>edh players hate it because not multiplayer
>60 card players hate it because le commander
It's just so tiresome that the very best format in the game is so unplayed. The best we have is historic brawl which is essentially online-only has a nonexistent ban list meanwhile the DC banlist is actually great and thoughtful. My only complaint might be that it has 20 life instead of bumping to 25 to better suit the idea of a longer game, and of course that no one fucking plays it outside of the slop which is MTGO.

What do you think anon? Do people at your LGS play this? Would you play if more people did?

I'm a 60-card player that got introduced to it after they put it back on MTGO last year, this format is everything I ever wanted out of cEDH without the negatives (multiplayer and having a banlist based on casual play).
Been playing mostly Mono Red Aggro (Norin/Feldon) and Ghyrson Burn but I'm a Combo player at heart so I'm looking and experimenting different Naya commanders (Rocco, Minsc, Marath) to see which one clicks with me.

Unfortunately I am a MTGO-only player, can't really talk about the paper experience, but I'm loving the format nonetheless and I'm happy it's growing both in paper and online.

Canadian Highlander is better

Where I live its the most played format outside of Casual EDH. 60 card formats are a rarity, with the most common being pauper.

There is another way to play it that's not arena but it comes with a big caveat you have to be french

this, I wish it was on mtgo

Here too, although Standard and Pioneer are more popular than Pauper

60 card singleton is my something I wish was popular. Still a kitchen table feel, but somewhat tuned.

This, I will never play a format with 100 card decks that nobody can even shuffle
>>
>>94793104
we kinda had that with standard brawl but they made it weird by making you run a commander and restricting the card pool

60 card singleton is 7 Pint Highlander or Australian Highlander
100 card singleton is Canadian Highlander
Commander is commander
1v1 Commander is dual commander

I wish cedh had a real banlist like this format does

Standard Brawl had potential but they fucked it up by not supporting it.

the point system is kinda weird tho

Playing commander is the mtg equivalent of eating shit.
Playing duel commander is the equivalent of eating shit AND telling other people about it.

You get 10 points and can pick as many pointed cards as long as they are equal or less than 10.
A member of the committee and a former member are part of LRR and they just did a video about the point change if you want to understand it more
