What are some jumps where it's actually feasible to start as a nobody with the local power system and work your way to the top? Other than vidya and tabletop RPG jumps since that's usually the default.

>captcha: JJK
Nah.
>>
>>94806333
With or without perks in the jump? With I'd say Bleach.
>>
>>94806333
Pick a jump with a gamer system.
>>
>>94806339
Without. Other than basic access to the system and at most average talent. Fiat can do anything.

Any real world style jumps. Everyone are normal humans and it just becomes how hard you work and who you know.

Just letting you know the Meruem option is kinda nerfed in the sense that Meruem's precognition thing he got from playing Gungi with Komugi isn't in there, as it's a perk. You could still gain the same ability without taking the perk by playing Gungi with Komugi if you're a Chimera Ant King.

Dragon Ball.
HxH.
JoJo (get the beetle arrow)
>>
>>94806366

>>
>>94806333
Pokemon, its all about catching and training up the right pokemon, building up your bond and using them effectively, you're innate talent for special abilities can be a nice bonus, but its not what its about.
>>
>>94806360
>>94806363
t. knows nothing about sports science

To get to the top in any athletic field, you need to be a genetic freak. Or you can just be fucked over, too. A 5'1" manlet is never going to become a basketball legend.
>>
>>94806333
Harry Potter. the whole point is to attend magic school.
If learning magic isn't enough motivation to pay attention in class the problem is on you.
>>
>>94806370
>HxH.
Don't you need absurd talent just to learn the basics, and even the "normal" people we see are like 1-in-a-million prodigies? And even then, they're shit out of luck against the 1-in-a-billion prodigies? NTA.
>>
>>94806366
... You do realize that that was just him getting really good at strategy and being an anime supergenius, right?
>>
>>94806370
a nobody cant really succeed in Dragonbll.
The baseline before you can even start learning to use Ki is being superhumanly powerful.

In HxH you're also kinda hardcapped by your own potential, a nobody is never gonna be able to reach the same heights as Gon and Killua are.

At best you can come up with an elaborate Hatsu with a Nieche ability and figure out how to use it effectively.
>>
>>94806366
How strong freecs of nature makes you? I ask because it's really inconsistent, with in one chapter Gon managing to break Illumi's arm and in the next being far weaker than a random janitor of the Zoldycks.
>>
>>94806396
Nta but be a bit smart, it's really enough, thanks to the dragon ball it's hilariously easy to become the strongest.
>>
>>94806396
>The baseline before you can even start learning to use Ki is being superhumanly powerful.
You just need Ki to be explained properly. Ki use is a pretty universal thing in a couple of future continuities. Specifically Dragonball Online and Dragonball Xenoverse

Keep in mind that the Dragon Balls are seven small objects scattered across the entire world, which spend a decent amount of time as random rocks, which always have powerful people after them, AND which require specialized radars made by literal supergeniuses to find

Again, don't be dumb, don't search them normally, use the protagonists, trick them, cajole them, there are multiple situations where the right knowledge gives you perfect occasions, and after having used them once or twice it's easy to not have similar problems anymore.
>>
>>94806391
He just wants attention.
>>
>>94806404
not sure thats possible for a nobody, even assumign you somehow find them(which is essentially impossible without a radar, but lets assume you stole them from someone who collected them like Pilaf) I dont think we ever see a straight forward wish for power, its always stuff like "unlock my potential", "give me the gains as if I had trained my immortal lifespan" or even "restore my energy".
I am not sure if just straight up giving a mortal a power boost is on the table.
>>94806406
neither of those are canon and both are video games, going direct against anons prompt.
In Canon dragonball we clearly see that a baseline physical state is required, with even the weakest people we see that pick up ki like Krillin, Yamcha and Videl being essentially superhumans.
In Super we even see that Tien trying to teach ki to a bunch of regular martial artist at his dojo doesen't produce any results.
>>
>>94806396
>In HxH you're also kinda hardcapped by your own potential
Netero's whole thing was that he broke his own potential ceiling by Might Guy'ing it up. Sure he had a ton of potential already but the fact he exceeded it shows it's not a true cap.

What do you think of this hatsu?
>King's man: king's curse
>It animates a nen beast built manually by the user, wich will fight, always standing in front of the user and never watching behind itself, where it has a weak point, if it is killed it will curse the opponent with a parasitic nen that in moment where his emotions are high will feed on them to manifest its robust armor over them, when, after 5 times, it finish the victim will be manipulated into becoming a new king's man. The curse can be interrupted by removing a limb or the head, since only when all those parts are covered the effect activates.

>>
>>94806432
Wish "I wish I had absolute control over Gero's mind" after that make Gero rebuild you, and after that you're pretty much golden, you have the power to steal them repeatedly for wishes like immortality, or controlling Zuno to make him tell you where everything you want is.
>with even the weakest people we see that pick up ki like Krillin, Yamcha
Nta, but Krillin is called out to be a ridiculous prodigy in the original dragon ball, who surpassed Roshi, the strongest human of his time, while only being a kid. Moreover even Chiaotsu, who isn't fit, knows ki.
>>
>>94806426
Cool. Tell me how you're going to find the protagonists? Keep in mind that the only protagonist with a stable home in one of the cities is Bulma, the rich supergenius

That... doesn't change the fact that both games were mostly written by Toriyama, who outright approved Ki being that accessible.

A tournament that happens after the first time the dragonballs are found and wished on, which happens on a random island.

>Bulma's Home
I specifically mentioned that

That gets destroyed early on during the first search and the Ox King literally tries to murder anyone that shows up while it's still on fire. It's also a small and little known kingdom consisting entirely of a single very small mountain and a small village

Toriyama had complete supervision of the game's story, locations, characters, and techniques. He quite literally had to approve everything or it wouldn't have been in the game

He also did character designs for it for a few years and helped with the story
>>
>>94806440
More than happy to talk with you Psycho. Also glad to hear the jump is going well.
>>
>>94806441
generally a cool idea, but it seems kinda random that the first king's man is a nen construst, while the folowing ones are former enemies. I feel like there hsould be something to differentiate them.

Also I feel like there should be a time limit on how quickly the trasformation has to complete before you get stuck as a king's man. like it would feel weird if it still happens even if you temper your emotions and only manifest it 5 times in several years.
>>
>>94806536
If Frieza gets exponentially more powerful when he actually exerts himself to train, given that he got Golden Form from one push-up, doesn't that mean his bench is hypothetically infinite?
>>
>>94806388
Not really. Gon is a 'genius' with insane potential, but he never even gets close to the level of people who are 'average' but lived longer than him and accumulated decades of experience.
>>
>>94806388
Nope, you just need a teacher. Or to spend a bunch of time meditating. Or to be lucky enough to survive being attacked by a Nen user, like everyone above floor 200 in the Tower of Heaven.

Learning Nen isn't particularly difficult, it's just straight up illegal to teach it to non-hunters.
>>
>>94806574
He didn't literally get it. That's a joke DB fans make because in 4 months he went from Frieza saga level to above BoG Goku. He went on to train for ten years in a time chamber and become black.
>>
>>94806609
*Didn't literally get it in one push-up
>>
>>94806490
nta, and pure speculation on my part, but I am not sure everyone he tried to upgrade survived.

Like I could see him agreeing, but I am not sure if he would care to care about your survival compared to potential power it could give.
>>
>>94806572
Thank you, I was recently caught by the inspiration to convert monsters in KD:M into nen abilities, I based the "strong emotions" clause because in KD:M the curse progresses after every fight, but defining fight in a context different from a game seemed to me a bit exploitable. About the difference between the construct and the successive I would imagine they mantain their appearance under their armor, despite the trasformation, to better unnerve the opponent. BTW the weakpoint behind their back is based too on the game, where they have that weakness because they march in front of the king, wich is so horrifing they never thought they would have to fear an attack from someone there, wich would be pretty appropriate for a chimera ant king.
>>
>>94806566

>>
Can a Robot have Nen?
>>
>>94806674
Not normally. It's life energy and robots aren't alive.
>>
>>94806674
Possibly! Nen doesn't actually technically need a thing to be living, and I'm rather dubious as to whether Golem is a living being or not
>>
>>94806674
If someone infused it into it.
>>
>>94806674
Like, you can definitely infuse Nen into a robot to give it powers. You could also definitely make a robot with a Hatsu. It's also possible for a Hatsu to persist and even become stronger after it's creator's death

So it is definitely theoretically possible for a robot to be an independent being with Nen. It's rather unlikely though

do you think starting to like your hatsu condition would cause the buff effect it has to weaken?
Like imagine jumper makes a hatsu that every time after he uses his hatsu he has to smoke a cigarette, despite passionately hating smoking, which should net him a decent buff, but then as he starts using it regularly the actual act would start bothering him less and less.

>>

I feel like at least when establishing a limiation/vow your values would play a role.

I really don't know where to go with my Jumper and his companion, up till this point the chain has been mostly mundane, if not the jumps they've went to then their builds have kept them mostly to that point but I don't know if I want to start pushing them into the more out-there/stronger jumps or even if I did what jumps I should do to ease them into this or in the case of my companion, where to take them build wise since they fulfill their hacker niche pretty perfectly to the point that I don't think further going down that route with additional perks would really help them out more than what they've already got. I'm stumped on what to do right now.

you could take them into higher settings where they could use their abillities effectively, but without importing them and just stick with what they have.

Like plenty of superhero settings show relatively mundane hackers(as in holywood hacking, not scifi hacking) being essential, and you could stick to the lower power ones.

Honestly, not my problem. I'm stupid, does picking up a discount on Imaginary Power take all of your perk discounts, a discount of the equivalent price to whatever level of Imaginary Power you take, or any discount period?

The item section says 100 IP perks are free again instead of 100 IP items.

Well time for a meme build.

Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends
+1000
Origin
>Adult
Perks
>Housekeeping - Free
>So Cool and Hot - 100
>Foster Parent - 300
>Fun Loving - 100
Items
>“When did you get jobsss?” - Free
>Mansion - 300
Companions
>Create x8 - 200

So I live in my mansion with eight imaginary friends that I haven't decided on which expies to make them into.
All in all a standard meme build that is pretty boring.

I am probably going to make one of the eight companions a porn frankie expy.
But other than that I was thinking maybe a bunch of street fighter imaginary friends since I don't particularly like the way the jump for that is set up. So I can grab all the people I would usually get there as combat imaginary friends.

Personally, I'd probably get my own imaginary friend I had as a kid as a companion. He was a giant frilled lizard, but his frills were made of leaves and he would leap from tree to tree to follow the family car and he could use use his big leaf frill to fly

Vergil wishes he was even a hundredth as cool, handsome, and objectively morally correct as Knives is. Knives is staging what is effectively a slave rebellion and trying to exterminate humanity in retaliation for all the suffering they've knowingly inflicted onto the Plants. Like you can't even claim that the guy's wrong for doing it, it's just that his methods are kind of unscrupulous and he's fed up with Vash being a wishy-washy apologist so he emotionally abuses him every chance he gets.

Owl used a ritual and a truly staggering amount of magical energy to make it snow in the Boston area of Fallout 4. The snow has a side effect of neutralizing radiation because, thanks to that hot spot from the nuke just outside the city, otherwise it would have just resulted in spreading even more radiation through the snow.
The fact it's December and he has his kobolds out delivering toys to children has absolutely nothing to do with the snow ritual at all. And he's insulted you would insinuate otherwise.

Unnamed Shipgirl Commander is currently running around in a submarine mecha showing the uppity Shipgirls under his command that he's not just a paper pusher by sinking several enemy "ships" during practice drills.

Crossroads Jumper is starting things off in the danger zone by heading to Control (Alan Wake + SCP) and is the new Parapsychologist for the secondary location for the FBC. The Redwood Bureau focuses on humanoid AWEs that require more than just a prison cell to keep their powers from going out of control. Currently he's in the middle of a lockdown event because this skullheaded wolfwoman creature has invaded his personal computer and is starting to crawl out of it.

Geneforge for magic, Crackdown or that one DC jump we have where Superman only has a year to live for science. Also in DC is The Citadel which has massive cloning facilities. Their entire species are literally just clones of one guy, however it's worth mentioning there's flaws in the process and over thousands of years it caused mental degradation to the point that Citadelians require cybernetics to have genuine independent intelligence anymore. There's also that one empire in Endless Space where the entire group is literally just clones of the guy who found a progenitor cloning facility.

Having not actually read WaHH, is Kasen an oni who became a hermit, or just an oni pretending to be a hermit? I know she's big dick either way, being one of the Sages (even if Yukari basically does all of the heavy lifting for them).
>>
>>94807890
So, the solaroids will be the doms (solars the vanilla flavor, abyssals the bdsm flavor, and infernals the tentacle monster flavor), Lunars the bottom subs, Siderals the sexual morality togglers, and DBs the gutter sluts?
>>
>>94807778
If you're actually doing a lewd Exalted thing, how do you plan on doing it? Just a Supplement, or a full Jump? How much detail on each Exalt type?
>>
>>94808000
Hermits are both a race and a job, sorta. Kasen is an oni who is living as a hermit, but hasn't actually become a racial hermit. It's a lot like how magicians are both a kind of youkai and something anyone can be by learning magic. Touhou is internally contradictory like that.
>>
>>94808001
Infernals are also subs. They're by definition failures who jobbed and got gangraped by Akuma/Demon/Yozi cock.
>>
>>94807890
Wait, you're making a Horny Exalted jump? That sounds like a lot of fun (and it would also let me grab the last caste of Solar I need to complete the set).

How horny are we talking?
>>
>>94808000
I believe she's a oni pretending to be a hermit moreso then a legitimate hermit. If only because she doesn't seem be that knowledgeable about it and hermit ways. Kasen is indeed a big deal regardless though. A lot of the hermit origin does come off as more onish then some kind of taoist though as a result.
>>
>>94808011
>Infernals are the mindbroken magical girls that follow the tencla monster for more dickings
HOT!
>>
>>94808009
Magicians are a race, it's just that some Magicians are born (Patchouli) while others become Magicians by removing their needs to eat, drink, sleep, and age via their magic (Alice, Byakuren, almost but not quite Marisa). Basically, Magicianhood is what happens when you magic so hard you stop being human anymore (unless you weren't human in the first place).
>>
>>94807973
It doesn't matter if we have more exalted jumps than we should, dupes are allowed. it's not like some troll is spamming the drive with AI generated jumps or something (yet). And "everything is just something exalts could already do" is a stupid complaint that doesn't actually mean anything. Also I don't care if it uses fan content, if someone is autistic enough to write a whole ass fanfic about that trash fire of a setting all the power to them, probably still better writing than white wolf.

Going by published charms, it's as much the Exalted of Rape as it is the Exalted of BDSM or Necrophilia. Legitimately no idea what was going through the devs' heads when they saw the Solar seduction charms and went 'hmm yes the mirror NEEDS to lose the magical consent factor'.

>>
>>94807998
Lack of interest in doing the extra work would be the most likely reason.

>>94808001
It's probably better to treat each Exalt type like they're the protagonist of whatever story they're in and emphasize their strengths, although I can see Lunars having at least one perk specifically about being a Solar's waifu. The real question is do the breeding perks go to Dragonbloods (because duh) or Lunars (because beastmen).

>>94808006
Supplement probably. Maybe a single perk line per exalt type since the original jump will supply all the stuff that's important to surviving Creation. Probably call it the Scroll of Swallowed Darkness Supplement.

The Ebon Dragon has a Charm called Victory in Defeat that lets him accede to external influence in exchange for removing a Willpower from his attacker and regaining one himself (and also inflicting Limit on the attacker if they have a Limit track of any kind), as long as the influence explicitly inflicts actual harm to him, something he values, or compels him to act against his own interests. Wicked Void Reversal also specifies that one of the things that keeps him going is fantasies of becoming the Solars' captor.

He is a degenerate switch who has preemptively calculated the scenario in which he is being choked out in a blind rage and has specialised in power bottoming to await the opportunity where he can regain the pants in the relationship again.

>kult awake humans
Humans with 10x stats and some minor magic.

>Lovecraftian gods
The ones literally from Lovecraft are big aliens. They die horribly to anything on this list, except the really strong ones who probably can't be hurt but can't fight back either.
>>
>>94808059
The outer gods are at the top, the great old ones are at the bottom. Kult awake humans are above archmages because they get what would be a bunch of different archmaster arcana dots just for free and the big deal exalted spirits are above the great old ones because their hax is better.
>>

You know what, now that I think about it, brutal rape is probably a close analogue for how the First Age Solars ripped open their tomb-bodies to plunder the spirits of necromancy the first time around. So maybe they're on the sidelines hoping to watch some Celestial Exalt know what it feels like.

That's Awakened Humans. They can't do anything with their power except squat in Metropolis and wait for the illusion to fall. So much for their vaunted control over time: they can only travel through the fake time of the illusion, not real time.

>>94808101
There are tombs for humans who died for real in Metropolis.

I know vanishingly little about Exalted or KULT, but my understanding is that
>Lovecraftian Mythos says that the Enlightenment values of logic and reason banishing the shadows of superstition is a foolish notion: It is a mere flickering candle held up against an infinite dark abyss of horror and madness that utterly abhors it, and human knowledge is a tiny island awash in that great black sea from which we were not meant to venture far
>oWoD says fuck that, Enlightenment-- true Enlightenment-- gives humanity ultimate mastery over the nature of reality itself and ascension to a higher realm, where Archmagi can fight as peers against the Things that lurk in the Outer Dark
>KULT says lol, lmao, reality is an illusion, and by Awakening, you can master that illusion-- everyone is God, and God is gratuitous rape

>Jobs to a scienchad with empirical reason
Legitimately science in wod is just more magecraft, the most dominant form of magecraft
>>
>>94808101
There is something called a "true death" that they can apparently experience, but it's apparently very rare and is not at all represented mechanically so it seems to be an extremely nonstandard interaction. The name is kind of misleading, but accurate from the perspective of mortals. All it does is cause them to go still and get taken away by Metropolis' local psychopomp to their designated tomb, and just sort of stay still until the end of time...at which point they apparently wake up and go back to business unless you're dealing with an Awakened focused on you enough to go back in time and keep fucking with you, I guess? Assuming the Demiurge was a very big Awakaned Human, this may or may not have happened to him.

>>94808107
>They can't do anything with their power
They've been repeatedly stated to conquer worlds, including swathes of Gaia, and occasionally capture races or even other gods from them. Presumably their divine power translates to either enforcing the illusion when it pleases them, or some sort of generalised reality warping that amounts to a similar mechanical effect; Kult isn't very detailed on the specifics of how divine powers work, but it is consistent that there is a reason why Metropolis was feared and revered back in the day.

Divinity Lost has a powerlevel scale for individual types of entity, individual Awakened Humans are rated at the same tier as other gods, and the Child of Magic (a newborn Awakened Human NPC that rapidly grows to a loli Awakened Human under her own power) creates her own soul in the borders of Achlys, mows through everything in her path in the Taroticum campaign, and intimidates another fully grown god from lashing out at the PCs.

[Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends]

Scenario: Jumper's Home For Imaginary Friends

Adult

Housekeeping (Free)
So Cool And Hot (900)
Foster Parent (600)
Active Imagination (0)
“When did you get jobsss?" (Free)

Elodie stared at all the graphs and hypercubes floating around me as I started up my own foster home for imaginary friends. The grass rippled with non-newtonian fluids as the two and one-dimensional notional points of [friendship] struggled to interact with the world, and the sky above us rippled as a higher dimensional [friend] tried to squeeze in and eat some lower dimensional cookies. She squinted at a sentient kaleidoscope that showed her alternate visions of herself. "Uh...what's going on here...?"

"Those are my imaginary friends" I said. "Look. Look at how imaginary they are. Calculate the wonder. Simulate the sets and classes they fit in. Observe their unreal possibilities"

"Oh. Ohhhh, okay, this is...yeah, this is your idea of an imaginary friend group. Well, it's nice that you're actually doing this in earnest, but-look, that one's just a smaller version of the Nemesis Conundrum!"

"How DARE you, Elodie. The FRIEND Conundrum embodies the mathematical set of possibilities that lead to greater FRIENDSHIP" I exclaimed as the shy conundrum hid behind me.

"No, that's not what I-"

"ELODIE. Are you saying imaginary friends that look scary DON'T belong here? How VERY un-magical girl of you!".

"No! I'm just...I'm just...here to drop off some imaginary friends of my own!" said Elodie brightly. "Here, have a fat unicorn!"

"Very well"

"Here, have a beaver with a beanie hat that he can fly with!"

"Welcome"

"Here, have a, um, a, a...a hippo that loves pizza!!"

And Elodie continued to frantically think up imaginary friends on the spot in a bid to populate my home with imaginary friends that weren't utterly incomprehensible, which I considered to be a failure in human imagination.

I don't know much about Exalted but aren't antediluvians kinda shitty compared to what high level solars fight? I thought Solars basically fought Greek mythology titans and shoved them inside their own assholes.
>>
>>94808325
Yes, but ExWoD Solars are very badly diminished.
>>
>>94808318
You don't. The God Machjne isn't an entity, it's a mess of Infrastructure kudzu that does a bunch of random nonsensical things that somehow all come together in such a way to give the illusion of it performing coherent action and creating miracles for the purpose of some greater overall goal. You could fix one part of the Infrastructure mess and it wouldn't actually impact the rest at all.
>>
>>94808325
It's muddled a bit since in ExVsWoD the Unconquered Sun is shattered into a million pieces and Essence is much thinner than it is in Creation, so Exalts aren't as powerful as they'd otherwise be. At baseline, an E1 solar is about as powerful as a G7 vampire.
>>
>>94808318
That's a really, REALLY hard question to answer for a lot of reasons. Do you mean God Machine normally, or in the Contagion Chronicles timeline? If the former, "Fixing," it is a loaded term, implying that it's broken. You need to consider that even working as intended it probably isn't anything good or recognizably humane. Then, onto actually fixing it, it's such an abstract "entity" that whatever problems might be wrong with it are practically impossible to diagnose in any meaningful capacity. Similarly, a coherent means of "Fixing" it is also nonsensically difficult to fathom.
>>
>>94808325
Thing that a lot of people overlook is that Exalts are supposed to fight in armies.
Each army had at least 5 Solars, 5 Lunars, and 10,000 Dragonblooded, with a couple of Sidereals acting as tech support through fate fuckery.
They are not intended in Lore to be able to solo a primordial.
>>
>>94808344
Merela did it.
>>
>>94808324
Shard, you have failed the assignment.
>>
>>94808325
Solars fought a bunch of things that were designed to be weak enough to be killed by Solars. The strongest versions of the Antes weren't designed to be beaten, so when one of them merges with the entire Earth she's literally the entire Earth at that point.

>>94808345
Nothing ever said that. Merala dealt the death blow with an unarmed attack. That's all that's known.
>>
>>94808345
Merela was not an ordinary solar.
Why does autocorrect want to change Merela's name to Kerala?
>>
>>94808345
No, Merela had a bunch of other people with her fighting well before she did her "choke a Primordial to death" thing which actually killed it. And I'll note that we have no fucking clue how she did that either.
>>
>>94808325
It's sort of complex, but Primordials have their own Greater Imperfection, a sort of conceptual flaw in their own being that renders them incredibly weak to certain highly specific actions. While they have universe-shaping power, if you know the Greater Imperfection you don't actually need to be insanely powerful to kill one.
That being said, Solars are also ridiculously powerful, but by the time the World of Darkness rolls around are missing the wide abundance of magic that made their "I attack you and every single one of the people in your entire soul hierarchy at once"/"I touch you and you die instantly" attacks no longer possible.
>>
>>94808338
I remember Demon saying the GM is broken somehow, but now I think about it that's probably just what the Demons think.
>>
>>94808320
You were correct, once again the FGO redux has been delayed by the appearance of another jump in thread

>>94808280
There's a lot of beings I'd pin as Rank 10ers by mage standards yeah.

>>94808318
There is no canonical explanation. If you go by Imperial Mysteries there is a THEORY the god-machine is a fallen supernal god assembling a mystery play to restore itself, and if you go by the Contagion Chronicle one of the things that leaks from the God-Machine is literally the remnants of the original ladder that connected the Supernal to the phenomenal. So it is possible, POSSIBLE, that actually the success of nWoD's free mages would be tantamount to fixing the G-M. But we don't know anything for sure. For what it's worth, at the start of the God-Machine Chronicle some writers were floating around the idea the G-M was something from the distant future that came back in time and started emulating supernatural entities for unknowable purposes, but that idea hasn't really been floated as much.

>>94808296
To be perfectly fair, both Grand Maw and God in oWoD have massive glass jaws depending on which metaplots you interpret as correct. Grand Maw can apparently die to the South American rainforest's worth of life energy pumped in her general direction. God was afraid to touch Grand Maw when creating the world according to DtF which is why God made the angels, and ToJ as well as Days of Fire posits that God broke from the strain of smiting the fallen angels.

>>94808246
That's a surprise for whenever I get around to writing them. Suffice to say that I'd like to throw a bit of a GLITCH in the Hotel's inner workings, and that that in my experience getting the NOMENCLATURE is a good start when it comes to raging fallen divinities almost nobody here knows what Mummy the Curse is about so I'm gonna have to be very unsubtle with this hint

Well, that's one more anon than I expected to know about it. I will add a few more things: I'm much more interested in the full might of the Nameless Empire in life than any individual effects after selling themselves into slavery, I was a Deceived in the actual Mummy the Curse jump with knowledge of Forgetting The Name, and my Sundered World backstory was essentially being a rogue Sekhem entity unaffiliated with the Judges of Duat. Y'know, kind of like Sutek. Due to this, I also fluffed my MtC experience as being seen through the eyes of the "temakh" that was a shard of my original self as much as the actual Deceived background. Which means I have other uses for the Keshina than simply trading slavery to a god-monster to slavery to Fate like most Deceived.

Honestly, they are perfectly beatable with one E5 optimized combat solar, but optimized builds are very not in sync with Holden's vision of the game.

...As antes are statted in ExWoD book, anyway. Not "Plot Device, only a flesh wound" antes from Gehenna. Zapathasura would fucking destroy a E5 Solar circle, he has way too much staying power.
>>
>>94808781
...Just to be clear, I am talking about ExWoD version of Solars.
>>
>>94808790
Lorewise Holden seems to think 2e Solars are more powerful than ExWoD Solars so outside game mechanics, it still works. Even if one game is written by a guy who wants to get into the nitty-gritty of combat mechanics and another game is written by a guy jerking off to his old ugly vampire donut steel who's like, so cool you guys, so goddamn awesome he could totes beat Superman and Goku if he hated them enough.

Muh power level autismo aside, I was and still am actually pretty chuffed with ExWoD, if only because it is a very solid base to jump off into homebrewing your own stuff.

In the Striving for the Luxury liner jump it says "You can only summon one ship of a given type per purchase, so if you want multiple life rafts you will have to buy more.". It means using the money to buy a boat using the skill and not buying the perk again with CP right? I believe the MC unlocks multiple boats at one point.

Godspeed then. I'm still not sure how deliberate it was, but the writing for Days of Fire is extremely tone-deaf in that it tries to suggest God has a plan and it's accomplishment is preferable to everything else, but the plan is essentially for humanity to give up all forms of supernatural power and relinquish the power of God vested in them in an Instrumentality-like fusion so God can be reborn from their faith to magically fix everything. Like Tinkerbell.

Lucifer does not explain why this is worth surrendering the opportunity to be a badass reality-warping wizard other than the implication that the world will go to shit if people act selfishly, which then begs the question of why you're supposed to put faith in a loving God who forces all of existence into a game of chicken to ascertain love for said God. It's like what Preacher's God did but infinitely worse on every level because other than modern Earth-level general suffering, Preacher God mostly focused his efforts on making Jesse in particular miserable.

>>94808841
Just to be clear I was just talking about their strength in lore since Holden specifically describes ExWoD Exalts as intending to represent diminished versions of the original Exalt powerset, but yeah I'm pretty chuffed too about the combat system. Even if the non-combat systems are pretty wonky.
>>
>>94808847
Yep.
>>
>>94808831
...also yeah, you literally only have Lucifer's word that Days of Fire is even true since it's LUCIFER'S account of what's really going on. And in it, Lucifer ALREADY cops to being a fucking nark who orchestrated the fall from grace on God's behest.

So really, Grand Maw is the true all-loving deity in oWoD because she's just a sweet grandma who just happens to be the consciousness of Oblivion itself.
>>
>>94808835
Some prolly homebrew village adventure about a demon possession. Demon got to local lord and you were playing as adventurers or local peasants trying to figure out what is going on.

>>
>>94808847
not the guy that made the jump but it just means that you can only call out a vehicle you've actually purchased using the skill and only up to the limit of however many times you've bought it. So if you bought like three rowboats you could summon up three rowboats but you couldn't call up a fishing boat unless you'd already purchased one and, even if you had, you could only call up that one fishing boat until and unless you buy another one.
>>
>>94808859

>Grand Maw is...a sweet grandma
OOOH, I GET IT!
>>
>>94808847
My understanding is that the skill lets you summon / dismiss any boat that you've purchased and that there is a list of boats you can directly purchase from a menu that the skill itself lets you read through, sort of like an online shopping website but for boats. You only pay CP for the actual skill, the boats are purchased with normal currency using the skill.

Fun fact: Lilo is a budding fat fetishist. Look at her hobbies: she has an obsession with taking pictures of fat people and pins them to the wall next to her bed, so she can see them all every single day. Being fair, Lucifer doesn't have any real reason to lie about what he believes the plan is. But thing is, that's just what he BELIEVES the plan is - he's God's greatest stooge so his word is kind of suspect in the idea that everything will be fine if everyone just follows the plan. I certainly don't think shit like the Technocratic Union or the Wyrm going mad were at all in the plan for example, but Lucifer would have you think they are.

>Lucifer doesn't have any real reason
Well, in that one ToJ excerpt from his point of view Lucifer does sound very, very weary of the whole thing so I'd argue that by the modern era of oWoD he's so burnt out he'd say anything he thought could get people mobilised the moment he actually makes up his mind what he wants to do when the world's about to end.

But also yeah, nothing he said accounts for the Neverborn (who according to at least one account are the consciousnesses for the Children appeased by Clan Baali) or the eldritch horrors of the Outer Dark that were apparently seeded in reality by Cain's murder.

Longer than you might expect, actually. I say a planets worth of people, but Jupiter is a gas giant. You can't exactly land on it. So she was presumably on a very large space station orbiting around it. So she probably conquered the station she was on in at worst a few days. And normally that would be the end of things, but she kind of livestreamed it, so a bunch of other people simped for her and got infected on purpose.

I'm gonna release "NTR Man With Aphrodisiac" aliens onto your romcom-nuked world, which "blushing virgins with deeply wholesome and purely emotional love for their childhood friend" are conceptually weak against.

Dwarves don't have poison resistance in Rapscallion's fantasy world. In fact, alcohol cures poisonings and food provides literal buffs because of the amount of raw magic infusing everything.
>>

I don't think you understand, anon. You don't glass a planet because you want to look at a rock, you glass it to watch the people burn. Currently looking around some jumps for that freebie chainbutt, but am now remembering just how many jumpers only let you be a drop in for free and they got nothing. I can go to Avatar an Korra, but can only be a drop in and get a set of clothing. No way to get bending. I can go to Gargoyles, but get no perks and cannot be a gargoyle. I knew getting powers would be few and far between, but I at least thought I could get some new racial alt forms, but nope, most of those cost points and are no go. Instead of being discouraged, it is upsetting me at being so week and now I want to find a place to go to gain some powers that aren't an RPG or cultivation setting.

So, starting to reread the Dreamers series for my jump on the subject, and thought I'd stop by to make basic observations on the first chapter of the first book, since it's a bit of a laugh on my part.

A. Dahlaine, the Elder God who governs the snowy and mountainous north of Dhrall, is somewhat humorous. I think I'll make a perk based on how he convinces Zelana, a goddess noted for her disdain for humans as whiny, smelly little shits who feel entitled to her time and effort, into basically adopting a human child by framing it as him giving her a 'gift' of a 'pet'. In this specific case she relents after the revelation of what kind of pet her older brother is giving her because like her sister and younger brother, she's a softie when it comes to cute things, but Dahlaine's inner monoglue implies that he's able to use this 'gift' tactic pretty consistently with Zelana.

B. More generally, the gods are very silly for the following reasons.
-They consume light as sustenance, but they can generate light at will. Different colors are noted to have different flavors, and they can change the color of generated or existing light at will, though they seem to prefer naturally occurring light to a degree.

-Dahlaine and Zeltan both ride pet lightning bolts to move around quickly.

-Zelana casually comments that she used to determine when the seasons changed before she realized that the seasons can change on their own.

-Zeltan likes to explore the Moon

-Zelana dislikes humans because they're whiny, stinky, and feel entitled to her help as if she has nothing else to do with her time, so she hasn't dealt with any of the humans of her domain in 10,000 years.

-Do not trust Zelana with children who aren't beloved by the world around them. She does not know what cooking is and doesn't seem to realize that human can drown.

-The gods all carry around pocket dimensions on their persons to store their stuff.

I am now operating under the crack religious conspiracy that there was some sort of eldritch unknowable bullshit going on in Gomorrah, so horrible and tainted that it was written out of history and man only remembers it because Sodom was destroyed at the same time. Possibly to prevent this very question from arising by making one implicitly assume that Sodom's bullshit was going on in Gomorrah, when it was far, far worse.

Uh, kinda? But it's less a them problem, and more that a problem that the universe will erase them form existence if they (directly) kill something, with a small list of caveats and exceptions. They kind of need to operate through mortal proxies when the goal is killing shit.

...well, there is the minor plot-hole with Veltan's pet lightning bolt being able to kill things as a byproduct of Veltan's instructions, but then the gods could hire foreign mercenaries to kill the servants of the Vlagh, so them asking something else to kill shit for them is apparently fine.

>Essays to the Craft - “There are many things of wonder in this world, and craftsmen are usually those who make them. And now, you’re among the most skilled craftsmen still left in Middle-Earth. Your ability in blacksmithing, wood carving, glass blowing, or any other mundane form of craftsmanship you care to mention is a thing of legend, letting you create items that possess minor supernatural power of their own with sheer skill, such as an item that will eventually try to find its way back to you if you lose it. Additionally, you know the secrets that Sauron used to create the Rings of Power, allowing you to make your own if you wish, although you’ll have to dedicate some effort into figuring out how Sauron designed a secret weakness to his corruption into the Rings of Power if you want the ones you craft to not be vulnerable to his manipulations.”

Does this perk from Skyrimanon's Lord of the Rings Jump look like it's asking you to select a craft, or granting general craftsmanship buffs with mundane crafts? I read it as the former at first, but on rereading I found that I couldn't really tell anymore.

>>94810102
no, there were no particular weakpoints, solars were just designed as the universal can openers that can open every can
>>
>>94810133
No, even more than that. Greater Imperfections are let you kill humanoid/monster Jouten. There also needs to be a way for world sized Jouten to get killed, or else the Primordials could have won. Qaf is infinite, but there's going to be a way with a high enough Wits + Survival roll that you can get anywhere within him within a few days and he can't stop you. One of the places you can go is some kind of spiritual core where you can take out the whole Jouten with a big spell.
>>
>>94810191
>There also needs to be a way for world sized Jouten to get killed, or else the Primordials could have won

>>
>>94810202
That's an even weaker interpretation than I went with, and so disproves the idea that Exalts can "do anything" even more.
>>
>>94810218
that "idea" is not something that can be proven or disproven, it's just what they were thematically and mechanically designed to do, they were designed to be able to take down any sort of enemy regardless of scalar or qualitative comparisons
>>
>>94810230
No, they were designed to kill the Primordials.
>>
>>94809627
The key is to get a sufficient level of horny where you can read/watch/play the porn media without it sounding completely retarded, while not being so horny it overtakes you and you must fap.

Or just be extremely familiar with the setting you don't need to re-engage with it to make 90% of the jump, or have gone through it recently enough.

>>94810241
and the primordials were designed as enemies whose scalar and qualitative traits are unlimited and left vague, so that's the same thing

it's just a matter of authorial intent anon, you can't "disprove" that this is what the authors intended, it's plain that they intended it whether you want to interpret it that way in your own chain or not
>>
Jumpers are morally obligated to bully lesbians. ESPECIALLY jumpers who are female or who can shift into female forms.
>>
>>94810257

>>
>>94810268
wrong, however if you really think so, then show me an example of an entire primordial's statblock shown as weaker than an essence 5 solar (the essence when they canonically fought the primordial war) from the books
>>
>>94810188
Exalted is a goddamn TTRPG system with discrete numerical values and exact capability measuring attributes, we actually fucking know what Exalt can and cannot do at any given time with any given amount of experience.

At E1-5, Solars do not possess capability to genuinely fight planet-sized beings without some sort of a weakpoint being involved.

There are ways to output hundreds points of damage in the system, and even that wouldn't be enough to actually blow up a planet.

You got overhyped by secondaries. Exalts are mighty, not omnipotent.

This is pretty much a reddit-tier bodymod, so he's not the bodymodder I would ask for advice.
>>
>>94810363
the problem with body mods is that all the gauntlet faggots have latched onto them and constrained them to making you a street level super through them

so basically don't do that, either make the body mod only change your appearance and innate nature relating to that appearance, or make it make you stronger than spider man

It's especially funny when you have a body mod where Tiers 1-4 are like "You're slightly muscular" to "You're a totally ordinary Olympian athlete" and then Tier 5 is like "You're a Mortal Kombat character who can punch your entire arm through a guy's torso to rip his heart out and also bench press three cars stacked together."

GET only worns after you've effectively already beaten them (i.e. reduced them to 0 hp), retard.
>>
>>94810392
and its prereq whatever it was called lets you get there, so you have that by default, however the effect of ghost eating is still the key to actually sealing the deal

>>94810390
What you are doing is embarrassing yourself. You need to be schooled on the very basic of the setting you are trying to hype, and I am not here for it. Go read some books.
>>
>>94810385
Nta but litterally ghost eating technique allow you to kill a primordial by killing a Jouten, it's pretty relevant in a discussion on how to kill Primordials.
>>
>>94810408
>can't point out anything i was wrong about so just makes a random personal attack instead

>>94810411
ghost eating technique is one ingredient in a recipe for winning the primordial war that has two ingredients, and the other ingredient isn't damage
>>

Eh, it'd mean there's always something to improve (beyond mana) for when you get more points from Jump completion no matter how far down the line you get.

Given that Ishida Ryuken (Uryuu's dad) was cousins with Masaki (Ichigo's mom) and used to live with her when they were kids, he'd have embarrassing childhood stories to tell Ichigo about his mother?

isidoros, because he's a boar, so it'll taste like pork

and pork tastes better than sand, glass, or torment
>>
>>94810430
It's also damage, aimed to the Jouten, bringing its health level to 0 is required.
>>94810431
Oramus would be both delicious and healthy.
>>
All this talk about primordials, why not just trap them somewhere? Like the shining trapezohedron in dyn freaks or the binding from mushoku tensei?

Hell thats the entire reason I grabbed that in dyn freaks. To contain big godlike beings and milk them for their delicious attributes and skill orbs with my jumpers cheat ability.

Speaking if I wonder if they would gice dp if you put them into a lazy dm dungeon room.
>>
>>94810446
no, the other part of the recipe is perfect defenses, because you're going up against an entity incomparably stronger than yourself
>>
>>94810431

don't worry, the wood element isn't just plants, it's also animals

what you need to worry about is the other elements, are you really going to eat rocks, fire, and lightning?
>>
>>94810460
Apples are fruit.
>>
>>94810464
no, they did die, they just didn't die from it, that's how the neverborn were made

even the creation of the yozi included killing their primary soul components, so the milder form of imprisonment also included killing them to a lesser degree
>>
>>94810451
And because of this you should mainly leverage its greater imperfection, like Theion's inability to fight those he has scorned, and its excellency, and lack of options outside of it.
>>
>>94810464
At the level of power you can trap a primordial somewhere, you might as well just slay it.

For all the postfact complications, it does stop the primordial until you go up to its grave and start digging.
>>
>>94810468
Gaia also embodies fruits. Just cook her right to get an apple pie
>>

Theres no real difference between fruits and vegetables.

yes, and we come around full circle to proving that solars can fight anything short of a literally flawless and genuinely omnipotent being the sorts of which you don't find mentioned outside of religion

>You received the blessing of Stravhs as he left the world, and received the boon of the God of balance. Stravhs is considered the dark reflection on Denglr, where Denglr sought to earn and create, Stravhs ensured that all would end and that everything had a price. This ability allows you to slay any being that is considered immortal. The act of slaying them doesn't change, you must still be able to beat them. Any being who truly can't die will instead be convinced that they have been killed under your assault and fall into a half dead/half sleeping state that they cannot rouse themselves from. You have the option to replace Rook in the story, gaining his body and memories, if you wish.

>>
>>94810631
No. Wrong. Jesus Christ, you're a fucking retard.

Solars MIGHT be able to defeat anything that isn't completely flawless. But being able to defeat flawed beings is NOT- in any way, shape, or form- PROOF of that.
>>
>>94810645
---->
>>94810488
While it might actually be a retard, you are at fault for not recognizing how this was gonna go five posts ago.
>>
>>94810628
An ant is not vulnerable to crushing force, it has specific tolerances. When you step on one, your weight vastly exceeds those tolerances. Thus you crush it.

Yes, you can crush things as long as they have weight tolerances that are below your own weight. You can even exert forces and harm things that are above your own weight by applying greater forces, exceeding their tolerances to cause them harm. You cannot immediately destroy anything that can be affected by kinetic energy because you possess any amount of kinetic energy.
>>
>>94810627
They were designed to work on potentially the scale of an Incarna or Primordial, and explicitely essences on the scale of ten were an unforeseen developement, arguing they can work at every level is disingenous.
>>
>>94810645
no, merely being able to defeat any particular being isn't proof of that, but the way their charms are designed is, since they don't have scalar limitations and at these levels typically include the word perfect, which literally means it always works regardless of extraneous logic with the single exception of defense trumping offense

you retards are really bad at this whole imagination and power comparison thing considering this is a fucking jumpchain thread where you're supposed to be doing this as a hobby

again with the damage? in exalted, things generally aren't killed in a single hit, instead they are essence pinged to death, that is there's a minimum damage that always gets through soak, and part of the whole "a group of weaker beings kills an inherently stronger one", like what the solars did to the primordials, or what the terrestrials did to the solars

Also I'm mowing through LB7 rn, enjoying the absurdity of Dino Arc, seething at there being no speedup to roll Kuku, and getting hyped for the ORT raid.

>>
>>94810727
it's the nature of jumpchain, odds are any particular person isn't going to be interested in 90% of the content because it's from a setting they don't know or don't like

this is also why the idea that there are "authorities" about interactions between different settings here like this retard >>94810679 is implying is so laughable, at the absolute best you'd have an author be an authority if he wrote both jumps that people were discussing interactions between, and even at that point those would need to be original settings of the author's own creation for it to hold any weight

>>94810959
oh sure, i agree that they aren't as strong as many other power systems, it's just that they have an unlimited ability to punch up and not get swatted like a fly against stronger enemies, that's really what distinguishes them in a crossover context like jumpchain, and this fact about them pisses off a lot of people who either don't like exalted and don't want it to be notable, or else are too lazy or dumb to get their heads around that yes a solar can survive anything up to and including absolute attacks and reality warping and then retaliate afterwards

also it's not really essence that limits them, but willpower, which is a much scarcer resource, though in a jumpchain context you can get plenty of willpower too so that's not a big distinction

SEVEN SHADOW EVASION
Cost: 3m; Mins: Dodge 4, Essence 2; Type: Reflexive (Step 2)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Shadow Over Water
The Solar hero is too quick for his enemies to land a
blow. The Exalt invokes this Charm in response to an attack.
The attack must not be unexpected. This Charm is a dodge
that perfectly defends against the attack—even if the attack
is undodgeable.
This Charm has one of the Four Flaws of Invulnerability

>>
>>94811142
I know how they work in exalted, I simply rule in my chain, as sponsored by the very jumps, that in other jumps they work differently, since the primacy of defense exists to avoid toxic mechanics of transperfect effects, and to simplify a variety of effects that all make you immune to normal attacks, wich in my chain isn't a problem, as I'm the writer and can rule each time without offending the players.

NTA, but Spiral Power isn't the power of friendship, it's the power of evolution and mankind's fundamental triumph over adversity. Sort of a combination of manly virtue and primal hope. If something is completely impossible, Spiral Power says 'if you fight hard enough and scream loud enough, there's always a chance, and even an infintesimal chance is the same thing as a 100% chance of overcoming'.
It is the anti-Lovecraft. The scenario you describe is what Spiral Warriors experienced against the Anti-Spiral, but only because they ran out of hope and will. If you can't overcome it, it's merely because you're not Spiral Powering hard enough.

I engineered a generalized alchemical procedure for increasing lifespan-not immortality, but reducing senescence and allowing people to live two to three times longer than their unaugmented lifespan. It was also very, very, VERY good for creating super soldiers. They called me the Lifeline Alchemist for that.

I'm working on Vice and Violence. Here's the original document with a minor change to prove that. While I do have my own opinions about vore, they're not strong enough to prevent me from including a giant taxi companion for people who want it. Which is the small change.

Got an exam for Audit tomorrow. Not a lot to memorize, more get an idea of the feel of the rules, but it sucks since there is one more week till the semester ends.

Nah, it's not bad, but its one of those things you need to read a lot of dry stuff to get the main idea, which has to stay the same hence the dry reading. I just hope she doesn't ask us BS we'd only know if we worked the thing, or some obscure thing she said during class that isn't in the course support. Most of the highest test scores last time where done on vibing with answers rather than knowing stuff.

Leaving that aside, don't worry, I am sure you are going to do a great job. That said you willing to take some OC requests? Might as well try since this is my kind of jump....will not be able to refer the lastest stuff since Rap went to Bluesky, and I don't want to make even more social media accounts.

It's more along the line of a national sport than truely fighting. Like you can go into a pub and throw hands at people, and they'll always stop at knocking your ass out. What powers should a god of civilization have?
>>
>>94812353
No.
240 page is a short novel, and jumps are usually for entire book series.
240 pages is a lot for an TTRPG module or a supplement, but a main book or setting book usually runs around that or more, and with an rpg you can make some perks from translating classes or archetypes instead of character traits so you could make a jump with less content.
240 pages is like 10 or 11 comic books or manga chapters. And jumps based on comic books are usually for stuff that has been going for years or decades. Maybe if you were doing a miniseries, but that is less content than usual, not more.

Doing a lewd magical girl chain using 9anon's new supplement right now, because why not?

Still fixated on that freebie only chainbutt. I have some minor builds for a few dozen jumps, but it appears that drop ins being the only free origin and getting nothing else for free was common in most jumps i picked. I have only a few non human alt forms and one is just being a Muppet and whatever the guy is in Pikmin. So most of those builds are just the jump, age l, starting location and the words drop in.
It is annoying, but I would still accept it as a chain and find a way to play tourist.

The specifics depend on how you define civilization, but there are a few universals, which include:
>Order (whether they are agreed upon or decreed from on high, civilizations have rules)
>Craft (civilizations make things, such as tools and containers)
>Knowledge (civilizations accumulate generational knowledge, which can be passed down orally, through writing, or even through highly specific knot patterns)
>Community (a civilization inherently consists of more than one entity)

Overlord.

What was supposed to be a pretty standard "max out the guild base and crush things" turned out to be wildly complicated when I got the idea to treat the rival player I got from the drawbacks as a genius, druggie brother who always hated jumper because he was always the favorite and "got handed everything in life", which is especially reinforced when Jumper's best friend who runs the #1 guild in all of Yggdrasil hands the whole organization over to Jumper before committing suicide. Jumper tries his best to keep things going as his friend wanted but he doesn't have half the people skills he did so eventually while the base was still being used as a sort of trade hub was was super populated the actual guild more or less slowly deteriorated.

Now jumper has to try and handle feeling like he's almost walking around in the tomb of his friend + wrangling all the NPCs while trying to stop his brother from causing seemingly random wild destruction (Nazarick is actually lending troops and the like to the brother to try and smoke out jumper so they can cut the metaphorical head off the snake). Jumper finds purpose and friendship along the way in the New Worlders he meets kind of making him the opposite of Ainz. I'm not even close to done. Jumper still has to figure out how to be a decent king and deal with Nazarick in any capacity rather than running around putting out small fires in the New World

If memory serves me the reason you need to build a quantum gate to call in SACUs is because the engineers can't create the necessary components on location.
I believe this was due to needing materials that aren't produced by matter generators but I can't recall the details.
So I would say you might need to tinker with/upgrade your supcom tech before producing more esoteric stuff.
>>
>>94813103
>love
You're allowed to do it but not express it. You can only express lust (towards sexual partners) or mild admiration (to children or siblings/cousins), or appreciation.
>>
>>94813075
Ngl I feel like a story about some random village kid getting recruited by gnarl to fight off ainz would have the pity to be really really good.
>>
>>94813105
I might, but Jumper basically starts off as much of a loser as Ainz is and it's less of a preachy speech and more like a realization they both had a similar problem that he tries to talk Ainz through before coming to the conclusion Ainz isn't capable of understanding the past can't be your whole world.

The brother petitioned Ainz for the resources since he doesn't have a guild to even begin to kill Jumper who agrees because Nazarick itself can't do shit and basically needs this super genius to figure out how to assassinate Jumper for him. Jumper will have to kill his own brother and will briefly blame Ainz for it but comes to the conclusion they're all warped from living in a cyberpunk hellhole. "I am a fool with a heart but no brains, and you are a fool with brains but no heart; and we’re both unhappy, and we both suffer." Sadly Ainz won't move on and forces Jumper's hand in killing him

>>
>>94813316
This perk from Fate Garden of Avalon
>Knight of Owner- 400
>As a manifestation of incredible fighting feats and achievements, a true warrior’s power has appeared in your hands. The representation of a knight and fighter without compare, this special ability immediately affects anything you come into contact with and perceive primarily as a weapon of some kind. It spreads an aura through and around the weapon, in two colours of your choice, and even as a base effect it will let you achieve an instant and natural mastery of the use of that weapon, like it was a favoured weapon that you’d wielded for many years on the battlefield.
>Beyond that skill, it also enchants anything affected to be a fairly powerful magical tool. While they’re far from an Excalibur, the enchantments are still quite useful, allowing the weapons to possess unnatural durability or fire magical blasts of significant power. Even a gun might find each bullet now possessing enough power to meaningfully harm some supernatural foes.
>Knight of Owner has no size limitation on what it can affect, so long as you see it and everything within that might be affected as a weapon first. Even a jet fighter or battleship can be affected, with your weaponising aura allowing you to control affected vehicles by thought alone. Lastly, the power will also override control over things that would normally have special requirements for you to use, such as a Noble Phantasm that only the wielder can use via magical rules, a gun that is DNA-locked to specific people or just a car that you need a key for.

Maybe dabble in some magic in jump to improve this further.

Probably the best answer we can come up with it. I'll be straight with you guys, I have trouble seeing it despite my upbringing. There's just a little too much suffering and inequality and unreasonable cruelty without consequence here. You can never know the word of God by being born in the wrong place and never managing to hear it from someone before you die believing what you were taught instead, and be damned for no reason beyond that. We know where much of the modern concepts like the Devil as a character came from, we know what's a mistranslation that took off, the fact that misunderstandings are allowed to be born from the good book without divine correction sinks the whole thing. I fear we are a lost people making up phantoms on the wall to make it make sense.

It's nice feeling understood. I understand so little of myself here. I don't feel like I have a type of man I am predisposed to like, but I love damn near every type of woman, and always have. In theory I like feminine men but there are so many femboys I feel completely neutral to a slight repulsion from, with no apparent pattern. I don't really like real traps but real more masculine men's bodies can make me feel something. I love a twitching cock but I don't like futa at all despite theoretically combining the best of both worlds. I've never had a crush on a male character or real man, but you could draw heavily lashed eyes on a square and I'd go doki doki for the cute girl before my eyes. These wires are all kinds of snarled. I'd almost rather be completely bi or completely straight and know what I like.

We've got very similar tastes, i'm also much more specifc in the type of men i'm attracted to though that's been expanding somewhat recently and there are irl men who I find attractive (Andre Garfield is so fucking hot and i've found some Bara characters I like recentley). At the end of the day you're Bi but you just are much more specific in your types when it comes to one gender, which is decently common amongst Bi people. There are other labels that get more specific on those tastes but I find Bi works easiest for me but do a lil research and just pick one you feels fits you best or just stick with Bi since it's a good catch all even if you don't feel as Bi as you should which is also another common sentiment amongst some queer people.

I suppose you're right, I just wish I knew how to better categorize those specific types so I seem less completely random about it. I was never particularly interested in all those balkanized labels that are so popular now, bi is good enough for me in theory, though I would feel like I was misleading people by declaring it, since I'm so heavily slanted towards women and don't even know how to explain what kind of dude I'm into (You know, like Kurapika in Hunter Ecks Hunter, who might be biologically female because Togashi never shows him bare chested, but see?). Realizing and admitting I was a little bit bi made me feel strangely satisfied and makes some het smut twice as hot, though, even if I am reluctant to own it. I did cause a particular Kinsey scale test to give me an "F" and accuse me of being a weirdo or trying to foil it, that was pretty fun to see.

That is assuming it isn't relying on magic to have the durability. I always assume that magic materials if you scanned them at an atomic level would either be nonsense where it has like fractional protons or it would be gold with added magic so if you try to replicate it without magic you would get mundane materials.

What are some good options for miniturization technology? Not really looking for something that would output the same amount of power from a mini generator or something, what Im looking for is technology that would allow me to miniturize a large area. Not Technology, but Emminence in Shado got Slime Suits
>Slimes -200cp
>It turns out that slimes in this world are extremely versatile when you know how to work with them. One of the greatest inventions of Shadow Garden, the slime suit and weapon, is constructed entirely out of slime. They have a 99% effectiveness when conducting magical energy, meaning that only trace amounts of power is lost when you channel your magic into it, when even the second most magically attuned material in this world, mithril, reaches only about 50% effectiveness, not to mention how you can manipulate their shape on the fly. You could extend the reach of your slime blade to cover a large room, change its design easily, and maybe even hide your weapon by converting it into a bracelet.
>If you practice controlling it, you can add more slime to give yourself wildly different body shapes (and manipulate its color so that it looks natural), grow small blades anywhere on your person, grow wings for flight, and even hide large amounts of coins on your person by embedding them within the armor. And thanks to its flexibility, the bodysuits almost support your movements, instead of hindering them like normal armor, even when bulked up for additional defense. It’s truly a wonderful material.
>And with this purchase, you gain a large crate filled with slime, complete with a manual on how to work with it, such as turning some of it into a slime suit and a bit more into a slime weapon. It also comes with instructions on how to make more (largely just infusing it with energy and letting it generate more slime on its own), as well as things like turning them into heated bag couches, or cold bags, or even use it as makeup to completely disguise your face, the potential of slimes as a material is immense.

Sadly they dont work if the user has no magical energy, becoming a liquid unable to hold their shape.

So, like, shrink rays? Brainiac pulls that off. Spy kids. Pym particles. Honestly a lot capeshit. If you mean bioengineering small versions of them all, the miniaturisation power in Worm (post jump iirc) and the perk for it in 40k Primarchs both apply to biology.

>Pym particles
Do they make you beat your wife and, due to that being the only thing normies know about you, consequently get you replaced by Tony Stark in the movies in every way that matters before you're reduced to some comedic remix of your former self?
>the miniaturisation power in Worm
I don't remember this, but I read Worm 9 years ago. ...I read Worm 9 years ago. Jesus Christ!
>>
>>94813945
>You would think they would sell that technology and revolutionize the shipping industry.
nta, but dont forget space travel. you heavily reduce the weight spaceships need to carry in terms of cargo, fueld and supplies, whille also being able to pick up as much as you want.

Like if you wanted you could pick up moon rocks weight several tons and shrink them dowwn to fit on a key chain to easily take with you.
Which isn't that relevant now, but is a major gain in termsof asteroidmining.
>>

Just keep it shrunk and stockpile it in the smelter unit with a giant chute connected to a lattice and feild setup to unshrink just as it gets to the smelter unit then reshrink at the other side for storage again so you are sure you dont lose any ore.

I mean,it's alsodecently represented in modern Western settings ,like just think the Targaryens, Geralt or Quicksilver.
>>

Asteroid mining is going to be a bitch to actually pull off. Very few people understand how geological processes concentrating ores into veins is actually way more handy for mining. Mining asteroids for minerals is roughly on the level of filtering gold (or your element of choice) from seawater in terms of material to be processed : reward. Dead Space planet cracking is (ignoring the issue of what they did with all the waste matter) orders of magnitude more viable in my honest opinion.

I think scifi is dying because enough people realized everything about it is as outrageously fantastical as wizards and dragons are, so there's no point in the conceit of it being "science" fiction anymore. For instance, terraforming other planets is unequivocally never going to be possible because of how it takes billions of years for a breathable atmosphere to form.

Note that if God is indeed completely omniscient there is something else he would already know beforehand. That being what God is going to do.

>But God is also omnipotent. So can't he change what he is going to do?
Could he? Probably. Would he? That's a trickier question. Since God also know why he would end up doing that thing. As well as the reasons he will end up having for not doing something differently.

>Couldn't God uses his omnipotence to not see what Future God is going to do?
Probably. Which would also give him the ability to give himself the ability to not know what decisions we would make.

Making another OC Nen abilities based on KDM
Dark Place: Slenderman
It conjures a portal to a parallel dimension, dark and full of water, limiting how long I can stay there by my ability to hold my breath, by swimming through it it allow movement through the real world ignoring normal obstacles like walls. Moreover whoever Is inside of it is automatically forgotten by everyone outside until it exits, at wich point memories will start to return, and in case of being seen all memories will immediately return. While I'm inside the Dark Place I have to keep the portal open, but I can hide it through In normally, and if I take someone into it I can't exit until they escape or die. Even after their death as long as the corpse stay there they won't be remembered.
>>

Jump allows you to make a custom territory but basically each territory is its own dimension with its own metaphysics that travelers can enter. You really only get one or two at most so each dimension has its own set of travelers. The people bound with them can borrow the metaphysics to do stuff like toss lightning or summon creatures from their territory and they can also drop onto their own territory by making a gate and going through it but since its generally not a 1 to 1 scale in size you can use them to quick travel. Like iirc one of them is at a 1 to 7 scale so you walk 1 mile in the territory then come out and you have moved 7 miles. Hence the name travelers.

Each territory has its own rules and weirdness like ones literally just hell and anothers a massive frozen tundra library inside an unbelievably huge tower.

Watch from a distance at the fights between the Taoists and buddhists, Go visit some shrines give reimu some money if he happens to find any (Its not like he has a job that pays after all), Hatch that dragon stone and raise a new pet. Maybe go out and make some friends to take as companions. Though I'm not to sure who beyond a bunch of the 2hus I have a interest in admittedly. Sanae could be cool, or Mokou (and accidentally Kaguya by extension), Futo's silly and also a hermit but to loyal to Toyosatomimi.

Is it better to use Kingdom Death as a gauntlet or jump? I kinda like the gauntlet rewards and being an Entity scale monster seems like a good way to deal with hunting a bunch of different monsters that aren't final tier to rack up the points needed to afford a bunch of stuff and get rewards.

Anyone else find it weird that batman has a child sidekick who has remained a child for decades? I mean with this and with how long batman has been going with all the stuff he can do I think batman and his sidekick robin may in fact be demons. They dont seem to age. They have obviously supernatural abilities. The people who have come up against them are left in terrible states of both disfigurement and trauma.

I think batman might actually be a demon, and I think its no coincidence that he lives and hunts in Gotham, if anything Im half convinced the entire city is sitting on a portal to hell. You cannot tell me the joker is a natural being when he has come back from the dead so mamy times and caused as much havok as he has.

Does Atlantis have official territories or EEZs in the ocean that are recognized internationally? At least in those areas he could legally deal with fishing fleets without automatically triggering a war.
>>
>>94814502
I dont know about Marvel, but all planets in the Solar System of DC are usually populated.
Mercuries population varies depending on the earth, with early issues of justice league showing it as being populated by a race of giant sapient spiders that are actually pretty chill, while early wonder woman issues show it being populated by a race of giant women that all enslaved their men. There were also runs that show the poulation being more traditionally alien.

Hell for all we know all of that kind of stuff at different places on the same planet(like if an alien crashed into the Ocean of DC Earth and met Atlantis or on Themyscira and met the Amazons, they wouldn't be right to assume that the entire earth is like that.

>However what on Earth could make you think that the USA (at least the government) would bother with this kind of cover up, or that it would pay attention to legality?

Plausible deniability for operations they dont want to get called out on.

God that fucking retard always makes me one hair away from going on a Gohanposter tier rant. Like dude was all like "Yeah I fucked up and gave your op shit to some guy with a similar sounding name here's some curses to incentivize you killing yourself fuck you". I swear the mc's classmates who he made into angels a decent way into the story are doing a better fucking job than him.

There's probably one in G Gundam. Probably would've been the Neo American gundam before the Gundam Maxter imo.

Import/Create companions says 20 for all in the header. Do imported companions need to pay to be imaginary? It says their budget is for perks and items.
>>
>>94806957
Thanks for the jump!
>>
>>94814507
This is why fiction that relies on the idea of being set in an otherwise accurate mirror of the real world just doesn't work.
>>
>>94814599
Honestly man, as long as I'm allowed to companion/be a giant and buy a friendly mimic I'm fine.
>>
Hey SkyrimAnon, what are you working on? I hope you're doing well.
>>
>>94814829
Probably another exalted jump if I had to guess.
>>
>>94814829
IIRC he is working on a Honkai star rail jump. We missed the peak comedy of Blade making a jump for it due to his handle being ironically the same name as one of the characters,

Wow your life sounds riveting and your standards high.

If I can pull a way to negate Paradox out of my ass is there any other obstacle to turning WoD mage powers into 'free form reality warping, just add git gud'?
>>
>>94814824
You will be able to get a friendly mimic and a giant as companions. If Rapscallion comes up with a page that allows for a giant player character, I'll add that in too. I'm keeping an eye on his patreon page through a few different sites.
>>
>>94814863
Quintessence hard limits just how much freeform reality warping you can actually do.
>>
>>94814761
Thank you for catching that, and yes Companions have to pay to be imaginary friends. I will clarify that.

>>94814774
You're welcome

>>94814863
You still need to achieve higher levels of Gnosis, and that means other Mages trying to kill you and take your stuff.

Like in setting you can negate paradox but you still need to study. Just being inside a sanctum will eliminate any paradox.

I don't know, sorry. I've only actually seen that one specific rabbit picture

Yes? I literally said I'd only seen one picture of Rapscallion's rabbits and I posted that earlier. Were you expecting me to somehow find another picture I hadn't seen just to post it in the post where I said I hadn't seen another picture of them?

Not exactly like that, but you can get gijinka waifus of any canon transformer, which is similar.

>>94814888
In hindsight, it's a bit weird for the Darth Vader Expy to have no psychic powers to speak of. I decided to tweak the description of the Darth Star to specify that he has telekinesis at the very least, and also further driving home the parallels by saying he's in constant pain.
>>94815002
It's a bit roundabout, but you can create a Transformer companion, and use the altmode import option on them. I didn't explicitly state that companions can import altmodes that you own, but I didn't feel like it was much of a mental leap to assume you can.

I don't know why i find Genshin impact world boring. It has every guilty pleasure of mine, a ton of waifus, autistic amounts of information about the history of the world, each nation is a blender of multiple real life cultures. I'm kind of guy who unironically enjoyed reading warcraft lore (before Bfa), by all accounts i should like the Genshin world, but i just find it soo insipid for some reason.

Probably won't be too much better than the one I put in Lord of the Rings. Sauron's One Ring is already one of the most impressive things in the setting despite how late into the timeline it was made. The crafting of the Silmarils does give an opportunity for a unique spin on the crafting perk for this jump though.

>>94815020
There's a lot of interesting pictures in the book.
>>
>>94815038
Maybe it's the philosophy behind the storytelling style Hoyo has? Like the whole Erosion thing that Zhongli is going through. If it's not something about the setting itself that puts you off it's probably the way Hoyo handles it.
>>
>>94813547
just get one of those perks that homogenize different power systems into a single one
>>
>>94815038
Personally I liked Genshin a lot more before I played Honkai Impact and got Kiana's storyline. When I came back to it Aether and Lumine felt utterly boring by comparison even if the other waifus are often quite good.
>>
>>94815039
nta but honestly I think the crafting of the lamps that provided light for the entire world, up until they were destroyed and drowned the world in flames and got replaced by the twin trees, to be by far the most impressive crafting feat. *Someone* made those things after all.

Finished reading the Street Cultivation novels earlier today, so my current jumper used Generic Xianxia to become that setting's equivalent of an old money trust fund nepo-baby.

Now I'm trying to find a good setting to go to to upgrade my cultivation, because Street Cultivation's stuff is really weak, even if it has some neat esoteric powers. The biggest feat in the books was a dude setting the width of a highway on fire with a lot of setup.
