>>96481983I think the big bcr beast kit is safe too>TQI just wanna see more vulkyn like stuff, which is the direction they're going in judging from the sneak peek. I also wanna see more magmadroth/vulcatrix stuff in their culture, like the drothblood.
Is an army of this even playable? I don't want to waste money on soon to be outdated models
>expectations for the fyreslayer rebrand/refresh ?you mean the solo pity hero? I think he'll have a 4/3/3/-1/2 profile and a roll a d3 to remove 1 chanting point from a priest in combat range, once per round army.
>>96481975I expect >Bael Grimnir named infantry hero>His daughter as a named cavalry hero >New Vulkite>Hero mounted on a smaller Magmadroth without an equivalent sized cavalry to lead >Flamespitting Cannon
>>96482005I just wouldn't touch anything until the reveals if I were you
>>96482005Just buy 20 kits of chaos spawn, worked out for that one guy so far
>>96482043When's the last time they squatted a brand new warcry unit... oh
>>96482052I'm not saying those kits won't be kept, I'm saying that your opinions on those kits may be flipped on their heads by the new kits and make you regret the purchase in hindsight If you want a perfectly up to date and coherent ogre army, don't touch ogres until the new stuff is shown
this looks good just straight up despite the complaining about leaks, I'll take this shit over nighthaunts garbage control aura 10 times out of 10. Practically 1 point per turn for every unit, last through the entire round, foot heroes and your cannons dicking around in the back are extra points to spend. Spell is strong, prayer is strong.
>>96482005Wait till reveals. Model wise, I have 0 faith that GW will make new Ogre models fun to build or kitbash. Rules wise, a rework similar to Nighthaunt would be welcomeSabertusks and Yehtiis are definitely getting cut from the bookFirebelly will either get a refresh alongside butcher and slaughtermaster or be moved out as wellI would appreciate if maneaters got a refresh
>>96482103The spell is insane. It forces most other factions to play at your speed or at least have the threat of them being forced to do so. Which is oddly flavorful. Getting a good cast off can suddenly cause an enemy to have been overextended and made into easy pickings.
>>96481975>hopes for fyreslayersthat they get some clothes and some better visual unit diversity>fearsmore identical naked dwarfs
What's Prime up to these days? Last time we saw the Celestant-Prime was during the Broken Realms if I recall correctly, wonder what badass shit he's been doing since the Hour of Ruin.
>>96482121>his fears don’t include just another pity heroYou have much to learn about how good GW is at disappointing people, child.
>>96482109yeah, new ogres are going to be soulless
>>96482005Bloodpelt is currently nothing more than a pet unit, that can exists if the opponent has no ranged or fast unitsGorgers don't have much utility, since their alpha strike is weak
>>96482132He exists.
>>96482148They'll be monopose with aosified poses, have faces uglier than some of the original models and definitely won't come with kitbash bits and gnoblars like the OG's Pretty nice conversion btw, but the head is way too big for that body
>>96482132Last thing I remember he was taking the side of the redeemed chaos dudes reforged into stormcasts when they proposed they should band together and go on quests as a group of their own to prove they're good sigmarites, since otherwise they face some prejudice from other stormcasts and some argue that letting them band together might make some "old habits" resurface.
>>96482132We haven't heard from him in a while. I guess Iono's explenation of the champion thing that let's him drift from host to host also appliest to Prime
>>96482109>Yehtiis are definitely getting cut from the bookI hate it. Winterbite was rad.
>>96482233I'm still betting on them getting an underworlds warband.
>>96482205prime did it first all along, gw was so cringeworthy with aos fluff in the first edition that they unironically wrote down that his armour changes colour to match the stormhost he's fighting with
>>96482243Too bad then that they missed the Deathgorge/Wintermaw cycle.
>>96482205He could do that all the way back in 1st you loreless fag.>>96482267How is that cringe?
>>96482267>his armour changes colour to match the stormhost he's fighting withYeah because he's the coolest guy. Fuck you.
>>96482278Tbf it's not often that the extra warbands actually match the season theme.
>>96482182>monoposeas opposed to literally 2 bodies, that are mirrored for the entire infatry range?
>>96482267>>96482205It isn't just the colours. The Big P takes on aspects of the Host he joins as well, we see this when he turns up to fight Lady Olynder during the Soul Wars.
>>96481975>dat imageHaha, look at the weak crumble.>>96482103Yeah, the Chorfs are looking to fuck and fuck hard. Friendly reminder that domination engines are confirmed to have +2 save and I would imagine at least 10W. The spells and prayers are some of the best in the game on paper, and we haven't even seen them all. It's so refreshing to read a faction that looks like some actual thought was put into it, and was clearly had a vision/concept executed start to finish. Biggest W since OBR.>>96482267How is that cringe? It actually makes sense.
>>96482391>How is that cringe? It actually makes sense. Not that guy but it reads like someone at GW fucked up the color scheme at one point and instead of admitting it, they just made something up that he can be whatever color he wants and they wouldn't have to fix it.
>>96482267>>96482502I mean it's just a very blatant way you can justify painting your prime in whatever stormhost colour you want. It's a bit transparent by gw but not a bit thing to encourage people well mostly kids honestly, let's face it 1st edition was all about bringing in new blood to make up their own armies and colour schemes.
>>96482502It seems pretty obvious that the reason he can change color is so that any Stormcast player, painting them in their own scheme is technically cannon
Hey anons, can anyone post terrain or gameboards they've made for AoS? I want to make my own gameboard with terrain for spearhead and one for 2k. Just looking for inspiration
>>96482567Shit is this yours? It looks fantastic
>>96482567Here's what I got, pardon the lighting
>Find cool terrain on Etsy>140 dollars for 1 (one) building
>>96481975>What are your hopes, fears, and expectations for the fyreslayer rebrand/refresh ?
>>96482719>>96482654>>96482567On the topic of terrain, does anyone knows a place that recasts Warcry Ghurish terrain?
>>96482777If its just another useless foot hero i will riot
>>96482719I just lowball random old women selling shit they don't know about on facebook marketplace.
How do yall add height to your boards? Large modular elevated pieces with ramps? Also if you’re adding buildings or ruins or whatever, do you put enough space in them for units to stand up properly or are they primarily for blocking LoS?
>>96482109When are the reveals?
>>96482109I think Ogors have a good chance, I realize it's easier to set expectations as low as possible so you're not dissapointed but I imagine you'll get some options. If new infantry is basically bulls and ironguts similar to how the new barrow guard are it wouldn't be too bad (though lacking extra bits and fun shit like old kits typically had)
I cant wait for people to try and say the old Mournfang cavalry had any sort of "charm" to them
>>96482873Next reveal show is probably warhammer day, in about a month. They might not show ogres though, probably nurgle and cursed city stuff to go through first.>>96482981You don't have to wait for that anon I'll tell you that right now
Does Vhordrai control his not castlevania castle or does it operate solely on vibes.
>>96481975>>96483046Lel poor steelhelms really are aos' ultimate jobbers
>Chaos hobgrots>Believe they will get a buff like Skumdrekk if there's a chaos dorf lord nearby or something like that>They are fodder only>Get gobbedI mean, i get it since Chorfs still don't trust hobgrots, but would have been nice to get like a slavemaster that buffs the hobgrots or something (Me a hobgrot fan)Also anons, has the minotaur golem been said if you could make it hybrid or it can only be pure cannons/maces?
>>96482621Hey anon, it's not mine but it is what I am aiming for for this gameboard and terrain. Want to do something kind of on the human/order side of aos, with a bit of gothic.>>96482654Great stuff. I know a few of these terrain sets, but are the ones on the left originals or kits?>>96482789I would like to know too.. I've heard good stuff about these guys though.https://archon-studio.com/rampart
>>96483098I think it can only use one profile between the guns and maces based on its wording. Still gonna give him both options though.
>>96483046nagash controls it, except for a few times it goes wherever and they don't say if its random or vhordrai or what.
>>96483103I don't have any originals :( I bought the imperial manor kit for 60 bucks on Ebay and it has the tower, the house, and a fuck ton of fences.
>>96483138Don't some undead hate nagash or are too fucking crazy that nagash himself cannot control them?
>>96482802Based and capitalism pilled.Free market bitch
>>96483267Quite a few are self aware and not happy to serve but are effectively obligated to lest he obliterate them. There was more of that in Soul Wars since he had kinda imploded his power level.
>>96482802Shame FB marketplace seems to be a really good place to find good deals on things. That would involve me making a new account on Cuckerberg's shit platform to be able to shop around.
>>96483332It's a pain in the ass but honestly I've found some cheap ass shit, and if you're nice enough people will give you bonus shit, mail stuff to you, or give you shit cheaper than listed.I remember I got like 2 soul wars worth of nighthaunt for like 80 bucks, like 4k points of stormcast like 150, it's a dangerous game for someone with disposable income and low self restraint when it comes to deals.
>>96482858my local has the typical stackable foam hills and such, which do the job okay. also a decent selection of buildings.i usually try to make sure when adding bigger pieces that cant be walked over that there's at least a good 8-10 inches between those pieces so people can fit their big models or squads through
>>96482567I use my Warcry sets with some hills I made >>96481971Ok, the DoK refresh will be ok
I feel like the Ogre refresh will be pretty character heavy right? Basically the whole range of characters outside of the Tyrant and Bloodpelt Hunter are resin still.
Are second gen Ogors mixed with humans are half races even a thing
>>96484049Apparently mentions of them are in BL books, but nothing in battle tomes or army books. They’re basically trivia fodder until they get a model.
>>96484042Probably like 2-3? I feel like big "refreshes" usually will be one new box with like 1 new infantry, some cav, some guy riding a horse or larger monster hero, and a foot hero. Then seperately like 1 other hero, a named foot hero, and one giant massive fuckoff named guy that costs like 100$ bucks.Maybe a warcry or underworlds team in the general timeframe as well.
>>96484131Man Eaters coming back as a Warcry or Underworlds team would seem like too smart of a decision for James Workshop to make
I think it really stinks that the current Ogor Spearhead is just okay in a vacuum and plainly worse compared to the last with new models on the horizon.
>>96483332>FB marketplace seems to be a really good place to find good deals on thingsI'm having a terrible time finding anything age of sigmar related on there, it's either slightly discounted stuff thats out of the box, broken, missing pieces, incomplete etc or some idiot trying to sell his entire sylvaneth army for +10% MSRP because he thinks his shit paint job makes it worth more.
>>96483055They unironically exist to be overrun by the Chad factions.>>96484187GW is blatantly releasing dogshit combat patrols/spearheads; I can't wait to see how much of a downgrade the new Drukhari box is. That said, the current/old Drukhari box was so good it felt like a mistake.
>>96484187Scrapglutt? The fact it doesn't have a full Gnoblar unit makes it 100% dogshit. Nevermind the pity scroll for the Hunter.I just bought the old one like 2 weeks ago and got some of it painted, so the refresh is mildly unpleasant to think on. I'm honestly fairly fond of how simple, but nice the sculpts have been - but it makes the Tyrant stand out way too much. >I just wanted to get away from overdesigned models after doing Cities and Hedonite mortals
>>96484563>GW is blatantly releasing dogshit combat patrols/spearheadsShit's been awful recently, they really cut down on shit. You barely ever get a centerpiece or big dude nowadays.
>>96484603Don’t chorfs have a center piece now in their spearhead
>>96484611Chorfs aren't even out yet
>>96484611I mean, I'll say the bull is decently sized but certainly no Terrorgheist,Carnosaur, or Treeman
>>96484637I guess it is a bit short of expectations
>>96484647SHORT?!There will be no alliances with any anons while I'm high king.
>>96484647>>96484656
Do AoS dorfs even have a book of grudges or do each faction just have a little notebook of upsets or what
>>96483046Bricks from his castle have been artifacts for his subfaction, so there must be a castle somewhere.Unless it was all taken appart for souvenir bricks
>>96482267>>96482284I wasn't saying he couldn't do that you faggots. I said they explained it, that's it's an official thing Sigmar permits and not a wierd thing that Prime does
So the nuchaos dwarves are going to a low count elite army correct?
>>96484555>digitsSame here I never see any good deals just people trying to recoup what they sunk into it so far.
>>96484899We just dont know. I plan on running a bunch of the bvlls though
>>96484611In their FOMO box, yes. No telling if they'll release the same models as a traditional spearhead box, or release an alternative. Personally, as someone buying the FOMO box, I'm selfishly hoping for the latter. Maybe an Ashen Elder, two units of bull centaurs, and a unit of blunderbusses.I'd buy two; I'd wanna reinforce my blunderbusses, I'm sure at least one variant of centaur will be good, and by some miracle it looks like we've got good wizards *and* good priests, so I'd want at least one of each.>>96484647THOU SHALT NOT DISRESPECT THE MECHA MANLET.
>>96484745KO have a Codex which they quote and go to court over with eachother all the time
>>96484899Can't say for sure until the battletome drops but in general, I'd say yes. You do, however, have a chaff option in the form of hobgrotz. Honestly, the range seems pretty well rounded, and I imagine the army can do most things well and skew however you want.
>>96484952lol sure, g4%w is going to give you two "discount" boxes on a new army with zero model overlap, rofl dream on.
>>96484976Going by the EC and SW combat patrols, it's not entirely outlandish. I think>Ashen Elder/Daemonsmith>Bull Centaurs x2>Infernal CohortIs very possible. I'd like to think they're not gonna cram a War Despot into every "discount" box, but maybe I'm delusional.
>>96484964>>96484935Thanks was thinking get them or Lumineath aelf race supremist chads or spookyboyz nighthaunt to get into AoS
>>96484899Probably average. Not stormcast elite, closer to lumineth, seraphon or bonereapers would be where I would put them from the photos
>>96484745Yes. For example, Dispossessed Duardin swear a bitter, unending grudge against Ushoran in Dawnbringers for killing their king.
>>96484956Codex is a law book, not a diary
>>96484586>doesn't have a full Gnoblarjeez wtf
