A single card would be ideal, but a series would probably be better for usability, trying to pack all the text on one card would make it hard to read. Also it would probably be any non-swamp basic land instead of just plains, you can make cities at forests, mountains, and islands after all. Presumably the land type you create it on would influence what the settlement generates.
>>
>>94837589
How hard would be to convince Bisky to join jumper in multiverse journey?

Not that hard if you convince her there's lots of pretty gems in other worlds.

NTA but you prolly should consider the ramifications of that whole "nen is the life force" bit for your debate specifically.

Asking again, was someone working on a Cain RPG jump? Or did I imagine that.

Maybe give her an ability to be as strong or stronger as she is in her kenshiro mode.

NGL hunters in general prolly would be down to jump with fairly minimal effort on jumper's part. Kinda their thing.

Can you add completely unexplained supernatural biology as a perk in your jump? Since nothing the Chimera Ants or other Dark Continent creatures are capable of has anything to do with aura, you should add the second power system in HxH as something we can take, since it's clearly the stronger one by far.

Somebody dropped a jumpdoc for cain on discord not so long ago. It isn't really super, but then again, there is not a lot of material to work with.

Without going to some semi-closed author discord, anyway.
>>
>>94837694
I feel like almost any hunter would be easy to convince, given it's an opportunity to find more of what they like doing/searching for. For Bisky specifically the chance to find all kinds of rare gems would probably enough.

>>94837870
And it would make for pretty meh perks, imo. Would you make a perk out of every feat you can get if you were making a dnd jump?

None of what was said is nitpicking like making perks for every feat.

Is there any real reason to bother with a standard magic system when you can just be a genie in Children of the Lamp and literally just wish for whatever you want?

Is there any reason to bother being a genie when you can just become Yog/a Hadou God and turn reality into your plaything?

Is there any reason to bother with Jumpchain when you can just write what you want freeform and not bother with any of the limitations of this CYOA format?

Yes. Yes there is a reason: fun. It's fun to play with these things. So we color within the lines, and play by the rules, and we have fun that way.
>>
Any sort of power limits or rules loosening perk so I can have Sting from Worm (safely) apply to melee weapons?
>>
>>94837789
Yeah. A lot of those "standard" magic systems have some asinine rules despite the spell crafting.
>>
People have mentioned their nen abilities for the HxH jump but what about good abilities for the parasitic Nen Beast you can buy?
>>
>>94838021
Anon Sting is effective of melee weapons, you dont need to throw the object your touching for the effect to take place, thats just the preffered method of Flechette to attack people in range.

If you wanted you could literally just wear gloves and apply the effect to it and then stab invulnerable people through the chest with your hand.
>>
>>94838021
I think there is a perk in seraph of the end jump that does that. Requires experimentation to trigger but you can just keep loosening the power rules until they fall away entirely if you want.

Probably decently workable for a Sniper, but not an active firefight.

Superspeed a-la the Sandevistan? It's unironically a crazy sort of power to pull out and could make a good bit of sense for a martial artist. And being able to just /go super fast/ on command can definitely let you hit way higher than your weight class; doesn't matter if your opponent pulls out some crazy exotic technique if you can just move fast enough to hit them before they use it.

...Just keep in mind that Hunter X Hunter has its own share of speedsters, so make your boost scale as a mult of your base speed-so you can keep getting faster as you grow stronger.

>Any ideas for Hatsu for a martial artist?
I mentioned it before but I personally I went with a Hatsu based on Ran form Jigokuraku, but stronger, which essentially is a combination of Transmuation and Enhancement to have his nen take the shape of extremly durable threads(like carbon nanothreads) that join together in ways similar to muscle fibers and form a perfect armor around the user that works fully in tune with the muscles to immensely increase all physical stats.

Another Idea I had would be a combination of Enhancement/Emission based on Mana Burst from the Nasuverse which allows for explosive movements by releasing nen like a jet burst from body parts, this doesen't just increase the user's speed but also the force of their attacks. You can also add transmutation to it if you want to for an elemental effect simialr to Mana Burst varities like Mana Burst(Flames), which can not only add further force but can also be used to add damaging traits to your strikes, like by hitting them with a fire enhanced punch or shooting them away with a burst of air, this can also be used defensively releasing nen against offensive attacks, like you could literally melt incoming bullets this ay.

>>
>>94838242
Counterpoint: Cheetu was a speedster based on his own raw stats and aura. He actually had a Conjurer-type Hatsu and was just really, really confident in his speed.

Be an Enhancer, and specifically enhance your speed. You'll (hopefully) be faster than Cheetu.

>>94838116

Given she is some type of mutant with 4 arms, two mouths and one of them in her belly. I would say she is inmune to normal diseases.
Is like Sukuna being inmune to poisons just because when his technique was not related to it.

Or maybe she could even copy Dr Blythe and treat herself with it.

When I reread his first fight I realized how obnoxiously powerful he was, he was so much faster than Morel and Knuckles that even when they foresaw his movements they were still so much slower that he could still easily dodge them, they hit him only once when he was surprised by Knuckles' clones, and then escaped to avoid being affected by Hakoware, showing uncharacteristic prudence. after that he has no more straightforward fights but unironically him and Zazan seemed more impressive than Youpi and Shaya, ignoring his cocoon.

I do have a soft spot in my heart for speedster shenanigans. I will admit my bias. It looks cool though).
>>
>>94838292
all you need for Sting to work is the body part you attack with to be covered in some clothing.
>>
>>94838266
That's already an ability nen users can kinda do. They shift the energy around their body to amplify certain parts at the expense of other parts, so you could put all your energy into your legs to run faster, all of it into your arms to hit faster etc.
>>
>>94838288

>>
>>94838288
Youpi was impressive. They only survived him for a few minutes by taking advantage of his rage issues, 0 experience fighting and Meleoron

Pouf was clearly not a fighter, but the impressive part of him is his manipulation only needs to breathe his scales to get controlled. And the only guy he properly fought was Morel lmao, who very well could have oxygen tanks instead of scales. And his beelcebub makes him almost inmortal. >lf Knuckles didn't manage to escape him numerous minutes offscreen

Wasn't that by actively not engaging, using meleoron and at some time Youpi hit him and Knuckles only survived because of APT?

>if Morel's smoke cage didn't completely ignore his explosion
That is a feat of Morel's smoke cage. It has the strong condition of trapping a long range fighter like him in a close space. So it should be busted.
>if shoot didn't manage to fight him as long as he did one
Again, in the manga those were 23 seconds (chapter 276) and Knuckle had to step in to distract youpi plus APT being a distraction itself. This is Youpi before his power up and his experience that let him become a better fighter mid fight. Shoot reached his limit in 23 seconds and his ability was perfect to resist as he was flying
>Maybe I'm misremembering but wasn't it mentioned that shaia's scale were truly effective only on already fatigued targets?

It's not just that, it's also that the spider calmly mention how they're faster than sound and hundreds of chapter later Netero is revealed to have had an incredible breakthrough that made his fists faster than sound, it's how Killua before having nen can lift 16 tons but later Hisoka vs Chrollo wants to make relevant copies of random civilians, Chrollo is a specialist so implying his enhancement and emission are so high he was buffing all of them is ridiculous, and it's called out how much a human head weigts, when Killua uses 15 kg yo yo. Generally it seems Togashi isn't really sure on the power levels. The same is true for the power progression, where before having nen Gon breaks Illumi's arm, only to be revealed next arc being far weaker than a janitor of the Zoldick, after that he's far weaker than randos with nen, after that he's far weaker than the spider but can still hurt them, after that things start breaking down as on greed island he and Killua re revealed being low tier trash, and after Biski's trainin they become stronger than Tzeguerra, an high toer hunter among those who entered greed island, high tier hunters, but next arc they're trash for other hunters like Knuckle.

I put it down for a little bit to work on Jumpchain stuff. I'm a little disappointed that the game went through all that "We're going to rapidly kill off a bunch of party members for the emotional trauma" only to have them show back up again in rapid succession. I wish they'd stuck to their guns and shown world saving to be as dangerous as it really was. The kind of adventure that occasionally costs lives.
I'm sure they'll have me "unstone" the twins pretty soon at this rate.
Also, going to the moon in a space whale to collect a wizard so you can break into the tower that's trying to get to the moon is the weirdest plot point I've seen in a long time.

>Wasn't that by actively not engaging, using meleoron and at some time Youpi hit him and Knuckles only survived because of APT?
You are thinking of the first part, where yes, he's grazed once and is saved by APT and the rest is Mereolon, but after they meet for the second time he straight up escape him for 2.56.33 minutes completely alone until he's tricked (I find funny how Shaia should be the smart one but Youpi straight up bait and trick Knuckle) and need to be bailed out by Killua.
>That is a feat of Morel's smoke cage. It has the strong condition of trapping a long range fighter like him in a close space. So it should be busted. It is but Morel was at thirty percent and Youpi's explotion, wich explicitely cost him much aura even for him, failed to damage his cage.
I know (I even thought it was less seconds) but he's a royal guard with already a powerful ability, a random hunter stopping him for so long is sad to me, at least Shaia is a support type.
>I don't remember it either. The only thing I remember is that it needs to bne breathed and that Pouf wanted Morel to talk so he would swallow a few of them and Morel knew beforehand about it. I don't remember that desu

>>
>>94838720
It actually doesn't, because that's just a Solider token vs the Human Solider tokens she makes and needs. Though given that you're spending ten mana to make it happen, it probably should.

To get that mana, you'd presumably be using Raise Manse to get lands that produce more than one mana at a time.
>>
>>94838815
Any toon physics perks. Just play up the horror.
>>
>>94838763
Fun fact: bludgers are balls of solid iron traveling at a casual 80 mph. Wizards regularly endure impacts from these things as part of their favorite sports. Directly to the cranium. And frequently just walk it off. All that to say: HP wizards are a whole lot more durable than people tend to give them credit for. I wouldn't be surprised if small arms fire just bounced off them-probably horribly bruising and maybe even cracking a rib or something, but not actually penetrating.

A high-calibur bullet or sniper shot to the head would definitely be enough to overcome that durability and instantly put them down, but the point still stands.
>>

It might be interesting for Raise Manse to be cheap to bring in and have a cost to add the counter to the land, and give the option to pay part of the Manse token cost in food. Or maybe it gets cheaper to create the Manse if the land you’re targeting has been hit with Empire In The Making with higher levels giving a bigger discount.

Well, I'm certainly going to do my best. But it had more to do with the fact that I like switching up my activities during the day than anything else.
>form fitting clothing
Mundain seems pretty light on clothing even at the fanciest of times. Partly because everyone is living in an enterally tropical zone of the planet (except those northern castles, but nobody goes there) and partly because all the animals that traditionally made wool and leather are now centaurs. So some families hand down clothing as prized possessions like other people do wealth.
TLDR version of why that is: The Gods are dicks.

Genuinely would have an easy time assuming they're somewhat prepared for battle, as there are spells to look out for danger for you, spells that sharpen your senses, spells that detect the presence of othrs and the like, and once the Harry Potter Wizard knows the swat team is near they can easily do stuff like turn invisible/undetectable, teleport away, be protected by a spherical forcefield impossible to break without magic or even one that just burns people who attack it to death.

Even if you're not prepared just reacting as soon as you see them to get yourself out of danger is enough. And it would be casual for any trained wizard to just take out a bunch of non wizards by paralyzing/stunning them or various lethal alternatives.

Yeah, you can’t throw Benediction around lightly. If you’re careful it’s a nice buff though. Also Benediction can be targeted at enemy lands, which would really mess up someone running a Black deck. And now I’m thinking about how Oricalchum Lotus could really mess up the Demon Lord in MtG MGE if she can equip the Five Purities Nimbus and get the mana to fire it off every turn.

>That said, having Raise Manse be another enchantment that is cheaper to cast if the target land has City/Empire/Food/Plains counters on it already would be viable.

Depends on which one knows the other's coming. High-tier HP wizard would have a lot of spells cast on the environment and themselves if they have the prep time to do so, which could fuck over the swat team real bad.
On the other hand, if the swat team smashes down the door and tosses a flashbang in the wizard's face while they're cooking breakfast, they're likely down and out right there. Maybe they get a few spells off, depending what they can do wandless or how quickly they can draw their wand.
>>
>>94838998
No you recall people claiming she said this. But there is no evidence she ever did and it doesn't fit her portrayal of muggles in the books at all where the general theme is that non-magical are helpless against magic.
The literal second chapter includes Hagrid being threatened with a rifle and casually disregarding it.

And that's ignoring stuff like Castle Makai or Lilim that can buff other Succubus.

>You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago — the precise date is uncertain — by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. The four school Houses are named after them: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. They built this castle together, far from prying Muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution.

I mean, he was one of the greatest wizards of the time alongside them, so they were willing to work with them, though he eventually wasn't able to cope with them not accepting his racism and left the school, leaving behind the Chamber of Secrets and the Basilisk there for a future descendant of himself to use to kill the muggleborns.

To be fair, you have to go to ONE of the houses. It's not like every member of a House is an exemplar of their House trait. There have to be people who aren't particularly Brave, Intelligent, Loyal, or Cunning and they just have to be sorted to whichever one barely fits them.

>The first years all filed into the Great Hall apprehensively as McGonagall explained about the four houses. Milo mentally filed them into: house for the PCs, house for the villains, and two NPC houses to make up the numbers. Fair enough.
>>
>>94839288
True that. Mind you, Five Purities Nimbus also has “Convert target Black land to Plains” and “Put a +1/+1 counter on all creatures player controls”, so even if the direct damage effect doesn’t go through it would still be powerful.
>>
>>94839328
Is it though? Because I haven't seen any indication that purebloods fare better in the magical arts than the others.

The +1 effect is honestly more dangerous than than Plains effect. If you attacked and cast that in the same turn it would probably deal quite a bit of damage.

I mean, yes and no. It kind of depends on how many mana Nimbus costs to cast. Based on your comment about high cost high effect spells, I'm expecting at least five or six. Which means that in theory I would have five or six black mana to match it, and black's biggest guns in that set only need BBB to cast. So one of my lands being a different color doesn't matter as long as I still have three of them.

The main problem with actually using them is that I would need to learn how to use Cockatrice in order to add custom cards/mechanics to the game. Which I'm avoiding, because it sounds like a pain in the ass.
>>
>>94839430
You want to make a small jump you pick a small subject for it. If you pick a larger one don't go crying when people criticise you for not covering major aspects of it. Actually we see in one single scene of part three Dio using hermit purple-like tendrils to scry through a photo, implying that's Jonathan's stand.

If Oricalchum Lotus is allowed to build up to the point that she can fire off her land stealing every turn, that might not last.

>The main problem with actually using them is that I would need to learn how to use Cockatrice in order to add custom cards/mechanics to the game. Which I'm avoiding, because it sounds like a pain in the ass.

>>
>>94839568
No? Why are you acting like people being unhappy about bare minimum coverage is new or something only a couple people care about. Okay for reference what this >>94838144 did is basically
>Pathfinder jump
>pay for class levels
>adventurer origin (4 perks)
>other faction origin (4 perks)
>bad guy origin (4 perks)
does that help you understand better my issues with it? It's literally just the bare minimum, while avoiding most of the cool shit.
>>
>>94839593
Oricalchum Lotus isn't part of the mge set, I don't need to balance around her. That said, yes. Especially if in her un-nerfed state.
>>

>>
>>94839613
Oh sure, I was just commenting on what she’d be like there. Ironically she’d probably get along well with the Mamono.
>>
>>94837870
That just leads to bloat. If you're going to offer standard abilities, there's no reason to list out every possibility instead of a general purchase that can be used to get a variety of things. The recent HxH jump we just got only lists a few examples of Hatsu and lets you purchase more with a widely applicable perk. Lots of shonen jumps are similar.

>>94839596
NTA, but there's nothing wrong with that. Making origins for classes is pretty silly, since everything is either 1) inherent to progression in the class or 2) completely OC. Quite a few D&D jumps opt not to make class-based origins for this reason. What you're asking is for people to MISREPRESENT the setting by allowing you to start with more or stronger things than a starting character in the setting would actually have. Pathfinder is a really good example of this, since almost all of the class-based perks are OC fiat which have the end-result of effectively making you into a god.
>>
>>94839630

>>94839641
There is no reason not to offer perks for sins. Not even a single perk for each of them or anything. The only reason you wouldn't is because you're anal about not offering them because you fight them as a PC.
>bloat
Entirely subjective so I'm not even gonna argue that. Some people bitch about Bleach being bloated, yet I see people making builds from all over different parts of it so clearly it's a good thing it's all there.
>>
>>94839663
This is part of the problem. You want people to frontload progression in an RPG. When that is pretty much entirely contrary to the design principles of an RPG. Jumpmakers who carer to you would inherently be working against the goals of the IP.

raw no, since its not weapon damage, but I dont think anyone would care if you just wanked to count as bludgeoning damage which is covered, but I guess it depends how you wank you got that resistance lorewise.
>>
>>94839843
Unassailable (Cost: 600 Cp, Discount: Noble) you find yourself unable to
be harmed by lesser beings. Non-magical weapons and physical attacks
effects upon you are greatly reduced. You have some sort of Damage
reduction upon you. A normal man with a sword or bow will usually be
unable to hurt you. Their blades will not cut you and their arrows will
fail to pierce you. However weapons made or coated with silver will
affect you normally and a powerful enough weapon or attacker even
with non-magical weapons still will hurt you though the damage they do
may be reduced. On top of this you are extremely resilient, even against
magical weapons and powerful beings you are as tough to harm as if you
were wearing heavy armor.
I am unsure because of how it specifically mentions attacks by beings. Might just be me being autistic but wanted a second opinion anyway.
>>
>>94839835
Quick google search tells me you take 1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it is for a max of 20d6 damage. So if you have more then 120 health you should be ok.

Depends heavily on the wizard. A regular civilian wizard? They get absolutely mowed down since most wizards aren't able to cast more than basic household charms. It's rare for wizards to know more than a basic stunner and non-combatant wizards are easily panicked and confused. On the other hand, an Auror like Mad-Eye Moody could body an entire SWAT unit by himself in seconds with trivial ease. And I doubt monsters like Voldemort or Dumbledore could even be stopped by mobilizing the entire country's military against them. The best you could hope for is slowing them down.

I can't even understand what people see in being the girl, though did I not yearn for that myself in my purest, most natural state?

Well, heck I need to do that when I play again. The closest I came to this was in DnD when I enchanted a ring with a continuous level 1 cure minor wounds for 1d8+1 hp per round. They are crazy cheap to make. You can go for the much cheaper 1hp per round, but that is mostly only good out of combat.

Morrowind's are strongest, strictly speaking, but Morrowind also has spell reflect on some mobs, while in Oblivion 1-2 combo of Weakness to Magic + Weakness to Element followed by 100Pts damage of your choice kills pretty much everything without the risk of backlash.

[Transformers: Alternity redux]

I stared at the future of all possible realities for the future of Cybertronians. Inevitably, all Cybertronians of sound judgement and rational action would be elevated to join an achronal hivemind of their peers as a sub-hivemind comprised of all their alternate selves. The hivemind was self-regulating and capable of meeting almost all resource needs, making the fact that individuality was technically retained...acceptable. Elodie had certainly found it acceptable enough to take notes for future hivemind uplift programs for humans, demons, anthropomorphic talking mice, and other sentient beings. And I too, saw it was good.

Mostly.

"I've been thinking about the Night on Bald Mountain incident" I confessed to Gar and Blaize as they supervised the hunting of the Vok, one of the remaining existential threats I was directing the Alternity to eliminate. "About half-measures, and how such things cannot be reconciled with a perfect reality"

"Um, I don't think achronal robot hiveminds count as a half-measure to solving resource shortages, master" said Gar.

"It's all relative" I said dismissively. "In a sane, deterministic reality yes, that would be the be-all and the end-all. But that's the fundamental problem behind why I'm doing all of this. Reality is NOT sane or deterministic. There are vast and terrible forces beyond the narrow span of cause and effect that transcend the limits of science and magic but NOT will, and had Megatron seized one the hivemind would have been threatened. And above and beyond them all, is the very principle of that chaos"

I gestured. The veil of reality parted to reveal the baleful glare of the cosmic destroyer.

"Unicron continues to exist in his qlippoth" I said dispassionately. "No matter how many emanations of his I knock down, he emanates more. Just as I generate avatars"

YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, said the Benefactor. It was not a question.

"Yes"

First Anon here. 1d8+1 is the most basic of healing. The top tier of healing is 4d8+20 for a cleric. That is if I am remembering it right. The original item could be crafted by a first level cleric and be used for their order. The latter spell would cost 1,440,000gp to make.
>>
>>94840712
A Ring of Regeneration is 90k GP, and it's generally advised to not offer cheaper and more powerful alternatives to already existing items using the magic item creation rules.

>>94840717
1d8 per round is easily enough to effortlessly survive combat against anything below 6th level and to easily survive things up to 10th. Most campaigns don't actually get to that high of a level

Sorry, that's a Ring of Regeneration, a 90k gold item with a couple benefits including regenerating limbs... very slowly, and of course regenerating a bonus 1hp of nonlethal damage/round. From the moment I entered the other reality, it was jerryrigged with space-time errors. As Gar yelled a parade of gigantic robot destroyers that had yet to be built and Blaize noclipped through herself, I remained calm and analysed the situation. It appeared to be an application of a universe-destroying weapon.

"Gar. Blaize. Stop fighting, and go with the flow" I ordered. I cast forth my Empyreal Invincibility Declaration to shield them from the worst of the space-time disruptions, and started sending them Tidings of a Bitter Seasoned-ciphered telepathic instructions to avoid detection.

"Bad start, master. What do we do next?" asked Gar as a distant object blueshifted towards us.

"Leave this universe"

"What?!"

"Specifically to THIS universe, where you can collect the key to victory over Primacron. Oh, and take Vector Sigma with you"

"But this avatar is only human!"

I brandished the Matrix. "That's all I need to be"

>>94840733
That is a regeneration ring and regrows limbs. The common healing does not do that.

The blueshifting object decelerated. "I AM. MULTICRON. I AM TO UNICRON WHAT GALVATRON IS TO MEGATRON. I HAVE BEEN. /UPGRADED/. WITH SUB-CRONS, AFTER MY FAILED REBELLION. PREPARE TO DIE" droned a great sphere seething with malice and humiliation. as it started pooping smaller, angrier Unicrons. Behind it, other objects were blueshifting into existence.

"I AM CHRONOCRON, THE DEVOURER OF TIME. DIE FOR ALL ETERNITY" a planet sized clock droned.

"I AM CROHNCRON. I AM THE BEARER OF A DISEASE THAT HAS NO MEANING TO THE MECHANICAL. SUFFER, ORGANIC" droned a great cloud of cosmic pestilence.

"Hi! I'm Croncroncron, and I'm just happy to be here" said an underwhelming goofy-looking object. It was like the GoBot of Unicrons.

Gar and Blaize looked at each other. "...we COULD take them" said Blaize. "Not worth it. See you on the flipside, master" said Gar firmly, dragging her away.

Planet-cracking blasts of energy skimmed past me as I flew straight towards Primacron. Cascades of lightning shattered nebulae as I duck, wove-and then absorbed energy to construct into a magnetic field just to show I could. Fastcron, the most agile of the Unicron-model destroyers, smugly intercepted me-but I simply passed through him like he wasn't there to land before his creator.

"You've arrived as I calculated down to the attosecond" he said, with an artisan's professional respect. "Together, overthrowing my creator would be a certainty"

"Completely unacceptable. Oracle or prime mover, I respect Primus far more than I ever could some mere master of the material" I said dismissively.

"That too, is within my calculations" he said, snapping his fingers. A turret fired tachyons struck me.

>Magic Must Defeat Magic, Jackie Chan Adventures

"I think you'll find I'm immune to science" I said. He nodded amiably. Another turret fired dark magic at me.

>Gift of the Twilight Imperium, Mahou Sensei Negima

"Magic, as well"

He nodded amicably. "And what, pray tell, of Angolmois energy?" he asked as his entire lair transformed into an array of turrets that, I was impressed to realise, actually COULD immobilise my avatar. "You see. I've studied the energy makeup of my creator for a long time. I understand now, how immaculate divinity lives and breathes. And what can be understood, can be controlled. My old models? Merely a distraction for THIS, the Tzimtzum-o-Matic, that which shatters even divinity down to it's smallest components for me to utilise. Your so-called chain, your jumps. I will use you to unlock horizons beyond this world" he said with mounting glee.

"I have to hand it to you" I admitted, as wavelengths of proto-Unicron energy threatened to scour me down to my component quarks, "it's been a long time since anyone has meaningfully threatened an avatar of mine". I admired how the process expertly bypassed even the Eightfold Mark I had placed myself by replicating the unity of divinity. "I salute your mastery of the scientific craft"

"And yet, you're clearly confident you still hold the upper hand" mused Primacron. "May I ask if it has anything to do with that old relic of my master's on you?"

"In part. As you well know, the first limitation of science is that you're limited by the constraints of what's physically possible. The Matrix of Leadership defines those limits"

"Then I'll be retrieving it from you. And the second?"

"Well, the second is that you can only reverse engineer what you reliably observe. And my allies should be returning from your previous universe of occupation, far beyond your current ability to observe...now" I said as Gar and Blaize re-entered. reality.

"ANON WE'VE GOT THE GOLDEN POWER NOW YOU'VE GOT IT YOU'VE GOT THE POWER" they yelled.

"And I've got the Touch. How about that?" I said, as the Matrix of Leadership underwent a shocking transformation from the power beamed into it.

Ordinarily, it would normally take a much more powerful artifact to take advantage of this transformation. But one of my ontological weapons retroactively set into motion an anomalous gamma ray burst that may or may not have been sent directly from Primus to indirectly punish his disloyal pet had endowed the Matrix with cosmic creative energy as I'd flown through it on the way. Ordinarily this transformation could not be applied to humans. But another of my ontological weapons gave me distant common ancestry to Cybertronians. And ordinarily, all the laws of science would point to some higher purpose being required to wield such power effectively. But a third ontological weapon ensured I took full control from the start-and a fourth ascended me from human to energy being just because I could.

"Ah yes, hmm now I see I miscalculated the dimensional fluid dynamics-" were Primacron's last words before I wiped away his free will, and had him kneel before me. His shocked creations quickly followed.

"In penance for your disruptive hubris, I task you with carrying out my will" I declared to Primacron. "With Vector Sigma here, you will improve the base specs of the nascent Cybertronian race so that ALL Cybertronians will have capabilities equal to Unicron, then unlock the Star Power inherent in the universe. To see if someday, a causal link between godhead and matter can be established. MULTICRON, STOP TRYING TO SNEAK OFF, I have a different purpose for you"

"WHAT. PURPOSE?" asked Multicron as his peers closed in on him.

"You are not a part of the Unicron Singularity" I told him as the power of the Gold Matrix manifested soul-vivisecting equipment around myself.

"THE WHAT? THERE IS ONLY ONE MULTICRON-"

"Incorrect. But irrelevant. I'm going to use Minicron essence to MAKE you part of it as a deterrent to ever manifesting in reality again"

And the true Unicron screamed in agony as I started torturing the newest addition to it's collective.

Problem: WBL tables and the rule not to let PCs have any single magic item costing more than half their wealth means the PC can only afford said ring of regeneration at 15th level. For, again, 1hp/round. And for 3hp/round, you have to be level 20 and that's IF your DM will even allow epic magic items prior to epic levels. If that isn't grossly overpriced I don't know what is.

I've been watching these videos by a dude called The Old Knight whose whole channel is about explaining Oblivion mechanics. In combat they definitely are the strongest they've been cuz in Morrowind a pure mage has a lot of trouble dealing with daedra and some boss enemies like Almalexia can be a bit rough. Finite Magicka per fight without spamming potions is a pain in the ass even when you have like 1000 Magicka.

It's still only really useful for out of combat healing since it would take an action to activate and 1d8+1 is basically nothing at any point beyond level 2 or 3, plus given how the action economy works and how healing is virtually always outstripped by DPS it's almost never worthwhile to cast a healing spell / use a healing item in combat vs just hitting the opponent again and killing them faster.

It was very clearly written for a younger audience than me, but it was quite well done for what it was. The glazing for Shadow is off the charts, like how Vergil was glazed in DMC 5, even though I'd argue in-universe Shadow is even more miserable than he was in his debut game just because he doesn't have fat bat tats as emotional support.

Like people involved in Monsterverse, it took the Sonic folks a while but they finally figured out the correct way to handle the franchise is to go full balls to the wall.

Yes, that's how the official campaigns are balanced, but Wealth by Level is outright stated to just be a guideline in the DM Guide, something used to control a party's power.

Anyone here with in depth knowledge of J.C. Avatar?

Likr I been playing the frontiers game and it really highlights how shitty the rda is. Like you come to this new planet and start drilling for oil? Do your machines even use oil?

And why are all the machines and outposts made by the rda literally sucking the life out of everything around them? They build a base and the local pollution levels turn everything into a toxic wasteland that kills everything that sets foot in it immediately but somehow the local ecosystem can pop back the very second you turn off their technology?

I cant tell whats meant to be canon and whats ubisoft being ubisoft (like them giving navi eagle vision has got to be ubisoft but a swarm of football sized moth/bee hybrids could very well be canon)

And it makes a huge point about how humans cant breath local air and navi cant breath human air but there is a gas to air mixture that works perfectly fine for both in the local navi/human resistance outposts.

Ikran/banshees are cool though. Love those weird fuckers. So tldr: why is the rda seemingly purposefully built to fuck themselves and everything around them over?

Drilling for oil is definitely noncanon. The RDA is on Pandora to acquire rare resources, not stuff that could likely be synthesized easily and definitely isn't worth the cost to ship it back to earth.

I'd just assume that everything about the games is noncanon, since if they WERE doing all that bullshit then they would've had all-out war with the Navi earlier than when it happened in the movie

Why can't Unicron just not accept the Multicron?
>>
>>94841099
Personally I believe they were written in the movies to basically just be the evil strawman there for the Navi to overcome and inevitably destroy/route thanks to the main character. Despite the humans massive technological advantage. They don't really write a lot of the human characters with much nuance beyond "humanity bad" mostly or about colonialism while holding up the navi to be basically near perfect in every way compared to the stinky dumb humans who are so greedy and not connected with nature.

>how shitty the rda is
From what I gathered in the movies, initial first contact was peaceful but there were some radical misunderstandings about how important the spirit tree was that led to Na'vi opening hostilities and ruining further coexistence. The RDA in it's current state in the movies is the result of the humans needing a military outpost that can't pull it's punches.
>drilling for oil
Yeah that's noncanon to the movies, their shit is supposed to run on unobtanium not oil.
>literally sucking the life out of everything around them
China-tier industrialist accelerationism, I suppose. In the first movie the military is very definitely fighting a losing land war against the ecosystem with most of their dominance coming from air support, and in the second movie they've upgraded their technology enough to have more automation as well as go in guns blazing from the start so the destruction is more widespread
>eagle vision
Ubisoft
>swarm of football sized moth/bee hybrids
Not canon, but like you said easily fits in
>gas to air mixture
Yeah that's definitely not human, even in the second movie a human who lives on Pandora needs a mask to breathe there
>why is the rda
Like the other anons said, because they are essentially Captain Planet villains in a movie that is trying to get you to sympathise with the environment.

For the same reason Unicron either cannot or would not be an exception to the cessation of multiversal singularities during the Shroud. Or for that matter, why one severed Unicron was ultimately "corrupted" by a spark of goodness in the Primax -408.24 Epsilon universe. And has to date, faced no corrective response from the true Unicron.

https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Primax_-408.24_Epsilon

The thing about cosmic entities in Transformers is that it's entirely possible to overpower them if you just use the right, elementally antithetical macguffin on them with enough cosmic energy behind it. There is no hard and fast rule about even the prime movers being sovereign from cosmic events. Even if you assert there is a single Unicron/Primus beyond all other Unicron/Primuses, that doesn't change the fact that how they interact with existence can and has been fucked around with against their will several times.

I'm gonna be honest. I'd really like that if they gave a bit of nuance but I don't believe it for a second they'd show the Navi being evil to any meaningful degree or the humans with any real point/nuance.
>>
>>94841191
>supposed
Man they're going to have to do some EXTREMELY profound backtracking to earn that portrayal, after how monomaniacally anti-industry the past two movies and all tie-in content I'm aware of has been. Like at this point you would have to show a Na'vi eating a human baby to contradict the intended (emphasis, INTENDED) message of the movies when the second one literally ended with Sigourney Weaver's character being reincarnated as an Avatar expy who seemingly has the literal blessing of Eywa.

That's more because they don't care than anything else. There's no real indication that Sephirot!Primus...does anything outside of being the ultimate afterlife where all non-Unicron derived things go to return to the Matrix. This isn't an entity that does things like the Primus we know or his avatars but is more like how God is depicted in the Kabbala from what I understand, an unknowable mystery and wholeness beyond experience that we all derive from

Making evil Na'vi is as simple as making them destructive warmongers. The big reason the RDA are hated is because they want to destroy the spirit trees with their unobtanium mining (which they don't even need since they eventually synthesize room temperature superconductors on their own) and are perfectly willing to slash and burn their way through Na'vi tribes and whole ecosystems to do so. It wouldn't take much to make a group of Na'vi just as bad, especially if Clone!Quaritch ends up leading them.

But...the Na'vi /have/ gone to total war with the RDA several times, both at the end of the first movie where the actual wildlife teamed up with them and in the prologue to the second where Jake only stopped because he realised they were losing the war the moment humanity decided it wasn't worth watching out for collateral damage anymore. Like the premise of the second movie isn't that Jake is trying to limit human casualties, it's that he seriously thinks the Na'vi-human war has reached the point where his particular tribe is going to lose.

That's the thing, Shard. I don't think they care because it literally doesn't matter/they might not even be self-aware as we understand it. The loss of Primus and Unicron avatars doesn't harm or impact the greater totalities of either and the Sephirot!Primus is implicitly beyond even that because it's where everything goes after passing on and that hasn't changed. The loss, addition, or alteration of avatars of either doesn't impair the greater Singularities in canon and even the Shroud implicitly didn't fully disable them and it did shit for all to the Sephirot because it still exists unaltered based on post-Shroud stories.

That's not warmongering Shard, that's a defensive war because THE RDA WILL LITERALLY MURDER THEIR SPECIES AND PLANET IF NOT STOPPED. I am talking about potential evil Na'vi being just as bad as the RDA by abusing or killing other tribes in aggressive expansionist tactics. What every other tribe has been doing has been fighting back because either they do so or the RDA kills them then stripmines their planet's corpse.

I will note that depending on what interpretation you take and what AVP says, The One is actually YOUNGER than True Primus and Unicron. The earliest mention of it is the original Mafvel storyline where it was born as the sentient core of the newly reborn multiverse after Unicron (in his sealed state mind you) had eaten everything and went to sleep. AVP also states that it's a case of "some universes" birthing a "Universal Mind" to defend against Unicron's incursion.

We don't actually know for certain where the True Primus and Unicron came from.

Yeah that sounds about right, I mean logically if you assume there is a Unicron and a Primus outside of all existence then logically they're "older" than the universe and in most settings the One is "just" the sentience of the universe. I believe in DK Ultimate Guide it's explicitly stated the One existed before Unicron and Primus so there's at least one interpretation that reconciles all this, but it's all just kind of a mess.

I don't see why Unicron would care that you'd stapled something he doesn't like to him. He's just going to get mad/silently observe then keep destroying things. He didn't seethe at all when the multiverse reformed around him from a few small particles he missed after he'd eaten it, he just woke up and immediately started destroying it again. Unicron doesn't have a mindset that lends itself to the sort of transcendental temper tantrums you think it does. Its thought-processes are explicitly alien even to the other cosmic entities in the setting and that's just the version that actually talks to people.

>I've seen some contradictory information about this, specifically in the case of good Unicron/evil Primus
The Shattered Glass continuity variants don't really impact anything. They're just inverted versions of the usual avatars due to disconnection from the Singularity. It's very likely that if they were reconnected, they'd probably just automatically be reconverted to be in line with the greater whole.

>I believe in DK Ultimate Guide it's explicitly stated the One existed before Unicron and Primus so there's at least one interpretation that reconciles all this, but it's all just kind of a mess.
DK Ultimate Guide, The Covenant of Primus, and the Precursor World all have the One as the first existing cosmic force but the circumstances vary. In the Ultimate Guide, it initially created Unicron as a probe to explore the newborn universe then split him in half because reasons so Unicron and Primus would fight as the perfect balance of Chaos and Order implicitly making it tge cause of all strife in the universe. In the Covenant of Primus, it was one being who split into two diametrically opposed personalities and in the Precirsor World, it's an entirely separate thing called G One who made the Seven Lights, the fundamental forces of the primordial multiverse and whose creation the Oracke was lifted the Golden Power to protect his Angolmois Energy core, eventually christening himself "Primus". In the latter, Unicron isn't even a thing.

I'll also add that if we go by the original Marvel run where True Primus and Unicron were introduced, then we actually hear about True Primus from Unicron himself and them facing each other BEFORE we have the thing with the old multiverse getting eaten by Unicron and Primus being created as a counter being revealed. And since that was done by the sealed Unicron, that means that this battle with True Primus chronologically happened prior to Unicron getting sealed, meaning True Primus existed entirely separate from the Primus created in the current multiverse by The One.

>I don't see why Unicron would care
I prefer to save post space when I think a conflict is probably going to extend past a single jump, but the specifics of the torture I'm inflicting on him are similar to Infernal Investments in oWoD and the machine Darkseid used to violate the Source in The New Gods 1995 #1. I am essentially using Multicron as a kind of clarktech voodoo doll to attack the true Unicron with True Fath/Telos in way antithetical to his fundamental concepts. I'm not sure if I've made this clear by namedropping Charms, but I'm going about this with a lot more in mind than just what I have in my Transformers builds-the G1 instance of which alone already gives me leeway to play fast and loose with metaphysics and power interactions.

>Its thought-processes are explicitly alien even to the other cosmic entities in the setting and that's just the version that actually talks to people.
VERY UNTRUE depending on which Unicrons are talking about. And before we get back to the Robot Qlippoth thing, if we're gauging these entities in terms of how their true selves interact with other beings we'd end up at square 1 because like you said, the true Unicron/Primus don't interact with anything. So all we have to judge them by is the "emanations" of Unicron/Primus, and the vast majority of Unicrons are smug asshats who decry all lesser beings and insects. If we're judging from, say, Transformers Prime or more relevantly G1 Unicron very much throws tantrums when he's rendered helpless.

>The Shattered Glass continuity variants don't really impact anything.
Well for one thing it directly shows a Unicron and a Primus being affected by the strengthening of dimensions, and introduces a third peer to Primus and Unicron in Gaea. I don't remember anything from there distinguishing "god" singularities from regular singularities

>It's very likely
I'd reserve judgement until seeing it given the entire notion of a good Unicron is already an absurd outcome.

I'm aware of all that yeah, I did allude to the Seven Lights. Also technically Unicron WASN'T a thing in the Japanese G1 continuity...until Primacron went and invented him in a subsequent reality.

>And since that was done by the sealed Unicron, that means that this battle with True Primus chronologically happened prior to Unicron getting sealed, meaning True Primus existed entirely separate from the Primus created in the current multiverse by The One
I emphasised DK Ultimate Guide specifically because instead of just being at the BEGINNING of time, it states the One was there BEFORE time rather than just being at the start of linear time or from exactly one previous universe ago. I figure if everyone involved is achronal, the Primus-Unicron-One family tree looks more like a bunch of venn diagrams even if you assume Primus and Unicron aren't just the One split in half, with all of them recursively creating each other (well, Primus and the One anyway while Unicron just wrecks shit)

Fair enough with your build stuff.

>VERY UNTRUE depending on which Unicrons are talking about.
I was mostly just citing broad lore which goes to great lengths to establish how unnatural everything about Unicron is, I'm aware of how he acts in most of the media. The version most in line with what is stated about his mentality is the original Marvel UK version overall, but there are descriptions of Unicron as something entirely unfathomable in a good deal of other stuff.

>Well for one thing it directly shows a Unicron and a Primus being affected by the strengthening of dimensions
That's not unique to them even pre-Shroud, that's just what happens to things cut off from the Singularity. They can have different morals or personalities from the Singularity proper due to quantum field nonsense separating them from it. The only reason SG Unicron and Primus are inversions is purely because they're not tied to the greater Singularities.

>and introduces a third peer to Primus and Unicron in Gaea.
She's not even the first. A lot of people forget that Atlas was a thing in G1.

No it's a pro traditionalist, nationalist, and spiritualist film. The RDA is the literal globohomo who views everyone and everything as interchangable cogs to make line go up. The Navi meanwhile are a traditional society that wishes to preserve their culture and home. It is really the perfect filter since it tricks all the pseuds who don't understand the values they supposedly embrace.

>So how the hell does Starcream think he can usurp an unmoving and violently mood swinging planet?
The funny thing is that is actually entirely on-brand for Starscream. He's even somewhat successful when written by the Japanese. In short: Starscream is 1. a member of a species with technology so advanced that with the right energy fields, lost knowledge or artifacts they can do something like push a button to siphon a god's energy, 2. so supremely confident for a guy known for backstabbing that it apparently transcends mortality and causes him to come back as a Ghost Transformer and 3. a giant robot who can turn into a jet that can fly through space.

>Who the ell is even going to be living there?
"MEEEEEEEEEEE! STARSCREAM!!!" he probably thinks in his little robot head. Starscream is very much a look out for number 1 kind of guy who would stare at a bipolar glitching planet and immediately decide to try wheedling his way into it's good graces before going for the backstab.

Should jumpmakers know something like the back of their hand? Or is it okay to have only gone through something once or twice?
>>
>>94841765
In canon, do people with levels in the 700s actually show up, or is this out-of-jump stuff letting you go beyond limits?
>>
>>94841277
I remember asking you about an aesthetic toggle like the slave harem jump does it, but you said something about it "making things darker".
I think we were looking at the wrong things, this is what I meant.
>This world is designed around a Japanese aesthetical sense for what they would consider a high fantasy world. These include making everything overly cute and sandpapering the differences between various races, as well the bland labyrinth designs. With this drawback you're able to remake the world into something that you find aesthetically pleasing, while not changing the setting. With this labyrinths could have various different floor designs, the various tribes now look less human at a glance, and ect. The world is yours to repaint just remember to thin your paints.
>>
>>94841810
I think it is generally useful to have a comprehensive knowledge of things, but it isn't always feasible, and jumpmakers, especially ones that make many jumps, are likely to forget details over time.
>>
>>94841660
>Need to read more on the setting to say what actually happens, beyond a bad day for the uncreatively named 'Empire'.
Yeah there's some uncreative naming going on, and even a bit of odd art at one point (the map used to depict Lucca is the same one used to show the southern city, when they are two distinct locations)

Thanks for the build!
>>
>>94841810
If you can make a PDF that fulfils 3 out of the 4 following criteria,

>Is entertaining to read
>Provides internally balanced options that aren't effectively worthless upon departing the jump, and aren't basic traits of individual thing-types in a setting unless (potentially) the thing-type is unique and exceptionally as to wrap the entire story around itself if operating normally
>Makes an effort to explain the setting, either in notes, the locations segment, or notes
>Is easy to understand enough that I'm not confused by what individual perks/items/drawbacks do

Then I generally don't care if you don't know literally everything ever about the setting. It's supposed to be an imagination game, not a railroaded DnD campaign. It can be helpful to know everything, but it's not strictly speaking necessary to enjoy the jump as presented
>>
>>94841831
>jumpmakers... are likely to forget details over time

>>
>>94841765
Thank for the build.

>>94841816
Yeah I saw that, I just don't really get what you exactly want out of it. The toggle itself seems to make it so things are less cute and racial disparities are a thing (thus my comment about things being darker), and makes the labyrinth designs less bland. There's no real equivalent of labyrinths, and there is already racial tensions. So I am struggling to understand what you want it to do.

Because he literally cannot possibly know enough about 1000+ settings to ever actually have an informed opinion on them. Therefore, he just make shit up based on a passing familiarity he can get from skimming and memes. It doesn't help that he actually has really bad taste, she he semi-consciously misinterprets what he does know about settings he doesn't like in order to rationalize his own feelings, which he then reflects in his chain even more severely to justify his jumper's actions which are in universe supposed to be irrational, stupid, hypocritical, and self-sabotaging, yet the man cannot for the life of him present himself as wrong even when he knows he is because he actively set out to do so.

Thing is, Shard either doesn't use those perks or he's selective in enforcing them. If he was consistent in their use, he'd never eat shit in any Kirby, Sonic, or general Nintendo jump like he does. And when it's a setting he likes or is biased towards, then he never uses those perks at all like with Destiny or Fallen London. Meanwhile, he specifically writes characters who could actually prove his jumper wrong or contradict him in ways he doesn't have any answers for like they're drooling glue-eating retards with zero IQ. Or more accurately, like they're Gohanposter. This gives him a convenient excuse to never have to do any self-reflection or admit that he's wrong in any situation.

Pretty much, yes. The probability is statistically non-existent that of the hordes beyond number of demons in the Abyss, you'd be the one randomly grabbed by some random dipshit wizard. Similar issue with being a devil in the Hells. Someone pretty much needs to know your name in order for you to have any reasonable likelihood of being summoned.

On the other hand, if you actually want to be summoned, then fanwanking means that a one-in-a-hundred-billion chance becomes a certainty.

>Everything else
As a writer, I'll cop to not always getting everything right and struggling to write everyone coherently when I have to fit it into 2000 characters unless I get REALLY engaged enough to post a PDF. However, I don't think it's fair to say I never "challenge" myself when I just wrote Primacron doing a fair effort at inflicting actual harm on me despite being limited by being a weird little goblin dude trying to bind a cosmic principle and requiring some extra-universal poke-henching to get out of that particular bind. I just don't always agree with other people about who poses a challenge to my Jumper/who my Jumper has a reason to exert his full power on and risk destabilising the very perfect order he's working towards right off the bat. And I'll be honest: None of that really bothers me. I'm ultimately just writing to entertain myself, first and foremost.

I'll cop to something else though: Sometimes I just get in a bad mood due to IRL things and feel like scrapping the pretences and taking out my frustrations on a fictional character. I'm under no pretences I'm like, writing a novel professionally or anything, and sometimes I'd rather just smash the action figures in my head than play out a comedy of errors.

About what I expected. Mostly just weighing the worth of picking the 'You start in the Abyss' drawback for the FRs jump when I'm already going in as a demon. 'cause on one hand, that's lit just your natural environment. On the other hand, the Abyss is a shitty place to live even for demons, and there's a good chance you could just spend your whole ten years looking for one of the natural portals out and never finding one.

Didn't you literally get forced into being a Luka?

> I just don't always agree with other people about who poses a challenge to my Jumper/who my Jumper has a reason to exert his full power on and risk destabilising the very perfect order he's working towards right off the bat.
Being fair, I can't recall anything that's not Nyarlathotep you've ever written your Jumper, the real thing and not just avatars, as actually being threatened by. And Nyarlathotep doesn't count because you can justify any reason why it can harm your Jumper despite having 1000 jumps in your chain.

They're called pancakes here.
>>
>>94842719
They're called incorrectly then.
>>
>>94842710
You would be correct. Paranormal Order or Ordem Paranormal is a Brazilian take on Esoterrorists that went from a couple of RPG sessions using the system (or the CoC system in the second season) and adapted versions of the general lore to developing its own unique RPG system and cosmology. Currently, it has 6 seasons, two of those being spinoffs, an english-spinoff, a Christmas special, an RPG rulebook + supplement for said rulebook, and a videogame.

I don't care which is better. I care about proper identification and classification. A pancake is a pancake. A crêpe can be classified as a type of pancake, but is a distinct style in its own right and should be identified as separate from other pancakes.

>Armada Starscream
I always wondered how other realities would react to Armada Starscream. I mean, genuinely imagine it: Armada Starscream has a sense of honor, is loyal as long as you don't blatantly abuse or mistreat him for no real reason, is a genuinely skilled and capable warrior, and iirc would have made a wonderful leader for the Decepticons if he had lived, according to one timeline where Armada Megatron knew what a threat Unicron really was and agreed to work with Optimus without Starscream needing to sacrifice himself.

Imagine the sheer salt every other version of Megatron would feel when they found out they got cheated out of a loyal, competent Starscream.
>>
>>94842771
Several versions of Megatron are awful regardless of loyalty, but the ones that aren't probably would appreciate Armada Starscream. I think having a version of Starscream that isn't constantly testing his patience or trying to take over at every opportunity would have made Prime Megatron heavily reconsider doubling down on the Unicron juice or a lot of his other more unhinged actions.

The fat version you posted is commonly known as the American pancake. A pancake is cake batter fried in a pan, hence pancake. The superior version is naturally distinct from the discount/inferior etc.

Nah doubt it, Prime Megatron had the ultimate consolation homie in Prime Soundwave and still regularly gets high on the Dark Energon stash. The guy was so instrumental to making sure any attempt to usurp Megatron failed miserably and keeping the ship running or making progress on difficult fetch quests that he was effectively the real second in command while Megatron burned through actual second candidates rapidly. Loyalty enables Prime Megatron’s worst traits, not disables it.

This is just straight up magical realm.

I want to sell Dumb Juice. Drinking it lowers your IQ and bimbofies you (temporarily). Also it's very, very tasty. No side effects, but it's not really beneficial in any way.

Could I get away with selling this in the modern world? Would the FDA let it slide? I'm not even bothering to pretend it's a health supplement or anything. It's Dumb Juice.
>>
>>94843356

I like this perk in Dragon's crown that lets you completly refill your magical energy in seconds by concentrating on it
>Concentrate (100: SR, WZ) – By quieting your mind and drawing your focus inward, you can dramatically increase the rate at which you recharge your mana. Instead of waiting minutes for your mana to recharge, you’ll wait seconds. However, in order to use this ability you must completely focus on the task of mana regeneration. Slow walking is possible, but fighting, casting, planning, and talking are not.

Not really a big fan of how the jump is structured otherwise.
>>
>>94842737
The Beastmaker family from Spyro the Dragon. It's the ability to conjure up simple monsters out of magical energy and to make more complicated ones out of random bits of trash and crystallized magic.
>Beast Maker - Are makers of monsters both large and small. While they are pretty lazy, preferring to bask in their hot tubs listening to music. They are responsible for 78% of the non-sapient species in the realms and very proud of it. They are hardworking and fierce once you get them going. You gain such a quality becoming easily relaxed even in the tensest situation. But also you can create beasts using the barest of materials; sticks and rocks into goblins and shark dogs for example, though if defeated they turn back into their original pile. You can also summon up fodder from your magical energies to fight for you. Once you master this you can create small armies to combat for you. (Sub-worlds: Terrace Village, Misty Bog, Treetops, Wild Flight)

Harbinger of Magic from the same jump is also pretty fun. It quite simply gives you an aura of magic
>Harbinger of Magic (300cp free for dragons) - As a being of magic you project an aura of raw magic that in large enough quantities allow weak spells, low power magitech, and magic reliant wildlife and fauna to function even thrive. It scales off of personal magic reserves and power. But it scales much faster when there are large numbers of those with this perk in a single place.
>>
>>94841995
I also forgot I could just use some other dragon jump or supplement for the same thing and just use DND Dragons for perks.

He whips out the worst pick-up lines and flirts egregiously with the nuns whenever we get near a convent, says the secret of a good marriage is to make your spouses feel special when you get to spend time with them.

Hangs out with Lucifer a bunch - the two spend a lot of time gambling over the most petty shit. Lucifer likes trying to get God to make sucker's bets, and God absolutely cheats when nobody's looking to win them anyway.

Ado Edem would job to Type Venus immensely. He was originally the weakest Knight Arm, because his scales only in response to the enemy. So he jobs against anything that doesn't massively outstats him.
Also, ORT probably also counters him in that it could probably copy it and you don't need just to cut it down, but to erase every atom of it.

Exalted - Descending Hiearchy. Demons can be whatever, including magical grimoires. There was a theory that the Broken Winged Cane in its completed form was a nascent Third Circle, and that all the copies where just its descendant souls.
A Yozi/Primordial could also take the form of a book, but being a Yozi/Primordial it would also be many other things, probably.
There are several Digimon who are living books.
Also, I think Page Master?
In DC you can also take the MERELY ONE AVATAR perk with the 300 CP war perk to be a magic book of war.
>>
>>94844142

there's literally no implication whatsover that they are.
People here for some reason just insist that this has to be the case.
>>

I was making different points simultaneously. The first point is that something new can't really be iconic.

The second point is that Gear 5 isn't even as well known or referenced as the panel of Gojo cut in half, let alone Super Saiyan.
>>
>>94844362

One Piece fans need to accept that it's never been that big in the west and never will be.

Naruto was bigger.
Bleach was bigger.
MHA was bigger.
Chainsaw Man was bigger.
JJK was bigger.

One Piece is just something kinda popular in the background, the eternal third wheel of DBZ and whatever new anime is big.
>>

>>
>>94844400
How does one fix this?
>>
>>94844413
Perk fiat.
>>
>>94844387
oh that, that is the case within UBW too, as a result of the blueprints he makes not being 100% accurate.
If you want to fix that, the best option would be to just find a way to analyze objects on a much deeper level.
Personally I've used this perk from Irregular at Magic Highschool for that in the past.
>Elemental Sight: This Sensory Magic is capable of analyzing the Eidos of practically anything, acting like a view into the Information Dimension. This enables the user to observe things to an absurd level of precision, capable of acting like a bird’s eye view of the area and searching data throughout an entire country at around maximum level. This can also enable the user to instinctively perceive Magic being used like a physical sense

Though I guess you could also just go with some custom high level mystic eye option in fate jumps like the one in Land of the Rising Sun or Empires of Antqiuity.

>Naruto was bigger.
True.
>Bleach was bigger.
False.
>MHA was bigger.
Lol, no. MHA was forgotten in the west. Only it's first couple of seasons got popular. Even then, One piece is more popular.
>Chainsaw Man was bigger.
?????
It's anime flopped. It's manga lost interest.
>JJK was bigger.
That's hard to gauge because it's seasonal. In it's seasons, mid season 1 (basically when Todo appeared) and in season 2 I agree. It's manga has been more popular since shibuya but has crashed itselt

One Piece in the west is more popular than all of those except Naruto and JJK.

thats mosty if you accept Nasu's retcons in interviews.
The only object he ever flat out cant analyse is Ea which is basically conceptually bound to be only ever wielded by Gilgamesh.
but he never has the same reaction to other divine constructs. Even if you accept the interpreation that he cant project Excalibur without dying(which I'd argue against, but lets assume its true), he does explciitly have a blue print of it in UBW, its just lacking details and wont be as good as the original.

>If he's a sword autist and his magics is swords why can he copy non sword objects and what are the limits?
Shirou actually likes all kinds of weapons, like he joined the archery club for a reason and we know he thinks guns are badass, his mental image to activate his magic circuits is even pulling the trigger of a gun.

But anyway, his magic is less focused around swords and more focused around creationg objects he understands. His compability to swords just makes it much more effective around swords so he gets more results for less energy.
But he can do stuff like infusing energy into sticks to turn them into bow and arrow just fine, he can flat out project them as he pleases, he can even do this to non-weapon objects like pipes, fishing rodes, pans and in a gag in FGO even a cotton candy machine.

According to Nasu his limit is that defensive equipment is several times as costly to produce and modern weapons are entirely impossible to project. Though he can still create them by first projecting a sword and then infusing it with energy to turn it itno a gun if he wants to.

Alright we might as well discuss how to perfect UBW.
>stack Origin & Element options for sword, or branch it out to other weapon & item types
>fae blood
>analytical option (mystic eyes, sha nagba, Sherlock perk etc)
>go full Muramasa in Fate Japan, maybe also Sword Saint
What else? How do we make emiyawank fanfics a reality? How to project fully powered copies, copy magic items in general, fuse projections? all that jazz.

Going well, fun to reread them. Dahlaine is a very silly pantheon-head. Dude's trying to figure out how to purify ore and shape metal manually when he can just will it into existence as a finished product if he wants.
>>
Remember jumpers, martial arts require virtues not just fighting strength.
>>
>>94844548

If we want to reach peak Emiyawank we must go much worse than this, you have to project Hueco Mundo to start being comparable to Emiya in Vasto of White.

They recently buffed UBW in Case Files when Shirou appeared in it. When expanding UBW, for the duration of that one use of the reality marble, all broken phantasms share their unique traits with every other thing in UBW. For example, breaking Hrunting gives every weapon in UBW its ability to track and home in on the target.

By communicating with the locals through avatars, which appear less alien to them, the RDA has been trying to bridge the cultural gap and improve relations with the Na'vi.
>It was hoped that the avatars could act as unofficial ambassadors, but the Na'vi have for the most part viewed these hybrid creatures with a mix of contempt and mistrust, referring to them as "dreamwalkers" or "demons in false bodies." They also found the human qualities in their faces unsettling and creepy.
>Nonetheless, avatars served important roles as mediators by relaying cultural information and demands to each party in a peaceful manner, and in some cases by teaching the Na'vi English and basic skills.

Where would you put a Raiden/Jetstream Sam level Cyborg against the upper echelon of those in Cyberpunk 2077? I know it should be a stomp for the most part it's just how much stuff like a Sandevistan or the hacking of Cyberpunk 2077 might be able to bridge the gap, especially the amount of time some Sandevistan's have over Blade mode.

Cyberpunk hacking wouldn't work given MGS cybernetics aren't on the same network connection as the night city net. Pretty sure no weapon in Cyberpunk is actually able to really do damage to either of them either, Raiden was getting kicked about by Armstrong and the only thing that I remember actually taking any damage was when he got the his visor ripped off but, which to be fair if memory serves it actually took a bit of effort from the man who punched armour and caused the entire plate to splinter into shards. I mean just watch the below to get a better picture of how stupid MGS:R cyberware is

The working of flesh and bone is casual to you, with even the most difficult procedures capable of being performed half asleep and blind in one eye as easily as you breath. You're the perfect medic and doctor, but your skills and knowledge extend much further then that. You could create some truly incredible monsters if you wanted to, whether out of whole cloth or test subjects. Lets not even get started on biological warfare. Biology and anything to manipulate or interact with it are all within your capabilities. From genetic engineering, to human enhancement, to even cloning with the proper samples and resources.

>>
>>94845250
One could argue that body swapping is inherently woke-adjacent. But nah, 2e went out of its way to virtue signal by shoving in Current Day politics and also by eliminating all nuance from the antagonist factions e.g. the bioconservatives and making them thinly-veiled 2020s conservative expies.

It is explicitly how it works.
We don't even know if those are actually dead or just regenerating like LB7 ORT.
>>
>>94845229
Raiden's only major in-game upgrade (at least, the ones acknowledged by the story) are the Prologue-Main Game body change, Ripper Mode and getting Murasama at the final stretch of the Armstrong fight. Even then, the lift and throw of Metal Gear Ray was done entirely by his Prologue body.
Plus, there's the issue of trying to square the circle that his MGS4 body, which held back Arsenal Gear/Outer Haven which is even bigger than Excelus, is less technically advanced than the ones in MGR.
>>
>>94845310
From what we know they, unlike V/V, are dead, and the only reasons Ort took any significant amount of time to regenerate was because he was tricked by Malla and then timestopped by tachyon jail, if they could regenerate they already would have. Again if FGO retcons it Alo Edem will have failed but from what we know he destroyed multiple Types and it's headcanon to say the opposite.

NTA, it's semi-accurate. The authors take a paragraph in the opening chapter to acknowledge that they have biases and are writing a setting which details politics, so there is sure to be friction if you vehemently disagree with them. But eliminating nuance isn't universal; the Ultimates in particular aren't a monolithic culture, as the Shugyosha (samurai fetishists in space) demonstrate.
Frankly, the devs were always woke, right down to their publishing model. It's just that first edition only ever addressed politics through in-character exposition dumps, which is easier to ignore I guess.

Communication was secondary to getting the unobtanium, retard. Even IF they made peace like you say, the very process of trying to stripping the unobtanium deposits from beneath the tree would have killed it and everything that depended on it. And no, their behavior was never "treat them somewhat fairly" either; they came there to mine the planet for all it had and only entertained the usage of Avatars to make this somewhat easier but immediately moved to just salting and burning everything when they could.

>then there would have been no reason whatsoever to spend millions on the Avatars.

Is it a bad idea to work on a jump for a LN that only has three volumes translated? I was hoping Incubus Banishment would have more stuff in English by the time I took another look at it but it doesn't. . .

>Bound Succubus (50): Perhaps the direct opposite of the Incubus Gift which allows for the domination of women is this girl’s strange Gift which focuses instead on submitting to a man, you in this case as after she accidentally revealed it to you in an especially embarrassing way she bound herself to you as your eternal slave via a bizarre reverse taming skill. On the surface at least your new pet succubus is a proper lady and in no way the shameful pervert her Gift and skills imply, she has dreams of being a great heroine or famous adventurer instead of a sexual plaything. Despite the lewd nature of her Gift it’s actually extremely strong and if not for her avoiding sex because of it up to this point she would likely be powerful enough to fulfill her dreams, though her leveling does depend on sex and while easily turned to more practical directions all her skills seem to be designed to make her a better slave as the main priority. The route to fulfilling the dreams she’s held since she was a young girl is paved with lewd services as your sex slave, though honestly deep down she is exactly the sort of girl this Gift was made for no matter how much she denies it.

>>94846011
Oh, thanks for the link, seems handy.
>>
>>94845963
There's a perk in Shield Hero that can help with more conventional plants. MAR has a perk for being skilled at taking care of plants that you can use to make a fertilizer that quick-grows them, and you can buy the finished product for growing the plants in the item section. You could also get that perk from A Super Mario Thing that lets you breed items. It treats them a bit more like pokemon or animals, but can be used to produce new instances of a plant or potentially hybridize them at the expense of them being alive in the way a Mario powerup sort of is.
There's also the one perk in a xianxia (wanna say A Will Eternal) that lets you graft different parts of a plant together to create a single specimen whose individual parts retain their component properties. You could probably use some less oddball genetics perks to help as well like the one scientist capstone from the Escaflowne anime jump if you want to do targeted eugenics.
>>
>>94846117
What's A Super Mario Thing? That perk sounds bizarrely unique.

>Yeah, kinda seems that way. Guess the way to optimize is probably just figuring out what to plant.
personally I just also took the Land Deed option in King Arthur and applied the enchanted option to it so everything planeted in it grows much faster and better.

If you cant go to King Arhtur anymore, maybe try to find some other place where you can enhance the earth itself to be more suitable for growing?
>>
>>94845963
>If not botanical or gardening perks, how would you actually nurture whatever you plant with that perk?
A bit of a cop out answer, but... depends on what you've planted.
>>
>>94846148
>That perk sounds bizarrely unique.
That is an accurate assessment, yes.
>Item Babysitter* (400 LP, Discount Toad)- Toads lovingly raise young items for later use. You can now start “item nurseries”, in which you can raise and breed items with each other. With enough work, your little items might even learn to talk and move on their own – though this might lead them to thoughts that do not necessarily agree with their assigned roles as items. Just make sure all of your items receive affectionate and attentive care for proper development! And take good care of them, or they might catch a cold and die.
>To clarify matters, this perks allows you to essentially “raise” items as if you were taking care of a child or a domestic animal. The more care you give to the items, the more they will develop organic traits, such as being able to develop both physically and mentally. With enough work, you can even get some of your items to somehow “mate” and have baby items, which sometimes inherit traits from their parents. However, there are a few risks to shifting your items toward an organic level. First, with intelligence comes independence, so hopefully they won’t enter a rebellious phase against their caretaker. Second, just as it is possible for your chosen items to give birth, it is also now possible for them to die. On the other hand, items, particularly magical ones, may have heartier constitutions than most organisms (for instance, an enchanted ice crystal is unlikely to get frostbite, and a flaming sword is hardly going to pass out from heatstroke. Also, try as you like, you will never be able to determine exactly how your items mate; all you know is that it they are left close by each other for an extended duration, you will start finding babies.

>>94846159

>That's straight up a canon Hatsu
Ah sweet, it's been like a decade since I last watched it but it's nice to know that'll work. Now to punch Ging in the dick.
>>94846394
Beyond it forcing that on me as well or maybe their being a time-limit/round system like in boxing, any ideas for some restrictions for it?
>>
>>94846400
It would be either manipulator, conjurer or specialist, or a mix of these categories, depending on how you want to handle it, and it would probably have ridiculously heavy requirement to put them on the enemy It's funny to imagine you dying after activating it and because of stronger nen after death the victim is foreverer sealed in cooking competitions until exorcized.

How does a modern Mage from WoD fare in modern Fate (not GO)?
>>
>>94846388
Wich one? I don't remember it.
>>
How about you Hatsu some bitches?
>>
>>94846448
How about you Hatsu an original joke.
>>
>>94846444
The cheetah ant's one, where he drags people into a pocket dimension and forces them to play tag
>>
>>94846448
It would either be conjuring a nen beast or manipulating women
>>94846453
It would be enhancing your sense of humor.
>>
Hatsu Batsu Patsu Matsu Tatsu Catsu
>>
>>94846461
But it in no way stop the opponent from using his powers, wich is most of the reason Cheetu lost.
>>
>>94846413
Maybe having to fight for a bit in zetsu, to charge the aura, during wich you must hit the opponent, as this would put you at a great risk and therefore have returns magnitudes stron.
>>
>>94846468
PANTSU!
>>
What if you had a hatsu that turned gay people straight and vice versa and you ran around using it on people in committed relationships
>>
>>94846514
Does this achieve anything beyond sadism?
>>
Is it wrong to conquer a planet because it's kind of a shit hole and you want to institute a better government?

For instance the new world in Overlord. The place kind of sucks and could use some guidance.

Went on a walk, had some Pizza and got some relief and i'm feeling marginally better. Give me jumps to send my Jumper and his Companion on.

No.
>>
>>94846538
It's arguably ambigous, I would say go for it if you are truly well-intentioned.
>>
>>94846538
Historically yes, it's pretty much always been morally wrong.
>>
>>94846551
not really, conquest being morally wrong is a recent thing, and even then it's because of the incidental death and destruction it causes, not the conquest itself
>>
>>94846547
Anima Beyond Fantasy the jump isn't great but I like the setting. Be careful to not make too much chaos or the powers in the shadow will fuck you up unless you are already really powerful.
>>
>>94846538
Conquest by definition involves forcing people to obey you with threats and demonstration of harm. You can do it for a good cause but that puts you square in the well intentioned extremist trope.
>>
Assuming I take Train Summoning for the Luxury Liner jump, how do you imagine establishing rails would work?
>>
>>94846365
What if you just toss madara at the problems going on in hxh?
>>
>>94846557
No I am saying right now it's morally wrong of all past incidents of when it's been done. The conquered people have pretty much always suffered from this kind of thinking.
>>
>>94846564
He curbstomps everything until he autoloses against particularly unfair powers like Camilla, Nanika or is nuked.
>>
>>94846568
that's different, and a very unhelpful and confusing way to phrase things since it sounds like you're saying the current general viewpoint was always the case, you should just say it's morally wrong now

You don't have what it takes to be a conqueror.

Uh oh, we got a spineless moral relativist here.
>>
>>94846577
Neat so we need to make him more broken somehow. So he can achieve peace for the human race you see. Maybe give him a hogyoku.
>>
>>94846589
the guy said it was historically always morally wrong, which it demonstrably wasn't, in fact it was often seen as a great moral right

>>
>>94846596
I see the issue. He said it's always morally wrong, believing in moral absolutism that viewed the human suffering conquest causes as an absolute moral wrong irrespective of local values. You read it as him arguing that people have always considered it morally wrong, thinking he was taking a relativistic perspective on morality.
>>

Yugioh Forbidden Memories, Baoh The Visitor, and Drakengard 2.
>>
>>94846594
I will add that only in the assumption those hatsu are actually absolute they would win, wich isn't even sure, so if you as the author decide to, you can simply say that he solo, unless he's paricularly unlucky and Mereoleon and Knov manage to collaborate.
>>
Is it morally wrong to invent a hyperdimension of infinite and unending torture and conquer places mostly peacefully by shovelling any ruler or member of the ruling elite who opposes you into it as a demonstration? Bear in mind the suffering hyperdimension will not be used unless they actively resist.

I will say that things are a lot different if Madara isn't just bumrushing the problems. If Madara just rolls up on Meruem he's screwed but if Meruem had a few months of prep time to analyze and figure shit out he could likely make countermeasures for Madara + actually train, though I doubt he could close the power gap without years of training and eating basically every nen user.
>>
Jumps to follow up HxH? Like similar settings or where nen won't be out of place.
>>
>>94846616
Yes. You're doing random unnecessary sadistic shit. If you can throw the rulers into a perfectly broadcasted torture dimension or whatever the fuck, you can also conquer the world without doing so. In fact, it should be easier.
>>
>>94846634
JJK is pretty similar power-system wise.
>>
>>94846616
Such a dimension is wrong, it can justified as necessary evil, but if the torture is effectively infinite it instead loop back to being unnecessary and simply sadistic. Moreover if you can accomplish such a feat you can most certainly do it in a less evil way.

Is it morally wrong to conquer the world by offering ageless immortality with the catch that it only works as long as they swear to uphold myself as the rightful ruler of the world? Bear in mind jumper will take a very hands-off attitude to ruling.

I love that the Mesopotamian myth jump lets you fuck up the Chaos Gods by wrecking their shrines.
It fits perfectly into my Brettonian Knight Errant chain where I can go around as a non world breaker and fuck them up by doing normal adventurer stuff.
