as an analogy because
1. The Cheetah is not fast enough compared to a bear to blitz it
2. The Cheetah only has superior travel speed to the bear, not reaction speed or combat speed
3. The Cheetah doesn't have the intelligence most fictional characters do to utilize that superior speed effectively even if it had it.

It's not guaranteed the Cheetah would win even if it had those things, but it would only lose once it started getting tired or slowing down since the bear would be unable to hit it.

It is. The mighty housecat, the product of ten to eleven million years of evolution, is a perfectly adapted predator to it’s native environment. Could a human being chase down a mouse on all fours? Could a human being leap several times his height to scale a sheer ledge? Could a human being duck and weave around a striking viper, pinning the serpent by it’s head? NO! The housecat is strong! It’s from Baki the Grappler

Salem with the staff has already won. She can create a giant rock, let it fall on a major human settlement and repeat until humanity is almost wiped out, then round up survivors with her Grimm army to find the maidens and open the vaults. Don't want to do rocks? Get a world map, use Grimm as spotters and tell the staff to create a fuckton of fire at the coordinates you point at to burn all of humanity or tell it to create an even bigger whale and respawn it every time it gets kills.

No, never.
It's ridiculous how much of a blatant plot device he is, to the point he punished Zeref for ideating Eclipse but never does anything to the timetravellers who used it aand esurrected people in this way, just like he never does anything to those creating the tower of heaven, a resurrection tool, nor Franmalth, who absorbs the soul of the dead, nor Viernes, who resurrect the dead, nor to black Faris or Ignia, who resurrected the dead, nor in Neinheart's case, whose power is resurrection of the dead, nor in all the other cases it would make massively more sense to punish people, nor did he ever think that making Zeref immortal but in no way hampering his projects he only gave him more time to win.

Here's another one of these things.

Skill Store (Specialist): Your ability allows you to summon a video-game-esque shop menu which lists various Hatsu skills. These skills range from decent to absurdly powerful, with the most powerful skills being abilities normally too powerful to be a hatsu ability without many dangerous, possibly suicidal conditions. These skills can be purchased, but rather than money the skills’ costs are far more personal. A mediocre skill might cost a very happy memory or your positive luck for the next month, a high tier skill could cost your arm or your hearing, maybe even some of your intelligence. The truly powerful skills take things that are incredibly precious. You may have to trade your ability to feel anything both physical and emotional, your wife, your soul, or even your entire personality (aka everything that makes you “you”). The greater the cost, the greater the skill. The things that are sold don't normally come back, but should you get them back the skills you gained will disappear. The list of skills is randomized every day, but you can “lock’ one skill at a time so that the locked skill won't be randomized until you either buy it or unlock it.

Honestly I just kinda panicked when I saw the undead jump almost finished, intended to speedrun everything, and was completely winging it because I'd already written pretty much everything I could think of related to most of them in other jumps. So this was more of a writing prompt for myself to figure out how to justify being dead.

>I'm guessing you won't go for the Embrace Oblivion scenario in Despondent Undead, right?
Nope. Being a beeg Excrucian is Lilith's thing, not mine. It IS going to be a weird experience all round anyway, since at this point in my chain I've already met Grand Maw in ExWoD. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's how I'm going to fluff the madness drawback. Just the sheer dissonance between everyone else being terrified of Oblivion and me insisting it (or at least, the tutelary spirit born from the Neverborn's nightmares oevrseeing it if 3e is to be believed) is actually a friendly old grandma even as I'm dipping my hand in utter annihilation and asking the Neverborn if they met those lesser imposters that were so cruel to Grandma Void.

...well, that and a very battered and (accidentally) redeemed(?) Engine of Extinction now being stuck in the Shard with me. Assuming we don't immediately go back to killing each other as the jump starts.

Also probably ask Gorol's ghost why he's trying to turn into a kaiju. Possibly also make fun of him for adding an extra "o" to his name.

>>
>>94744626
That one is in many ways the most difficult clause if you're strict about it
because of how nebulous it is.

That being said I actually think you'd have a not insignificant number chainfail from suicide. Go into a new world with no support structure and without having bought perks for your mental fortitude and you could potentially end up very isolated and a good chunk of anons struggle with depression already.
>>
>>94744752
In most fantasy and sci-fi settings, the worldbuilding implications are usually enough to guarantee adventures outside the main plot. Mundane settings though aren't as conducive to it unless you act like a psychopath and go around looking for people's problems to involve yourself in.

>>94744772
True, depending on your jumps and powers it changes a lot. A fantasy world is easy to up and move in. But modern worlds are not. There are only so many times you can see the same landmarks, but if you do not have good powers you lack the money to travel. You would either need to go full hobo, which your in jump family wouldn't want or go get a boring job to earn money for a few vacation. I doubt watching people file their taxes is interesting to most benefactors.

the vast majority of popular vtuber are known to be attractive irl, mostly you can tell from how it impacts their confidence, but the majority also didn't start as Vtubers but had pre-existing careers where their looks played a role, like a lot are just former streamers/youtubers, but some were actual musicians and idols and the like.
>>
>>94744806
Not necessarily. First of all, the entertainment clause is still in effect for that jump; there's no "everything you do here is automatically entertaining" condition. A jump just relating to something doesn't inherently mean you can just breeze through it without trying to shake things up for entertainment. Also, entertainment varies. Like, I'm entertained by a wide variety of things, but I want different things at different times. I don't want all my beverages to taste like Dr. Pepper, I can find a book on history entertaining but don't exclusively consume historical fiction, I don't want everything to be cyberpunk, etc. Presumably Jump-Chan is the same way. She can be entertained by almost anything for awhile but will eventually want you to change the formula.
>>
>>94744626
Look we all know the entertainment clause was just to keep people from hiding in their warehouse. As long as you're actually interacting with the jump and not just being a hyper paranoid shut in its fine.
>>
>>94744688
I believe there is either an item or companion in Luigi's mansion 3 that gives you a bunch of fans that go apeshit if you ever get captured.
>>
>>94744806
False! Jump-Chan is canonically only interested in events where there exists a risk of death.

>The same all powerful being that wants there to be a modicum of risk in the whole thing. Otherwise you just end up with
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1O8fVG8_pk#t=76
>If it was a surefire thing from that point onwards death is only a temporary setback while your body reforms, that's hardly entertaining since there's no condition where you actually have a chance of biting it.
–Quicksilver, 2015

So if you jump something like 9-5 where there wouldn't normally be a risk of death, you better find some way to make it happen.
>>
>>94744626
>Chainbutt benefactor tries forcing their fetish on you
>said it was optional
>chainfails you for standing strong and not giving in
>>
You lot of hard-liners about the entertainment clause need to remember that the SoL manga industry is still going ridiculously strong. It's not supposed to be about being entertaining every second of every day. "Jump-chan" isn't going to be staring at you that whole time anyways.

You've got to think about it like a season of anime. You see ten to twenty episodes of the fun stuff and skip all those days where nothing unusual happened. Sometimes it could even just be a single feature length film, which would be entertaining enough.

Every time this argument comes up you people do your best to argue it from the stupidest angles I've ever seen.
>>

It's more likely that we're in a simulation and that we'd have to entertain the Jump-Chan-like overseers who want to see characters explore fictional worlds than that one or two of us are secretly Planeswalkers in real life and would have the capacity to engage in a chain without a benefactor.

I mean, I wasn't sure if I should mention shit like the Glorious Vault or Twin Peaks, since that anon DID say "low-tier people". While the Outsider and Q were shown to be relatively powerful for their settings, they also jobbed a lot.

I hate them because it makes everything pointless as they will always win. Like when a story starts with the MC narrating from the future.

Central 46 is easy. All you gotta do is run into Seireitei and start a massacre in the noble district while taking care not to get hit by their broken hereditary zanpakuto. The royal palace is more difficult since getting there is a pain and squad zero can actually fight.

The supposed """intended""" experience never really connected with what it actually was, even at the outset.

But, they were still bitching about Overlord and DBZ power levels.
>>
>>94745090
>>94745043
It's dumb but I see the logic behind it. That's how those settings generally work. The idea was the strongest characters in the setting will remain as such even with you setting foot there, like it was an episode of the source material introducing a new character.
>>
>>94744966
I kind of figured such a being was one with awful taste, who enjoys watching overpowered dipshits fuck up in mediocre settings and get numerous waifus. You know, the sort of being who'd want to see the stuff people post about here? Basically your average self-insert fanfic enjoyer or isekai fan, but with immense godlike powers. So they just make it happen and watch the fireworks.

Just this transcendental being who enjoys the slop.

Tje right choice is simply to ally wwith Muramasa, since Koga hate the shinigami for having framed him, and use him to autowin, seriously the only reason Muramasa lost is that Koga betrayed him, and he betrayed the other zanpakuto, if theey had to fight him, Ryujin jakka, Unohana's, Shunsui's, Ukitake's, Tobiume and Haineko at once they really had no chances.

With the playthrough now complete (and two more speedruns of it done to get the true ending), I've written a fair number of things as of late. My most RECENT thing would probably be:
>Shaped Like A Waifu [???]
>CPU’s are beings that are born from the Share energy of the world. They are not born like normal creatures but rather appear fully formed. So it was with Uzume, so it was with Uranus, and so it was with the current four CPUs. With such a simple principle, it shouldn’t be too hard to replicate that feat, no? Kurome certainly had little trouble creating clones of those she had memories of. Like her, you too can create fully autonomous clones of other people. How accurate they are will depend on just how well you know the copied target, but all it takes is some Shares, or Negative Energy, and out comes a pawn! They wouldn’t be True CPUs, not without a lot of Shares and far more care in their creation, but they aren’t a half bad copy either. Pump enough power into ‘em and you might even get a titan sized one!

My first impression upon walking into the barracks was that of black leather, crimson reds, charcoal greys, and lots of pale skin. Fourteen women, appearing in age from late teens to mid-thirties, stood in a line along one side of the room. A few were standing at attention, a couple more at what could loosely be called parade rest, while the rest more or less just loitered in the vicinity of the line. Even after one of the older women called “Commander on deck!” in a clarion voice.

For a long moment I just took in my charges. They represented nearly all of the Iron Blood Shipgirls who had volunteered, or been reassigned, to Azur Lane to assist in defeating the Sirens. Commander Beckett had mentioned one additional member being quarantined for the moment. Which seemed in keeping with the lot I had on hand. Their uniforms only matched in the loosest sense of the word by sharing a similar color scheme. Some of them were showing entirely more skin than seemed practical or comfortable. And a majority of them were looking back at me with various degrees of defiance in their eyes.

/Great./ I thought to myself. /I’ve got the Goonies of the Azur Lane military./

Gonna be re-watching Bleach for the first time in a decade since I saw it's on Disney+, probably going to hold off on making a build till Aizen gets Getsuga'd since that's about where I got to when I was younger but I do know that i'll be going all in on a Yoruichi/Hakuda focused build when I get to that point. Anyway which of the Bleach jumps do you prefer? Who's best girl Rukia or Yoruichi? Wasn't there a jump based on a fanfic/quest? Was it any good?

Val's, due to having a lot of options.

And Orihime. Or for the Quincy Meninas.
>>
>>94745462
>Anyway which of the Bleach jumps do you prefer?
I definitely prefer the old one, due to how much bullshit you can get up to with the freeform item import and power supplement. Nothing quite like rocking up as a fullbringer whose power is a magical girl transformation that makes me into a knockoff Quincy, you know?

I think Blade should have finished his Bleach jump and he underestemated it, but the one I regularly use is Val's.

Both good.
>Wasn't there a jump based on a fanfic/quest? Was it any good?
There was, but it isn't really good, the quest is still ongoing, wich means that jump miss aa lot of things, because of how outdated it is, like the vasto lorde being incarnation of concepts, or Pernida being the hidden mastermind..

Without the perk? Sure, as long as you have similar levels of superscience. Do note that in Lord of Light, demigod is just a position in society, so all the perk is saying is that if you're willing to use your tech savvy to support the regime, the regime will use the body consciousness transfer tech to keep you around, and you'll probably end up as understudy for the Yama position if anything should happen to the guy. (Which canonically does - he ends up joining Sam's (the protagonist's) rebellion and becomes an enemy of the state for a bit.) Being a demigod doesn't make you stronger or anything. (Though a lot of the tech Yama makes and that that perk would let you make is stuff to amplify or focus psychic powers.)
>>
>>94745553
Im pretty sure the Doctor has neither the capability nor a reason to completely ruin a dimensional traveler's ability to comprehend alien tech with a swish of his sonic screwdriver.
>>
>>94745567
Nta but I almost never focus on power levels also because they're completely BS, powerscaling in Bleach makes no sense since Ichigo with his shikai oneshotted Kenpachi, and what people call powerscaling is in no way connected to the manga, nobody in OP is FTL, nobody in Naruto is a planet buster, and nobody in Bleach is capable of destroying dimensions just because they can affect them.
>>
>>94745567
I mean, I would. I prefer the lower levels of Bleach, too. Granted, I probably wouldn't be a fan of it arbitrarily limiting your potential by fiat, but I would absolutely prefer and appreciate a jump where you can just be a Some Dude-level shinigami or quincy. And if you ever become stronger, it's due to centuries of effort or shit from outside the jump.

>The finest weapon to wield against celestial objects are other celestial objects. Wiping out mankind in full is against your people's current interests, but you have created another of your kind's alpha strike. A great comet that can be used to ferry an entire species across worlds, paired with hundreds of modified asteroids. Crashing the comet into your modified asteroids will allow the passengers to hide inside them as they are launched at a planet of your choice, impacting the surface with enough force to simultaneously be an extinction event and terraform the environment. Various settings in the comet can be used to alter the desired changes, modifying the impact sites to achieve different results, but for obvious reasons it is quite difficult to not kill everything living on your target. This entire assembly can also fly across interstellar distances but has no stealth ability beyond hiding amidst space debris.
>>
>>94745617

>>
>>94745608
An excellent rebutal, but for the sake of the story I'm making it so that they spawn in appropriately bandit-like location and then have to make their way to her. Like under bridges.

This does mean that if no traveling occurs, they'll group up in sufficient numbers to actually invade the city in an attempt to get at her, as seen in the brief vacation snippet, but honestly that's fine too.
>>
>>94745616
The thread isn't a monolith. We have people who go full omnipotence and people who only like low powered jumps. We have at least one guy desperate for wuxia because he hates the powerlevels of all our xianxia jumps. Real mixed bag here. You can probably find at least one or two anons who share any of your tastes as long as you've got the balls to bring it up and thick enough skin to ignore the trolls.
>>
What are the best jumps for starting out as a superhero? How about a supervillain? Looking for setups one could use as a basis for a chain that give you most of what you'd need to establish yourself in any subsequent jump as a fun, larger than life figure either way.
>>
>>94745567
I mean, part of the value of a low powered Bleach jump would be the option to start in the past as a normal Soul Reaper and have some adventures that don’t have anything to do with canon.
>>
>>94745584
Eh alright that'd be interesting. I was thinking more of having Jumper just be Yamas own studen who ends up defecting along with Yama but I was just thinking a bit of how to be able to do any of the aspect/attribute development as a drop in given it sorta seemed you'd have to at least be a demigod to start down it.
>>
>>94745647
I tend to like low to mid powered jumps and I don't really know how to prevent myself from becoming a broken powerfuck monster without only using perks I pick up in each jump for its duration, unless absolutely necessary as a last resort.
>>
>>94745647
Nta, I'm pretty versatile, the thing I like the most is engaging with the setting, so I can go to powerful jumps to have great powers in a stong context and can go to a low power jump to have middling power in that context yes I'm a /cyoag/ reject, who mostly ignores the very premise of this hobby.
>>
>>94745647
I wasn't doubting that. But it's rare to hear from the vacation jumpers.

>>94745659
Who said anything about putting it in the past? The point wasn't to get away from canon. Just to stop it from going past ghostbuster levels.
>>
>>94745654
I do Danny Phantom, but that might be because my autism says it is a great power package. The basic ghost powers are just that good in most settings and you can buy better ones. I normally pick up enchanting to make my own ghostly artifacts.
You do not need to stay in the main town and can just go play superhero somewhere else. The only reason so many ghosts are there is because that is where the portal is.
>>
>>94745684
>Who said anything about putting it in the past? The point wasn't to get away from canon. Just to stop it from going past ghostbuster levels.
Well, I was presuming that such a jump would offer the option to start at a point in time other then the main plotlines.
>>
>>94745616
>>94745567
Only problem is you have to figure out some way to make that make sense. You'd either need some sort of fiat/plot armor toggle or else massive worldbuilding alterations to prevent the Soul Society Arc and its consequences from happening. The easiest solution would be to either alter the jump's duration or make you start earlier than the plot. Or honestly, I would probably make a mandatory toggle that sort of lets you free-formly choose a reason for it to not exceed X power-level, as long as it doesn't.
>>
>>94745694
Those powers are definitely broken. I have always liked the idea of jumping somewhere with a very specific main setting and just fucking off to the opposite end of the world for no real reason.

I mean just going with the Movie version would be the best for that, it ends way before any massive escalation happens (Around the grand fisher/the earliest part of the Rukia retrieval arc when Renji & Byakuya come back for her)and it's unlikely to get a sequel since it's been 7 years since it came out at this point.
>>
>>94745695
That's a bad presumption.

>>94745703
Does it have to make sense? Can't it just be a decade of Ichigo being a ghostbusting duo with Rukia and eventually building a team of spiritualist power rangers?
>mandatory toggle
Oh yeah. People are going to take that well.
>>
>>94745684
>But it's rare to hear from the vacation jumpers.
Because most of the time discussion revolves around the upper ceiling. Lots of the jumps that would interest me as a vacation jumper don't fall into what is regularly discussed, including jumps from other communities by jumpmakers who frequently dabble in jumps far removed from that ceiling.
>>
For me it's all about trying to manage the power curve. I want to be just strong enough to be relevant and achieve my goals in interacting with the setting, not so strong that I trivialize everything. Jump order is critical.

Because there are far more interesting jumps than regular cyoa, especially for franchises, wich is what I was searching at the time, so I post disconnected builds saying my plans or discuss here about other things, and using an extreme amount of houserules I already mentioned sometime in the thread, like being forced to take powerloss drawback, or being forbidden from changing the story before the start of the jump, the reason I was unable to take imagine breaker, or being forbidden from paying to import/create/export companions, but having to take every sapient OC companion not purely evil.

>What are the best jumps for starting out as a superhero?
I'd definitely suggest The Simpsons Game. The jump only lasts a single week, and you can get an HP/MP system, a basic combat perk, and a summonable superhero costume

It was just a normal thing in the webcomic, though, because her dress actually covered her there.

The basic ghost powers are broken by most accounts. Flight, invisibility, intangibly, possession (people, dreams and videogames) and the basic super strength and durability make you unstoppable in a lot of places. Then you go into the energy attacks and so on and it just snowballs. I think they are a great set for when you want to travel a lot and not be tied down. You can always fly away.

Well said. I'd probably mostly use them to evoke hauntings and scare the shit out of people for fun. I'd probably succumb to peeping on women but I'd never touch them like that. Hey PyschoAnon any chance you'd be up to making jumps on a pair of christian ttrpgs? Christian in the sense of how Anime uses Christianity in anycase. The first is the Cain ttrpg by the guy who made Lancer and the second is Fallen Angel by the guy who made Friendship, Effort, Victory! Link to the later here - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1knPvyEqwq6cg_KAXHoPcokfaTvS9Cy17iz47rxg8Mhg/edit?usp=sharing The first is basically JJK but christian while the later is basically Bleach but christian.

Where could you get the ability to store magic effects in your body?

Scale: Apocalypse [-2000 CP)
Maximum height: immeasurable. You are more like a force of nature than a living being. You can think of yourself as equal to the creations of Primacron: the planet-eater Unicron or the unstoppable Tornedron. You are the size of a planet, and unlike other scale options, this comes with a variety of godlike abilities.

There is no known precedent for Primacron creating an organic weapon on this scale, but if you choose that composition, perhaps you are an amorphous living planet akin to Torkulon. With potent psychic powers and the ability to mold your mass like clay or assimilate living beings into your potent hive mind.

As a machine, you are a transforming planet much like Unicron. You can freely manipulate matter, such as reformatting living beings into your minions or creating weapons and vehicles from your own mass. You can infuse others with your power or telepathically influence them from galaxies away. The inside of your body houses a deadly immune system to take care of those who try to escape your stomach.

As an energy being, you are an energy cloud akin to Tornedron. Your abilities are far more focused on manipulating energy than physical matter. As a cloud of sentient energy, you can freely alter your physical appearance, or even split into as many separate bodies as you please, all fully under your control. You can drain all the energy from a sun or planet in a matter of seconds, including the life energy of any organisms living on the planet. In the event you regret your actions, you also possess the ability to return all of your absorbed energy to its original source.
>>
>>94746136
>The style that doesn’t exist iirc has methods of turning that down, which are kind of necessary to get anything done.
You can also learn to do that with Born to Rule Among Cloaks and Daggers. And yeah, being at full blast is enough of a problem, activating the Shintai and going up to Appearance 10 would make you one of the 1,001 dooms.

I know this is for something that isn't complete yet and I should probably save my question but I am a dumb ass so... If you become a living planet can you import properties on to your body instead of having them appear elsewhere in a jump?

People seem to lose nen skills fairly quickly if they aren't reguarly training it. You likely can't just learn an abiltiy then keep it in reserve forever, there an ongoing mantiance cost to having many disconected abilties.
>Meruem's also didn't have a limit
Meruem isn't a Specialist weirdly. Though Nen doesn't disapear when a person dies, what Meruem does as an Emiter can make sense within the system since he's effectively taking their post-mortem aura for himself.

I don’t actually know what her appearance score is. She’s nominally an Endings half caste, though iirc half castes don’t get measured that way, so she definitely doesn’t have A5. I might have given her that if she was Serenity, but she’s not so that leaves 3 or 4. A4 is possible, but unlikely. So A3 probably is where she’s at unless I look up the girl she’s based on and it turns out she’s very fashion focused. Which I don’t think is the case.

Unrelated, but given that Messier is the daughter of Venus and has the perk to be the god of martial arts, I should work a joke in there about being the god of marital arts.

Makes sense. In that case, as you depicted, your interactions with Yunno should all feature her struggling to focus on what she wanted instead of how hot you are.

>Unrelated, but given that Messier is the daughter of Venus and has the perk to be the god of martial arts, I should work a joke in there about being the god of marital arts.
Be careful, make the joke too often and comedy rules will force Exalted Spirits to be your next jump and make you the actual god of marital arts.

The machine is designed to sustain your biological needs indefinitely. Would you live in the Jumpchain Matrix?

Since nobody mentioned her yet, there's an invisible waifu in Interviews with Monster Girls. She might've inspired the reveal for the girl in MHA since the anime run shows the interviewer dude having a sort of premonition that the waifu's a qt redhead. >Does that merit work specifically on those A4 or lower, or is it based on mine? Because if I’m restraining myself then it probably isn’t as effective? That is to say, she can at least put up some argument.
It’s based on you. The way Appearance works in Social Combat is that differences in Appearance scores give bonuses and penalties based on the difference, capped at +/-3. The first level of Enchanting Features increases the cap to +/-4, and the second level to +/-6, so if you’re at Appearance 7 and Yunno’s got Appearance 3 she would lose 4 dice, and with the Shintai on she’d lose 6. Restraining yourself would make the debuff less effective, but in my opinion you should still get the bonus to defense.

It’s a bit more complex then that, but the short version is if Yunno has the relevant stats maxed and you’re going all out she gets 1 die for the Parry option and 4 for Dodge. You meanwhile would have at least 17 dice, and the Errata says “Social attacks cost one additional point of Willpower to resist for every three full successes above the target’s MDV”, so even if Yunno spends Willpower to resist it’s going to be tough. Fortunately for Yunno, she only have to spend the Willpower once per scene, but that means if she spends too much time around you, you can wear her down until she’s out of Willpower and you can make her do whatever you want.

Well, 90's anime beings like Kami Tenchi and the Lord of Nightmares from Slayers are implicitly, unironically described as being omnipotent. Aura giving a degree of toon physics would actually be really useful, and given the animation one could argue it’s canon.
>>
>>94748489
That would be absolutely great, honestly. I was really hoping Sufokia would get more focus in S4 if S3 was the designated not!X-Men vs Brotherhood of Evil Mutants arc given they were a class in the game and the idea of militant atheists wielding Stasis weapons seems like it should be a bigger deal than it is. Especially given that apparently one of the better ways to counter Stasis-based entities is to hit them with more Stasis instead of Wakfu (that and Iop's hands).

Also it's hilarious/tragic that the developers are extremely cavalier about ending civilisation to justify releasing a new game, because based on the trailer for the newest one apparently Toross' final words were right and Yugo is doomed at some point in the future (not sure if the webcomic is out yet or not) to accidentally cause a civilisation-levelling disaster while fighting Lokus.
>>
>>94748364
So with one die of parry, the most she can get is two successes. A bunch of test rolling shows me with 17 dice gets about six successes on average. So in theory she will always need to spend two willpower on saying no to me. On a dodge, two and a half seems to be average, so usually two but occasionally one.

It basically doesn't matter what she chooses, because the average success between one die and four against seventeen is small enough to still need to spend two willpower most of the time. So basically she lasts about five minutes.

While holding back she has better odds, obviously.

Also, this assumes Yunno has a 3 dot specialty that applies. If not, she gets 1 die for the Parry option when you’re not in the Shintai and at Appearance 7. If her Willpower and Integrity aren’t up to par either, she’s in trouble.

>So basically she lasts about five minutes.
Well as I said, Yunno only has to spend Willpower once per scene to resist, any further attacks won’t cost her Willpower to resist. She’ll have to be careful about sticking around for too long though.
