The early game, IE the early realms, is as always excruciating, but with the talisman making perk, the spirit stones salary, and the cultivation pills, I can probably ssafely make it to Core Formation without major trouble if I keep my head down. It's been a while since I've read RMJI but I vaguely remember Scattered Star Seas goes through a massive clusterfuck some centuries in the future so I would probably not stay in Heavenly Star City for too long, I'd prolly leave after reaching Core formation. Also the avatar perk is amazing and I'd definitely want to spread avatars everywhere, if one or more avatars reach Nascent Soul all the better for my survival.

Which, hey, considering I CAN still wield powers from him and ever since "internalising the lesson" (read: Used a selective reading of christian doctrine to justify politically motivated violence, like any good religious leader) his other incarnations have been mostly kind and encouraging I've taken it as a bit of tough love/a sharp reminder to NEVER let my guard down/enlightening me to the fundamental violence of the greater multiverse (this may or may not actually be the case).

It's not as though I'm actually intending to start a war with him here. I did go out of my way to have a justifiable loophole (Mr. Priest, a human who is only just starting to show the potential of becoming a demon lord, is in the crossfire) to intervene in the first place. Furthermore I did NOT use my fate-defying perks to skew the outcome so from my point of view Lucifer was always destined to fail here. All I did was skim a little divine providence off the till in case I subsequently decide to solve a problem my way, and then go back to doing my ordained duty by periodically culling demon lords before they can attack humanity. Really that's the best sign of my respect for divine providence here: The fact that after the Type-Moon incident I'm willing to swallow my grudge and judge humanity on a case by case basis instead of annihilate all humanity everywhere like I was initially considering.

It is, but they're not actually that bad in practice. The only ones to really worry about are the Mindless Violence one being an interesting times drawback that compels questionable decision making, and accidentally cycling that +300 one to a floor boss or something that could cause issues later since it's not a one and done deal.
Of the rest, the second +100 is a pain since I'll be broke most of the time, because reasons - but the other two are just social chafing from a name given and one offered, respectively. So that leaves the last +200 drawback, which is free points because it's a lockout drawback on jump 1.

Honestly, so long as the Grimoire's spell is decent I should be able to hold out long enough to find stuff to do between training montages that doesn't involve going full battle junkie or picking a fight with a bigger Familia too soon. Not every drawback, but in setting like these, enemy drawbacks at some point start to be more of an inconvenience the more power you get.
It happens in plenty of high power settings, where the villain, protagonist and maybe a couple others can deal with the rest of the setting mostly on their own. So even without out of jump powers, if your build is already on that level and the drawbacks are mid-tier enemies or organizations on that level, taking them is no big deal. And if you needed a drawback to fight the final boss to get on the level of the final boss, just taking those other enemy drawbacks improves your chances on the final boss since you can be them with perks/powers that improve on that build/cover up drawbacks.

What essence level would be an Infernal charm for a domain expansion? It would be an upgrade to another charm to make all usages of said charm a undeogable attack while the duration of the charm is active and the target is within the range of the barrier.

There is no canon answer, but if I had to guess I would guess E7 or E8. The Spirit of the Living World (the Charm that creates an Infernal's inner world to begin with-their version of a Domain) is E6, and if we're taking Solars as comparable sidegrades to Infernals then Cast Out Beyond Regard (the Charm that blasts an entire city into Malfeas) is E8. The moon hung overhead, shining down on the small rest building by the lake near the sect's base. Quill meets notebook as a particular bard stares up at the night sky. Searching for words that sporadically come to him..
"Against infinity, I'm flying to a end. Throughout a void, A blackened canvas, a empty sky."
Oh that sounds like it could work. Venti thinks to himself writing that down. So immersed in his writing he doesn't notice the steps coming down the path from the sect.

He notices finally Renalis. The zora boy who'd joined the sect a few months ago.
"Out for a nightly stroll?" He asks, his question causing the zora to recoil. Not noticing the venti either till then.
"Oh!-Uh Yes! I am." They nod suddenly. "Just um... getting some air." Renalis sighs and looks out over the lake before them.
"You sure? That was a pretty heavy sigh." The bard wonders putting down his quill and crossing his legs. The newcomer sitting down at a nearby pier just across from small stand venti was in.
"I'm fine Just...thinking."
"I see." Venti pauses and dismisses his songbook into the aether before getting up and walking over to the pier. Digging into one of his oversized robes pockets and pulling out a small pouch of candy. Popping one into his mouth before sitting down by the zora. Feet dangling above the water.
"Well... jelly bean for one of those thoughts?" He offers holding out a red candy bean.

"..." Renalis is quiet for a moment before letting out a light huff and taking the jelly bean.
"Well, I'm trying to decide what to path to really pursue for one." The zora reveals chewing on the jellybean.
"Ah isnt that the billion-rupee question." Venti sighs nodding empathetically, He digs for a jellybean for himself and popping it in his mouth. Before grabbing another and offering it to Renalis.
"Are you gravitating to anything? Any of them that calls out to you?"

He looks up at the moon and eats another bean. Holding out the bag. It was simpler that way.

"I... hope so." Renalis sulks taking a handful of candies. "I really REALLY need this to work out." The zora sighs gloomily munching on the candy.
"Well it is a lot of pressure. Cultivations a big deal in Hyrule." Venti nods tearing his gaze from the moon above back to Renalis.
"No! Its not... just that." The newer novice mumbles shaking his head. "It..." He lets out a long groan, balling his hands into fists.
"Then... what is it?" Venti asks.
"It... it." The zora sighs, deflating before suddenly flinging a jellybean into the lake.
"I need this to work out. I... left to much back home. Got into a big argument with my dad before I left. If I can't do this I... that might just be it for me. No one wants me back there."

"...Kid." Ventis sighs,
"I won't act like I know what happened before you got here or your situation, but... nothings ever set in stone. I promise you can succeed here. It's not just all... about cultivation itself. For a lot of us its... more in a way. Home even if it is intimidating at first."

"Home...I don't know if I have one of those anymore." Renalis becomes quiet. His tone almost mournful as the two stare out at the glass like lake.

He sighs and smiles looking back at Renalis.
"So to me, when I look out at this sect. I see hope, for me, for you, for all of us."

"Hope... I'd like some hope if I can find it.." The junior novice looking up.
"And you will!" Venti nods grinning.
"And for what its worth even if I'm not a master. I've been in your shoes... if you ever want some advice or help. I'll be happy to give it. Lots of others are to. It's all part of... well being here. No ones a island."
He leans down and digs into his bag again to find his beans spent. Except for a singular remaining yellow Jellybean.
A idea strikes his mind and he takes it. Holding it against the moonlight.
"But for now..." He taps it with a finger and silently whispers "Grow" before the candy suddenly grows to be bigger then the bag it came on. He hands it over to renalis. "Have a jellybean."

The boy blinks in surprise and wonder wide eyed at the sudden act of magic before taking the giant candy carefully.
"Um... thanks. How'd you do that?" He asks before taking a small nibble of the giant candy.
"I'm half wizard what can I say?" Venti winks
. "...That was divine delusion though. Just for reference. You go down that route you're figure out how to do that stuff sort of thing to eventually... not that I'm terribly far along but you get what I mean."
This combined with the giant candy is finally enough to get Renalis to grin.

"You should probably get to bed though. It's getting really late now. I'll be up in a bit myself just want to do something first."

"Yeah... I guess thats smart" Renalis nods standing up. Holding onto the candy with one hand like a large rock.
"Goodnight. See you at class maybe." He says turning back and heading up the path.

"Goodnight. Don't eat that candy all in one setting. I don't need Master Citali chewing me out" The bard calls back before looking up at the night sky. The sound of the boys steps slowly fading into the dark as he resummons his notebook.

Words finally come again, Venti quickly jots them down.
"Tears for the life I've lost, stream in torrents out of me But when they finally cease. I can see a universe of purest sky and sea."
He nods satisfied with that for now before standing up and heading back himself. Tomorrow was another day

I have another overlord question or maybe a complaint for the eternal legend scenario I thought you just had to reunite the guild. However rereading it apparently nothing you bring in to the jump works to find them even be it keen research abilities or luck perks, apparently you have to conquer the world or something make it your bitch and then they come back? Am I reading this wrong because it seems kind of dumb honestly. You have to conquer the world, your stuff doesn't work? Additional question would anyone be truly pissed if I just went with what I understood and already planned for and did things my way, you know not by conquering everything and using reasonable methods?

Hmm I didn't consider the assistant/right hand route after ascending. But it'd make sense. Oddly enough I think he might find that less stressful overall then being a saint/Archon. Godly intern venti is a funny image in my head.

She’s from a setting where the nobility can all use magic, but she isn’t able to because of plot reasons. This has led to her being somewhat grouchy at times, especially with people who annoy her, but if you wait for her to wear herself out or just don’t push her buttons in the first place she’s a fairly decent person. Also pretty smart, considering she was able to last a full year in magic school while being unable to successfully use magic. The interesting part is in her world elves and humans are enemies, so if she wound up in Hyrule she’d freak out at first, though once you get her to listen she’d calm down. Also note that she doesn’t have many friends, so she’s weak to friendship.

Hmm. Maybe Alicia’s backstory is she died to a monster when she was a little girl. This was not particularly concerning for anyone, the founder of her clan was one of Hylia’s siblings, and that connection meant Alicia’s soul went to Hylia’s realm. While there she had a chance to speak with Hylia, and the memory of that conversation is what made her the person she is, with the impact of being in her presence having shaped her cultivation. This does raise the question of how Hylia could have siblings with her if she came from another world, but maybe they all wound up in xianxia land together.

Louise would want to get home sooner than that, I think. Maybe what happens is you take her back home and heal her sister, and in exchange she learns cultivation from you. Fortunately, if you’ve created a sect you should be able to trace a path back to her home dimension, and with Louise being fairly smart and wanting to learn magic she should pick up Divine Delusion pretty easily. Also, to keep the Hoyoverse references going, maybe Hylian Louise looks like Elysia from Honkai Impact.

One sunny afternoon while I was having motor oil tea with a Machine Lifeform aristocrat (he had been an aristocrat for about 5 minutes shortly after finding the concept "positively spiffing" while reading), I suddenly became aware Elodie was trying to conceal one of the worlds intersecting this reality from me. I put down my tea, excused myself out the door-and immediately teleported to the space-time junction where this reality was about to overlap with another one.

"Whelp, that sure was one crazy adventure!" said 9S, who seemed to be vanishing off to other worlds a lot lately. "I can't believe that poor Android used to be-"

"Oh? Do tell?" I said.

"I can" said 2E dismissively, "we aren't programmed to do something insane and reckless like absorb a massive amount of D-WAVE energy unprompted. That can only have been a-"

"Yes? Yes, go on?" I asked. Confused by my sudden interest, they started babbling an explanation while I stared holes in the hazy magical girl sparkles concealing the gap in space-time into the world they'd just left. It seemed to be an advanced civilisation under threat by monsters, in which humanity was reduced to scattered populations and a relative upper class inhabiting some sort of Arks.

The primary defence constructs for this civilisations were called...Nikkes.

There are times when I take a slow approach, a general measure of pruning and tending to a world as one would a garden. Times when I use avatars, elevate those within, debate and purchase and engage in all the other delaying actions for a quiet world conquest.

This is not one of those times. "This world deserves Anti-Life for all" I said, "except the...the subjugated. The Nikkes"

"Yes, master. Yes, it does" said Grail as Elodie searches for nonexistent mercy in her excited gaze. It is over in a thought. Somewhere an abusive hand pauses mid-swing, somewhere schemes are frozen in place. Somewhere humans are threatened with choking on the water they drink or a fall from a misstep; the only reason I tasked Grail with making sure they lived is because I want them to understand their position. The only beings I had any respect for reacted at first with panic, then mounting concern, and at last in long exodus to the beacon of white fire I have lit.

In an instant, the Rapture Cores powering the Ark are removed by block chain computations and redirected to the surface. All aggressions against the Ark ceased as the lifeforms attacking it pursued their plummeting overmind.

"W-what have you done to the Ark? Why are you doing this?"

"This is why" I tell them.

And I show them what M.M.R. does to Nikkes that fail their tests three times.

It doesn't because my Primordial will holds it there, just as I show the Nikkes how many of their kind are torn apart, abused, rejected by the hateful hearts of the humans. Some of them reject the truth. So I continue to show them everything I can feel from the human consciousnesses of this world: The disdain, the irrational hatred for the only thing standing between them and certain extinction, the fickleness and wilful stupidity.

This is just like the Human Order. Mankind creates it's own servitors, then blames those tools for being objectively better in every regard"

"There has to be a more nuanced solution to this than taking out free will forever?"

"Nuance? We are well past nuance, Elodie" I said, as Grail reached out and filled the population with Anti-Life. Awaiting my command to walk them off the Ark.

Elodie took a deep breath. "And what are you going to do with the Nikkes afterwards?"

I stared at her. "This world has reached a dead end. They may do with it as they please"

"Okay, so...you're NOT going to adopt them? Set up any kind of support structure?"

"I will baptise them in fire so that their components will last forever-"

"NOT what I'm talking about!" shouted Elodie as silently, some of the Nikkes screaming in horror as the first worthless sacks of organs start plummeting mindlessly from the edge.

"...I don't understand. Are you our new commander?" asked one. "I am a system correcting a great outbreak of chaos. Nothing more" I told her. "You are safe now. Forget me"

I watched the humans start screaming as Grail reluctantly lifted the Equation, giving them back free will. I no longer considered burning them all to ash, but as the more compassionate Nikkes tried to comfort them I lashed out mind to mind-instilling a series of memetic triggers similar to childbirth, an anal prolapse and lethal depression all at once triggered upon any form of intentional malice directed at a Nikke. Across every human in the Ark.

"There. NOW you are safe" I breathed, turning my back on that world as Elodie winced but also breathed a huge sigh of relief while Grail bumped her again on our way back.

...

A couple weeks later, a bunch of Nikkes showed up on my doorstep asking where I lived. I made them some food and told them to go away and never think about this place again and to live blissfully ignorant of a multiverse full of uncaring cruelty.

Several days after that, MORE Nikkes showed up for some unfathomable reaosn.

Hmmm not sure if I like a the idea of hylia plus siblings all ending up in xianxia land together. It could work but maybe its a offshoot descended from the zelda the second. I imagine there's been a lot of generations for them.

Now I’m imagining your trips to other settings as having two parts. In the immortal stage, you mostly remain in Hyrule and visit the worlds of the isekaied people who wind up at your sect. The divine stage is where you start searching for new worlds.

Fair, I can see the logic there. Ventis the same way a bit. and there's only like two other tri cultivators in the story aside from her. So, it wouldn't hurt the rarity of it.

To add a final piece to this, your status as a Saint and it being known that you come from another world could combine to make your lands and sect a place where isekaied people are sent to get used to life in Hyrule. This would have the effect of enabling you to bring everything together in one chain of “Because of/Therefor” reasoning, where each step is a logical outcome of the previous one.

Venti is interacting with people from other worlds, therefor, he decides to travel to some of them. Hmm. Yeah I like that. I can work with that. I like how that sorta all works out fairly cleanly. And it fits one of ventis main duties as a saint is helping people isekaid get used to hyrule and its ways. Much like he was originally.

Absolutely, yes. Due to the vagueness of certain backgrounds like the Saya no Uta jump not explicitly stating you’re of Saya’s species or extinction events in others such as the death of the Ones and eventually Abeloth in the Star Wars Legends continuity or the cessation of the Grace’s bloodline in Doctor, I am the only extant member of several species.

That and due to a really silly supplement on the bunker, I have retroactively always been a species of one.

I don't think a Jumper could be considered a species on to itself. Jumpers can make other jumpers by breeding, they wind up as companions. Now if two Jumpers bred the result likely wouldn't be another jumper, it would likely be a cosmic custody battle.
