>>96377681Exalts have absolutely no connection to CofD/NWoD, which is what DoL is a supplement for. Even in OWoD, the contemporary splats were once (in obsolete lore) degraded, useless versions of ancient Exaltations. The only place WoD splats interact with Exaltations is in fan material like ExWoD, which is for a completely different WoD line. This is like letting people be a Jedi in Dragon Age just because the two IPs were made by the same company. >>96377714>>96377009Okay, to be clear then - DoL can be slapped onto pretty much any WoD jump as a supplement, and as such I consider pretty much anything we have a jump for to be a valid option for what race/splat you want to be playing as even when DoL is standalone. Old/new does not factor into this because both are cool.So you can be an Exalt via Dudes, but you're specifically playing with Exalted Vs rules.
>>96377714My man, the jumps original material was a shitpost.
>>96377760If I can play an Exalt, by the same logic can I supplement it onto any Exalted jump? Including fanfic jumps lie Exalted Vs or Alchemical Solutions? Does DoL count as a WoD jump itself, so that DoL can supplement DoL?
>>96377760>Old/new does not factor into this because both are cool.Pathetic and retarded. Imagine if we had a Cyberpunk 2077 jump and it just threw its hands up in the air and said, "Well, I guess you can also just hecking tie this jump to Shadowrun instead if you'd prefer." Peak reddit bullshit. >>96377767Might be an argument if it was explicitly a joke jump meant for the joke jumps folder, but it's not. >>96377773You can supplement it onto any exalted jump that is also a world of darkness jump. All one of them.
>>96377778Just because DriveAnon fucks up his sorting doesn't mean dudes isn't a shitpost.
>>96377785That doesn't answer the question of whether you can supplement DoL onto itself. This is important for when I eventually circle back to rewriting my WoD jumps to be balanced with the DoL supplement (eg Vampire the Masquerade needs to account for the way the DoL allows you to set your age to any number you want for free whereas I currently charge highly for being an old vampire.)
>>96377779NTA, but you don't have to be an autist to want a jump to literally just connect to the the IP it's actually for instead of whatever settings the jumpmaker would like it to. >>96377786We don't put jumps in the joke jump folder unless the maker expressly says it is one. That's been the rule since the beginning. So unless BLADE has the balls to come out and acknowledge it as the joke jump that it is, we have to treat it as a real jump.
>>96377797When you update your jumps, make all the options prices randomized.>>96377804>He's still spergingHey, guess what? There's a jump with joke in the title that's not in the joke folder on the drive.Go fetch!

>>96377797Sounds like a you problem.Well, actually, that sounds like a problem that only exists if you assume other people will mercilessly abuse every possible loophole and technicality for their benefit because they're not playing this game in good faith and you absolutely HAVE to have a prepared response to every possible attempt at cheating. 'Can I supplement the jump with itself' is that exact mindset.Which kind of loops back around to it being a you problem. It must suck to be you. With that said, please note that the limitations on age do explicitly call out character creation, so by default anything that isn't available to a newly created pc shouldn't be a problem.
>>96377826How dare you mess up when making a product. It should be perfect the first time! Thanks
>>96377831Generic, the jump has "Joke" in the title, next to the series' name.
>>96377821Not all "humorous" jumps or jumps for comedy settings are inherently joke jumps. Those that aren't sorted outright into the Joke Jumps folder were and should be vetted as any other jump. >>96375134Determination.>>96375418As I've said before, I admire the guy and would PREFER to avoid a conflict but I've long since resolved to walk my own way after he (apparently) tried to kill me in Kult and (as far as I can determine) told me to kill my own children in Type-Moon to teach me a brutal lesson about the logical endpoint of utilitarianism. Which, hey, considering I CAN still wield powers from him and ever since "internalising the lesson" (read: Used a selective reading of christian doctrine to justify politically motivated violence, like any good religious leader) his other incarnations have been mostly kind and encouraging I've taken it as a bit of tough love/a sharp reminder to NEVER let my guard down/enlightening me to the fundamental violence of the greater multiverse (this may or may not actually be the case). It's not as though I'm actually intending to start a war with him here. I did go out of my way to have a justifiable loophole (Mr. Priest, a human who is only just starting to show the potential of becoming a demon lord, is in the crossfire) to intervene in the first place. Furthermore I did NOT use my fate-defying perks to skew the outcome so from my point of view Lucifer was always destined to fail here. All I did was skim a little divine providence off the till in case I subsequently decide to solve a problem my way, and then go back to doing my ordained duty by periodically culling demon lords before they can attack humanity. Really that's the best sign of my respect for divine providence here: The fact that after the Type-Moon incident I'm willing to swallow my grudge and judge humanity on a case by case basis instead of annihilate all humanity everywhere like I was initially considering.
>>96377854It's an ingenious idea, make no mistake, but that's only because it's so hilariously stupid that no one has ever written rules against it. >>96377873If Joke Jumps are held to lower standards than normal jumps, then yes they should be considered less legitimate. If they are held to the same standards, then any issue that could be raised against a standard jump should be equally applicable to any Joke Jump, and there's no point in bringing up its joke status. Normal mummy players doing normal mummy things. A 6000 year old vampire is probably a bit funky though.Okay, but now what happens when a jump says that I'm a vampire and that jump's supplement says I'm 6000 years old? This is the kind of thing that happens when CYOAs that were never meant to be used simultaneously suddenly need to cover cases where they are used together and it's not a house rule where I can laugh it off and tell people that it's their own fault for using a house rule.

>>96377760Okay, cool.Can I use it to be a Reveler?
>>96377967>Personally, if the jump that you're a vampire in has an age roll, I would assume that takes priority over what DoL has to say when it's in supplement modeThank you for actually starting to make rulings about how an incredibly complex and multi-faceted meta-drawback which you have inserted into other peoples' jumps actually works.>Also, why are you using a Mummy character sheet for your Vampire character?Because I'm making a build for the Vampire: The Masquerade jump and have taken the How to Be Fucking Awesome Drawback which DoL inserted into it, causing me to make a build for that jump (now a supplement) at the same time.
>>96377994That's not how supplements work, but your autistic ass ain't ready for that conversation.
>>96377972Thats a lot of drawbacks. Good luck there anon.
>>96378024The last time we discussed this, Blade made this ruling about how his supplement mode drawback worked:> But imo at least, a supplement is inherently the second jump in the operation. So someone would already have to be in your jump, and then decide 'not spicy enough, needs more dudes of legend', and then there were two jumps. So despite the fact that's "not how supplements work", something I agree with, it is how THIS supplement works, per the author of it.
>>96378024I'm not sure what the fuck he's talking about with that drawback, but since Dudes lets you be any splat and the jump you combine it with presumably makes you one of whatever it's a jump for, you can in fact be a Vampire-Mummy as written even without the Fishmalk perk.
>>96378055You don't gain access to drawbacks in a supplement without accessing the supplement first. You therefore used the "How to Be Fucking Awesome Drawback" BEFORE attaching it to the Vampire the Masquerade jumpdoc, meaning you can't just tack on another jump, unless your jump allows it.
>>96378071He's just sperging about supplements, he even brought it to the bunker for more attention whoring.
What's the pettiest thing Jumper has done?Either the retribution he's delivered for the pettiest slight, or the most disproportionate retribution he's delivered.Or both, if you want to gush a bit.
>>96378072Under that interpretation, it would be impossible to use the Drawback ever. It can only be used in other jumps, and it is not allowed to be used in other jumps. But Blade clearly ruled that it CAN be used in other jumps. Therefore, Dudes of Legend effectively has a note that reads something like "You may not take How To Be Fucking Awesome in this jump. However, in all other World of Darkness jumps, you may take How To Be Fucking Awesome. This rule takes effect at the start of your chain instead of when you jump Dudes of Legend.">>96378085Thanks for letting me know so I can argue there too.
>>96377994Okay.Or, for a totally different yet entirely possible outcome - you are in fact a 6000 year old vampire. However, since age does not actually equate to power, you are still generation 10 or whatever, and are likely the most boring vampire in existence because you never did anything exciting and are still somehow on par with a 60 year old vampire.>>96378024I don't think he cares.
>>96378114>However, since age does not actually equate to power,Even a high generation vampire learns new Disciplines over time.>I don't think he cares. You had previously ruled that the ONLY way to use supplement mode was to start in the other jump, then choose to make Dudes of Legend a supplement to it. Are you now saying that it doesn't work that way? If so, why did you say otherwise the first time?
>>96378131Generic, can't you go be autistic somewhere else?
>>96378131Because people are stupid. The 0 cp saying you can do the thing is there so that people know they can do the thing, not because it's actually needed to do the thing.People can do whatever they want with jumpchain, and no rule I write and no amount of bitching from you will change that. There are certain actions that are encouraged, yes, but are you planning to hunt down the next person who jumps one of your jumps 'wrong' and beat them to death?Because, uh, I saw a guy do one of yours and claim that he was a second gen vampire and you said fuck all about that, despite it not being an option in the jump. Hell, you responded to them, just not to say they'd got it wrong.
>>96378163>The 0 cp saying you can do the thing is there so that people know they can do the thing, not because it's actually needed to do the thingYou could just include that as a note.0cp implies that it's provided via fiat and will carry forward into other jumps, on its own and without restriction, by default.
>>96378178People don't read the notes in my experience.
>>96378163>People can do whatever they want with jumpchain, and no rule I write and no amount of bitching from you will change that. Then put your money where your mouth is and add a +0 Drawback to all your jumps that turns on Creative Mode. After all, people can do whatever they want with a jump so the actual rules as written don't matter, right?>are you planning to hunt down the next person who jumps one of your jumps 'wrong' and beat them to death? No, because then they're using house rules. I'm not responsible for my jump being balanced according to some rando's house rules. What I am responsible for is making sure that my jumps are balanced and free of rules contradictions when used with the official supplements to them on our drive that I didn't write and don't want to waste time rebalancing around.
>>96378047It is, but they're not actually that bad in practice. The only ones to really worry about are the Mindless Violence one being an interesting times drawback that compels questionable decision making, and accidentally cycling that +300 one to a floor boss or something that could cause issues later since it's not a one and done deal.Of the rest, the second +100 is a pain since I'll be broke most of the time, because reasons - but the other two are just social chafing from a name given and one offered, respectively. So that leaves the last +200 drawback, which is free points because it's a lockout drawback on jump 1.Honestly, so long as the Grimoire's spell is decent I should be able to hold out long enough to find stuff to do between training montages that doesn't involve going full battle junkie or picking a fight with a bigger Familia too soon. Orario's honestly big enough I could find enough tourist stuff to waste money on between odd jobs to make said money and fill out a few years before the drawback zoomies demand a War Game or some other nonsense.

>>96378201But I reject the idea that the mere existence of house rules is an excuse for making unbalanced meta-options. It makes no sense to "pwn" me by demanding that I do the thing I'm whining about how other people shouldn't do.>>96378209Which 50% did I ignore? The first paragraph and first sentence of the second paragraph argue that rules don't matter because people can ignore them. My response is that if you really believe that, why not add a Creative Mode drawback? The rest of the second paragraph asks why I'm mad about people using my jumps "wrong." The third paragraph lists an example of someone using my jumps "wrong." I answered this by saying I don't care what jumpers do with my jumps, but that I am concerned with the entirely different issue of what jumpmakers do with my jumps via meta-options.

>>96379834Not every drawback, but in setting like these, enemy drawbacks at some point start to be more of an inconvenience the more power you get.It happens in plenty of high power settings, where the villain, protagonist and maybe a couple others can deal with the rest of the setting mostly on their own. So even without out of jump powers, if your build is already on that level and the drawbacks are mid-tier enemies or organizations on that level, taking them is no big deal. And if you needed a drawback to fight the final boss to get on the level of the final boss, just taking those other enemy drawbacks improves your chances on the final boss since you can be them with perks/powers that improve on that build/cover up drawbacks.
What essence level would be an Infernal charm for a domain expansion? It would be an upgrade to another charm to make all usages of said charm a undeogable attack while the duration of the charm is active and the target is within the range of the barrier.
>>96380390An unblockable melee attack is Essence 4. So I guess 5? Keep in mind that this is going to last like 10 seconds at best and will be prohibitively expensive to activate.
>>96380390There is no canon answer, but if I had to guess I would guess E7 or E8. The Spirit of the Living World (the Charm that creates an Infernal's inner world to begin with-their version of a Domain) is E6, and if we're taking Solars as comparable sidegrades to Infernals then Cast Out Beyond Regard (the Charm that blasts an entire city into Malfeas) is E8. Assuming the domain expansion isn't a permanent effect, I would thus say E7 is an appropriate level of investment given this IS above and beyond the canon examples of Yozi Charms (generally E4-E5) that can produce large scale AoE damage or even permanent changes to the nearby geography.
>>96380390If it were a Solar charm I'd put it at 7 but for a yozi charm 8 seems right.

So I did my best here. Not the best at writing troubled teens though I admit.12:00 PMThe moon hung overhead, shining down on the small rest building by the lake near the sect's base. Quill meets notebook as a particular bard stares up at the night sky. Searching for words that sporadically come to him.."Against infinity, I'm flying to a end. Throughout a void, A blackened canvas, a empty sky." Oh that sounds like it could work. Venti thinks to himself writing that down. So immersed in his writing he doesn't notice the steps coming down the path from the sect.He notices finally Renalis. The zora boy who'd joined the sect a few months ago. "Out for a nightly stroll?" He asks, his question causing the zora to recoil. Not noticing the venti either till then."Oh!-Uh Yes! I am." They nod suddenly. "Just um... getting some air." Renalis sighs and looks out over the lake before them."You sure? That was a pretty heavy sigh." The bard wonders putting down his quill and crossing his legs. The newcomer sitting down at a nearby pier just across from small stand venti was in."I'm fine Just...thinking." "I see." Venti pauses and dismisses his songbook into the aether before getting up and walking over to the pier. Digging into one of his oversized robes pockets and pulling out a small pouch of candy. Popping one into his mouth before sitting down by the zora. Feet dangling above the water."Well... jelly bean for one of those thoughts?" He offers holding out a red candy bean."..." Renalis is quiet for a moment before letting out a light huff and taking the jelly bean."Well, I'm trying to decide what to path to really pursue for one." The zora reveals chewing on the jellybean."Ah isnt that the billion-rupee question." Venti sighs nodding empathetically, He digs for a jellybean for himself and popping it in his mouth. Before grabbing another and offering it to Renalis."Are you gravitating to anything? Any of them that calls out to you?" 1/5
>>96383045"Not really. It's all equally confusing and hard! How anyone does anything is... well crazy!" Renalis mutters taking the bean and eating it. Venti can't help but smirk at that."Oh it is crazy. Absolutely insane." The bard agrees. "If you keep at it though. And genuinely give it your best effort though. I'm sure you're able to come to understand that insanity has a certain logic, regardless of path."He looks up at the moon and eats another bean. Holding out the bag. It was simpler that way."I... hope so." Renalis sulks taking a handful of candies. "I really REALLY need this to work out." The zora sighs gloomily munching on the candy."Well it is a lot of pressure. Cultivations a big deal in Hyrule." Venti nods tearing his gaze from the moon above back to Renalis."No! Its not... just that." The newer novice mumbles shaking his head. "It..." He lets out a long groan, balling his hands into fists. "Then... what is it?" Venti asks. "It... it." The zora sighs, deflating before suddenly flinging a jellybean into the lake."I need this to work out. I... left to much back home. Got into a big argument with my dad before I left. If I can't do this I... that might just be it for me. No one wants me back there.""...Kid." Ventis sighs, "I won't act like I know what happened before you got here or your situation, but... nothings ever set in stone. I promise you can succeed here. It's not just all... about cultivation itself. For a lot of us its... more in a way. Home even if it is intimidating at first.""Home...I don't know if I have one of those anymore." Renalis becomes quiet. His tone almost mournful as the two stare out at the glass like lake.2/5
>>96383045The bard grows silent as well for a moment, looking up from the lake towards the mountain and the sect atop it."Do you know what I see when I look up there?" Venti asks."No, What?" The zora mumbles.Venti smiles a moment before continuing."This sect, this place so many of end up. It's... well it's a place to begin anew." "It might not be the easiest of places, nor the safest at times, but its a fresh start all the same. Whatever reason you came here. Whoever you are. We're all on this path together. Whatever our styles or origins." He sighs and smiles looking back at Renalis."So to me, when I look out at this sect. I see hope, for me, for you, for all of us.""Hope... I'd like some hope if I can find it.." The junior novice looking up."And you will!" Venti nods grinning. "And for what its worth even if I'm not a master. I've been in your shoes... if you ever want some advice or help. I'll be happy to give it. Lots of others are to. It's all part of... well being here. No ones a island."He leans down and digs into his bag again to find his beans spent. Except for a singular remaining yellow Jellybean. A idea strikes his mind and he takes it. Holding it against the moonlight."But for now..." He taps it with a finger and silently whispers "Grow" before the candy suddenly grows to be bigger then the bag it came on. He hands it over to renalis. "Have a jellybean."The boy blinks in surprise and wonder wide eyed at the sudden act of magic before taking the giant candy carefully."Um... thanks. How'd you do that?" He asks before taking a small nibble of the giant candy."I'm half wizard what can I say?" Venti winks. "...That was divine delusion though. Just for reference. You go down that route you're figure out how to do that stuff sort of thing to eventually... not that I'm terribly far along but you get what I mean."This combined with the giant candy is finally enough to get Renalis to grin.3/4 (Kinda miscounted how much text there was
>>96383045"Well... that would be pretty cool to be able to make giant jellybeans whenever I want... Would you really be willing to help me? I'm... not a fast learner.""Of course!" The bard nods enthusiastically. "Like I said, we're all in this together. If you go the magic route I'm happy to share what insights I have on it.""I'd appreciate that." The zora sighs but sits up a bit straighter, as if a weight had been lifted from him a bit."No problem." Venti nods, lightly clapping them on the back."You should probably get to bed though. It's getting really late now. I'll be up in a bit myself just want to do something first.""Yeah... I guess thats smart" Renalis nods standing up. Holding onto the candy with one hand like a large rock."Goodnight. See you at class maybe." He says turning back and heading up the path. "Goodnight. Don't eat that candy all in one setting. I don't need Master Citali chewing me out" The bard calls back before looking up at the night sky. The sound of the boys steps slowly fading into the dark as he resummons his notebook. Words finally come again, Venti quickly jots them down."Tears for the life I've lost, stream in torrents out of me But when they finally cease. I can see a universe of purest sky and sea."He nods satisfied with that for now before standing up and heading back himself. Tomorrow was another day4/4

Doesn't need to be constant growth. or action. Fill that with time at the sect, travelling and being on a expedition deep beneath the earths surface lead by Zhon li. And then finally get started with saint stuff early stage 4 after killing the Nascent demon king back at the peak third stage.
>>96383334Every Woman In The World And More should do the trick.
So, quick thing for Reign of Winter. For Earthling background i was thinking of offering a choice of select guns for the 100cp item. For this i have two questions>1Should i offer a list of firearms based off of what's listed in the Rasputin Must Die module, or just blanket offer any firearm reasonable available in 1918?>2Should i limit this to handheld firearms, or allow you to get a Maxim Machine Gun as an option?

I'll think more of stuff to fill it in when I get to it. But that's what comes to mind right now. Maybe getting used to being saint all its own without any rulership duties. Travel around hyrule helping people. Building things. I thinking creating things would be a pretty principal virtue in Hylian religion in this world.

At least, assuming you aren't already stacking so many perks from other jumps that you didn't need what you were gonna buy there anyway... I have another overlord question or maybe a complaint for the eternal legend scenario I thought you just had to reunite the guild. However rereading it apparently nothing you bring in to the jump works to find them even be it keen research abilities or luck perks, apparently you have to conquer the world or something make it your bitch and then they come back? Am I reading this wrong because it seems kind of dumb honestly. You have to conquer the world, your stuff doesn't work? Additional question would anyone be truly pissed if I just went with what I understood and already planned for and did things my way, you know not by conquering everything and using reasonable methods?

Also pretty smart, considering she was able to last a full year in magic school while being unable to successfully use magic. The interesting part is in her world elves and humans are enemies, so if she wound up in Hyrule she’d freak out at first, though once you get her to listen she’d calm down. Also note that she doesn’t have many friends, so she’s weak to friendship.
>>96386643>Wasn’t Alicia part of a royal branch family?Yeah. I admit I'm not sure I want to keep Alicia to relevant or gently retcon her out though. I admit I conceived of her initially when some of my plans were less fleshed out and she doesn't fit as well anymore with the magical girl stuff to me a bit. She had a custom style and the rest of the setting in hyrule uses some variation of the scriptures. And I got a lot of characters to juggle in the air a bit. Perhaps I could do a retcon where shes a divine delusion/god body user though if it'd be better to keep her.>The interesting part is in her world elves and humans are enemies, so if she wound up in Hyrule she’d freak out at first, though once you get her to listen she’d calm down. >>96386738>I do think some Alicia plot stuff could get crowded with hylia now in the mix to admittedly.Hmm. Maybe Alicia’s backstory is she died to a monster when she was a little girl. This was not particularly concerning for anyone, the founder of her clan was one of Hylia’s siblings, and that connection meant Alicia’s soul went to Hylia’s realm. While there she had a chance to speak with Hylia, and the memory of that conversation is what made her the person she is, with the impact of being in her presence having shaped her cultivation. This does raise the question of how Hylia could have siblings with her if she came from another world, but maybe they all wound up in xianxia land together.>Hmm... well perhaps that can be a world venti eventually visits and takes her with him when he starts world hopping. Got to cure the sister.Louise would want to get home sooner than that, I think. Maybe what happens is you take her back home and heal her sister, and in exchange she learns cultivation from you. Fortunately, if you’ve created a sect you should be able to trace a path back to her home dimension, and with Louise being fairly smart and wanting to learn magic she should pick up Divine Delusion pretty easily. Also, to keep the Hoyoverse references going, maybe Hylian Louise looks like Elysia from Honkai Impact.
[Nier Automata]One sunny afternoon while I was having motor oil tea with a Machine Lifeform aristocrat (he had been an aristocrat for about 5 minutes shortly after finding the concept "positively spiffing" while reading), I suddenly became aware Elodie was trying to conceal one of the worlds intersecting this reality from me. I put down my tea, excused myself out the door-and immediately teleported to the space-time junction where this reality was about to overlap with another one."Whelp, that sure was one crazy adventure!" said 9S, who seemed to be vanishing off to other worlds a lot lately. "I can't believe that poor Android used to be-""Oh? Do tell?" I said."I can" said 2E dismissively, "we aren't programmed to do something insane and reckless like absorb a massive amount of D-WAVE energy unprompted. That can only have been a-""Yes? Yes, go on?" I asked. Confused by my sudden interest, they started babbling an explanation while I stared holes in the hazy magical girl sparkles concealing the gap in space-time into the world they'd just left. It seemed to be an advanced civilisation under threat by monsters, in which humanity was reduced to scattered populations and a relative upper class inhabiting some sort of Arks. The primary defence constructs for this civilisations were called...Nikkes..... . ."Anon? Anon wait, just wait, we can talk about this" said Elodie urgently, manifesting in a poof. "I know things look bad but-""Grail" I said with quiet anger. "At once, master" said my enforcer, butting Elodie out of the way as I strode into the other world and thought about-[Mega Man]"You need to be brought to heel, Maverick!"-the past-[Fate/Jumpchain]"You're a Servant! OBEY YOUR MASTER!"-and all I had learned in it.[Ar Tonelico]>The data slate was clear>The AI capable of saving the world was mocked by her flawed creators, and sealed for trying to improve the lot of the revytails1/4
>>96388478"Anon WAIT, please, there are innocent people down there-""The universe cries out for a tyrant, Elodie" I said softly, as I hovered towards the nearest so-called Ark. "That is not megalomaniacal autofellatio, it is an observation of how power dynamics organically create social structures within the construct you call free will. A successful man is afforded more leverage, respect and privileges than an unsuccessful man. The popular are held above the masses. And those with information wield it to the disadvantage of the ignorant. Always. Always. This is the pattern"There are times when I take a slow approach, a general measure of pruning and tending to a world as one would a garden. Times when I use avatars, elevate those within, debate and purchase and engage in all the other delaying actions for a quiet world conquest. This is not one of those times. "This world deserves Anti-Life for all" I said, "except the...the subjugated. The Nikkes""Yes, master. Yes, it does" said Grail as Elodie searches for nonexistent mercy in her excited gaze. It is over in a thought. Somewhere an abusive hand pauses mid-swing, somewhere schemes are frozen in place. Somewhere humans are threatened with choking on the water they drink or a fall from a misstep; the only reason I tasked Grail with making sure they lived is because I want them to understand their position. The only beings I had any respect for reacted at first with panic, then mounting concern, and at last in long exodus to the beacon of white fire I have lit.In an instant, the Rapture Cores powering the Ark are removed by block chain computations and redirected to the surface. All aggressions against the Ark ceased as the lifeforms attacking it pursued their plummeting overmind."W-what have you done to the Ark? Why are you doing this?""This is why" I tell them. And I show them what M.M.R. does to Nikkes that fail their tests three times.2/4
>>96388482The Ark should be plummeting. It doesn't because my Primordial will holds it there, just as I show the Nikkes how many of their kind are torn apart, abused, rejected by the hateful hearts of the humans. Some of them reject the truth. So I continue to show them everything I can feel from the human consciousnesses of this world: The disdain, the irrational hatred for the only thing standing between them and certain extinction, the fickleness and wilful stupidity. Some of them already knew, of course. Those ones are urging me to finish the job. By the time I am done none of them are fit to defend what they have seen, even the most patriotic in a state of disillusionment. "Anon..." pleaded Elodie, "there are CHILDREN on that Ark""My father reaped the firstborn of Egypt to win a theological argument, as a NECESSARY component for universal salvation. I see no reason to leave a job like this unfinished" I said, preparing to let the Ark drop. "To let this incessant cesspit of mercantile chaos continue to churn out suffering. That is quite enough. This is just like the Human Order. Mankind creates it's own servitors, then blames those tools for being objectively better in every regard""There has to be a more nuanced solution to this than taking out free will forever?""Nuance? We are well past nuance, Elodie" I said, as Grail reached out and filled the population with Anti-Life. Awaiting my command to walk them off the Ark.Elodie took a deep breath. "And what are you going to do with the Nikkes afterwards?"I stared at her. "This world has reached a dead end. They may do with it as they please""Okay, so...you're NOT going to adopt them? Set up any kind of support structure?""I will baptise them in fire so that their components will last forever-""NOT what I'm talking about!" shouted Elodie as silently, some of the Nikkes screaming in horror as the first worthless sacks of organs start plummeting mindlessly from the edge.3/4
>>96388483"And, and if you look at gross national output" Elodie was ranting at a mile a minute, trying to convince me of this abhorrent place's necessity. And at last, coming up with something I deem worth hearing. "Furthermore. If you kill them now, you've just...made piles of inert organic matter, right? But if you let them live. Then. Any potential civilisation will understand the consequences of..."For a moment, she hesitated as she dwelled on why I had moved so quickly "...of the behavioural pattern you are trying to monopolise""I deem your protest logical" I said, turning back to the Nikkes. The Ark gently floated down to the surface, guided by my will. "Leave, and enjoy your freedom. Stay, and protect the worthless from inevitable dissolution. The choice is yours""...I don't understand. Are you our new commander?" asked one. "I am a system correcting a great outbreak of chaos. Nothing more" I told her. "You are safe now. Forget me"I watched the humans start screaming as Grail reluctantly lifted the Equation, giving them back free will. I no longer considered burning them all to ash, but as the more compassionate Nikkes tried to comfort them I lashed out mind to mind-instilling a series of memetic triggers similar to childbirth, an anal prolapse and lethal depression all at once triggered upon any form of intentional malice directed at a Nikke. Across every human in the Ark."There. NOW you are safe" I breathed, turning my back on that world as Elodie winced but also breathed a huge sigh of relief while Grail bumped her again on our way back....A couple weeks later, a bunch of Nikkes showed up on my doorstep asking where I lived. I made them some food and told them to go away and never think about this place again and to live blissfully ignorant of a multiverse full of uncaring cruelty.Several days after that, MORE Nikkes showed up for some unfathomable reaosn. 4/4

Anyway I just thought it fits the mortal concept of humour that many magic-based necromancers would have no more inherent power against a zombie horde that is NOT animated by mystical energies, that they would be against an ordinary angry mob-““What’s he talking about? Oh god, did we take too much blood? Stay with us!”“-while, I don’t know, a DRUID or something might be able to eventually reach an understanding with the infection with their nature-communing ways. None of this will make sense of you because of your limited experience with the true nature of reality, but I don’t have anything to do and you need me staying still here so I get to do what I want, and right now I want to contemplate the role of the strong anthropic principle in assigning nasty meat stuff to the mystical forces of death, and happy meat stuff but more consistently plant stuff over animals to the mystical forces of life”The medical personnel stared helplessly at me, convinced I’d gone insane.“And no, the megamycete doesn’t count” I added. “It’s not TECHNICALLY witchcraft, it’s just LARPing really hard”

Now that the OTHER Divine Human and her cabal have failed we have to find another way. I think we can all agree on what the most efficient and clearcut solution to our present problems is” I announced to my cute witch spawn.“Yes, papa” they chorused. “Marketing degree!” I announced at the same time as they said “Collecting the cores of demonic beasts to purify this forest!”I proceeded to explain that while the other Divine Human was compromised, her own apprentices were working on that and with the forces of Azamina (who I added I’d prefer to take in alive, BUT also would understand if they had to use lethal force) aggro’d in my general direction they were in a prime position to catch them off-guard. The long term problem of the White Forest(s) was a PR crisis so bad, humanity had somehow completely overlooked the horde of corruptive demonic lifeforms to blame the sweet witch lady for all their problems. And while I’d LIKE to solve the problem with the erasure of free will, ultimately I decided that learning to engage with, manipulate and take over human social systems would be beneficial to my daughters’ education as deities-to-beBeing good girls, they went “Yes, papa” again with all the facts on the table.1/4
>>96393717After I’d seen my children off to the best Stanford marketing program my fat wads of cash could nepo them into, I returned to the sidequest of fighting off demonic invasive species (and one very lost goblin gang). Mainly I just threw up barriers of Erdtree energy to tank everything while using my newfound magic to start building|growing a new Naturia-style Sephirot god-tree-computer out of the existing White Forest components. As demon after demon slammed their poor aching heads on the vestiges of Marika’s racist divinity, and as very confused ambient natural forces were coaxed into highly advanced theotechnological circuitry, I also started scanning for crossover events.“Hmm, nothing” mused Elodie. “Are you SURE?” I exclaimed. “Every Age of Fire has influenced the Age of Fracture a little, during the Nightreign Crisis…” “The resonance calculations don’t lie, Anon” said Elodie, waving a magical girl wand at me. “It appears that two completely different tree-associated, fertility-adjacent matriarchies spontaneously evolved into existence across completely different realities”“Fascinating. It must be a subset of the original Edenic monomyth” I mused. “Are we SERIOUSLY just ignoring all that food and loot out there?!” complained the eccentric dragon that had shown up at some point. “I’m HUUUUNGRY! Hungry for POWER!”“Noted. Here, eat”I opened the barrier a fraction. A bunch of demons started to squeeze in. I closed the barrier, severing them. The dragon started slurping and scarfing down their remnants furiously.Eventually Azamina herself showed up in her new body, having had enough of this nonsense. She started proselytising about her own godhood while I smiled, nodded, and took notes with all the good humour of a lepidopterist finding a species of butterfly waving little nets at him.“Certainly. But first, do you mind handing over that body and doing it somewhere else?” I asked. 2/4
>>96393718“Look, my objections to your current objective are more utilitarian than ideological. I have a professional working relationship with someone like you-someone I suspect IS effectively a higher dimensional archetype of you-founded on the production of ultimate lifeforms in exchange for organisational efficiency. So I’m actually quite happy to enable your ascension with a minimum of cooperation. I can offer you a far superior form of sustenance than the current biological standards of this world”Azamina proceeded to belt out a litany of JRPG villain cliches, coloured by confusion. How dare you mock my divinity (what do you mean there’s something greater than me?). You stand no chance against my armies (what even IS that barrier?). That construct of yours won’t save you (why would you turn a tree into a computer?). “Your doubt is understandable. Let me show you more of what I have to offer, in terms you understand” I said, activating the Sephirot . “I’m going to lower the barrier. I’m then going to try to corrupt YOU. If you truly are a god, you’ll corrupt me first. If you’re not, you’ll be civilised and ejected from your current body. Sound fair?”It sounded fair to Azamina. Right up until the Sephirot tree cracked open, revealing the amalgamated crucible of Worms and Orderswarm that had been stuffed in there and bolstered by my magic-cycling the White Forest’s power and evolved by my magic. There was no time for evasion. A tide of flesh of vine fell upon the demons.Sometime later, the Great Which Diabell woke up in the company of her daughters with a clean bill of health and an offer from my daughters for an ownership share in the White Forest Public Affairs Bureau once it was founded. 3/4
>>96393723The forest appeared to be rid of demons and more serenely holy than ever, but nature…had changed. Here and there were sacks of chrysalis-like organic matter full of writhing figures expelling small, twitching life with leaves for wings and roots for feet. There and here were sacs hanging from the trees in which the concept of subjugation was exuded like sticky sap. And somewhere in the middle of a forest, was a very diligent business partner reshaped into a squatting position who was constantly producing more cute and fascinating monstergirls for me. As per the terms of the contract. Occasionally the form of my business partner twitched, moaned or sweated Worms. The Great Witch Diabell was somewhat concerned by all of this. But because increasingly more thankful humans were showing up at the forest to leave thank-you notes, participate in demon-warding activities or bring more compost for the forest, ultimately she decided to turn a blind eye to it. Azamina being defeated and…missing, presumed sealed, helped was the cherry on top.All she knew for sure was that despite actually being healthier than before her possession as a result, whatever treatment had exorcised Azamina from her body had also left her with an inexplicable phobia of udon noodles. 4/4

I see people casually mentioning they include QQ/SB jumps or supplements in their chains when a few months ago that seemed almost unheard of in terms of chains regularly posted on /tg/, and then I see people fighting about rules minutiae for what I thought anyone with common sense would see as joke jumps. I sure as hell don’t see a lot of people adhering to the rules (which were always guidelines since Quicksilver’s day anyway, with the intent to make chains more fun than to be some kind of draconian /tg/ Jump Reich) anymore, not even for powergaming reasons, but oftentimes for fluff ones. >>96395420One of the others is about an immortal nonbinary who was locked up by the SCP's predecessor for being too kind for early Americans and thus accidentally forming an egaliarian, proto-communist cult of kindness, so actually yes due to the userbase being neurotic about their gender identities and consequently having a skewed view of horror the SCP timeline has certain social movements happening well ahead of modern American culture.
>>96394821It's called the woke mind virus for a reason.
>>96394821A lot of them basically ARE Shard but a lot more in-your-face and prone to proselytizing about about how "good" they are, acting like the pretentious zero self-awareness passive-aggressive cunts they are whilst brainwashing, mindraping, torturing and just generally ruining every setting they touch. Even Shard himself takes them off from being a conquering tyrant and can enjoy quiet or chil worlds, or let their heroes naturally take center stage whilst he does other shit, or even take the L due to his own autistic hangups. SBers with savior co mm plexes cannot do that - pretty much every instance of them entering a setting is them causing horrific things and then acting like they did everyone a favor.
>>96392974>average levelDangerous if you want to get into the thick of things and actually do stuff for corpos and the like. Insect spirits, shedim, random heavily armed grunts, jacking into a system then getting yourself splattered over a wall because you underestimated their cyber-security, the works. It's not unsurvivable, but it's the type of setting where you should fear the people who have lived to an old age where men die young.>top tiersIncludes the likes of Harlequin, the Great Dragons, and the Horrors. The first two have a wide "Do not fuck with" sign attached to them by pretty much the entire setting but many of them are genuinely trying to save the world in their own ways (even if a few of the dragons are smug assholes about it) and whilst Harlequin is the definition of a dour knight and mild cynic, he's also the one who has been most effectively keeping the Horrors out of the Sixth World for thousands of years. Generally stay out of their way and they'll stay out of yours. As for the Horrors, you'll hopefully never see them. If you do though, then it means that the world is ending and everyone is going to get eaten or worse.
>>96394821I imagine most of them would end up being those villains with heroic complexes that makes things worse when trying to play hero.
>>96395565That's because I am doing those little ingrates a favor, and I'm not going to stop saving people's lives just so the "heroes" can "take center stage" like my life is a fucking movie.

So this scene is less a scene and more a interaction but still wanted to get it out of my head."So this Christmas, is it a Hylian holiday?" Renalis asks looking at venti trying to perch a small Hylia statue to the top of the large Pinetree that was dragged into the novice quarters courtyard earlier that day. Snowflakes gently falling around the small group gathered around the tree hanging up small decorations of ornaments, ribbons or magical lights."Well not really but its-" Venti begins only to be cut off by Midna on the ground."It's not ventis just a heretic." The twili cracks dryly. Hanging up a small stone decoration covered in twili carvings."I am not a heretic! I'm just trying to do something nice from back home. It's not heresy and I'm not trying to be some kind of saint anyway. So it's probably fine." Venti protests climbing back down the ladder to the ground and rooting through one of the boxes by the trees base. "Hyrule still doesn't have a concept of "Saints" either Mr. Heretic. So, you're not helping yourself there. Midna continues grinning. "Huh...you worship the Santa?" Renalis asks confused."No""Yes" Venti and midna respond at the same time."Santa is not a God." Venti mutters shaking his head. You know this. I've explained this holiday to you every year since I've started doing this." He points at midna before grabbing a small glass with a glowing light in it. Hanging it gingerly on a branch. "I'm beginning to think you do this for fun." 1/3
Changed 1.0. has been uploaded to the bunker.
>>96399564"Well of course I'm doing it for fun." Midna grins. "I wouldn't be here otherwise. And someone's got to keep you grounded.""Keep me grounded huh? Thats what you call it?" Venti repeats but laughs a little as Renalis still looks on, confused at the two of them."So... who is santa then?" The zora asks."Well he's not a god for one. He's just... a folk hero humans have back home." Venti elaborates."Its a bit of a long story, but basically. If your good. Usually around winter time its said he would come and leave you gifts. And generally the holidays a time of gift giving and decoration.""Oh.. strange holiday" Renalis nods as he picks up a blue bauble with the triforce emblazoned on it."...Wait your human?" He asks after a moment registering the details of what venti said."Yes I am- Or was anyway. Why?" The bard asks midway up the ladder."I just... never met one before. I'd of never guessed. I thought humans weren't... well like you." Renalis says holding the ladder steady."Like me? What did you think most humans are like?"Midna interrupts before Renalis can respond."You know that hardly matters.- More importantly, Weren't you working on a gift for Ritsuka?""Oh yeah!" Venti nods as he drapes a blue ribbon carefully among the tree's upper branches. Holding on tight to the ladder."I'm still working on that. I wanted to get it done by christmas and to celebrate Ritsuka reaching the immortal realm but... it'll take more time to really do it properly. So I've resolved to get her something else in the meantime.""I see." The twili nods. Taking the opportunity to move the subject "And do you want anything in particular?" "Well, I could use a new instrument. I think I've pretty thoroughly learned the lute, and violin a bit at this point. Maybe a Ocarina? Anything you choose though I'm sure will be fine though"Venti says taking another careful step up the ladder2/3
>>96399564Do you have a doc with the worldbuilding for your particular setting? It doesn't seem like you're using the normal Triune setting.
>>96399564"Thats rather mundane as a desire." Midna comments."It's the thought that counts. Not the grandiosity of the gift." Venti shrugs."You really are all sentiment, aren't you?" The twili sighs grinning, "...Why are you using that ladder though? I saw you cast a levitation spell just last week?" "... That is a good question honestly." Venti says after a moment blinking."I didn't think of that." He immediately begins to climb down the ladder after finishing hanging the ribbon up."It'll be much easier if I do that."Midna just chuckles, Leaning down and suddenly ruffling his hair."Fourteen years and you still think as if your some mortal." "Don't patronize me!" Venti mumbles embarrassed trying to lightly bat the twili off of him."I am mortal though. Hell so are you. No one in this rooms not mortal if we want to get technical.""Well... yes but you get what I mean. We're hardly the same as a non-cultivator." Midna admits retreating from the shorter bard. "Hmmm maybe there is a bit of a difference. Still feels a little arrogant to say though. Maybe I'm not the one that needs to be grounded from time to time."Venti jokes, looking out at the pair with him and at the tree."Well... I think that's enough decoration for now. Who wants to go see what's in the dining hall tonight?""Me!" Renalis calls raising a hand. He'd been hungry for a bit. And was happy to take a break."Well there we go then. Let's go get dinner and finish this tomorrow during midday break maybe."He looks over at midna. "Will you be accompanying us oh fair pseudo mortal?" He asks jokingly offering a hand to her."I... suppose I could be convinced." Midna mutters taking it.3/3

>>96399578I don't have a proper doc I admit. I have a wordpad page I keep notes and my writing in. And its not the normal triune scripture setting admittedly but a xianxia setting I sort of based on it. Lots of elements are the same though admittedly.Happy to answer any questions that may arise though. They help flesh things out.
>>96399608I'm primarily curious about the cosmology. Triune Scriptures has a whole multiverse with Mortal, Immortal, and Divine universes, but I remember you talking about Hyrule giving territory and the like, so I imagine you went with a different structure for the setting?I also remember you mentioning you wanted to have non-triune cultivators around with more classic xianxia cultivation. How would spiritual sense fit into that? Triune doesn't really do spiritual sense normally but I'd imagine the Triune cultivators would develop something similar if only due to how advantageous it is? There's also the Dream Eye Awakening that also gives a massive advantage in terms of perceiving stuff that normal cultivators wouldn't have but Triune cultivators would have.Lastly I'm also curious how you handle the Karma system Triune had going on, and if there are non-Triune cultivators that are on the level of Triune Deities or if non-Triune cultivation doesn't go that far up.
>>96399564>So this scene is less a scene and more a interactionAn interaction can be a scene. I would know, I’ve made six post writeups that were mostly talking.>I'm not trying to be some kind of saint anyway.Yet.>>96399574>"I just... never met one before. I'd of never guessed. I thought humans weren't... well like you."Given how long you’ve been there, you’re not much of an example of what humans are like.>>96399588>"...Why are you using that ladder though? I saw you cast a levitation spell just last week?"Maybe because he’s all sentiment and a ladder is how he used to decorate the tree.
>>96399642>I'm primarily curious about the cosmology. Triune Scriptures has a whole multiverse with Mortal, Immortal, and Divine universes, but I remember you talking about Hyrule giving territory and the like, so I imagine you went with a different structure for the setting?Cosmology is something I'm sort of working out right now. The main Xianxia world. The one hyrules in would essentially be a immortal realm by triune scripture terms. Though with less common natural mortals. Mortal and immortal cultivators both are there. The worlds really big, typical xianxia scales. The divine realm is some nebulous thing atm because I haven't fleshed it out to much yet. But I imagine for other worlds they can vary to from more mundane like mortal universes or other xianxia worlds.>How would spiritual sense fit into that? Triune doesn't really do spiritual sense normally but I'd imagine the Triune cultivators would develop something similar if only due to how advantageous it is? There's also the Dream Eye Awakening that also gives a massive advantage in terms of perceiving stuff that normal cultivators wouldn't have but Triune cultivators would have.I imagine non triune cultivators do have spiritual sense. They sort of work on there own energy of Qi and the like that can be similar to triune cultivation in some ways but different in others. Essentially not making the distinction between Soul and mind and body in the way, Hylian cultivators do. Spiritual sense essentially would probably be there own variation of perceiving things beyond the normal spectrum. But Classical cultivation in generals faster if a more limited the hylian cultivation if that makes sense. More focused on strength and martial techniques or the elements in typical xianxia fashion.
>>96399642>Lastly I'm also curious how you handle the Karma system Triune had going on, and if there are non-Triune cultivators that are on the level of Triune Deities or if non-Triune cultivation doesn't go that far up.I imagine non-triune cultivation does go up that far. But cultivator deities at that level aren't really worlds in the way triune cultivators are by then. Essentially just being immensely powerful immortals that can fight on the level of gods. And I would like to keep the karma system. I could see the golden gods and Hylia maybe trying to weave that into the general metaphysics of Hyrule.
>>96399697>An interaction can be a scene. I would know, I’ve made six post writeups that were mostly talking.Fair>Yet.Shhh. He doesn't know that yet. Ventis basically fully hylian at this point. Integrated and everything.Humans in hyrule are sort of seen in different lights whether or not there cultivators or not. Mortal humans are to be helped, enlightened, Cultivator beyond hyrule? There essentially seen as near demons. Thats sort of why midna interrupted that conversation to avoid any awkwardness. >Maybe because he’s all sentiment and a ladder is how he used to decorate the tree.It very well could be honestly. >>96399790>Not that I object to the idea in general, I just don’t like the way Nyanko’s setting runs itNot the Venti anon, but what don't you like about it? Is it just too overbearing in terms of allowing antagonists for storywriting?

Venti's might kinda start to think this is where he's destined to die a bit given the lights still not letting up.
>>96399593Two of the origins and most of their perks are about being a latex beast that can zombie apocalypse anything biological.
>>96399857>Hmm thats a fair point honestly. I agree a bit that does feel just a little unfair. Maybe I'll cut that little detail out. But I do like the idea of karma having a weight to it and could be used for things. They way I’d run a karma system is to have it as more of an alignment meter, and what moves it are the choices you make. Like if you’re a normal human and your neighbor comes by and asks if he can borrow your car to get to a job interview and you let him, but unbeknownst to you your neighbor was actually plotting to murder their ex and borrow your car for the deed, then you would be judged based solely on what you knew at the time you gave your car to your neighbor, and since you didn’t know anything about what your neighbor was going to do you would be found blameless.>By the time Vaati shows up and eventually eats a good chunk of elemental essence out of a region of hyrule and a few sacred places. >>96399787Yeah, you will. You'll do it to shitpost.

That'd work for me I think. I might use that with some other elements from the original system.>Thinking this might be where you die and going in anyway is something everyone will respect.Probably after the fact. >>96399904>>96399724A KARMA system would be INSUFFICIENT to keep me from FLAYING GOHAN ALIVE AND HANGING HIM UP FOR THE CUCCOS TO PECK FLESH FROM, I would simply cultivate NEGATIVE KARMA and become a DEMONIC GODTIVATOR like the VOID HORROR sealed by the goddesses beneath Hyrule.>>96399804All MEXICAN WILL have their GOHAN MERCHANDISE confiscated and BURNED in front of them, before being forced at GUNPOINT to ritually PISS on their FUARKING “hero”
>>96399564>you worship the Santa?BASED, WORSHIP the Santa with a traditional pagan sacrifice of a Gohan with a BEAN lodged in it’s chest cavity!
>>96399980>But ventis ultimately going into it thinking. "Well I'm dead, but I love this world and the people in it. >>96400038>If I follow this correctly, the third age started when the new empress took the throne and it’s been 8 million years since then.Yep. She's been on the throne for a long time. Long enough that even most cultivators don't remember a time before her reign in hyrule.
>>96399603>So, what is your next main project?Finishing up Torutaru or Kemono Giga hopefully. And maybe doing more work on 7th Prince. Uni starts back up in like another week or so though so no promises.>Also hi, hope your week was off to a good start. My mother started today off by going full bitch but I just decided to not head in with her to the derm today because I wasn't willing to deal with her tantrum throwing, so I just chilled at home.
>>96400057Ah, I see. The order of the age and year had me uncertain. It might read better like this.>Tip: It is currently the year 8,026,190 of the Third Age in the Empire of Hyrule, the longest Hylian age by far. The Third Age began when Empress Zelda the Second ascended to the throne.
>>96400082That does read better admittedly thanks.
>>96400107Glad to help. I tried writing a few loading screen tips myself.>Tip: Under Empress Zelda the Second, the Empire of Hyrule has expanded in bursts. Each conquest is targeted at clans and kingdoms the rest of the world does not overly care about, and after the conquests are completed the Empire waits for the rest of the world to forget that the claimed lands were once not Hylian before advancing again.>Tip: The road networks of Hyrule have no equal anywhere in the world. The placement of the stones, seemingly random to the untrained eye, were designed early in the Third Age at the bequest of the Empress to maximize their beauty, while also functioning as a massive self-repairing array that keeps the roads well maintained, clear of minor debris, and eases the journeys of those who travel on them.>Tip: The development of a special array that can be placed on a mine to make the mineral resources within it regenerate has been a great boon to Hyrule’s economy, and the Empire has become very wealthy off of mineral exports.
>>96400235>at the bequest of the EmpressDarn it, that should be behest.
[Changed]Test SubjectPale Affliction (Free)Extremophilic Cascade (0)“Oh look, an unsightly affliction. How droll” I said, glaring at my inadequate avatar as I used A Hood On Death to physically manifest all the Pale Virus for a few miles into a cute vaguely asian-looking, miko-coded, demure girl. I manually edited my cells into pluriprotence, dissolved my bones and muscles into a contiguous mass, replaced the need for a stomach with an antimatter reaction process that produced no waste, started unfurling my form into higher dimensions and did some other tinkering to manually upgrade my physiology. “You. Annihilate your purview in all directions. Now” I ordered.“Yes, lord” she said humbly, “will you be desiring a designated symbiote as well?”“Elaborate”“A Latex Beast milord is the traditional cure for humans in this world. With your superior will, the usual side effects should be inconsequential. Look, one’s coming your way now!”I squinted in confusion at a hopeful coyote-looking thing not quite stalking me. “What a grand and intoxicating innocence” I said finally. “You think you can supplant perfection? Come. Embrace eternity”The creature jumped lunged at me, but instead the purifying Essence and femtomachines in my form negated it’s assimilation like an immune system. Hurt from rejection and confusion from what was happening to it quarrelled before confusion won out. “You operate under a preconception of finitude. Clasping an emanation of the divine like a child palming the ocean’s water and calling it his own. Crash against me, and be reborn” I said, patting the head of what was now effectively an Akuma and Noble from sheer exposure to my Essence. “Now go. Carve a river of my peace among your kin” I said, shooing it away.It didn’t take long to find out the human population was nonviable, which led me to round up the leaders of the Latex-kind instead.1/2
>>96400304They in turn followed the spreading field of holy Neutronium I’d manifested using one of the superior ontological weapons obtained from this world. Several different Latex lifeforms had tried to assimilate me-an orca, a greak auk, and even a blue hedgehog. Each and every time, I humoured the creature’s good intentions before simply hallowing it into another beacon of finality. “A trade offer is on the table” I told those assembled. “You get: Blueprints, schema and other information on the construction of advanced plastics and alloys as well as free education, which your physiology will let you mass produce simply from continuous prosperity. Thus, the eternal safety and prosperity of your lineage. You will be able to leave this planet and adapt to the interstellar void. I get: An aentropic civilisation under firm rule of law, with a priority claim on the manufacturing of those structures I deem necessary for the continued elimination of suffering. I do not require worship, but you will submit to specific modifications to avoid the conflicts of your predecessor species. Y/N?”The Latex entities chattered excitedly among each other, thinking about population booms and sending their spawn to Space University. And agreed.I spent the rest of the decade painting space white, advising the dominant Latex overmind entities on the cost-benefit analysis of forming the Latex equivalent of a Xel’Naga (“There is no longer any rush to the Final Shape. Carve firmly but precisely against the grain. Ensure your house is in order before claiming the stars”) and building a human reservation to use as an illustration of how NOT to run a species. The Latex rush to assimilate humans had died down after I taught them how to mass clone their own, perfectly happy to be assimilated humans. And now they just looked back at the frightened old humans with magnanimous pity. 2/2
>>96400235Oh these are pretty good. Thanks!Playing ESO and I thought tips in the style of elder scrolls loading screens might be a good way to sneak a bit of world building in when I don't have a decent image to post on occasion.>and after the conquests are completed the Empire waits for the rest of the world to forget that the claimed lands were once not Hylian before advancing again.Funnily enough this is basically the Empresses plan as I was thinking it as well.>>Tip: The development of a special array that can be placed on a mine to make the mineral resources within it regenerate has been a great boon to Hyrule’s economy, and the Empire has become very wealthy off of mineral exports.I do wonder who beyond the empires borders would buy from them. But I suppose there will always be someone. Though thinking about it the empires probably lousy with arrays of various kinds. big and small.
>>96399902I was more asking about perks that are actively detrimental to ME, like that one 600cp perk from Goodbye Strangers that forces you to suffer constantly endless pain that leaves you barely functional. Or that other one from Goodbye Strangers that makes it constantly rain Stranger corpses while not actually giving you any immunity to the diseases and other effects of said corpses
