Thread question:
What do you expect/wish GW would do with the eldar next? They haven't been mentioned a whole lot recently.
>>

Actually have any kind of news or mention of what the hell they are planning to do with Drukhari
>>
>>96465753

I want the Dark Eldar to start pulling out some of their superweapons. There's so much shit that they keep mentioning but there are just no models. Vect has apparently got an arsenal of War in Heaven era stuff that he just doesn't use
>>
>>96465753
How do you transport stuff? I'm getting back into 40k with a 1k heavy assaut marine army that has 26 models. All of the options i've tried so far are too small and everything else just jumps in size, can't stand magnets. I could just go back to the old towel in a tupawear box, but I'd rather not. I tried the BF mini but it only carries 20 at most

>What do you expect/wish GW would do with the eldar next? They haven't been mentioned a whole lot recently.
Webway war
Cumrag's situation will get worse prompting Vect to intensify raids on Realspace since he is looking for some MacGuffin to seal the breach or some shit like this. Might be a justification why they are in 11th Edition box if they are there and not the Orks
Deldar update
Corsair wave with Yriel
As for Craftworlders in particular - for now no idea. Maybe something when Exodites become a faction. Exodites and Craftworlders would start carving out realms to rebuild Eldar empire. Would be an excuse why Exodites are now everywhere. But that requires Exodites to become playable faction next Edition. And I think new faction will be Lost and the Damned with DarkAdmech this time, since Votann - a Xeno army - was last faction to be introduced.
>>
>>96465880
This is the reason why GW doesn't want Imperium and Eldar teaming up too much. It'd be too bad ass.
>>
>>96465886

so 9th Edition at earliest
>>
>>
>>96465888
Lost and the Damned would be great, we don't really have any way to make a renegade or traitor guard army that isn't just CSM or guard with the numbers filed off.

I looked it up, it's a real website. I know the OP is a shitposter, but why does it exist? I'm convinced it's some sort of psyop to make comp players look bad. It has to be, right? And the shitposter is part of that effort? Like, he's helping them, isn't he? Right? Who the fuck would actually think running a business based on the absurd premise of "COACHING FOR 40K" is a good idea?

Is there any more proof someone can dredge up that this whole "art of war" thing and the "t-sports" shitposter are part of a coordinated psyop? Maybe they're both connected to that raid discord I keep hearing about.

>CWE
Biel-Tan is actually super-perma-fucked and they have to leave the craftworld in a specific star systems with a Maiden World which then becomes the base of Biel-Tan's new eldar empire as they start calling in favors and conscripting Exodites across the galaxy, reinforcing the star system etc. Tallarn gets to establish a permanent embassy there.
Some of the Craftworlds destroyed during the Great Crusade like Thuyelsa and Loeviatar are reintroduced by some of their survivors still being around and being outright genocidal towards humanity, they go around just burning worlds by whatever means necessary not caring if it helps or hurts their race's goals as they're just vengeful assholes now. Give a good reason to play evil CWE.
Altansar begins working with Necrons against Chaos and daemonic threats because the other Eldar shun them so much, they stir the pot at Pariah Nexus even more.
>DE
Humanity's psychic awakening starts turning a significant amount of slaves and victims at Comorragh into psykers. Instead of outright executing everything Vect and his Homunculi try to create weapons out of these psykers, especially the ones turned into eternally screaming couches and whatnot. They start using humans turned into psi-guns and creating new freakish creations like eight human psykers sown together and controlled by a captured Craftworld eldar to get a fortress-busting psychic monstrosity etc. These new creations help them stabilize the disjunction situation a bit.

Are transports really necessary in 10th if you use their recommended terrain layouts? There is so much LoS blocking that it has pretty trivial to keep stuff from being shot and the board is so much smaller now.

>If a lone lion tries to kill any of the four herbivores mentioned, it will die 9/10.
Nope. All three of those prey species exhibit the same prey terror response to a lone lion as they do to a human because they're genetically conditioned that lions are their predators. A lone lion can knock a bull elephant over by tackling it sideways, then kill it while it's down by tearing out its throat. Same for rhinos. With hippos it's a little trickier since they have to leave the water for this to work, but the same tactic is effective against all of them.

wrong, lone prideless lions have been documented hunting even bull elephants with full success. It's not their first choice of prey, but a hungry lion will not hesitate to take down a healthy bull elephant. It's why even bull elephants genetically fear lions. Lions are truly kings of the jungle.

>>
>>96466530
It's a myth based on the fact that you can't prove any of those things that were written in RT/2E are actually true and really happened.
In the end it's just in-universe speculation or intentionally written in a misleading way by GW's writers themselves.
Nevermind that GW's writers, and even the original creators, are of the opinion "everything is canon, not everything is true."
So even if there are contradicting pieces of information, that is entirely by design of the creators.

The entire point of 40k is that any information you do get can never be 100% reliable. It could be real, yes, but it could also be propaganda, a cover up, a bureocratic error, rantings of an insane person.
And even if you did ever find the truth, it could be so outlandish and weird that you can't even sure that it is truth.

All of it is just myths and nothing more so players can come up with their own ideas and interpertations.

Irrelevant. You claimed small predators of large animals don't exist, but they do. Even bobcats can hunt deer. Size isn't everything. The size of the elephant being used against it is how the lion is able to hunt it by knocking it over. There's no reason why a Primarch would be stronger for being 10 feet tall except that he looks more impressive than a Primarch who is 'merely' 8 feet tall, like Alpharius.

Tape an X on your desk. Then hold your model above that X. You are not allowed to move the miniature away from that X or you are "out of frame". You cannot position yourself above the X in order to get a better view because you would cut in front of the camera. You also must focus on painting the surface directly facing the camera otherwise "the camera" can't see what you're doing. I had a friend try streaming painting for a while and he likened it to painting a miniature you're holding inside a microwave oven

Make sure to not have too much paint on your brush, that's what I was doing wrong when I was starting out. As for consistency, thin it more than you normally do when basecoating etc and adjust if necessary. It's supposed to be a bit runny so it flows really easily. Takes a bit of getting used to since it'll often vary from paint to paint but it clicks eventually.

the reason pylons work are simple
c'tan and chaos gods are two rulers of different realms, the materium and the immaterium
Pylons shut off the immaterium
The Emperor exists in the interstice between material and warp - he is both and neither. His power grows in the physical realm from sacrifice and the warp from psychic energy. It is as if a logic gate could be flipped to '0' or '1' to stop anything else that's '1' from working, but the Emperor is '2'.

Seems to be fine so far. Terminators and bikes fit in the bigger spots. Extra trays can be purchased and swapped as needed (they're a standard size from a well-known fishing tackle brand). I bought it when it was on sale from a hardware/sport store so it wasn't too much, either.

It does seem like magnet tray backpacks are the new hotness though. Buddy of mine brings his stuff in a big plastic cabinet with a clear door and metal trays that fits into a custom fabric backpack. Shit's expensive and you don't want to be using the Tamiya Extra Thin on your model bases but it does work, basically.

But you aren't going to hear me complain if EC got a few more unit options. *cough* Hellbrute *cough* cultists.

Go full Legacy of the Void.
Eldar have a large event where Craftworlds, Exodites, Harlequins, Ynnari, and Dark Eldar come together and deal a major blow to Slaanesh that frees them of being perpetually trapped by the soul thirst. Not a long term alliance; Harlequins. Dark Eldar, and Ynnari break back off afterwards to pursue their own agendas. Exodites and mainly absorbed into the Craftworlds, give'em a Kill Team maybe.
Eldar re-establish themselves as a major power in the galaxy while also acknowledging the mistakes of the Eldar Empire and working to prevent them (even going as far as conflicts with Dark Eldar, who are overtaken by the Haemonculi who wish to re-establish the Old Empire).
Put a significant focus on the actual rivalry between the Eldar and the Necrons as well as with Slaanesh.
And above all have Vect return as a major character and centerpiece, with an audiobook where he's voiced by John de Lancie.

depends on if it's FW resin or GW resin.
FW resin is generally pretty good, you'll have to give it a scrub to remove the release agent, and the biggest thing you need to keep an eye out for is slips.
GW resin is a bit more iffy, I don't think there's any left being sold but if it's a resin cast of an old metal mini you can run into a few more casting issues, but most of molds made for resin are pretty alright besides little holes from air bubbles.
Either way just get resin shit from a recaster.

Void dragon is much larger. Also gw prices have never been about how much plastic you're getting. They're all over the place depending on what army they're for, of its a named character, if you're likely to buy only one, and their general role on the battle field.

I have to say, despite my gripes with the steeljacks' role in the army I absolutely love that we have a unit of beefcakes being led by a small fry character. There's so much of the direct opposite to this that it's really unique to me.

That's honestly not half bad, almost comparable to the old one in value. Talos/Cronos are each worth as much as the boats that were in the old patrol, and you're still getting two squads and a character. I'd get one or two since I don't have many Coven units and really like them.

>Bandai kits can be filled with sprues because-
Bandai kits were already riddled with sprues long before they merged with Namco and became a multimedia empire. Pic related is the contents of a kit from 2001 that includes
>29 runners that creates a 32cm tall robot when you're done
>Separate metal parts for the waist and legs
>Screws to ensure sturdy assembly
>LED lights in the head and torso
All for the low price of 15000 yen, which is technically a little bit over $100 going by exchange rate but due to all the tariff stuff and the size of the model's box it usually goes for $160-180.

I mean fuck, they're still printing models that released in the 80s and selling them for the exact same yen prices they were over 40 years ago while GW's made-to-order stuff is always charging modern model prices for 30+ year old metal molds. Just look at them charging $40 for the old-ass metal Eldrad Ulthran mini from all the way back in 2nd edition while they're charging $37 for the current model for example.

It's got nothing to do with the Namco side of things, it's solely that they've perfected the art of injection molding decades ago while other manufacturers can barely keep up in both production quality and quantity.

>>
>>96469407
Away fine let's discount what they're doing right now to focus on where they were at 20-30 years ago. Gundam was the most popular animated cartoon in Japan for almost 10-15 years. It was more popular than teenage mutant ninja turtles, transformers, gi joe and heman combined. For 40 years they have been balancing their prices and margins across all their products and every year gain a snowballing amount of IPs. Bandai has been such a giant for so long that there is absolutely no point in comparing them. The only reason they have the money to pour into injection moulding tech is because their IPs are so plentiful and all of them are super profitable. Gw doesn't come even close to selling as well as bandais worst performing IP

>>96469434
I can drop a handful of space marines on a concrete floor and they'll bounce. If I drop an hg or God forbid a pg on a concrete floor it will fucking explode. See, anyone can make comparisons between things that don't have much in common. They're for different things. You don't pick up and move a gundam kit hundreds of times. If you were to try and transport and play with a gunpla kit for as long as you'd play with a miniature, the gunpla would slowly crumble into nothingness
>>
>>96469382
