defend this
>>94849963No.
>>94849963I like Beastmen.
>>94849963The paint job is good but no, there's no defense, especially not after the combat patrol tried to shove 20 of them down peoples' throats.
>EC starter box has 12 noise marines>EC combat patrol has 6 flawless blades>thousand sons are just tzaangorsNothin personal.
They're a hell of a lot cooler than Kairic Acolytes
>>94850060>lord of change>chaff units are barbarians and birdarians who thought this shit up?
>>94849963I don't understand what's wrong with this.
>>94850043 Here's hoping they'll do an updated Combat Patrol for 1k Sons when the new Codex comes out. They've been using them alot in the video games and they've been doing some scavenging of "War Automata" in the narrative.
They should look thinner and more sickly
>>94849963i can't defend 52 cents of plastic and 21 of manufacture being sold at 58gbp
>>94850079>smart manipulator is followed by dumbass retardsits almost like a cult of some sort
>>94850079What do you want their chaff units to be, big boy? Some nerds running about with knives on one hand and a book on another?
>>94849963Tzeentch having birdbased beastmen is pretty on brand, and they are not bad models. The only big problem is putting them in the thousand sons combat patrol, as no one buys into a marine faction for the chaff units.
>>94850286Pretty sure thats lorewise they sell their souls to get ripped
>>94850477The problem is that they are naked barbarians, and naked barbarian look rarely works, tzeentch needs proper chaos warriors
>>94850527wizards are not grunts, grunts are pawns being used by the mastermind
>>94849963Nah they have shields and swords they can defend themselves.
The Aos dot range is 10000% times cooler than whatever 40k has and they should be grateful to even be allowed to share some of their units with them.
>>94850736I find it really odd how much cooler AoS minis are when compared to 40k, like take the recent reveals for example, I quite like the new Emperors Children, but the skeletons AoS revealed were gorgeous and that zombie dragon is just a thing of beautyMaybe its the coloring, maybe its the designers being given free reign while 40k space marine designers have to contend with mass appeal
I just a waste that tzeentch's thing is perpetual change and that was perfectly suited by many of their existing demons types and they decided the big evolution of that was to make a bunch of basic bird guys.I mean that's also a problem with rubrics resulting in the poster boy army for the "lord of change" being a bunch of generic chaos space marines with no mutations, so this has been an ongoing image problem.
>>94850663Even the they could look more interesting than generic barbarian #1332, bird head edition. Look at the warcry bands for inspiration, for example. Beastmen being goats is kinda their thing, occasional bird beak would fit, but when arr look the same, it's just shit.
>>94850916oh no anon, the models are shit, its just conceptually ok
>>94849963Ok
>>94850079>Lord of change can change the physical nature of his fallowers to be actually fit for combatKino
>>94850663>>94850916Actually, Kairics are supposed to be old scholars that used the power of tzeentch to make themselves ripped, they're also capable of rudimentary magic. So essentially, Kairics are the shitty burnout wizards. Though I do absolutely agree with you, DoT need CW and Chosen equivalents
>>94850518Neh, the golden masks they wear are enchanted to make them appear as best case scenario peak of their physical potential. You put it on and turn into a version of yourself that's perfectly healthy and hits the gym every day
>>94850782AoS is a less impactful product so they give the designers more free reign to throw shit at the wall to see what sticks. It's why 40k releases tend to be consistently okay while AoS models end up either gorgeous or garbage with little in-between.
>>94851390why didnt fantasy do the same thing before it died
>>94851396Cause Fantasy had decades of lore baggage and cunts who would have meltdowns whenever something was introduced that hadn't been mentioned decades prior. Towards the end no one enjoyed designing for WHFB since they felt everything had already been mapped out and there wasn't enough room for innovation.
>>94850736we're fucking robbed
