I use them quite frequently.Short term (the princess has been kidnapped), long term (the queen is dealing with noble bullshit), parodies (the princess has been kidnapped but she is way into it), shitty twists (the princess that's been kidnapped is somewhere else, this is a succubus clawing your face off), subversions (the princess has turned the tables and taken over the kidnappers with her awesome leadership skills), and inversions (the party gets hired to kidnap a princess).
