I hit up the D&D group recently to see if they were going to start a campaign soon, but now they’re all into 40k. Lucky for me, my IRL shit has benefited me financially so I can afford to get into it, so I’m gonna delve into it.I know from casual exposure what it’s mostly about in terms of playstyle and lore, but still need to learn all of the tabletop mechanics. I felt like the Blood Angels would be a great starter faction to play and nobody else in my circle was playing them or even really for the Imperium of Man, so I just ordered the Combat Patrol set. I also like the speed/melee focus of the BA. I realize I’m going to have to build and paint everything and get more familiar with the necessary mechanics, but anyone have any suggestions for how I should expand my army after I get settled in? I feel like the Sanguinary Guard and Dante will be necessary, but beyond them anything?
