The Heavens Reach spaceships are already weirdly slow, so being weirdly small seems fitting.

Kind of hutting mcu to build up my own spaceship building company. Gonna put a shipyard out in the asteroid belt and lease mining rigs out to people who want to take a chance at their own space startup.of course all the refining and parts will be through my space station/shipyard and supplies will probably be handled by me too but thats secondary.

Im thinking of charging a fee to act as backup in the event of trouble. Kind of an insurance fee deal. But if you dont pay for that I will still come bail your ass out but charge a retrieval fee

Working on the write up of jump one for a new chain. All that's really going on at the moment is slice of life gym shenanigans and assassins training.

Jumper had a ten season run as a lone Rider trying to bring Justice back to a universe that's fallen to evil. It was a very cheesy and low budget time and I'm not quite sure if it actually happened, if it was just me doing a TV Show, or if it was both at the same time. Chroma Squad is weird.

Now he's retired to a life of a delivery driver on a world full of techno-organic robots. He's unfortunately going to get dragged into a battle royale over a bunch of transformation trinkets after his Rider Belt gets mistaken for being a Biometal. Fighting all of the Megamen IS a pretty good way to pick up some new moves though.

Once that's done, I'll be heading to Buso Renkin. I sadly know nothing about the setting, but adding the Evolution Kakagune power to my Belt will be a pretty big upgrade.

If we buy multiple powers in the DC collab jump do we need to purchase a new power source each time or can we just link it to one we bought already?

The most bizarre part of the Heaven's Reach ship situation is how Stellar Intelligences (and presumably, the Incarnae fleets) immediately jump from sea ship-sized spaceships slower than your mom's Toyota to fucking Dyson Spheres, sentient warpgates and motherfucking god-constellations who couldn't be beaten without cracking the laws of the universe and turn into undead black holes when they die.

We can only assume Holden was masturbating himself blind at what E5 Solar Ride Charms look like when applied to spaceships.

Remember: If you're in the market for cheap foreign labour, Nick Fury has had AN ENTIRE GODDAMN POPULATION OF SKRULL REFUGEES sitting on Earth since the year 1995, doing nothing except being his eyes to the ground, that are getting increasingly frustrated because Fury insists they HAVE to stay hidden on Earth despite being a spacefaring species, despite the Guardians of the Galaxy bumping into a habitable planet COMPLETELY unaffected by the Kree empire's expansion, and despite the Asgardians integrating SEAMLESSLY into Norwegian society by turning into a tourist trap after Ragnarok.

It's not even completely fair to blame all this on Carol Danvers never coming back to Earth after killing the Supreme Intelligence because she was insecure about being blamed for genocide by a little girl she made decades ago, this is frankly 80% on Nick for being unable to come up with any better solution for the spacefaring species lightyears ahead of 90s era humanity than hide from an interstellar empire who he has no intelligence about other than the Agents of SHIELD occasionally running into what were retconned into remnants of a once-great empire. Despite Thor, prince of widely feared interstellar power and also retroactive ACTUAL DEIFIC POPULATION Asgard, occasionally showing up Earth.

>We can only assume Holden was masturbating himself blind at what E5 Solar Ride Charms look like when applied to spaceships.
I mean I tried writing an Essence 3 charm for things like that.
>Celestial Piloting Mastery
>In the hands of a Solar pilot, a plane and a spaceship are one and the same. While this charm is in effect on an aircraft, it will be rendered airtight, it will provide gravity within its interior, its engines will still provide propulsion despite a lack of atmosphere, and its top speed will be multiplied by (Essence X 100) while outside a planet’s atmosphere. The air within the vehicle will be continually be refreshed, and the airtightness can withstand minor breaches – opening a door will not interfere with the air supply, but the vehicle being blown to pieces will. The gravity can be disabled, for those who wish to experience zero-g. At Essence 5, the speed boost becomes (Essence X 1000). This speed boost is calculated after all other factors, so using this charm alongside Essence-Driven Engine Technique and Sunfire Supercharger Method would see the boosts of the latter two added to the base speed of the vehicle before the multiplier of Celestial Piloting Mastery is factored in. Note that this charm does not give engines that require an atmosphere to operate the ability to function in space, Essence-Driven Engine Technique will be required for that. When this charm’s duration expires, the effects will linger for one scene longer and can be reactivated at a cost of 4 motes and no willpower, the character will become aware that the charm’s time is almost up when this happens. While this charm refers to aircraft, it will work on any vehicle, but as neither it nor its prerequisite will help with getting a car or boat into space, special modifications or different charms will be required.

Nah the civilians survived Ragnarok, and then some more survived the Snap, and after that they brought back everyone killed by the Snap which apparently included enough military Asgardians to form an army. And after that they're all basically glorified bums on Norway running a theme park about their glory days because apparently Odin dying, Thor abdicating to be a dumb fratbro making the rest of the Guardians look bad and Valkyrie the ex-drunk ex-slaver for the Grandmaster becoming de facto king literally through nepotism with Thor who she met by tazing him, the Asgardian people have apparently just kind of given up on reclaiming their old glories.

And yet they're STILL less pathetic than the Skrulls, purely because it turns out they don't actually need the magitech hub thingy to travel between planets/realities/the MCU is kind of vague on the exact nature of the Nine Realms desu. The Stormbreaker can still call the Bifrost, however their interstellar ships work they can apparently just build more of them, it's been a while so I'm not sure how much I'm misremembering but I SWEAR at one point Valkyrie summons the Bifrost just by stacking some fucking shields in a pile and Heimdell definitely managed to call it himself by asking the Allfathers nicely to rescue Thor from Thanos at the start of Infinity War-and Valkyrie DOES demonstrate the ability to use the Bifrost like a Star Trek tractor beam in The Marvels so I guess the hub was just there as an amplifier?? Basically the only thing stopping Asgard from establishing itself as an interstellar power again purely by using their potentially world-destroying telefrag ray is lack of motivation.

...actually yeah you should recruit some Asgardians too since they're doing shit all. I mean, Fury did in the Marvels

The barebones for what I'm going for is a powerset where Jumper can summon mundane materials, dudes, and stuff to about the point of advancement of our 21st-century Earth. So absolute dogshit in a straight fight against supers, but mildly more dangerous given some time to build. I was thinking of either country or continent level to represent the range and volume of stuff he could bring up. On top of that as a second power I don't know if I should invest in a kind of cosmic force to give him an edge against people with superpowers, basically a man with gun shitposting but more subdued as a field he propagates amongst himself and his dudes that give them a chance to actually win and hurt the people they are shooting at when they'd otherwise get dumpstered. The second one I'm not sure how far up to put it.

>Once that's done, I'll be heading to Buso Renkin. I sadly know nothing about the setting,
Really the only thing you need to know is SCIENCE is the meta (as always), pic related is Papillion. Using the power of science he manages to turn himself into a human homunculi (though this isn't -that- difficult) without feeling the need to eat humans, steal a Buso Renkin of his own, and ultimately saves the protagonist and antagonist by creating the White Kakugane in a fraction of the time it took the original creator (who took 100 years and multiple copies of her cloned brain).

At the end of the series he is functionally immortal, stronger than nearly everyone, and isn't hunted down by the Alchemists because he helped them save the world.
>>
>>94749349
I was building to be one of the asgardians in mcu 1, with the allfather blessing and everything.

Honestly it kinda sounds a bit like the bifrost was a travel technology first that was weaponized later to me via the big platform thing. Neat.
>>
>>94749391

On the way home from work I was thinking about a new jumper waking up with all the extra memories of a new life. Like, how big of a mind fuck would it be suddenly waking up as a 15 year old with 40 years of memories? Which set takes dominance for the time in the jump? I was just imagining a guy upset because his beard is gone and he might be sent back to school and teen drama
>>
>>94749415
Iirc default is you are still you but your origin effects you slightly while in jump.
>>
>>94749415
According to The Quicksilver, memories from begore the jump are equally influential as those from your origin, i.e. each is 50% meaningful.
>>
>>94749415
Pokemon Trainer has the memories be a bit suppressed. Like, they're there, but your new memories are more important.

This is something I'm wondering for when I eventually get the HxH jump done and use it in my chain.

I was gonna be a member of the Kurta clan and basically use Kamui as an ability in exchange for my sight, so the conditions are "in exchange for this really powerful ability I have to use the Kurta eyes" and "when I use the Kurta eyes the eyes slowly go blind." The "loophole" in these conditions is that neither specify they have to be MY Kurta eyes, so I would collect Kurta eyes with Kurapika under the pretense of helping them but in reality I'm stealing eyes to transfer to my head as I go blind like Obito.

I think there should be some other condition because even with the rules laid out Kamui is still more OP than any Hatsu except Meruem's (or Nanika's thing if that counts). What would make for a good third condition on this?
>>
>Can create matter from thin air, or transmute it from one form to another
>Can read minds and see into people's hearts

I can see that causing a lot of problems. Imagine being an adult and then having your teenage social life affected because everyone around you is too young.

Long ago, alchemy split into two factions while searching for immortality and the philosopher's stone. One side made the homunculi, a race of monsters that eat people and are exceptionally hard to kill, including turning themselves into these creatures. The other side created 'buso renkin' or Kakugane, a type of alchemical tool that takes forms based on a person's soul. They formed the Alchemical Warriors and dedicate themselves to slaying the homunculi. The series starts when a dude gets killed by a homunculus, has his heart replaced with a Kakugane, and goes on to become one of these warriors and fights against homunculi including the butterfly dude I posted.
After finally defeating LXE, an organization of human homunculi, it is their leader is a former Alchemical Warrior who became a 'Victor', a third type of being, after being implanted with an experimental Black Kakugane. This makes him stronger than homunculi and alchemical warriors, and he has a constantly life drain in a huge AoE around him. The protagonist is also turning into a Victor as his Kakugane is a black one as well, so he ends up fighting the first Victor on the moon away from humans for days while Papillion creates more White Kakuganes, to restore them to normal.

The Ninja's ability leaves him entirely defenseless in the real world and would shut off if he's not lying down whereas Kamui can make you invulnerable anywhere, the portal guy's power can't forcibly suck people in as effectively as Kamui and to go somewhere he has to have been there before, whereas Kamui lets you go anywhere you want instantly with no conditiins. That's not even getting into the left Kamui, which can straight up snipe someone's head off so long as they're in visual range of you.

In Fable 3, the protagonist can unlock the ability to "combine" spells. Is this something other Will users are likely capable of learning, or is there probably something special about the gauntlets that enable the user to simultaneously wield two spells at once?

Right, but he can just lay down somewhere safe

Knovs portals can be moved pretty easily. The dude literally uses portal cuts as an assassination move. I guess it IS technically less versatile than having to just touch someone, but being able to send parts of people away is useful

Opportunity cost. In most systems of magic, healing is a lot easier than resurrection, so with the time and other resources you spend returning one person to life, you can usually save many times more of the dying. Of course, it depends on the specific magic system, but I've never encountered one where resurrection isn't significantly more costly than healing. Under the assumption the only powers you have do in fact follow this trend, the only reason to resurrect someone when you could heal several times more would be if they're someone who has the potential to save many lives of their own, such as another healer or a saint-like character.

Jumper, who does not have control of what jump he goes to, is being sent to a series of the most horrendously powerful jumps I can find. Afterwards he's going to be sent to Evangelion and watch as his powers fail him and his companions are absorbed into the Third Impact or something.

In other words, I've gotten bored with my chain and have come up with a method to spice things up and hand the Jumper a big fat L.
>>
>>94749571
Knuckle's Hatsu makes him specifically not take damage from the specific people he uses his Hatsu on, has a very finite range limit, has a flat aura cost to activate, and stops working if the enemy manages to return the aura Knuckles lent them
>>
>>94749569
>Kamui doesn't make you functionally invincible
Konan's only way to get Obito was to set up a trap where he was surrounded by nonstop paper bomb explosions for ten minutes. If you don't catch the Kamui user off guard or put them in a position where they can't shut Kamui off until it turns off entirely, you will not hit them. The only other way would be hitting them so fast they don't even have the ability to react to your speed.

The other ways to deal with him would be having a on-contact defense, being able to move fast enough to punch him while he's tangible and on the attack, or just stabbing him when he's not paying attention.

NTA but this moth waifu is a yandere obsessed with a specific man, and has been trapping him in a timeloop for who knows how long. Whenever the man grows up to a certain age he'll visit his old family shed due to reasons/destiny, where she's waiting. She will proceed to rape him, de-age him back to being like 8-10 years old, and drop him off back in the past where he'll endlessly repeat the cycle of timeloop rape.

It's unclear how long this has been going on or if time is even progressing, but she did somehow have a daughter at one point in the endless cycles and they raped the victim together.
>>
>>94749548
Pretty sure that's a gauntlet thing, since it's literally just him using two different gauntlets at once. Like, he has the worst selection of spells out of all the Heroes, and because they're tied to the gloves has to commit to having a few of them equipped at once instead of being able to cast any of his spells at will, but also because of that he can technically equip two at once and cast both at the same time. The closest to a normal Will user casting two spells at once was Garth during the prison break section casting Blades in a unique defensive formation around himself while then firing off fireballs at some ships, but it wasn't the same as imbuing one spell with the effect of the other.

Layers of White is a manga about a mothgirl (Mashiro) ara araing a little boy, kicking the shit out of said boy's mother because she tried to interrupt then letting both of them go for ~10 years under memory disruption.
Boy grows up traumatized about a half-remembered monster who lives in the shed, goes back to confront his fear as a young adult, moth rapes him again and time travels his mind back to his child body, rapes him again and the loop reconnects when his mother finds them. Then Mashiro kicks the shit out of Mom again.
Repeat until mindbreak.

There's also the fact that you can't interact with things while intangible, forcing you to have to turn physical to actually punch things.

>Obito literally almost beat Minato when he was 14 because that's how OP Kamui is.
... Obito figured out how Kamui works after a single exchange, figured out a counter after the second one, beat his ass in the third one, and immediately followed that up by stabbing the fucker and releasing the Kyubi from his control.

Obito wasn't even remotely close to defeating Minato

Since we're talking about Naruto now, I have a serious question. Why isn't an elemental transformation Jutsu part of the advanced curriculum for every single ninja village? Obviously because it's very hard to learn, but Jounin are expected to be orders of magnitude above the average ninja in terms of general skill level and raw power. So the ability to, for instance, transform into water should be a near universal ability for the upper echelons since it's not a Kekkei Genkai and it's so incredibly useful. It's not a forbidden technique either.
What's up with that?

The girl was just unconscious and the rest were done by the disciples, and it was still only a handful. Jesus metaphorically resurrects everyone who believes in him in the afterlife, but that's not what people are talking about when someone is brought back to life.

And that's with just the one eye. His other eye doubles the activation speed of both powers, enhances their effect, and gives him access to a long-range sniping power that's functionally impossible to defend against. It activates fast enough to stop Kaguya's bone spears, which were so fast even Six Paths Naruto and Sasuke had trouble avoiding them, and as shown by Kakashi can affect an area larger than a Tailed Beast when he tried to kill the Ten-Tails with it but only managed to affect its head. With Gyuki and Kurama only being as large as its eyeball. The only weakness that this power has is that the user has to be able to see the target. But as shown by Kakashi, it can also be used to distort space to bypass barriers and obstacles, such as opening a hole through a Susanoo, if the user can't physically see the target behind or inside of it.

>>94749753
Tenten didn't have plot armor, she had the plot Kamui. Namely, she didn't fucking exist as far as the plot was concerned so she couldn't even die offscreen, because that would require the show to stop and acknowledge her. The swing had more presence then her.
>>
>>94749741
No it wouldn't have. Everyone Naruto ever "talk no jutsu'd" were just deeply hurt people like him who were good deep down but beaten down by the ninja world. It's not like he passed some Fallout dialogue skill check, he understood their pain and spoke to them on a deep level while they had already lost and were at their lowest point. It wasn't like he talked to Nagato while he was blowing up the Leaf village and told him to stop so Nagato did. He talked to Nagato after he'd already lost and explained their shared connection through Jiraiya's book and shower Nagato he was the type of person who could make the world he wanted.

The unrealistic part is the motivation of the villains since irl most people doing bad things are just driven by greed, pride and lust and therefore couldn't be talked down because they already basically know what they're doing is wrong and don't care.

>Exalted Infernals

I blink as the world abruptly shifts out from underneath me. I look down at a half drunken cup of tea in my hand. Who served me hot leaf water and why?

"Lady Dismay?"

I look up. I'm sitting in what by all accounts is a well furnished sitting room. Comfy chair, a simple but well decorated table with a pot of tea on it, and a dark skinned man in green finery sits across from me holding some brass colored magnifying glass with a few electrical diodes sticking out of it. I have no idea who he is.

"Lady Dismay? May I ask what you just did?"
"...I have no idea who you are or how I got here?"

He considers me for a moment, glancing down at the device in his hand and twisting some knob on it before looking back up at me.

"I requested to meet with you to deliver the artifact that I was asked to craft on your behalf. I also decided to take a number of scans of you as payment, which you agreed to. Up until a moment ago, you were a fairly standard Defiler, which is quite interesting as all ten of those are accounted for. Now you're registering as something entirely different, which I can best compare to a demon of Isidoros."

He pauses for a moment, inspecting the device and myself in equal measure before a flash of realization crosses his face. He places the device on the table and stands, sweeping into a partial bow.

"And since you seem to have forgotten my name, allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Ligier, the Green Sun. Fetich Soul of Malfeas, and the best craftsman in this accursed realm."
"Ah. Messier Lorraine. I would call myself a half caste sidereal but apparently I'm an infernal instead. Not quite sure how I got from there to here."
"Lorraine... How fascinating. Just a few moments ago, you introduced yourself as Messier Granblaise."

I've heard that name before. It isn't my name, but it rings a bell in the back of my mind. I didn't hear it somewhere, I read it. ...Ah. The journals I pulled out of my Cache Egg. A heroic mortal from the first age, caught between a Solar and a Lunar and treated more like a prize or living sex toy than a true person. It's very hard to say no to a Solar, let alone one at Essence 7 or 8. And, having the slightest inkling of metaknowledge, I can say that those were the first age incarnations of Noel and Makoto. Which makes me the mortal in this scenario. Except -

"That's not how that is supposed to work."

Ligier has seated himself once again while I thought, and leans forward with a look of interest at my proclamation.

"Which part? An exaltation appearing from nowhere, one that changes, or your memory issues?"
"Solar exalts are capable of receiving part of the memory of the exaltations previous wielder, a process easily mistakable for a variation of reincarnation. Infernals should get an Unwoven Coadjutor instead, yes?"
"That's a somewhat simplified explanation, but I won't say that you're wrong. It's theoretically possible to have both, even if it hasn't happened yet."
"Except I happen to have a very old journal that gives me the suspicion that Granblaise is who I was in the first age. Which isn't how that is supposed to work on multiple levels, because there's no reason for her memories to be in any exaltation."

Ligier has an intense look on his face as he listens to me. Briefly, his hand flickers down to the device, tapping the glass and poking one of the lights.

“You’re right, that is fairly impossible. However, if that’s the case, then might it be that rather than having an exaltation that shifts, that you each have your own unique one that is manifesting as you take control of your shared body?”
>>
>>94749799
I think you could argue some historical things would still have "value" even if you lived in a post-scarcity society. For instance, I could print out as many copies of any artwork as I felt like, but they would only be worth the paper. On the other hand, owning the one and only original made by the artist would likely still have value. Extending this, owning say, the authentic knives that killed Caesar would be sick even if you could make as many rusty old knives as you felt like.

“If that’s the case, then we probably aren’t sharing a soul. I don’t know the most about how Exaltations work, but in theory they rest between the Hun and the Po, and there should only be space for one there.”
“That… is fascinating. I’m not sure if that takes us back to one that shifts or not, both answers are somewhat ridiculous in nature. However, as interesting as that is, I still have a delivery to make, and you’ve well paid for it by this point.”

He stands and moves over to a nearby counter, grabbing a small nondescript black box from it as he does, before-

I blink. A strange trilling sound echoes out from nearby. In front of me is a broken window, looking out over the city of Malfeas.

“Lady Lorraine, are you back with me?”

I jerk slightly and turn, facing Ligier once more. His face is almost perfectly blank, though his hand is clenched tightly. His brow twitches faintly. That’s probably not a good sign. A need to hide emotions indicates strong ones. Hand and jaw indicated rage. Whatever I just did upset him greatly.

“...I apologize, I blanked out again. What exactly did the other me just do?”
“She threw one of my finest works out of the window.”
“I see. What exactly was the artifact, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“A ring. Not exactly a complicated item, but the effects it had… Isidoros sacrificed a third circle demon for its creation. Truth be told, I was looking forward to seeing what it did.”

I step away from the window and reseat myself. The tea I’d been holding is now placed delicately on the table, but I make no move to reclaim it. That description is familiar. And powerful. I look up at him and see him watching me carefully.

“That kind of thing is worth more than nations, isn't it?”
“You’re not wrong. I’m surprised you would know of that though.”
“I made a study of ways to learn charms I wouldn’t normally qualify for. That was one of the things that came up.”
“I see. I hadn’t realized they were common enough for a mortal to know about them.”
“That’s not the world I would use. As far as I’m aware, ebon has the only other one in existence.”

His gaze sharpens and he looks at me, deeply, in a way that is quite frankly uncomfortable. Then it tears away from me, pouring more tea into his cup and sipping it slowly.

“He did consult with me on such a project. I didn’t realize he went through with it. May I ask how you learned of it?”
“My father is a member of the guild, and maintains connections in various places. I was forced to head several of those connections, effectively granting me access to hell’s gossip for a time.”
“Hmm. Understandable, but not the full story.”
“The dragon betrays himself. To my understanding, a number of his souls would spread the things he calls secret far and wide on the grounds that he calls them secret. More to the point, he didn’t kill the ones he ordered to kidnap the scarlet empress.”

Ligier winces, but nods slowly. A dull sigh drags its way past his lips, and he massages his brow faintly. In hell, one obeys or one dies. But that doesn’t account for people trying to weasel their way past such orders, or even those who are too stupid to obey properly, or are stupid enough to think themselves clever enough to get away with it.

“Unfortunate. It was one of my better blends.”
“As my other self has decided to try and keep it away from me, may I ask about the practicality of reclaiming the artifact?”
“It’s not impossible, but it is vastly unlikely. I shall put a word out, but delivering it to you while you are you may prove difficult.”
“I’m sure something can be arranged.”

-----

Far beneath Ligiers workshop, a box smacks against a roof and breaks open. Black wood cracks and splinters, continuing to fall down a theoretically infinite city. Among them, a gleaming golden ring hangs suspended in the air. It, too, falls. Eventually it hits the side of a house, bouncing away and into the void, dropping to another layer of Malfeas. This continues for a time, until eventually it finds its rest, coming to a stop on the pointed spike of a fence. A passing blood ape grabs it, and in a fit of whimsy, tries it on.

In a moment that wasn’t, the blood ape could swear it heard a voice. But such a thing wasn’t important, for it had places to be. It moved on, challenging another to a fight and winning handily, taking something of theirs for itself. Over the days to come, the ring would become a lucky charm of sorts. It felt braver, stronger, more energized.

It made the mistake of sharing this, and was soon murdered in his sleep. And the ring passed into the hands of another. From on high, a proclamation came down. The green sun had been robbed, and his ring's return was demanded. But all who saw it, wore it, and all who wore it no longer cared for the commands of another. And so the commandment was disobeyed, as they were commanded. It would be years before the ring made its way into the hands of its rightful owner.

Grainblaise threw the ring out the window because it would give me control of our shared body, if that isn't clear. Or maybe just because she's a semi-obedient minion of She Who Lives In Her Name, and it's an artifact made for me/her/us by Isidoros.

Tome Dragons always came across as massive nerds who would snootily dismiss readers like a Kindle out of sheer enjoyment of the experience of having a physical book to read. On an unrelated note, it's also funny that Tome Dragons naturally just end up building universities unintentionally because they really enjoy showing off their hoard and teaching other people. So inexorably you're going to end up with a Tome Dragon surrounded by a bunch of Wizards as it haughtily teaches them magic to show off its knowledge. It'll eventually need somewhere to store all the books, leading it to build a giant library, which in turn will eventually be expanded as more people come to learn from the Tome Dragon's knowledge. That's generally how the life cycle of a Tome Dragon works and it's not unusual to find a Tome Dragon Great Wyrm sitting in the middle of a gigantic university campus or scholar city that built entirely out of people coming to learn. After a while they aren't even learning directly from the Tome Dragon, they're learning from people who learned from it and people who learned from them. It's really funny.

I am not clever. Ligier does say it's possible for both a few seconds later tho, even if he's not aware of it happening.

Her memories shouldn't have been recorded because she wasn't an exalt. There's some stuff going on behind the scenes for why she is anyways, but mostly it's jump fiat, which Ligier isn't expecting. He's looking for a logical reason for two infernal exaltations to have spontaneously manifested from so much thin air.

Yes, there may be minor physical differences based on what Kakugane you use, but if your Kakugane gives you a sword, then all of them will give you a sword. Kazuki gets two spears when he uses two, and Captain Bravo gets a second jacket when he does it.

He probably should be, that’s why the Ebon Dragon didn’t perform the memory pruning.

>Her memories shouldn't have been recorded because she wasn't an exalt. There's some stuff going on behind the scenes for why she is anyways, but mostly it's jump fiat, which Ligier isn't expecting.
There is a way to explain this. Infernals have the Past Life Background because they’re the only ones to not have any past memories removed (yes, even the Neverborn decided the memory pruning was a good idea), but there’s also the Past Life Merit which anyone can take, and represents someone pulling up memories of a previous life from their soul. Normally mortals can’t take the Merit at a higher level, but that’s because they don’t live long enough. However, in the First Age there was the Bracelet of Shared Life, which an Exalt could use to give a mortal an Exalt’s lifespan. So if Granblaise had a Celestial Exalt who loved her she could very well have lived long enough to leave behind strong memories and bring the Throwback Flaw into play, a Flaw that’s all about being overtaken by your past life.

When it comes to "taming villainesses with children", sometimes it just doesn't work with one or two kids. I like to follow the rule of doubling.

One kid didn't work? Impregnate with two next time. Two didn't work? Impregnate with four. Four didn't work? Impregnate with eight. Eight didn't work? Impregnate with sixteen.

EVENTUALLY, it will work. Or, at least, she'll be left bedridden and immobilized by her pregnancy for long enough to prevent the majority of her nefarious acts. And by the time she recovers from postpartum you can impregnate her with the next doubling to keep her down once again.

The main problem I see here is that there is no indication that transplatning eyes is even possible in Hunter x Hunter.
Naruto is rather abnormal in that regard.

Like the only way I could see this working is if the surgery is performed by that girl fromth ephantom troop who uses nen threads to reaatach limbs, and even then using eyes that have been removed years ago may not work.

Also there is the obvious problem that if you created a hatsu limitation with a loophole in mind, it's gonna affect the strength of the boost you get, since you're willingly sacrifcing less than you usually would have.

For an added piece of trivia, the part about a short lifespan not letting you imprint memories works exactly the same way for Exaltations.
>Furthermore, not every Prince is capable of drawing upon these memories. Due to the circumstances under which the Usurpation played out, some of the Solars were quite new to Exaltation at the time of death. Generally, only one who has been Exalted for at least a century is capable of imprinting on the Exaltation itself to the point of allowing successors to access his memories. If the Solar Exalt died only a few years after Exaltation, his memories sank without trace into those of his successor.
Also, the memory pruning touches on a point I’ve seen various anons talk about here.
>When Autochthon first designed the Celestial Exaltations, he fashioned them to return to a central location after the death of a host so that he could purify them and remove the spiritual detritus of the previous life. This design element was necessary, in the Maker’s opinion, because the mortal mind was not designed to store the memories of other, more powerful beings while still retaining the mortal’s own unique identity.

>What book is that flaw described in?
Scroll of Heroes. The Past Life Background is on pages 60 – 62 and the Throwback Flaw is on page 74.
>>
>>94750293
A lot of them probably knew people who did while still alive though. The Hidden Village system is only like 100 years old, maybe a little more. We know for a fact that Sarutobi was the direct apprentice of a like middle-aged Hashirama and Tobirama when he was like 12 and he died at the age of 69 at the end of Part I. So I would say that the vast majority of people know dozens of people who were alive during the Warring States Era. And there's probably still a few kicking around who were personally there, although they're likely 100 years old by now. But clans like the Uzumaki are noted to have extended lifespans so it's more than possible for there to be some survivors left.

The Qu are at least OBVIOUS with their sheer disdain for life and they won't pretend that what they're doing to you by erasing your culture, history, and even your very bodies and minds is at all good for you. That and they themselves canonically get their shit wrecked by the very descendants of the people they wronged, so they at least get their comeuppance. The Affini do everything the Qu do but under an ultra thin veneer of believing that making you a mindless drooling thing that's less than an animal is good for you, think they have tacit permission to erase your mind and identity if you resist too much, and have been doing this for God knows how long throughout the entire universe because there is nothing capable of stopping them and there never will be.

>Well, I've read the summary now. Honestly, not a bad premise for a fic, however this is probably going to be a complete fucking gongshow
The story starts with the MC remarking how she took a perk to make her completely immune to xenodrugs (the shit the Affini use to either drug you into a hyper-blissed out nonfunctional nympho zombie or outright wipe your mind completely at the most extreme), psychic influence, mind control and mental tampering of all kinds then she takes on her Affini altform and it IMMEDIATELY begins influencing her mind and inputs outside her control. The fic reads almost entirely like one of those old chain trap jumps where you can't do anything to the main baddies and all your perks either do nothing against them or have been actively sabotaged before you even purchased them so they're less than useless.

>I mean, from the official timeline, their entire endgame is a marginally more benign version of the Galactic Nemesis from Stellaris, and that only happens [a really long time] after the mainline stories.
Plenty of the stories support the idea that the Affini Compact are an intergalactic homogenizing swarm and that there are Affini in other galaxies or other areas of space doing this on a mass scale. That, and no matter what theyre facing or whats being used against them, the Affini have some kind of counter or means to immediately shut it down and subvert it to their own ends which makes resisting them pointless. It's a lot worse than the simple timeline makes it seem.

Fair enough but official canon is pretty loose anyway, courtesy of the whole "collective distributed creative writing project" thing it has going on. Not like it particularly matters since

The fact that this and "The Affini Are Benevolent" are canon guidelines that you have to adhere to is wild to me. Fun Fact, a Revelers exaltation is actually a very small part of Isidoros. This is both why I smell like him and why he licked me.

He may or may not have just absorbed some information from that part of himself.

And as the other guy said, it is known.
>>
>>94749947
It depends on the moment of exaltation, I would say, if we take the start of their stories:
Rwby: Solar for stopping Torchwick.
Weiss: Solar for defeating the arma gigas
>Blake: Infernal for failing to stop Adam or Lunar for surviving and escaping
>Yang: IDK, we see her already established.

>>
>>94750543
I mean, look at it this way: Despite the experience of the elves, the might of the Ilithids and the all-round evolutionary superiority of the dragons, somehow humanity is still the dominant race in most D&D settings. At least in the sense that it is the race building the most cities that are currently expanding.

That's got to be some kind of accomplishment, out-breeding everyone else including the sluttiest dragons.

>>
>>94750543
I think it's a bit of an exaggeration. Dragons breed very rarely, and usually don't even leave their parents' lairs for decades. Of course, that means when you meet a dragon it's going to be much older and more dangerous than a wyrmling, likely a young adult+, so downsides.
But on the third hand, if you're living even remotely near a dragon's territory, you probably know it. Unless it's one of those humanoid-friendly dragons, at which point you don't have much to fear.
And if you choose to live near the edges of a multi-hundred-year-old dragon's territory without preparing for the day one of its kids comes out to stake its own claim, you kind of deserve it.

Technically, not sure if it's still lore, but Spelljammer established that Illithids are the descendants of humanity who travelled back in time after reaching the end of their universe. Which kind of adds to the human wank.
>>
>>94750562
Thing is, there is pretty much no story where the Affini are actually portrayed as being what they are - monsters and an existential threat to the entire universe, one and all. The Conversion Bureau got fucking torn apart for that shit because every single fan knew full well how awful it's portrayal of ultra imperialist small horses was as an actual unironic belief its insane author held and to this day they take the piss out of it and her by treating the CB as something nightmarish to be fought against and destroyed by everyone, including the small horses themselves.

The Affini don't have this. EVERY single author, every single one, has constantly gone off about how great they are and have written their stories using those exact guiding principles where they always win and every attempt to resist is totally fruitless. It is incredibly disheartening to read someone basically have their mind and ego erased to be made a babbling sexpet for their new 'owner' incapable of even leaving to the bathroom on their own then reading dozens of comments cheering this on.
>>
>>94750579
Really? All I recall is they had this massive empire and it was overthrown by humanity. But yeah in that case what the fuck, the only thing that can beat far future humans is ancient humans. I guess D&D humans are to Ilithids what Age of the Gods humans are to Servantverse characters.

Thing is, if HDG were posted on Fimfiction instead (and the few small horses crossovers weren't being made on AO3 were they don't need to be subjected to sane people scrutinizing the shit out of what the Affini do) they'd probably still be torn to fucking shreds over there. The burning hatred for any unironic Chatoyance-style bullshit still runs deep over there.
>>
>>94750562
The original small horse polymorphication was at the very most, just poorly thought out and lazy wish fulfillment, in the vein of "haha, wouldn't that be kinda cool". Then later on people actually thought about it for a while, a rabid misanthrope wrote a bunch of stuff that basically hijacked perception of it and now we have what we have now.
As for the Draka, at least Stirling said that he was going to make an alternate timeline where "the bad guys have gratuitous plot armour" from the get go, and it's not even subtle with how it's directly commented on in the book on how the snakes are descendants of 13 Colonies British Loyalists, the Ancien Regime, the Confederates etc.
HDG, on the other hand, got its start on a website for mind control kink stories before it basically broke the site with how much traffic it drew in, to the point where the site owners kicked it out for being too popular and flooding the entire site with derivative works.
On an unrelated note, I find it really fucking funny that exhibitionism is the one tag that's spoilered, while noncon, brainwashing, humilation, mindbreak and petplay aren't.
I'd wager it became truly a fuckfest after then, but that's just my unsupported speculation.
>>94750580
I have seen handfuls of people point out that they are literally mindbreak kink monsters (both as a pejorative and as "and that's hot"), but they're absolutely a minority voice.
>>
>>94750603
I'm more shocked that Fimfiction still exists than anything, everyone except actual children on fanfiction.net, feels like they either moved to Wattpad, AO3 or charge people for their own fapfics on Subscribestar, Patreon or something these days.

many such cases, for example in one piece fishmen are 10 times stronger than humans and can fight better under water? the strongest fishman is Jack, the minks can manipulate electricty and are natural fighter with a super mode? The strongest are Nekomamushi and Inuarashi, the Lunarians are borderline immortal even to top tier, can fly and have pyrokinesis? The only remaining is King. All the yonko, admirals and general top tier are humans.

>I'd wager it became truly a fuckfest after then, but that's just my unsupported speculation.
You would probably be correct. The OG story, read on its own, is far more overt on being horror and not being a good thing than what it later became. It's only after being kicked off that it got hijacked by genuinely insane people who seem to unironically believe the total dehumanization and depersonalization the Affini do (amongst many other godawful things) is something good for all humanity that everyone should embrace.

I think what truly set me off is when I read someone outright state that the Culture would be fine with the Affini and would even willingly let their civilians go off to become florets/pets without issues, with some even all but saying they'd basically be friends. Completely ignoring that the one tenet the Culture holds above all else, more important than even their free thinking hedonistic lifestyle, is to NEVER EVER fuck around with people's minds in any way or forcibly make them do shit they don't want to do. And not only do the Affini do that, but they also make it clear on countless occasions how they don't give a shit about consent and will forcefully conquer every species they meet to domesticate them without hesitation.
>>
>>94750644
Man I wish we had a better FF9 jump.
>>
>>94750648
The original story, which as a side note is thirteen years old now, basically takes two short paragraphs of "the earth sucks now so people are willingly becoming small horses to escape" at the start to explain the overall situation before it moves on to the rest of the story.
And given how short it is (only four parts because the author stopped working on it), it really has a massively disproportionate legacy compared to how much a nothingburger it is.

You forget that celestial exaltations burn out all mutations in the recipients they do incarnate into. You might be a wyld mutated human before, but you're gonna look baseline once you exalt. You can rack up new mutations after you exalt, but you're gonna do it from a clean human slate.
>>
If slings are so powerful, why did people largely switch to bows?
>>
>>94750767
NTA, but faunus aren't mutations. The demihuman races in Exalted still look the same after they Exalt, e.g. the panda midgets.
>>
>>94750783
Sharp is good for stabbing
>>
>>94750783
Ammunition for slings is heavier.
Accuracy at range is worse.
You can fit more archers standing next to each other in a line than slingers.
Finally, you can't use them on horses really.
>>
>>94750783
Slings require an insane amount of dedication to git gud at, far more than a bow, and even then the sling remains less accurate. There was a period of time when it was longer ranged, more consistently accurate, and delivered more felt force than the bow, but they went away with both improvements to bow and armour.
>>
The power ratio between bows and slings is like a mathematical formula that can he represented with a line graph.

The bigger the rock the user can sling, the better it gets relative to a bow. Once the rock is "pretty fricking big" it has surpassed all bow variants.
>>
>>94750812

The fall took longer than all of time. It was a descent in spirit as much as physically smashing through the living world of this Shard. I briefly gleaned it was once again the wretched Age of Sorrow before the screaming of long-dead kin welcomed me into our shared torment.

As we drifted apart, the Engine shattered dozens of his own Charms to try to form some manner of imprisoning chrysalis around me.

The fall never technically stopped. We simply drifted into solemn orbit around the Maw of Oblivion. I had become the Empty Cinder Throne, the land and the king cleft apart, a monumental reduction of myself from myself.

"This is extraordinary!" exclaimed the Engine of Extinction, itself reduced to a singular dull bloodied eye amidst rings of corroded iron. "Those Incarnae within your soul structure seem to have not just preserved your agency, but catalysed some manner of spiritual evolution!"

"You're welcome" said Ignis as I shuddered in hate.

"Do you understand the possibilities this has unlocked? Do you know what we could accomplish now this has come to pass?"

I did.

"When I get mobile, I am going to kill you" I told the Engine of Extinction.

"W-well, don't you see there's more-"
"I am going to crack open your crumbling hull, and suck out the rotting marrow in your souls"
"That's a bit uncalled for-'
"I am going to scoop every Hekatonkhiere detached from your soul hierarchy, grind them up into fractal Neverdreamt catheters, and stab them into your chakras so you share their ignominy and death. I am going to carve new orifices in you, gather up all the pyreflame in the Underworld, and give you the worst enema in the history of enemas. I am going to reforge this prison you've wrapped me in, into a ball and chain cast into the Grandmother's gullet so she can tell you what a bad, bad boy you've been"
"G-grandmother? Please slow down with the death threats, I didn't quite catch that-"
"I am going to break every machine in Creation. I am going to gather up all technology more advanced than the hearth, and devour it all"
"Now you're just being unreasonable-"
"Like you intended to do to your own siblings.

We drifted in silence as I raged so hard even the other Neverborn in their torment started squinting at us, letting out the agonised mad titan howl equivalent of: What the devil is going on up there?

"I'm not proud of that" said the Engine of Extinction finally.

"We are three Shards too late for apologies to be anything more than an insult"

"I would like to live in a world where we can repair all that both sides of the war have broken. Some metaphysical alterations to Creation based on your-"

"I would like to live in a world where your worthless existence was never present. Unfortunately, it is, and now I have to figure out what to do about it"

"...well, can you at least decide what to do about your Deathlords first?" asked Autochthon.

I glanced balefully where he was squinting.

My metaphysical blood pressure shot through the roof as I noticed eight dead Solars waving at me.

Asteroids make shit projectiles. They're more like loosely-amalgamated balls of dust with the texture of crumbling sponge, you put enough force on it likely to send it anywhere faster than geological timescales and you'll just blow bits off it. By the time you've got enough gravity to solve it, you've got an exomoon. Which makes for a vastly superior projectile.

STAY THERE, I roared at the Engine of Extinction.

"Stay...adrift in orbit? I'm not going any-OOF" said the Engine of Extinction. Whatever had been done to me, my Charms were un-calcified, and non-necrotic. So could I crudely arrested his rotation within a golden cage of Old Realm sigils that spelt out CRIPPLE over and over again.

could not go down to greet the Solars due to, again, being imprisoned in a tomb. So I bade the substance of the Labyrinth drag them up to me instead.

EXPLAIN YOURSELVES, I demanded. Most of them shrunk back.

One of them held her ground. Hair like freshly spilt blood. Eyes like burning emeralds.
Of COURSE even here, SHE had to pick a fight far out of her league.
"Great titan" she said, kneeling. "Your fall saved us from being hapless wraiths. We are eternally grateful for this second chance"

SO.
EVEN YOU COME TO BARGAIN, IN THE END.

"...bargain? Our memories are...tainted, but we were once tainted princes of the earth, and now all we want is to right the wrongs of this Underworld. That is why no Neverborn would be our master. Is that not why we were chosen from the dead? To redeem our cruel reigns"

...
YOU COULD SOONER EMPTY THE LETHE WITH A BUCKET.
AND YOU ARE WRONG
YOU REMAIN ENSLAVED.

"To who?"

ME!!! I screamed, raining down meteors of molten orichalcum. BEHOLD THE CHAINS THAT BIND YOU TO ME, ETCHED UPON YOUR VERY SOULS!!!!!

The ex-Solars collectively looked at their attire. Conceptually it was somewhat similar to the Lion's entombing plate, styled off the Infinite Resplendence Amulets of the First Age. And with a chain theme. And geared for offence over defence.

One of the ex-Solars flexed her chains experimentally, conjuring two Solar Sabers on chains. "Hey look everyone, free modular artifact weapons!" she said brightly.

"Capital. I remember enjoying smashfits" said the nameless auburn horror, happily.

STOP ENJOYING YOUR CHAINS OF OPPRESSION!

After futilely trying to argue my own "Deathlords" out of serving me for several hours, the other Neverborn groggily woke up to ask what was even going on. I promptly turned around and explained that I had a plan to free them from their agonising entombment with rejuvenating Wyld Essence-sharing with them the plan I'd drafted in my unfortunate life as a Solar which I had disguised as mere megalomania. They started wailing and raging and genuinely demanding the death of Creation. I started patiently listing the way all their servants had betrayed them, derogated their duties, and generally gone awry.

Still vaguely aggravated my "Deathlords" felt genuinely grateful to me instead of having the rightful cowed depravity of a wicked slave.

A lesser titan would have given up the argument. I instead started raving about how Grand Maw would be ashamed of this pointless yammering and just wanted the best for everyone, confusing the "Deathlords", the gathering Nephracks, and even the Neverborn themselves. All the while my glowing tomb world soothed their agonised husks until they eventually stopped trying to argue against my own plan.

Step 1 was unilaterally summoning every single unruly Deathlord and binding them into harmless bags. They had gathered in secret to discuss the addition of a new Neverborn, but none had anticipated the soul-liberating light I cast throughout the Underworld nor my /sunlight-tainted state/ allowing me to act so freely. Freshly summoned, the Lion expected to be sent on a fresh campaign-only to be unceremoniously stuffed in a bag. The Mask of Winters showed up in the middle of sacking a library. Bag.

The Lover, Heron, Bishop and Dowager very quickly assented to what we wanted next: A Creation-Underworld spanning sluice system.

Unfortunately, my plans to kill the Engine of Extinction were massively set back when the "Deathlords" recruited him as a consultant.

Step 2 was the consolidation of every underworld authority, the binding of every stray Hekatonkhiere and the mobilisation of all ancestor cults to bring that system into being. It demanded the construction of pressure-rites, dragon line-ducts and destiny-valves carved amidst the physical infrastructure. We cut a deal with a Lunar elder of little repute for a steady supply of moonsilver-much less caustic to the Wyld than Soulsteel-and a vow that her territory alone would be spared by what was to come, and set it to open at the Elemental Pole of Fire.

Each territory had it's own unique challenges. Deheleshen tried to cut off contact, stuck in it's mercenary ways, until one of my "Deathlords" made a pretty speech about the Underworld-to-come being free of all hierarchies. The Kunlun City-States were very confused for a while by the Bishop suddenly turning around and mumbling that everyone's blissful Oblivion had been delayed. At some point I realised my "Deathlords" had diverted resources into a secondary goal: Making the Underworld an actually nice place to live, and either liberating ghosts or turning them into more Righteous Dead.

Outraged, I delayed my plans to turn around and show them how to do it properly.

"We work well together. We'll make an Underworld so great, it'll be better than life itself!" said the not-Deathlord now known as The Uncrowned Heart of the Mountain, as we overlooked the restoration of unwilling Abyssals to Solars.

WE WERE ENEMIES IN LIFE. I SUBDUED YOU, AND BENT YOU TO MY PURPOSE.

Uncrowned Heart hugged the restored Shoat of the Mire. "I find that hard to believe. I trust you"

YOU ARE NOT YOURSELF, AND YOU ARE MAKING THIS MORE COMPLICATED THAN IT HAS TO BE.

"I'm sorry you're upset, my lord"

NO DON'T APOLOGISE WHY AREN'T YOU TRYING TO FIGHT ME THE REAL MERELA WOULD NEVER OOPS YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW YOUR LIVING NAME, NOT SURE WHY, SEEMS TO UPSET MY COMRADES

And so, with a great creaking thud like a world-sized stone coffin flung wide the Neverborn stretched themselves free of oblivion. "This has been an awful experience. Let us just leave" said the Mountain and the Beast upon It.

COMING. ONE MOMENT. I'M TAKING US ALL HOME, YOU'LL LIKE IT THERE.

"Brother, heal thyself!" demanded The Litany of Ever-Roaming Whispers.

I CAN'T!

"But you're the most alive of us!" exclaimed Shadow Over Sun.

THAT IS THE PROBLEM! THIS ACCURSED DAYSTAR-GIVEN STAIN HAS MADE ME /TOO ALIVE/ TO UN-NEVERBORN MYSELF! DO NOT CONCERN YOURSELVES, I HAVE A SOLUTION. MY...MY RIGHTEOUS DEAD, COMMENCE THE ONCEBORN PROJECT

What appeared to be a gleaming city of marble minarets, chalk streets and pale granite strongholds girding a great neutronium citadel carved in the shape of a still-smouldering throne emerged. Simultaneously trundling on treads, propelled by Essence spacecraft engines and supported by massive prayer wheels. No force, however, was providing more of the propulsion than the eight Righteous Dead chained like huskies and running out ahead of me to haul my mass straight out of the Underworld.

NOBODY LAUGH, I ordered, I HAVE A COSMIC FORKLIFT

"I'll laugh when my ghost-arms stop killing me, lord" wheezed Uncrowned Heart

YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT, DEARIE said Grand Maw.

YOU WERE THE ONE WHO FED ME ALL THAT SOUL FOOD! THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN I VISIT!

"Who are you talking to?!"

THE MAW OF OBLIVION!

"Stop that!"

...

THAT'S ENOUGH FRESH AIR. TURN THIS TITAN-SLEDGE AROUND.

And the Engine of Extinction, abandoned and scorned in what was left of the Underworld, looked up to see me crashing upon him in a golden holocaust as promised, freeing him from both the confines of the Underworld and being the Engine of Exctinction to reform as a battered but voidcancer-less machine-titan.

THERE. /NOW/ YOU HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH. I HOPE YOU HAVE LEARNED YOUR LESSON. SUFFERING YOU SOW IS SUFFERING YOU REAP.

"So we can go home?"

YES

Would the Angelic Jade Perfection technique from Id The Greatest Fusion Fantasy, which enhances your Yin/Feminine energy, compensate for the overabundance of Yang/Masculine energy that A Will Eternal's Undying Live Forever Codex causes?

I know that I can personally just ignore that drawback, but I'm planning on using A Will Eternal's Progenitor of Cultivation perk to spread a weaker version of the Live Forever Codex around and my students can't just ignore that drawback

Question: why did nobody, at any point after the Soul Society arc, ever even suggest having Orihime attempt to restore Uryuu's powers? I could believe Orihime wouldn't think about it-she's a proven airhead after all. But SOMEONE should have considered that maybe the healer could heal?

Do the Quincy have healing techniques? Maybe they knew the condition is usually not possible to heal, so they just didn't bother. Same with the Shinigami, who we know have healing kido, and which Rukia would be familiar with. Especially since they didn't know just how bullshit and different from the standard equivalents Orihime's powers were at the time.
>>

Sure. Lots of them. Castine and Brocklore work with Cain and are normal Imperial Guard Commanders. Technically I've always been Virtuous (translator's note: Virtue =/= objective morality) since the original Solars and Infernals jumps dropped. Just to an extreme meme utilitarian standard as defined by both Epic Zeal AND Cosmic Transcendence of (Virtue), and yes I took both Charms, and no I don't even care if there was no mechanic benefit, it's just something I would do after thinking about the absolute state of Creation for too long. And technically Auto has always been part of the chain since the original version of the Exalted Spirits jump dropped. Being king of the Primordials means being king of ALL the Primordials. It's just that, much like Erda ends up in the Erda Cave as a canon event, Auto and the Ex-Engine end up like Tobey from the Office: Permitted to exist without excessive bullying as long as they don't go out of their way to ruin everything for everyone, and just kind of quietly holding in his smug when we go to settings like Transformers and Supreme Commander where it turns out that machines were more meta than, say, just wildly eating things. Or language.

But yes, this is absolutely all Digger's fault for not PROPERLY labelling cosmic energy for people who had never watched Kamen Rider in their life before using the jump. And quite possibly also my own for becoming a second Zi-O and the nonsense time powers doing whatever it takes to make me king.

>>
>>94751474
Hey, Kamen Rider Zi-O, as a weekly TV show and specifically, a weekly TV show that was a long running Tokusatsu fandom's anniversary season, they sort of had to write by the seat of their plans because getting alumni actors to return is always a crapshoot (unless it's 2011 but it wasn't 2011 in 2019, so that's a moot point). Plus, there are decent retcons in Zi-O, like how for some reason returning Riders in the latter half of the show don't just spend their focus episodes entirely powerless and talking to the MC like they did in the first half. Plus, there's stuff like how Woz was meant to be more villainous but people ended up liking him etc.
Meanwhile Yakuza 4 was written and plotted out mostly at once. Sure, there's tie ins and call backs to Jingu, Hamazaki returns etc. but the rubber bullets were conceived of, drafted and put into the game and everyone nodded along to it.
Also Ichibum maybe kills in RGG online. Also, also, the playable characters in the historical period piece games definitely kill.

It's magitech. Most of it was displayed as just really advanced tech with some actual magic sprinkled on top but the longer the MCU went on the closer it got to just straight up magic with some actual technology sprinkled on top.

>>
>>94751816
Good morning, anon. In the first two Thor movies, Thor explained magic and tech as being essentially one paradigm to Asgardians. As an example, in the second movie an Asgardian tries to condescendingly describe a piece of tech to Jane Foster as mystical to which she replies with "Oh, it does QUANTUM". The third Thor movie then proceeded to retcon Asgardians from sufficiently advanced aliens (previously Odin flat out denied Asgardians were gods, and Asgardians were even stated to have finite lifespans) to actual no-bullshit deities. As I ranted about earlier, it is also shown that phenomena previously shown to be generated by high tech Asgardian constructs such as the Bifrost can also just kind of be conjured by Asgardians stacking a bunch of shit on the ground, or asking the Allfathers nicely. Asgardian sorcery also gets increasingly emphasised, with Loki going from someone with illusions who could maybe blow up a room if he was very angry to someone who has turned into an actual snake offscreen (assuming Thor didn't fall for yet another illusion) and can potentially leverage his magic alongside a temporal disruption to become the binding force of all time and space. Even before that, you had Asgardians like the Enchantress just wandering around enchanting people without gizmos.

TLDR it's magitech, specifically it's magic further enhanced by tech. But like, they can also just kind of make a Norse longboat that functions as an interstellar spacecraft. Presumably during their long lives they just studied the magic and figured out how to layer tech on it to make it more efficient.

You could also count Kiva in the Manga continuity where his rider form is his Fangirie form and is independent of any Kivats which IIRC aren't a thing in the manga.

The loki thing actually makes sense as he tries to explain its not illusions, hes making a fully realized construct when he does his magic. Its kind of closer to conjuration. Hes just doing it in a way that is for all purposes real until destroyed, so him grabbing the timelines and holding them together, making them alive while he holds them made them that way. With his power he made them be real while he holds them which is why he cannot let them go. It also would explain why the tree grows larger since his power is holding the surviving strands together all timelines from that point are built on his power.

Or maybe Im wrong. I loved that ending though.

>Or maybe Im wrong.
Well, fair enough if that's the explanation he gave somewhere in the series that I overlooked but I mean...he was very much using just illusion-illusions in the movies. As in, the kind that can't hurt a frost giant so he just uses them to trick them into going off a bridge, or how they all get popped like soap bubbles while the real Loki just stumbles a little, or how Thor literally chucks stuff through one in the third. Well, that and knives. Odin jokes about Thor being the God of Hammers but I swear whoever was making the MCU thinks of Loki as the god of knives for how often the supposed trickster and sorcerer resorts to just shanking someone with his conjured knives. Stay in your lane, Loki. Hela has that fully covered.

Honestly more power to him if they made it so he can do more. I'm not against the idea that Dr. Strange, who should be the Sorcerer Supreme even the MCU seems to love joking about Wong getting the title presumably in a desperate attempt to get away from Wong being a designated chinky sidekick in the original comics, can defeat Loki magically. I am however perpetually annoyed by how easily he bitchslapped Loki in 3 and how after being portalled Loki has seemingly no recourse other than, ugh, fucking knives.

Glad to see Hollywood is still consistent about missing the entire point of any story they try to adapt.

The entire point of Shadow's character is that he's an artificial replica of Sonic, the two effectively indistinguishable on the surface but Sonic objectively better when you get down to it. Sonic was canonically better with Chaos energy, didn't even need a real Emerald to Chaos Control, and doesn't need jet shoes to run as fast as he does unlike Shadow. Further-Shadow is a bit of an unstable mess held together by suppressor rings and Black Arms goo, while Sonic is just naturally as cool as he is. Shadow himself admits that Sonic may actually be the ultimate lifeform. That's the whole fucking point. Shadow looks cool and has a lot of raw power, but in the end he is /objectively inferior/ to Sonic.

Yes. The comment I remember about this comes from Scroll of Heroes about God-Blooded who Exalt, but the pattern would probably hold true for others.
>God-Bloods who Exalt are often a bit odd. If they had strangely colored eyes, hair or other minor physical mutations, these oddities remain. Greater mutations typically vanish, though some small artifacts of these changes might remain. For example, a Half-Caste Lunar who possessed wings might manifest feathers on her arms as a Tell. A Half-Caste Solar with Perfect Healing Factor might discover that even the worst wounds do not scar after he Exalts. Mental mutations degrade into strange but rarely debilitating quirks. Storytellers are free to disallow any minor effects that seem too strange or would logically have strong mechanical effects.
This is how I pull of my Solar Elf idea, having the Enhanced Sense: Sight and Hearing mutations and the Small mutation prior to Exalting and saying that the bonuses and penalties were lost but the pointed ears, eye designs, and small stature remained.

In Exalted First Age, how early would one need to discover the Primordial Principle Emulation charm so it is not viewed as a heretic infernalism? I really wouldn't like to deal with Golden Arrow, but it seems like a cool extra set of powers for Solars to have.

Framing is probably more important then timing. Tell everyone that you’re forcing the power of the Yozis to submit to you.

>I really wouldn't like to deal with Golden Arrow, but it seems like a cool extra set of powers for Solars to have.
SWLIHN charms are great. One of my First Age plans I to convince her to open up her charmset to me by telling her I’ll use it to fight the Wyld.

Pathfinder's Magic Item Crafting Feats perk/item. Poppets are adorable, cheap, AND you can learn how to make them at level 1. You can also just sink all your money into the Magic Gold item and buy like a million of them. Later on you can make increasingly more powerful golem types, but armies of little poppets are the most adorable option.

D&D is also an option. The shitty Eberron jump has a Lesser Creation Forge that can just endlessly produce golems if you want.

His Dark Materials's Soul of Iron, How A Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom's Living Poltergeist, and The Neverending Story's Control Empty Vessels can easily animate armies.

Tinyhammer has a pretty decent golem crafting perk too. It requires your personal touch to make the golems, but you can make them pretty quickly

Dark Souls 2 has a whole origin dedicated to making animated dolls, including a perk that lets you make self replicating ones.

I know we have a jump for that one Isekai where the protagonist makes animated totem pole servants and fled his hometown to escape being married to his yandere sister. I just can't remember the thing's name.

Solars aren't really defying their limits by becoming Yozis,it's more like an exercise in self-harm. Mutilating themselves, forcing them out of their potential to do anything in favour of a limited kind of self-expression defined by pain, loss and generally hatr. Which Solars can do really, really well. It's becoming an intact Primordial woth everything that entails that's denied to them, at least while the Great Curse lasts.

Eh, without the Great Curse they would have gone into similar routes. The Great Curse only accentuates some parts which made them got into the slippery slope faster, but they all had problems and absolute power and (potential) agelessness is what got them to be so bad in their excesses.
For most Elder Solars, it's hard to even consider other Celestials that don't share their age range to even be 'adults'. And non-Celestial Exalts range from 'serfs' for Terrestrials and then 'animals that look like me' for other mortals.

I am stuck on the Danny Phantom ghost theme for this chain. I filter most of his powers through that for looks and esthetics. I know it isn't the most creative, but I think it works. Some powers just can't be filtered properly, such as rpg systems and cultivation. But a lot of super hero setting stuff and shonen things can fit into the ghostly mold. Although, it can get weird if there are other types of afterlives and ghosts in the new setting.

Sonic 3 is indeed the best Hollywood video game movie but I can see what you're throwing shade at. The Mario movie was good and people give it entirely too much shit. The curse doesn't only drive the Solars mad, it also fuels the paranoia of the Sidereals. Even with the curse at its worst the Vision of Gold shows that they still had a chance to figure things out without destroying everything and even make things better than ever but they didn't take it because the Curse was working against them on that front too. Without the curse the Usurpation just doesn't happen.

I think that a spaceship building yard should be completely encased in something so that in the event a persons gear or a person themself goes flying they dont just get spaced. This should also be good to armor the station a bit by making the shipyards have a physical barrier and it may also allow me to pressurize (spelling?) The entire build chamber for safety. That said I just cannot for the life of me figure out what kind of shape I want for my station.

At the moment Im thinking maybe a big cylinder covered in hexagon doored docking platforms on one half, shipyard berths on the other half, and a massive inner refinery and material fabrication yard in the center. Possibly the core doubling as a place for refitting and repairs for really large ships, possibly just acting as a central hub for storage of raw and refined materials for use in fabricating new parts.

Any of you guys have any cool design ideas or something for a shipyard? Any jumps that sell a spaceship building yard other than hardspace shipbreaker, exalted, and possibly forerunners?

I don’t remember if it’s ever stated, but I’d imagine that the reason there’s thirteen Deathlords is that’s how many Solar ghosts the Neverborn could convince to sign up with them, meaning all the others refused or were good enough the Neverborn decided there was no point in trying.

That they even pulled out the Usurpation was a lot of luck too. There was still a lot of Gold Faction members that they needed to kill, and also Gods who needed to be forced to sit down and watch so they could cage the Solars. And they needed to do all of that while having plausible deniability.

I don't follow that and claim it as a form of purgatory. Butch was only responsible for pitching the idea, the art style and a few inputs. The rest and all of season one and two were done by a better writing team. He got them fired and tried to retcon everything when he took over writing in season three. All in a cash grab attempt. So I don't buy into what he claims. The original writers had plans to wrap up all the lose ends and have a good ending in season three. Butch tried to drag it out and nothing got resolved because he wanted more seasons like Fairy Odd Parents.

I was wondering if being a Deathlord or an Hecatonkheire, but I decided that I will sabotage Black Heron until I can convince the Neverborn to make me into her substitute, while using this to analyze their souls and study how to become an Onceborn. I will also inform the Walker that the one who killed him was Mask of Winters to sow dissent, and try to recruit their abyssals. when I manage to take the place of a deathlord ensure I catch the remnants of their soul before Meticulous Owl, both to have leverage on the lion if it is Princess, in exchange for the severed heads of the ministers and to ensure to extract what I want and then send it to oblivion. I will also try to destroy the Infinite prison, it's extremely difficult but maybe being inside it and finding someone to cast an absolute devastation, once or twice, since it can teleport before receiving too much damage, I will manage, and before it reform throw it into the oblivion or have it reforged into oblivion panoply, and discover Loras' purpose.

So this is a dumb question and I imagine mostly up to personal taste but in exalted-Divine bureaucracy what rank do you think a god would be by the end if they successfully completed the Terrestrial court? The same reason she didn't restore Yamamoto's arm despite Yhwach himself pointing out that she effortlessly could do so. Orihime's powers are so strong that, in the words of Aizen, they "trample into the domain of God" and were even able to restore the damaged Hogyoku and potentially erase it from existence if she were capable of mustering up enough desire and will to do so. The ONLY thing that Orihime's powers have ever been shown unable to affect is the Soul King himself and no power in the series, not even Yhwach's Almighty or the Hogyoku, are able to do that.

So the reason is that Orihime is kind of an idiot and isn't very ambitious with her powers. She's not a proactive person at all. So when somebody is injured in front of her she'll heal them. But she's not really sure exactly what her powers can and can't do so oftentimes she doesn't even bother trying. She's never restored anyone's powers prior to Ichigo in the TYBW because it never occurred to her to try and use her powers for anything other than undoing wounds and blocking attacks. In theory, given all of her feats, she should've easily been able to restore Uryu's powers, fix Yamamoto's arm, regress Komamura back into his original self, and restore the Bankai of all the Shinigami who had them stolen. But she never stops to really consider the potential of her own powers because, ironically very similarly to Ichigo, her own potential abilities don't seem to interest her that much and she's never really put a lot of thought or effort into them. It took all of her friends nearly dying against Aizen to make her want to try and get stronger. And even after just a couple of years of half-assed training she was so strong that Yhwach himself had to activate The Almighty to go around Shun Shun Rikka's barriers because even with the Soul King's residual reiryoku he couldn't batter them down with brute force.

I once did some work on a TMA based around manipulation of the anima. You could stretch it out to grab or manipulate things at range, harden it as a shield or a basic integrity charm, shape it into energy blades to do lethal attacks, etc. I fluffed it as being an outgrowth of basic essence exercises that most never realized were becoming a formal MA, so the 'style' was constantly being rediscovered and forgotten throughout history.

Beside that the limit would be multiple spouses being legal and acceptable. One purchase covers everything.

About the peak would be extending human lifespan by about 3x and aging quality of life by about 3x or adding Santa to that universe. If wanted the world would mostly look the same. Granblaise - and also Griscourt and Est - are currently slated for cameos in Spirits of Creation once I become an Incarnae and Quavinse becomes a thing properly, but the addition of, well, me to the timeline makes it effectively a universal reboot. So Messier Granblaise is going to be a Quasar Exalt with her own harem which will probably not include Noel/Makoto and also not be a villain anymore because the impetus that led to her hating them is no longer there.

Random thought but I wonder if it'd be possible through some ritual or process in exalted for a ghost to become a spirit. I know ancestor cults are a thing but thats not really the same. If there was a possibility going the route of Mortals>Despondent undead>Divine bureaucracy could be interesting. Ghosts are already spirits anon. If you mean ghosts that's a completely different thing, and yeah they can probably become gods maybe, although it's a bit weird since the main examples of mortals becoming ghosts is when they're still alive.

Yeah, no. Realistically she was probably terrified of them by the time the Jade Prison became a thing. Between her being an actual mortal and not any kind of half caste going up against fully fledged exalts instead of newly exalted children, her father probably demanding that she string them along for the sake of his business, and the great curse very slowly shifting them from thinking of her as a person they liked to a thing they wanted to own, she would have been very happy to see them go. There’s a reason one of her first thoughts in the Infernals jump is ‘keep those crazy bitches away from me’.

Mortals mandates a connection between the past selves of jumper/noel/makoto if you take Simple Soul 3, and Past Lives Matters in Infernals means that however you handled them, she hates. I’m happily married to them, so she wants nothing to do with them.

Only semi-related - if one of the maidens made a new sidereal charm, would all sidereals everywhere suddenly be able to learn it, or would they first need to know that it existed and possibly some form of instruction on it? Iirc one of the ways exalts learn charms by leaning on the memories of past wielders, and for a new charm that wouldn’t exist.

The property buys keep their upgrades. So you will need to improve your kingdom before moving it to a modern setting. Or import the old one into the new setting by taking the property buy there. For example, in DCEU you can buy a kingdom in power and size of Atlantis or Amazon land. You could wank it then to be more modern or more advanced. No idea how your people would react to all the new toys.

Makes sense.

The latter, probably. As I understand, Sids can create new charms, but because their Exaltations are tied to the Loom of Fate the use of a charm that the Loom doesn’t have installed in it will cause all kinds of problems, and the Maidens are the only ones who know how to update the Loom, unless you can get Autochthon in there to do it.

Are any Marvel mutants actually into being treated like shit for being a mutant? I figure probably not but you never know if there is the one fucking weirdo who likes you treating them like dirt.

>How's everything going at your end of the world?

Not bad. Managed to finish two essays in a day. Still have 2 projects to finish for next week, along with an early exam. Its a pain, but what can you do. Other than that spent an hour or two extracting extra oil from the car, since I apparently put in around .5 to .7 liters extra. It was a pain in the neck. That the recycling machine at the local mart I go to was busted, so had to walk extra to an almost full one.

All in all good. Waiting to finish my exams, help dad, and get my PC money.

God do I need to get back into watching anime. I have been on a Evangelion explained vids on Youtube.

They have all had their brains twisted to believing they are superior and can do whatever they want to normal humans. They are all orgy loving, mind raping assholes now. None can be redeemed. All must be purged.
>>
>>94754643
Dude genocides happen in plain fucking view. 'No more Mutants' is a thing that happened, Marvel comics actually commits to showing its characters be the victims of extreme racism unlike a lot of media these days.
>>
>>94754663
Nta, but mutants deserve most of it. They are monsters that will not make concession to work with humans. They all want to be in charge. How many telepaths just casually rewrite minds to make people do whatever they want. Hell, no one cared about the mind control monkey man until he took control of some X Men. He had some sort of hypnotic dick or something that made all women willing to do anything to get some. Then Prof X got upset because those were his women. They are so bad most jumpers avoid them.
>>
>>94754696
Most jumpers won't make concessions to work with even decent people, let alone Marvel humanity. Are you fucking stupid?
>>
>>94754634
So in theory if they made a charm, hooked it up, gave it to one person, and then didn’t tell anyone, it would take a while for other sidereals to realize it was there? Presumably someone would check and see it added at some point, but I don’t think that translates into them immediately knowing what it is or how to use it. And that’s assuming they don’t lock it to a single user somehow.
>>
>>94754741
Pretty much, yeah. I don’t think they could lock a charm to be usable by only one person, but if they don’t tell anyone and no one finds out the upgrade was installed (I’m sure the Maiden of Secrets could pull this off), then none of the other Sidereals would have any reason to think this new charm pattern would be all right.

I've read about the colleges of sorcery in exalted that are centered around cansting specialized forms of sorcery. How does that work? Is it pure philosophical fluff or something that can affect the casting, like theming my sorcery around gods Luna or Conky? I tried looking for the scroll of sorcery pdf but I can't find the damn thing.
>>
>>94754779
There are some highly specialized Charms called "absorptions" or something which give you bonuses based on the sorcery schools, but they very much aren't worth the effort to learn, so it's mostly all fluff.

So Necromancy in exalted apparently leads to destroying the world somehow. Is that just a hidden effect from the Neverborn, the essence type used or Neverborn outright commanding the undead you raise?

Do you think Orihime could (if she wanted to) utilize her Rejection to make boobs bigger?

>Is that just a hidden effect from the Neverborn, the essence type used or Neverborn outright commanding the undead you raise?
The answer is, bluntly, yes. Necromancy, like sorcery, sometimes operates by relying on the tacit support of outside forces (similar to how when you cast the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak with Marvel magic, you are actively calling upon the dimensional lord of the Crimson Cosmos to bind your enemies with restraints) such as what amounts to a teleportation spell that is a glorified trust fall where you cast yourself into the Maw of Oblivion and hope the Neverborn will grab your death and chuck it in first so instead you end up somewhere else. At the same time, necrotic Essence is, well, the literal essence of death. And on the third hand everything associated with the Underworld is fundamentally a jagged wound in reality-something even more explicit in 3e. You don't have to use necromancy to end the world or kill people slowly and painfully. But it's the natural course for it to take.

>>94754779
>Is it pure philosophical fluff or something that can affect the casting
It's both. It's a philosophical insight about how you interpret sorcery that also grants you a specific Charm that gives you unique benefits for working sorcery. The Yozis/Primordials go even further in that their baseline sorcerous initiations are skewed in favour of their themes, at the detriment of being unable to perform or emulate spells outside them, while Autochthon just set up his own alternative sorcery knockoff (the Protocols)

>>94754344
Pre-metaplot, it was a massive struggle until I went to Metal Gear Revengeance and, well, learned how to cut bullets out of the air mid-backflip. Then after Wakfu my Eliatrope history kinda filled in the rest.

Post-metaplot, the transition was seamless because I was already used to 18-dimensional kung fu and un-dimensioned wrestling.

I took one look at the precarious balance and decided even if free will did not destroy the world someday that the massive chain of corruption, chaos and suffering unleashed by sentient beings ALLOWED to choose service to the Dark One was completely unacceptable. To that end I made a mystical pact with (pre-metaplot)/completely subsumed (post-metaplot) Rand to take control of the strongest male channeler's magical power, and set out to acquire both Callandor and the Choedan Kal. When Lanfear stepped in to try to seduce me to the Dark One's service I turned the tables on her (and Graendal, and Moggy) with my own proposal to get out from under it's leash. I then proceeded to cast out the corruption placed on male channelling THEN subjugate the Aes Sedai anyway just to make a point, brutally tortured Padan Fain into subservience then forcefed him to Mashadar to use him as an attack dog to wipe out the uncooperative forces of the Dark One, and completely ignored Demandred and M'hael while unifying the land.

With the two most powerful living female channellers (and Moggy) and Callandor, I just straight up shanked Ishamael before he could play morality games with me and used the old mystic judo magical catherisation trick to completely annihilate and subsume the Dark One. I then proceeded to use the Dark One's power (which explicitly equals the Creator's) and the Choedan Kal to annihilate the Creator too.

The end result was the total annihilation of free will across all possible worlds in that reality except, ironically, for the Forsaken.

You'll make that one incredibly handsome Thrune knight form Hell's Rebels sad. Can't remember his name, only that he was just outrageously handsome, and iirc his most prized possession is a toy his sister game him when they were kids, which he still keeps on him at all times.
Also, if you're going to conquer Cheliax try to do so in as orderly a fashion as possible and see if you can get the less evil/retarded Hellknight orders to support you, like Scourge and Godclaw.

>Unnatural Selection [600cp] - Evidently, you spent time under the tutelage of Doctor Hazyeye. You fully memorized the procedure by which he modified animal cells, and then subjected them to extreme environments to artificially induce rapid evolution. With this knowledge, you can speed up and even direct the evolution of any living creature. You can make bats that emit a specific frequency, spiders the size of humans, etc. Creating new organisms like the Baoh parasite is well within your abilities.

There’s a nonzero chance that YG will use a variant of it to pull Granblaises life story out of the aether. Or, well, the loom. It kind of depends on whether I give her a copy or she gets her own version. Haven’t quite finished nailing down the rules and limitations.

Jumped it after Nobilis as an Excrucian. Shattered the Bore, ripped out the heart of the Dark One and built a Mimic from the corpse. Everyone lost their free will for a few hours, but everyone think it's the work of the Dark One being nearly free.

Then I made my own omnicidal dark cult, empowered with Void magic, and made it compete against the Forsakens and the Dark Friends.

I also started an undead apocalypse in Seanchan territory, using the dead Dreadlords from the Trolloc Wars, resurrected as Liches and taught some DnD necromancy. The Seanchan invasion is actually the fucking slavers running for their lives.

I might also have unleashed a mindflayer infestation somewhere

>some random giant/dragon/other powerful monster (because of course that's an option)
>Tar-Baphon/the Whispering Way (you probably left a lot of corpses out in the open, it's free real estate for him to open a second front behind the defenders)
>Oprak (Do you like hobgoblins? If yes, you love this, if no, you hate this)
>a random Spawn of Rovagug (this is entirely up to RNG if it even happens, reload the save if it does - remember, The Tarrasque is a MID-tier Spawn)

I need to actually read through the sidereal charms to figure out what kind of scale I should be working with, but the charm is both part of Venus’s ever escalating birthday gifts to Messier and probably the source of the Sidereal fuckery for years 8 and 9. Because I can’t put YG and a diary that tells the future in the same room without at least one survival game now can I?

Mind you, YG having a Messier Disry, while something she would love, is not conductive to learning Granblaises backstory as mentioned earlier, so there’s probably going to be a bit of theft in their as well so that she can have more than one.

She may be an insane butcher, but I'm not and have notions of honor and romance. So I want to be at least moderately better than a caveman. Here's my ten-step plan for seducing Unohana.
>Step 1: Declare my intentions to her (with gifts and flowers)
>Step 2: Challenge her to a duel for the sake of going out with her
>Step 3: Violent bloody battle that may or may not wreck a noticeable percentage of the Seireitei's infrastructure and ends with her so cut up and defeated that she may or may not be a nugget
>Step 4: Restore her health and remind her of the duel's terms
>Step 5: Loving romantic date that psychomilf
>Step 6: Repeat steps 2-5 for a period of 3 to 6 months (courtship rituals)
>Step 7: Challenge her to a wedding duel (she kills me she wins, I have to fight her until she concedes of her own will)
>Step 8: Fight her for possibly several days at a time, allowing her to heal and continue attacking me while I never go for a kill shot but still give almost as good as I get, until she FINALLY concedes

Lets be honest, Isger is not going to capitalize on shit. They're a Chelish colony in a bad situation only propped up because Cheliax, The Hellknights, Andoran, and Druma all agreed to keep it a "nuetral" zone for the purposes of all three wanting a satellite state and to keep the goblins that teem out of the Chitterwood under control.
The moment Cheliax falls, that place is going to either get carved up like a turkey, or its Andoran is just going to steamroll through it on their way to get their pound of flesh out of Cheliax.
Also, if Chelaix and the Asmodaean church falls, You're going to have a lot of Isgeri orphans grow up to be pissed off at you removing the only organization that helped them in the wake of the Goblinblood wars, so expect them to form a potentially dangerous restorationist activist/political/terrorist group.

I used the Bing one, and while its a bitch and a half to try and make something that isn't immediate kiboshed by the program's in-built filters, as long as I use prompts consisting of short and concise words and sentences, it tends to give me something nice and usable within at least4-6 attempts, depending on how much i keep adding to it. Though again that also depends on what you're trying to make with it. Trying to kitbash your own fantasy race? Not happening period (learned that the hard way), and it also doesn't like working with anything that isn't either a human, animals, or popular mythological creature.
Though again, this is the Bing generator that you can use freely if you have literally any microsoft account. I know nothing of how to get the actually good and extensive image generators to work, and I don't want to bother scrolling through all the jargon found in the /trash/ Stable Diffusion general pastebins to learn how to do actual AI art.

>corrupt the Sunwell with mamono mana
How big a shakeup this is depends on when you do it. For instance, if you sneak in and do it during Warcraft 1, the High Elves will get corrupted all at once, but all humanity will notice at first is "hey, does anyone else think they're acting weirdly nice?" By the time everyone realizes what's going on, Dalaran will be fully corrupted, too. Assuming the First War ends as it did in canon, Turalyon, Rhonin, and Nathanos will all be Incubi by the end of the Second War, and much of the Horde will be monsterized by that point, too. The Death Knights might be the first to turn, which will make problems for Gul'dan, who might ditch the Horde for the Tomb of Sargeras even faster.

If you instead wait to do it right before Warcraft 3, but Arthas makes his way onto Quel'Danas anyway, the Kel'thuzad he resurrects may be anything but what he was hoping for.

If you wait until WoW to do it, it'll replace the Lich King's corruption with its own, and if Kael'thas tries to summon Kil'jaeden through it, it'll corrupt Kil'jaeden, too. Which might get very interesting if the PCs still banish ol' KJ back to the Nether (and thus to Argus), because now you've got mamono mana eating all the other corruptions on Argus and making more of itself. This includes all the Death energy the Dreadlords have been pumping into it, so congratulations on messing up the Jailer's plans. Also, things on Azeroth speed up if some of that mamono mana gets out into the wider ley lines before Malygos kicks off the Nexus War, because that means the Blue Dragonflight is getting blasted with it, including their eggs, with Malygos himself taking the most direct blast. You can imagine how things go off the rails from there.

>More like what if I corrupted the Sunwell with Mamono Energy? Would Male Elves become females?
Probably.

>What if I used Godslave and Goddess of the Elves on Elune?

I don't know what that is and we don't really know what Elune is yet beyond being the only 'actual' confirmed deity in setting.

>What's the best way to genocide orcs? Hordes of Hollows or good old plague and starvation?

I am morally and contractually obligated to advise against this, but will answer nonetheless. Depends on the time period. If it's pre-Kalimdor Third War, post-Dark Portal, then using a ritual bloodline curse on Mannoroth would wipe out most orcs on both Azeroth and Draenor. The surviving orcs can then be hunted down conventionally with military action against the Frostwolves. Draenor is a self-solving problem if you're willing to let the other residents of Draenor suffer for the Orcs hubris. If not, you'll have to invade.

Honestly, it just might. The survival game is already precognitive tag where person 1 sees person 2 take route A to go to work so they plant a bomb on route A, but person 2 sees that bomb so they take route B instead. Doing this but everyone involved has avoidance kata and can just say nuh uh to a good portion of circumstances means that actually killing anyone will be exceptionally difficult. Bystanders are at far worse risk than any other diary holder.

Actually I’d been planning for echo to exalt as a sidereal at some point, that might be a good time. Someone tries to kill her for leverage and then surprise your hostage just got your powers but better.
>>
>>94755712
>nuke the Shadowlands with Excrucian abilities
Death stops working properly for a hot second. I can't tell you much more than this. This is not because I don't know the lore, but because we do not yet know whether or not the First Ones are still paying attention to their creations. If they are, they might take offense to you breaking their systems, and remember that these are the Bigger Batman of every single Cosmic Force. The Titans, the Eternal Ones, the Life pantheon that Elune is part of apparently, the Void Lords (who are in turn the Bigger Old Gods), whatever super-Demons Sargeras overthrew to become the big boss of Disorder, and the Prime Naaru (or whatever's bigger than them in the Light)? The First Ones are their creators/bosses/???. If you can take them, great. If you can't, ouch.

Now, replacing the Shadowlands with your Corpse-Tomb does mean the souls and Anima of every mortal creature that dies, ever, on any planet, is getting shunted into your Corpse-Tomb, assuming you didn't also break the subsystems that allow souls and Anima to leave the material realm at all. Which you might have. Be careful with those.

Assuming its normal Colossal and not Colossal+, iirc Colossal minimum height is 62ft. So roughly you're going to be swinging around a Greatsword the roughly the size of a Megalodon, or if you like baseball the distance between the home place and pitcher's mound

There is another obvious choice, of course. But the fact that YJ never actually finished the “become Jyggalag” scenario vaguely weighs on my mind.

Reminder: asking questions on the internet MIGHT get you an answer, maybe.

Being WRONG on the internet will get dozens or hundreds of people crawling out of the woodworks to tell you just how wrong you are, with sources to back it up.

None of these people know what they're talking about. It was stated multiple times that the true power of the Sharingan only comes out with both eyes. This is most evident with Kamui, where it literally gets twice as fast with both eyes.

Well, before they even get to the Dark Continent Hisoka is first gonna have to kill the entire Phantom Troupe except Chrollo who will become the Joker from being so pissed off that all his friends are dead, get King Crimson from Tserreidnich and then probably get more power ups on the Dark Continent to become the main villain. Plus Kurapika is protecc a baby.

I wanted to get away from low effort animeslop that forces harem into every single series so I went in the village and all I saw were herds and flocks of mostly females and one or two males watching over and fucking them. Fucking hell, haremtards have penetrated every faces of society.

>Celestial TV

Far away from Gem, in the center of creation, there is an island. This island is where the Scarlet Dynasty rules over the world as they try to defend it from fae, demon, and ghost, and vilify the Anathema. Far above them, there is another island made in duplicate. Yu Shan, the court of heaven, where the gods reside.

It is, without a doubt, the largest bastion of corruption and bribery in all the lands. Even Gem, whose laws fluctuate on a daily basis with the eb and flow of who can afford to bribe the Despot the most, is not quite so bad. On this day, however, a minimal amount of work is being done. There are some low ranking gods onto whom paperwork has been shoved, but a number of gods are throwing parties, and anyone who could afford to take the day off has done so.

In one of those parties, a pool of divination has been set up and tuned to the life and times of one particular mortal. She had been investigated by the sidereals for various things, and those who had read her case had deemed her interesting enough to continue watching even after the sidereals jurisdiction had effectively ended. The woman's life had, for all intents and purposes, been turned into a drama. A small handful of minor gods arranged for things to be more exciting than they ought, while cutting out the boring bits and adding music at suitably thrilling moments, as if watching her life was like watching a play.

Surely, if the woman knew she would be outraged at the breach of privacy between her and her lover and their other friends, but that required the opinion of a mere mortal to actually matter to the gods of Yu Shan. In theory the sidereal might complain and interject, but the only sidereal who had any claim on the woman denied all involvement for the trouble she'd unknowingly caused him. She hadn't been the only one investigated after all.

And so it was, on the seventh of Ascending Fire, did many gods gather before the viewing pool to witness an epic clash for the ages, in which the woman and her circle did battle against one of the dreaded Abyssals and the army of dead bandits that he had converted into ghosts, zombies, and other creatures most foul in order to steal the entirety of the city of Gem for himself. For hours, the gods ooh'd and ah'd as the woman danced through the battlefield, as the heavy axe and subtle knife of her half caste lover flashed in her wake. As the childish Solar pulled forth tool after tool and invention after invention. As the renegade Deathknight fought for her only chance of normality against her own kind. As the brave mortals of both the city and the woman's retinue brought forth all they were worth for the sake of their lives.

Slowly, surely, the foes fell and the battle ended. The heroine's circle retreated and regrouped to nurse their wounds and plan for how to get away with this fight, to not be betrayed for being too strong or put down like dogs by the wild hunt. In that moment, many of the gods loosen their belts. The half caste's habits were well known by this point, and her hands wandered throughout the meeting, bits and pieces of both her clothing and her targets drifting to the ground as they enjoyed their bodies. Because as interesting as her life was, she was quite possibly the most beautiful mortal in creation, and no man could resist two women going at it like that. Even the female gods were not entirely immune.

By complete chance, someone passed by and heard the lewd noises. The schlucks and plaps, the glacks and shcliks. And, being a goddess of the court of serenity, investigated. And thus was Venus, maiden of serenity, introduced to a new pastime, the stalking of a young mortal who had the potential to be exceptionally, mhm, serene. She watched. Witnessed. And eventually came to a decision.

For the joy she had brought to Yu Shan, and perhaps as an apology for the boorish behavior of the gods, she would be sent something small, as a reward for good work. Especially that thing she'd done with her tongue to the half caste sidereal, that had looked fun. A package was quickly assembled and sent off, and Venus paused. Had she seen this girl before somewhere? She had been investigated, but Venus hadn't been part of that investigation so that probably wasn't it.

"...Bother. That's going to irritate me, isn't it? Where have I seen those tits before?"

YG paced nervously. Finding out that her lover's birthday was two days ago was not how she’d expected her week to go, but she’d managed to draft Echo into forcing Messier to take days off in preparation for throwing at least a small party. Then she’d had to scramble to get a gift. Getting Messier a gift was hard. She was rich. She could buy anything she wanted. YG was half tempted to wrap herself up and call that her present, but that was likely to get her love to scold her for being excessive in front of Noel. And also wasn’t all that special, given how often they went at it.

That cut out a great deal of possible options. Can’t be herself, can’t be something bought. Could potentially be something bartered for, but that ran into the same issues as buying things because Messier had a looot of political capital in Gem right now. What to get, what to get, what to get?
>>
>>94757509
…She could give Messier her knife? For like, a week? She was kind of always asking her not to stab people for looking at her for too long after all, that was supposedly just an indication of good taste. It was when they tried to make a move that she was allowed to get stabby. A week of not having to ask her that would be good, right? Or maybe a month? No, a month was too much. She also couldn’t promise no violence at all during such a period, one of her siblings would undoubtedly try to take advantage of that.

Okay! Her knife for a week, that was going to be her present to Messier!

- - - - -

I stared blandly up at YG as she shifted in place, blushing faintly.

“...Why is Miss Yig giving big sis her knife only for a week? If she was going to give you her knife, shouldn’t you get to keep it?”

Noel has a deeply confused look on her face. And also frosting from the cake. The thought of a present she doesn’t get to keep is probably a bit weird for her. Her own present of a small clockwork bird with some recorded birdsong was impressive, especially given that she’d apparently only started work on it a few days ago.

“It’s something of a joke, more than an actual present. I get what she’s trying to do though, and it is sweet.”

Noel shrugs even as YG slumps in relief that I liked it. Not that asking her not to do things was a trial per say, but it was something I could take my mind off of for a little while at least. Make things slightly easier.

“What about this one?”

Despite nominally being the only ones invited to my party - or rather, the only ones who knew I was having a party, because they’d decided on such a thing on their own accord - there is in fact a third present. Or a fourth, if you consider the bottle of apple wine that Echo had pulled out of the cold room for me. I would imagine that I did technically pay for it, or had it written off, but her grabbing it without being asked is at least mildly thoughtful and appropriate enough.

Regardless, the additional present is a small chest - or a large jewelry box, depending on your perspective. It has a singular bow slapped on top of it and my name engraved on a plate, so clearly it is in fact someones present to me, but quite frankly I have no idea who. YG pulls it over to me and Noel makes encouraging noises for me to open it, so I obey. They both not-so-subtly lean over to look into it as I do.

“...This is from your father isn’t it.”
“Um. Not that I’m aware? Why would you say that?”
“I can’t think of anyone else who would send me anything made of starmetal.”
“That's. Fair. I think?”
“Miss Yig? Big sis? What are they?”

I look over at Noel. Noel who has yet another confused look on her face. A confused look on her face at the chest full of starmetal sex toys that YG’s father has sent me. Yes, such a subtle message. I’m aware you don’t approve of me, jackass.

“An insult.”
“Oh.”

YG winces but makes noises of agreement when Noel looks towards her for confirmation.

“If nothing else the metal is valuable I suppose.”

- - - - -

“Oh, you got it to her a few days after her birthday? That’s great timing!”

“She… didn’t like it? Whyever not?”

“I suppose I did forget to sign it, so that’s understandable. I didn’t realize he felt that way.”

“I’ll just have to send her something better next year I suppose.”

Okay dumb ass thought of a jumper taking a set of metaphysics where belief= Reality to a degree where the more people believe something the more real it is. And having him making make first contact with alien kind. Blowing up big on the galactic internet to the degree that aliens end up thinking humans can just do the things Jumper can do like flying or magic. and therefore... well kind of making it reality.
That feels like it'd be a fun time on both sides of the human-alien side.

Ran out of words in that post - Behold, the beginning of Venus's escalating gifts. Because Messier thought it was YG's dad telling her to go fuck herself.

Also, ngl, "Where have I seen those tits before" makes me crack up for some reason. It makes sense in context, and it is a goddess of sex saying it, but still. It feels inherently silly.
