>>96492894every time I do this I get no replies while 5 people reply to swordfaggot's newest deck, pass.
>>96492731I got several games in yesterday and it did pretty well, I felt like I never had an issue with land so much as I did getting attacks through against other wide boards or decks that popped off faster than me.
I've been goldfishing to 40 with this deck, and while I can occasionally hit 40 on turn 5, I began to wonder what the ultimate upper limit was.So, assembling a perfect hand, I've been trying to hit 40 by turn 3, and I can't. Turn 4 is easy enough, especially with a turn 1 sol ring, but turn 3 seems to be beyond this deck, even under perfect circumstances. The frustrating part is that I've gotten to 39, but just can't get to 40.So, consider this a puzzle. Here's the deck, and see if you can hit 39 by turn 3, or, even better, see if you can surpass me and actually get to 40+.The rules are pretty simple. You can assemble any opening hand you want, and draw any cards you want after that at a rate of 1 per turn. All other magic rules apply (1 land drop per turn, etc.).
I want to make the most obnoxious bracket 3 deck possible. Should I go Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and not let anybody play anything or have fun or do I make Kefka the Discard Clown?

>>96493309Goldfishing in general is mostly just a form of solitaire. It's less about seeing how well the deck will do in a real match and more of just a way to kill some time while familiarizing yourself with interactions. For example, I didn't really appreciate how many interesting avenues Yuffie opens up, even without any opponent's artifacts on the field The steal is great, but the free equip, potentially off of a Ninjutsu, is also fantastic.Or how Sephiroth and Shivan Devastator are BFF for life.
Can some capeshit expert explain why "spider-verse" is a thing and there's a million different interdimensonial Spiderman while there's only a few different interdimensonial variants of other Marvel super heroes? Like as far as I know there's not like an Iron Man-verse, even if there are more than one Iron Man version of him.>t. used to watch capeshit but avoided comics
>>96493526Because all the comics do different things????Why are mutants oppressed in the X-men but heroes in other comics with powers indistinguishable from mutants are beloved?
>>96493526because spider-man is the most popular character marvel has, by a significant margin, so they made a billion versions of him because "it's spider-man, people will buy it"cape comics are absolutely the worst comics in the world

>>96491640>TQ: colorless decks all feel the same
>>96493526Money and an executive push for making Miles Morales more important. That's honestly it, really. But it didn't come *entirely* out of nowhere; it was riding on the coattails of the incursions storyline in which the Illuminati were nuking other realities to avoid their own from exploding and introduced dozens of variants of every super.Funnily enough, some characters like the pig, Noir and Spider-Gwen were just meant to be haha le quirky variants and ended up warping the whole deal around them. Particularly Gwen, due to her unexpected popularity, which was then tanked by pairing her with the nigger instead of Peter at a moment where he was being cucked for the Nth time by MJ and managed to alienate the fanbase by instead pairing him up with Silk in a case of "the writer's barely disguised fetish" and then, I shit you not, creating an AU where Gwen and Miles marrying somehow resulted in actual Utopia and them becoming the not-Fantastic Four, in the SECOND issue of the flagship new comic.
>>96492721Would.
>>96493633>Spider Gwen's popularity tankedlmao
>>96493611You see colorless decks at your table?
>>96493526Because Spider-Man is popular enough for his alternate universe versions to he people care about them and other characters aren't. There's a reason the original Ultimate Universe died with Peter and Miguel is the only part of 2099 that's been relevant since the 90s.
>>96493633>unexpected popularityI don't get why people say things like this. It's like the people who saw Frozen's popularity and feigned to have no idea why no other disney movie has come close to being as lucrative or popular.PRETTY BLONDE GIRL. I mean, fuck, the Japanese figured this out decades ago, even to the point where they can take someone with a checklist of things everyone should hate and know people will still love them just by making them a pretty blonde girl.

>>96493848Dope, I've been working on a cat tribal deck that's been focusing on auras. Is there some aspect of light paws that would fundamentally change the creature/draw/aura/removal ratio? I'm really struggling with that myself.

They want to be Elsa.Even with the far superior Anna within arm's reach, it's always all about Elsa, and her blue dress, and her ice castle, and her LET IT GOOOOOOOOOO.Even after Frozen 2 came out, still nothing has unseated that scene, of watching a pretty-faced girl go from dressing like a quaker nun and acting like a no-fun grandma, then running out into the wilderness and cladding herself like a streetwalker, all while screaming "ABANDON YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES" at the top of her lungs. There's even a lyric complaining about always having to "always be a good girl", like they knew exactly what needle they needed to drive into girl's hearts.

>>96493942Same experience, Brave is a dogshit search engine, especially for images. But when Bing and Google are just openly trying to feed you propaganda instead of what you searched for...
>>96493959I don't have the exact same but I have something similar. It's okay, but it's still just a big cardboard box so it won't feel super durable. I bought two and the second just came mildly squished in the mail so I'm guessing they can be easy to damage.
>>96494002I'll probably still get one then but just as a deckbuilding box, looks like I'm sticking to the resin bottle boxes for now.
>>96494002>>96494012Those boxes aren't cardboard and don't contain cardboard. I have deckboxes made of exactly the same stuff, they're durable
>>96493107Battlecruisin', Craterhoofin', Blood Moonin' magic just as Richard Garfield intended
>>96494117That looks like a fun deck.
>>96494117>>96494192Oh and now I remember why I want to build a deck with RG in it, Decimate. That's my favorite card to use.
>>96493888>drawYour entire thing is that you can "transmute" any aura for any equal or lower MV so card quantity that you draw matters a lot less. So yes it fundamentally changes the concept of draw power ratios. That said, LP is basically a massive draw spell once you get to any 4+ MV auras, of which you play 6 others of, because you can then grab Sage's reverie and that draws you a ton cards by that point, but you also have plenty of cards that tutor for those 4+ MV auras which act as effective copies too.Pearl ear and Sram are some draw power.Slumbering keepguard reads scry 2 when you cast auras with LP around which helps you dig to any of those 4+ MV cards.I'm not saying the goal of the deck is to get to those 4+ MV auras but if you take at least one or an avenue to one in your opening hand it's a guarantee that you refill your hand later in the game.>aurasMost to be said is above. But they're the main way you're winning so IMO they should represent about a 1/4 of the deck. I could go down to maybe 1/5 for some other pillowfort cards or creature token generators for bodies to avoid sac removal or to put auras on.>creaturesMost of the creatures and the planeswalker can go off on their own to present lethal threats or act as a wall to defend you until you find a way to another. Late game if Nomad mythmaker, Ironclad slayer, or Heliod's pilgrim gets Mantle of the ancients it puts people on gotta have it mode. I took more of a quality over quantity approach.>removalYou're fine playing boardwipes more than spot removal because you're either all or nothing. You have some removal and semi removal in the form of auras that proc LP and get you value too.The deck has 13 removal options + 2 counterspells which is a bit heavy handed but I see it as it using the slots draw power would be in when I don't really need them.I hope this gives some insight but I'm happy to explain more or go into more depth if you want me to anywhere.
>>96494066The ones I bought that look just like it are cardboard on the inside, just covered in that fake leather-like skin.
Does anyone else have a pet card? As in, a card you know is not *that* good yet you just can't help but including it in every deck you make in its colours? If so, which one and why?Mine is picrel because it helped me go 4-0 with the Temur precon the night I bought it and has since become a bit of a meme at my LGS about how I will find a way to swing for lethal even against 3 or 4 opponents whenever I drop it, even going so far as using 2 counterspells to make sure it resolves. Also Deathrite Shaman but that one is genuinely busted.
>>96493811QRD? I saw in the previews that there is a card featuring them with an effect called Date Night and their alt arts match up too.
>>96494192>>96494201Thanks, its fun. You also get great stuff like Hull Breach. I should probably drop Birthing Pod though, haven't gotten a lot of mileage out of it.

thoughts on this deck? https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7274757#paper
>>96494482Your best chance was alongside aetherdrift and you got your meme slide as an art already. If it didn't happen then, then it likely never will.>But it's more than just the meme slideI'm sire we can all agree there but do you think WOTC has that kind of depth to care about anything else? They put it in the main set for a reason.
>>96494354I don't really understand why this is a 50 cent card. It's unblockable in colors that don't really get unblockable, and more importantly it's targeted kill on a stick. Sure, it can't block, but you don't really need to block when you can kill most problems. It's like a repeatable lightning bolt except that you can make it a real menace with some modifiers, with adding double strike being particularly nice.
>>96494553>but do you think WOTC has that kind of depth to care about anything else?Yes
>>96492207ExDeath combines two of my favorite things in Magic: Graveyard Shenanigans and Big Powerful Creatures. The Lifegain is a nice bonus as well.
>>96494519Doesn't seem very good just a massive durdlefest hows this winning put in some real locks or hullbreacher lines
>>96494519I mean what is there really to say? It's playing basically every pillow fort and prison piece it can. It's designed to do exactly what it wants to which is draw the game out as long as possible. But I don't really see how it wins besides people not enjoying the game and leaving because they won't waste their time. I wouldn't label that as a win though. As soon as you sit down vs another deck that also plans to do this I feel like you're going to have some problems because it can't break parity with a similar plan.
>>96494117Invasion basics are so hot
What win conditions do you like to use besides "summon big thing and swing"? My friends all get mad if you use cards that have "if X happens, you win the gsme" im their text.

Finally drew him last week and fuck he pumped out so many vampires. It was very impressive. You have to be playing something that wants a bunch of bodies even if they're only 1/1s but if you are then it's fantastic. In my deck both the lifelink the tokens have and the vigilance he himself has are used and so are the 1/1 bodies so he's very well appreciated. What deck were you considering it for?

>>96495397>>96495468no deck in particular. just ran across it randomly again and saw the price but yeah, the fact that it gives the option feels like it would underperform since they'll give you the 1/1 only when they need a specific creature untapped. but what do I know. maybe that's every creature these days
>>96493633Spider-Gwen and mainline Peter feels like a bad pairing too, honestly. It's a cute concept but you have to consider Spider-Gwen is VERY different from the Gwen Peter loved, and Spider-Gwen barely knew HER Peter all that much either. The Gwen/Miles stuff is fine in the movies but it's definitely kinda fucking weird in the comics given the age gap (Miles is not even 18 yet), though. Admittedly they've pulled back from it in the comics in favour of... Giving Miles a lot of shonen rival archetypes but they're girls his own age who simultaneously wanna kill and fuck him.
>>96495534>Magic player can't take 5 minutes to read rules or consider etiquette for playing with childrenTruly some things never change.

>>96495686It's not just every creature. Remember, it's also artifacts too. And people want to keep their creatures untapped as blockers at least. If they actually tap them to keep you from getting the vampire you can overrun them since their stuff would be tapped.

>>96495731I guess but what artifacts do people want to use immediately outside of rocks that give more than one mana? vehicles?
Noob Question: If I use All That Glitters on a target creature my opponent controls, does the ability of my aura uses his enchantments and artifacts or mine?
>>96495744Why the hell are you asking us and not the people that are raising the issue? Yeah they're kids but they obviously have some kind of reasoning, if they can't reason it out then logic lawer them that if they can't give you a good reason then you're going to play it.
>>96495744Unless the kids were playing bracket 4 you are not allowed to play LD Prison and even if you were, you're playing against literal children I don't know how you're so autistic you think this might create a negative experience for them especially given your enormous knowledge gap over them.
>>96495758Auras always only count *your* stuff unless they explicitly say otherwise. You control and own them, they always reference you
>>96495376He's cEDH playable because chucking a ton of rocks onto the field for fast mana is the name of the game. He's pretty decent in casual but he has a minor form of Rhystic annoyance where your opponents will want to choke you to death when you ask if that treasure comes in tapped for the tenth time this turn cycle. As for the price, he's out of an actually pretty decent precon from LCI that's way cheaper than it has any right to be at the moment. The box price on TCGPlayer is $45. Charismatic Conqueror is $17, Exquisite Blood is $25, and there are a couple of $4-5 cards in the Elendas and Blade of the Bloodchief. Honestly if I had a couple hundred to burn I'd buy a bunch of the precons and sit on them since they just got their last call reprint and vampires are always pretty popular.
>>96495758ATG's buff depends on the controller of ATG, nothing more. The card is on your field so YOU implies the you, the controller of ATG.
>>96495815Thank you anon, I was having a boomer moment.
>>96495821>>96495821Thanks, there was a heated discussion about it because I had one equipped to a Karona and when I passed it to the next player he insisted it only counted his stuff and not mine because he got control of her.
>>96495751Do people in your group not use treasures? Every time one of those comes in it's either a vampire or it comes in tapped. Same with food. We just had a set with a lot of space ships too so there's a fair bit of people out there now trying to make those work.
>>96495815You ok anon? That was like the third time. You make a good point either way. My locals had the vampire precon restocked a couple weeks ago. The dinosaurs disappeared the same night but the other three have been sitting on the shelves for nearing two weeks now. May not be a bad idea to pick up one or two.
>>96495848>he insisted it only counted his stuff and not mine because he got control of her.Nope, still counts your stuff only. Karona only says they gain control of Karona, not everything attached to it. They'll be able to choose the creature type to get buffed, but ATG will still only count your stuff
>>96495534No one wants to play against land denial. It's one of those obvious dick moves that goes against the purpose of the format. Since it's the show and tell format where people want to be able to show off their brews stopping them from being able to access their resources is a third rail play pattern. Generally it's better to let them access their resources but deny them value from them by playing lots of removal or, if you're particularly good at fucking with people, fogging what would be a swing for game. It's really easy to piss people off by making sure they can't ever actually play their cards. It's less annoying to let them have their cards and win anyway.
>>96495890That's what I told him, but he insisted it also gave control of all aura's attached to it. Had to stall the game for almost 30 minutes until we come to an agreement.

>>96495933Ponza isnt a prison list, dumbass. It's just r or rg control. Dont tell me you guys cant play counterspells either
>>96495906Yeah that's great that you complied to what they had asked. But maybe ask them to reason it out and maybe it will help either you or them come to a more reasonable understanding of their position.Like they could have explained that it's a part of the bracket system and they wish to play by it but nobody asked any questions it sounds like. I can understand them not having those kinds of reasoning skills (maybe the 19 y/o but for sure not the 16). You have to keep in mind that the kids/teens/young adults these days have their brains cooked and reasoning is an afterthought.

Think of it as being like planeswalkers. If we had a novel focused purely on Ral, we'd probably never leave Ravnica, because Ral just doesn't do much planeswalking. Meanwhile, a Chandra novel might cover a dozen planes, because Chandra planeswalks a lot more frequently. The fact that this hypothetical Ral novel doesn't show off a dozen different planes doesn't mean those planes don't exist, it just means Ral never interacts with them, so we never get to see them in his story.

>>96495058Basically me but I kill one nigga twice, or two niggas at once. or kill all niggas if I have an extra combats
Ok so if I can't touch people's lands, I can still blow up mana rocks right? Are there spell slinger style decks that operate entirely off of lands or are the green decks mostly creature decks also? I'm trying to refine my ponza list to be more of a RG control list. The way I see it, running effective artifact removal can act like the speed bump i'm looking for while funneling decks that are less effected (green decks) likely into creature decks which can be controlled via red burn, I'm thinking pyrohemia will be pretty premium. Leaving me enough time to get xenagod out and start swinging. I threw a Ruric Thar in my list but im not super sure how well that will control non-creature decks, I'm mostly thinking they will be setback by artifact hate.
>>96497702I love this dude so much it's unreal. He's right there next to Cactusfolk Sureshot, and Xenagos in all of my Gruul decks.
I have the gameplay maelstorm wanderer brings to the table, you have to kill the player first (and ignore other players) and have him watch the rest of the game or let that mistake of a card hit the field and vomit half the deck
>>96497709Yes. Go nuts.
>>96497709Gruul has more artifact and enchantment removal than creature removal. Vandalblast everyone to before the stone age. Teach them to stop relying on Sol Ring to fix their curve.
So how busted can I make this after spider-set drops
>>96497740Not really any better,. regardless of whether your deck gives a shit about spider tribal.
>>96497722>>96497728Ok great, but are there decks that both don't care about artifact hate and can shrug off a decent sized rolling earthquake? I ran into a problem with pyroclasm. One game it did really well, knocking out a couple of dorks and value pieces but another game it was basically a dead draw. Maybe I need more faithless looting type cards
>>96497764Shame. I wanted an excuse to build this jund KING, and I love tribal decks
>>96497769There's always going to be a deck that doesn't care about what you're doing. The format is so wide that the best advice I can give is to find something you like and build towards it.

>>96497787Dope thanks. I'll see what I whip up.
my queen..!
I kind of want to build a deck around this guy but am offended spiritually by them making space marine tokens 2/2. They phoned it in with that one
>>96497539A local store restocked those near me recently, 120 bucks for 500 cards is pretty cheap in my opinion
>buying cards online>browsing printings of each card>base version is 0.75 cents>foil is 1.25>"sure I can treat myself">repeat 90 times>"wtf why is this deck $300"
>>96497831I paid 115 shipped to my door. Worth every penny. We played again tonight, the dimir deck definitely needs help but is also capable of getting overseer of the damned once a turn which is pretty back breaking in this basically bracket 1 meta
Spiders seem coolpity this one is for MtGA
>>96497830They're space knights, so it makes sense for them to be 2/2.
>>96493753Thanks anon, I do like your crashing drawbridge for haste. Chocobo Knights slaps, it hasn't survived more than a turn so far lol
Is this the new hotness lands commander or are they all shit compared to necrobloom?
>>96497940the ability to sac a land to draw 2 cards and play a land is insane value in any deck, nevermind from the commandzone
>>96497940Probably better than Necrobloom but worse than 4c Omnath.
>>96497861>ur-spider is neat concept>could have urs for lots of other tribes>it has to be a fucking “hero” thanks to UB sloppa
>>96497550You joke, but a McDonalds tie in is a real possibility

>>96498128neat
>>96498082if you play against greenfags often, hit them with one of these. Also, I just love Standstill
>>96497940This is infinitely better than Necronloom. I even dare to go a far as calling it slop
>>96497861>ridiculously pushed 5c legend designed by a 10 year old heavily leaning into the design space of an already established, explored and overturned creature type>WTF? Spiders seem cool now
>>96498326this isn't nearly as good against green as you'd hope
>>96497940It's a win condition almost all on its own with that burn effect. Necrobloom doesn't have that.
>>96498355It's better as an early game play, especially in conjunction with artifact ramp. It should almost never be played late game. That is where it gets its shitty reputation.I think an upgrade with way to sac itself would see more play. That or flash to fuck someone utilizing Harrow effects or fetches.
>>96496517>no Filigree Attendant>no Death's Shadowthis fucking blows
>>96498519>>96496572>>96497215>>96496617Is it like a meme to shit on this deck? is it not real or something?
Dang, I feel like this is a pretty good card for Burakos but I don't think I could justify ever running it cause of flavor. UI version in paper ever?
>>96496158>>96496307>enshittification good actually and you should stop nagging about your ex, SAD!classic demoralization strategy used by gatekeepers and trump
>>96498556UI = UWI assume they never will release these online UW versions in paper right?
>>96498558>actively not supporting or focusing on things you don't like is somehow a bad thingyou're a sperg
>>96498556Just proxy it with some Orzhov flavour and you're good
>>96498556wtf is this shit, here's what the art should depict insteadhttps://youtu.be/RRAU6lmQ0_U?t=92
>>96498568Hmmm I don't like proxies bit I guess making fake UW for very 4th wall breaking cards is an ethical proxy. I could get the local drawfag to cook me something
You are morally obligated to proxy mtgslop
>>96491832I run splash portal cause I opened one in a bloomburrow fat pack and the art is cute. Also I have a lot of otters to target, drawing me more cards. It's like a double cantrip that triggers all my prowess and "whenever you cast an instant/sorcery" non-prowess triggers. If anything I can just play it on my commander 2 times and draw 2 or more cards for 1 blue while removing any enchanments or disjointing any removal>spins its wheels until you ping people to deathyes, I know that's one of it's win conditions and likely only one aside from clearing the board for fat +1/+1'ed otters to swing in for big chunks. My first game, I had veyran on the field with Valley floodcaller and like 7 otters. I saw the mizzium mortars in my hand, I could have copied it 3 times for 12 damage to everything, triggering my prowess and valley floodcaller pumps to all my otters, and tiggering it all AGAIN cause of Veyran which brings me to my next point>Your commander copies spells for free, lean into spell copy effects like Twinning Staff.I was overwhelmed with all the triggers and multicasts thanks to Veyran being in play. I need to get used to the deck before I put her back in as to not overwhelm myself>Your commander is giving out cards, lean into it.I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean promise cards to people so they don't attack me? I was just giving them out to the guy playing the lands deck and then to the guy running the Cloud precon cause he got his shit bounced and bolted by me and had nothing on the field so I felt bad. I am considering adding a cyclonic rift, but I know the card is notorious for retards playing it without any follow or means to finish the game and just prolonging the game. It's also 30 dollars so if I ever use it I'm just gonna proxxy it when I know my deck well enough to recognize when I can win or kill somebody off a cast.
>>96494947You scooping is giving me the win, regardless of how you feel about it. A 1 mana "kill target player"? Yes, please!
>>96498541>Deck made to obviously be high bracket 4 (edhg hates strong decks)>Deck isn't cedh (edhg hates weak decks)>deck posted by tripfag>we've seen it before

So i downvoted that vid and commented why and stopped watching. Im not at Joker power level yet but I will probably show up to the lgs and start revealing my power level when draft is happening for this
>>96498663Bro out of the 70 commons in the set 10 are legendary. Draft for this set is FUCKED.
>>96498633No one is ruining anything, retard. What part of not supporting something you disagree with sits badly with you? Do you feel inclined to support stuff you don't like?
>>96498644The crabs have finally realized they're being boiled alive. Everyone who got screamed at for being alarmist when The Walking Dead UB came out can hold their head high and remain vindicated because they were right.
>>96498519Filigree is a card I considered a few times, but ended up passing on for Broodstar despite being objectively better in this context. It's a big dumb boy from one of my first preconstructed decks back in the day. The Blue/Black Artifact one. >>96498541Short answer: yes it's a meme to shit on my decks regardless of quality lmao>>96496572I've definitely had it described that way once Golbez and Unshakable Tail are out together. Add in Enhanced Surveillance and I practically hit a creature every single time. >>96496617It is and it isn't meant to be "cedh", it's meant to be semi-competitive but it's definitely not the type of deck I'd take to a tournament. not enough interaction or wincons to try and lock a game in early. Most of my wins are literally Golbez just grabbing Apocalypse Demon or Broodstar out of my graveyard for a big enough drain >>96497215Never~>>96493107I believe this is my current up-to-date list for Tidus, but I'm gonna grab the box and check

>>96498795>he doesn't appreciate overlord of the boilerbiggles
>>96498807>Wishclaw Taleeceman
>>96498755Honestly, at first I figured I wasn't going to like her. Not because she's bad, but because I dislike Shelinda in FFX so I almost wrote her off just as "get her away from me" but holy SHIT is she nice. She becomes a threat fairly fast and makes everything else an easy target for proliferates. Lifelink comes in handy a LOT, too. I highly recommend her and whenever I drop her I quickly become the problem.
>tfw you play GAMES for their gameplay and fun and not as a form of viewing shitty Westerner art on cardboardFeels good. Think I might toss Spider Hog in my deck
>>96498876so true, fellow npc. cards should just get rid of baby pictures and be text only. also character names would work way better when just numbered instead
>>96498893If it was fun then sure
>>96497702Gogo is seriously slept on.
since there is no stopping it, shouldn't we all just start blogging at nosewater about how we want some crossovers to further accelerate the ridiculousness of this all? throwing some batteries in the ocean in the process of course
>>96498935take your meds, swordfag
>>96498893If you didn't like it you could always proxy your own versions. That's my issue here. Your problem isn't that you don't want to use it but that no one should be allowed to. And you need to grow up and get life isn't like that.If I was really bothered by Spider-Ham or whatever I'd proxy the fucking UW version or make my own. Because I'm not a retard. You also bitch about shit that isn't even truly modern. Like fucking bagels, dated as far back as the 13th fucking century. Half the shit you people bitch about is "modern" stuff that isn't even modern because it was invented 2 to 300 years ago and is simply still used.
>>96498935Already got the one I wanted
>>96498590Ummmm thir you violated the bracket rules on intent so you actually are DQ'd
>>96498956what's wrong, now you don't like crossovers suddenly?
>>96498795I mean in the case of all these personalities it is literally their job. The situation they are faced with is quitting their job because management is making it intolerable. Viewing them as "just players and whales" is stupid. Prof would quit if it wasn't literally how he pays for his wife and child.
>>96498644What is the issue with Graham? That he has a sandwich? Was food invented recently? Or is it because his actor is a gameshow host in Bongland and Bongers laugh when they see him on a card?
>>96496123>IS THAT HECKIN SEPHIROTH AND NOT EVIL BACKSTABBING MONO BLUE (should be black) WIZARD MAN URZA?!Sephiroth has a vastly superior story and character than Urza. Please tell me which MTG character has a much better fleshed out back story than the antagonist of some long ass JRPG?Is it Elesh "I am literally just the borg/cybermen" norn?
>>96498976what a spicy predicament when all you content is based around some companies release schedule and you cant be fucked to change your topics or you style, so you just slurp and durp whatever
>>96498989Gerrard Capashen
I always find it weird people whine about "NOTHING MORE MODERN THAN 500 BC IN MAGIC!" but then equally bitch about how they want guns in magic. A fairly recent invention far more modern than the bagel. And let's be honest, no one is asking for fucking muskets. They want guns that wouldn't have existed even a century ago.
>>96498997And we're back to the 17 year old "smash the system. ANARCHY! CONSUMERISM BAD!" shit.Your entire hobby is based off buying things unless you proxy or involve yourself in theft. You may as well go to body building threads and bitch about lifting.
>>96499003yes, there you have it>hobbynot>jobalso nice projection with your cringe ass overreaction regarding AnCap shit, when all i supposed was people, who as a third party willingly tie their career to a company, might change up their sauce a bit if they dont agree with WotC or what they release instead of just lying to themselves and their fans going "you know what, maybe this game really needed 60 Spider-Men with all their Spider-Women and Spider-Children after all, welcome to my decktech"
>>96499024I have no idea what you're trying to even argue now which is the sign I am dealing with an impressionable kid. You do not seem to have a point so I'm just gonna filter your extremely low effort posts.
>>96498989You're missing the forest for the trees, anon. UB is demonstrably a slippery slope. You can't have Sephiroth without Spider-pig, Optimus Prime, and Spongebob. Once the door is open for crossovers everything is on the table. Don't be upset because somebody dissed on your favorite anime dude in a long coat.
>>96498989This is my issue with anti UB whining. Magic's story and characters have been fucking shit for decades, outside of extremely rare examples like Innistrad. for having millions of players, no setting or story or character has entered pop culture lexicon. There's no "for the emprah!" catch phrase that every nerd recognizes as being part of the game, no D&D tier system recognition. Half the player base don't even know who the fuck Jace or Vraska are and they don't want to know. Magic had some interesting aesthetics in the 1990s and a bit of the 2000s, but it's been bland and boring and totally forgettable for the majority of its existence. Doesn't mean we have to like the Fortnitetification of the game, but let's be 100% real: if the game becomes entirely UB nothing of value was lost.
>>96499038Oh wow I totally agree with you now.Oh wait, I don't.
>>96499044Fortnite isn't comparable. I'd go into why but what would be the point?
>>96499051Would you have agreed with me if I named Squee as a more compelling character?
>>96499058No because he is a meme every bit as silly as any other meme character from a game, show, or movie. He is Loot 1.0
>>96499061No fooling around with you anon, you're a serious guy who likes serious characters I understand.
>>96499038So what wwould Eridan's card be?
