>they can't be the actual same and not just copy pasted, unless the fantasy realms are just that inside 40k's warp
there isn't a 40k warp or a fantasy warp its all the same realm. But yeah the classical gods realms are bound to exist unless they haven't occurred yet

yeah, and when they come back years have passed in real space, funny that
Yes and they can also come back prior to when they are banished. over a three-day fight, a daemon could be banished on day 2 only to return on before day 1

In an Imperium controlled Paradise world known for its luscious Pink sand beaches and frequently visited by Nobles there lurks a pleasure cult secretly controlling the Planetary government. Hey guys, just a little PSA about the september collage.
This month's theme is Kitbashing. Anything is fair game as long as it's kitbashed in some way but it's more fun if it's more elaborate of course. Doesn't matter when you built it as long as you paint it in september. Deadline is september 30th and I'll start the anchor posts the last 7 days of the month as usual.
If we have any new people here feel free to join in, it's all just for fun and skill doesn't matter.
As always, if you have any suggestions for next month's theme feel free to share.

Vect is missing and no one knows it except Malys who is ruling by proxy through Vect's body double.
Mandrakes are actually daemons of their own warp god called Malerion.
Khaine's Gate is just gone and not a problem anymore.
Disjunctions get retconned and the Webway works for Psykers now.
Haemonculus have never made grotesques. Grotesques are not a real unit. Stop asking about grotesques.
The Xenos mercenaries are all gone and a Dark Eldar would never let a snake into their entourage.
Warp beasts are extinct.

maybe you should learn to apply it better before taking a decision, you don't seem to be able to cover the primer uniformly

I have zero good pictures of my old word bearers army from way back when, but this pic shows one of my terminators and an official promotional picture of a word bearers figure
you'll notice that the shade of red is nowhere near as washed out as the one on your minis in either
I would recommend using a bright red with a dark red ink wash, then highlights with more bright red, maybe even slightly tinted towards orange
>>
>>96521062
Right, I feel like Word Bearers are more distinct and unique with more magenta-ish cold reds while warm reds are better for WE.
>>
>>96521094
I appreciate the effort.
Yeah I was trying to get the FW look by a dark red spray with a bunch of dry brushes of lighter reds with a black ink wash, but obviously it's not poppy enough.
This was mainly just a quick and easy paint scheme so I might keep trying with my right scheme but focus more on highlighting brighter colours when it comes to characters and the rest of the army when I can get around to it.

>>
>>96521102
You're really making 2 mistakes here when it comes to vivid colors, and that is the black primer and the black ink wash. Both will make your result look duller than it needs to be, doubly so if you're trying to paint an entire army and don't have the time to do a lot of layered highlights. I can understand the convenience of using black primer, but do consider switching to a dark red ink wash instead.
>>
>>96521120
You too anon. We should all try to encourage and motivate eachother. I'll paint a bit later today.
>>
>>96521127
Alright, I've mainly only used carroburg crimson for a red wash and never liked it so I kept away, i actually preferred using a purple wash over my reds when I wanted a maroon colour.
But I'd appreciate any red ink recommendations.
>>
>>96521054
Mandrakes already exist
>>
>>96521140
I'm pretty sure there used to be a wash literally called "blood red wash" which worked well, but I'm kind of out of touch and it seems GW doesn't even call their washes "washes" anymore.

My Sisters operate from a mixed fleet of warp-capable merchant and navy ships in their great crusade across Imperium Nihilus.
Their original world, a hive world, was torn apart in a daemon incursion when the galaxy broke in two. It is now thought to be dead.

Said-same fleet is going to be the base of operations for my planned guard army.

Ad-Mech are from a Cybernetica run forge world that mostly maufactures non-military equipment. They make shit and throw their weight around with robotic legions.

Tau, I dunno. Haven't really thought it through.

Tyranids are a splinter hive fleet eating their way close to Ultramar.
>>

my league is a prospector voyage so they are fleet-based
my chaos dudes are stationed on a fallen forgeworld, pumping out daemon engines, not aligned with great 4 but still very so chaos-heavy. Haven't decided yet if they'd skirmish with Covenant of Fire or BTs but given local meta tendencies it'd be salamanders with some grey knight activity here and there
>>
>>96521140

That was a second index detachment they released six months in because Realspace Raiders was offensively bad and the worst detachment in the game. Imperial agents expansion is coming im feeling it
>>96521245
The main appeal for tau are more their centerpiece robots and aliens rather than their standart infantry, the fluff is secondary but I find most people who resonated with the tau's model line also enjoy their lore and their personal interpretations of it and those who didn't also don't enjoy the fluff. Imperial guard has centerpieces too but the tau empire's vehicles have never really been as appealing as their suits or aliens besides maybe the hammerhead coming close to the praise stuff like the baneblade and sentinels get. Aside from cadians the average IG infantry squads are also generally more interesting than fire warriors or pathfinders. Imperial guard are also way more kitbashing and /yourdudes/ friendly than the tau are, it's way easier to be overly original with your guard regiment than it is to be with a tau army and im saying this as someone planning to start a guard regiment of my own and also someone who's first army was a personal tau sept. It's like saying the main appeal of orkz and khorne cultists is virtually the same and while sure you can draw parallels they are pretty different from each other at a closer look.
>>96521253
I always liked my tau to be a little bit more chinese leaning. I think you can pretty much make a tau sept based off any eastern country and make it sound reasonable because they really are a mess made out of Japan, India, Singapore and China put on a blender lorewise
>>96521301
Fascism is pushing it a bit because they're way more the global revolution type over the nationalist type but they're not commies either (wealth redistribution in tau worlds is a meme and they have a caste system ffs) so it's hard to tell. Maybe the ethereals are just weird hyper accelarationist elites they don't give off the same decadent noble vibe as the imperials do even if they give themselves some luxuries, they seem scarier on average compared to a planetary governor

If the one telling Valrak that the 11th edition will be Orks, and it's his trusted source (most likely a GW worker), then it is going to be true.

If Fatrak himself is speculating something, which he specifically always calls out being his own speculation, usually turn out to be wrong.

Yes, like the GK vs WE kill team or Space Wolves vs Chaos (though he still believes GK vs WE is coming).
>>
>>96521355
I’d say they’re fascist, but not Nazi fascist, more of the classical orthodox fascism like what was described by Giovanni Gentile, that sort of civic nationalist kind of fascism. After all, the Greater Good ultimately ends up just being a tool to ensure people serve the Tau Empire, it’s essentially just utilitarianism but repackaged so that the maximum good is always achieved by serving the state.

Nobody cares about xenos lore. You'll get a handful of retards who bring it up like the wrathbine shit from before but it'll just be a way for people to segway into complaining about femstodes again.
Nobody with half a brain actually plays xenos for their lore.
>>
>>96521435
It is nice to have someone for the Imperium to fight that’s actually a fairly conventional army and not like, fucking ninja psykers or other weird bullshit.
>>
>>96521443
It's a tie between him and the exultant for me, both really cool HQs.
>>
>>96521458
NTA but if you airbrush an ink/contrast/shade it will cover uniformly. So if you want it to give you some shading you'd need to either spray first and then put some in the recesses by brush or just brush everything on but you risk an uneven finish that way.
>>
>>96521463
>Nobody with half a brain actually plays xenos for their lore
Nobody with half a brain plays ANY faction for their lore.
>>
>>96521458
Spray definitely, will let you go a lot thinner and it will be more uniform, much easier to airbrush again if it isn't purple enough for you than the inverse. This and contrast paints are one of the best use cases for airbrushes actually.
>>
>>96521463
And yet, the nature Wraithbone was a hot topic for like a month
>>
>>96521412
He's wearing heels, but he's not really wearing shoes in a conventional sense. Since his feet have mutated into hoofs the heels are built into the armor to help him retain balance.
>>

and I'm sorry you have two brain halves and still can't enjoy things.
>>
>>96521468

Got it. I figure I'll try both and see which is better for me, I'll probably end up airbrushing and washing afterwards since I want the color to be smoother, but who knows maybe I'll like the look of a brush-on better.
Thanks again for the help gentlemen

The bases, the Rubblecrown and Madrigal’s Promise.

At founding they were fleet based. Madrigal’s promise was an ancient mining ship raised from the surface of Tejana where it had lain dormant since the DaoT. It served as the chapter barque and forge ship for several centuries before construction on the Rubblecrown began. The madrigal is rather lightly armed, only possessing short ranged by monstrously powerful grav tether arrays capable of tearing apart small moons and large ships at close range.

After saving the world of Oracleus Minor the chapter was given rights equivalent to the world’s Knight houses. They chose the largest abandoned hive spire as their base and began constructing the Rubblecrown at its top. Over the millenia it has grown from a minor staging area to an enormous vault complex, filled with all the ancient warmachines pulled from Oracleus Minor’s wastelands and lovingly refurbished. The vault structures are protected from the Hive’s frequent quakes by giant grav-stabilizer engines.

Oracleus itself was once a verdant beautiful world until being invaded and bombarded during the Heresy. Now it’s a rad wracked death world, most of its surface covered in heavy metal poisoned wastelands and deserts. Life persists, and even makes use of the toxins in their unique biological processes. The planetary surface is covered in miles deep canyons called Glass Trenches. Periodic tectonic shifts close and open more as time goes on. Occasionally revealing fallen hives or rare minerals which are quickly set upon by the planet’s Digger guilds.

It was supposed to release yesterday but they pushed it to next week so that they can include the new Imperial Knights points in the same update rather than having to do a separate one.

Why do you even want it? The game is in a good state right now except for knights but fuck em he knows the code, its not about the salary its all about reality and makin some noise, making a story making sure his clique stays up that means when he puts it down Tak's picking it up

Custodes look cool, right now I only have a Votann army which I understand to be in the middle between a horde and elite army with the new codex and still ranged focused outside of the Delve detachment. I think for a second army, I want something that can be more aggressive than the LoV's slow rolling.
>>
>>96522010
Sisters of Battle can be built extremely aggressive and they have fun mechanics

I know this is a bit of a pot-calls-kettle-black moment, but is there such thing as a club/hobby group for this interest that isn't filled with disappointing losers?
I am not expecting beauties or even thin people, but every single hobby group I have encountered so far is either young people who look like they are going through the 'rebellious' stage of social anxiety (going from one inside to another inside) or 25 stone balding men. There's no 'normal' groups.
Even other game groups are similar. It's all folks with bags that cannot be seen for all the weird/game/queer badges. There's more people with bright hair than there are people in employment. There are actually more women than normal in some of the groups I have seen, but dear me, some of them make me want to jump into a man's bed.

Obviously, I cannot in good faith call other people names like this. I'm hardly a shining example of beauty or socialising. Maybe this rant is my coping mechanism for my own doubts? Why can't hobby groups like this have 'normal' people in it? There are normal people in pretty much every other hobby.

Hey anons I have a question for the thread in regards to the best way to call someone out in your play group for using baked dice.
We have a group of 8 of us that play 1000 point games 4 times a month. 4 of us started in 9th and 4 more joined after 10th. We have played dozens of games and I can't help but notice that one of us consistently rolls 6s. Last weekend he must have rolled close to 100 6s. If he rolls 20 dice he's rolling 14 6s. He has two sets of 36 chessex d6 dice but I have since noticed he only ever rolls from one particular set. He has also become the "That Guy" of the group with his constant sweaty meta choices when list building, wombo combo "gotcha" moments and rules bending in 1000 point games. He plays 8 different armies and chases and chooses the meta even against our newer players. He is incredibly invested in the hobby to the point its all he ever talks about.

Personally I'm sick of his 6s. Dozens of games and dozens of 6s. I'm convinced he baked the dice set. Way too many patterns.

Next weekend I plan on asking him to let his opponent play with or share his dice to see his reaction. If anything is off I want to throw his dice in water to test them. Thoughts?

What are anons experiences with baked dice cheaters?

The 10VPs are easier to enforce.

Extra points would mean I have to check their list beforehand and count them, and then say something about it if they didn't add those 5 points. Too much effort honestly.

Also I like the feeling of those extra VPs. It's like their game is worth less, which is exactly what it is. Unpainted games don't really count.

Russ is coming back end of 10th. The team is currently deciding if it should be Sanguinius or Dorn who comes back in 11th. Both have models.
Orks are the starter box faction for 11th. Lots of refreshed models, not too many new ones. Stormboyz are getting the Tankbusta treatment and are going to be released via Kill Team before the end of 10th.
Aeldari are getting Karandras in 11th and that's it for them. Currently no narrative plans for them at all, the team doesn't really know where to take them and nobody wants to approach the subject.
Necrons are going to officially win the Pariah Nexus, which will rip a hole in the Great Rift.
Perturabo is coming back in 11th leading the Iron Warriors against the Necrons.
Grey Knights are being rolled into Imperial Agents in 11. No further model releases are planned for them.
Kroot massively undersold for T'au. Nothing significant is planned for 11th for them. Similar situation to the Aeldari; team isn't sure where to take them noe and nobody wants to touch them.
Tyranids are getting more Psychic units in 11th. Fourth Tyrannic War is going to continue in the background. Genestealer Cults are going to become more prominent, and are going to get access to more Tyranid units as 'normal' inclusions.
Astra Militarum are getting a small Catachan wave; One character, one infantry unit, and a specialized Sentinel, along with a general purpose upgrade kit.
Leagues of Votann are also being brought to the Pariah Nexus, with Blackstone tech units. They don't care about the Great Rift, they just want to get more Blackstone. Their wave in 11th is slightly smaller than the one from 10th.
World Eaters are getting a major wave in 11th, the other Cult Legions are getting minor releases.
Drukhari are being restructured. Covens are being downplayed into being Pain Engine engineers. Grotesques are not returning. A new Succubus kit is ready, along with a Bloodbride squad.
Custodes are getting a new Sisters of Silence character.

Count the amount of 6s he rolls in game along with counting all the 6s everyone else rolls. Average out the 7 other players rolls to find out the average number of 6s rolled across the rest of the group and compare it to the accused. Or steal his dice cube for the game and see what happens when he rolls his other one. Then say you found it after the game was done. If you really want to gauge the reaction then steal both dice sets and make him roll with someone elses. If he freaks the fuck out about using someone else's dice, refusing to play without his dice or freaks the fuck out over losing his cube then he's probably baking his dice.

As far as media goes Space Marine 2 was ans still is a resounding success that drove up model sales.
The plan for Space Marine 3 is Marines vs Orks vs World Earers.
Age of Sigmar is on the verge of collapse. Sales moderatrly went up with Skaventide but suffered a steep drop and haven't recovered at all. Efforts to promote the setting with animations and other media have all failed. The failure of Realms of Ruin is still a major sticking point. The game isn't in danger, but it's very much getting toned down.
Old World is slowing down significantly. Sales have not been as hoped for, but have not been particularly bad. Cathay was well received, and Kislev is slated to be a launch faction for a new edition of the game.
Still too early to determine how Saturnine did for Horus Heresy, but signs are good.
Warcry is dead, Underworlds is on life support and raoidly deteriorating.
Legion Imperialis is an in-studio pet project.

the plot thickens: you write the love triangle part from the perspective of the marine interred into the dreadnought who still cares dearly about the thunderhawk he used to pilot before being interred.
catching glimpses of her going to battle and coming back damaged.
the marine in the dreadnought was the one of the few who knew or cared about a particularly capricious trait of the thunderhawk and unfortunately over the centuries the techpriests and techmarines are less and less forgiving of the machine spirit who they see as degrading when in truth it's just that trait not being addressed properly.
the thunderhawk chugs along despite it all and the dreadnought wakes up on his own just to see her return from battles.

until one day, she doesn't.

These are great ideas thank you.
This situation requires some finesse as I don't want to scare the newer players or accuse this piece of shit and be wrong or unable to prove anything 100%.

A close friend and I in the group have been roughly counting his 6s without writing anything down for the last 2 games. My friend has been much more vocal about the sixes as well to the point where we as a group openly joke about how many 6s "That Guy" will roll now. That guy just makes jokes about microwaving his dice to deflect. I can't ignore all these patterns.

I admit I'm biased because after really thinking about the situation I'm honestly just sick of playing with that guy at all but I KNOW he's fucking with us.

If he rolls more than 1 die he WILL roll a 6

>don't want to scare the newer players or accuse this piece of shit and be wrong or unable to prove anything 100%.
If you are wrong this will btfo your playgroup or potentially the store entirely. You really need to handle this gently. But also you need to make sure it is not just you bringing this up. It needs to be multiple people or someone's gonna feel attacked and try and defend themselves, likely by cheating just like they do in warhams, and making up some sob story to get you banned for bullying or potentially worse if the person is psychotic and spiteful.

>A close friend and I in the group have been roughly counting his 6s
Just keep a tally, or see if you know someone who has one of those little counters they use at fairs to count the people going in and out. Don't do any of the math until the end. Just keep count. If he notices you counting he may change his behaviour and switch to this other cube( he feels safe which is why he hasn't don't this yet, but still shows up with both cubes)
I think you need to be careful, talk to the other players in the group about this, but make sure the cheater can't find out you're onto him. It sounds like he's already deflecting the light hearted jabs you guys are making about his baked dice, which means he's likely prepared to deflect more serious accusations. Good luck at cutting the cancer from your playgroup. Alternative to all of the solutions provided, you can also steal his dice then cook them yourself on all 1s. Then bring them back to the lgs on another day and say you found them under a table and give them to the clerk and tell them who they belong to. Means the dice aren't coming from your hands and you'd probably get to watch him freak out as his cooked dice suddenly fail every single roll. We did that as a joke with our one friend, we bought 4 sets of the same chessex cube he had and cooked them to roll like ass and swapped them out mid game.

If you mean genuine romance and not just fetish/smut, I think it would be a challenge to make it make sense without just making the Eldar a human with a longer lifespan. At best, Eldar see humans as barely evolved animals that can stand on two legs and talk in grunts that barely pass as a language. An Eldar's love for a human might have more in common with how we love our pets. I think a good place to start would be for the human character to be psy-sensitive, that way the Eldar can at least communicate in terms more appropriate for them.
That's right baby, we're mind-bangin'.

That's the truth of the thread
>>96523059
No, it's all 1:1 shit that happens here frequently
>>
>>96522977
Dysfunctional and loveless.
Eldar consider humans to be vermin at best, and many normal bodily functions for humans are disgusting and vile to Eldar. Just being around humans is revolting to most Eldar as it offends their senses, especially smell.
Under no normal circumstances would an Eldar ever agree to marry a Human, and if they were forced into it they would be cold, distant, and emotionally abusive. Physical contact would be forbidden, sleeping together would be completely off the table, and the very idea of having sex would be considered insulting.
There would be no 'warming up' to each other. The Eldar would view the situation as temporary and would simply be waiting for the Human to die off so they can leave it all behind, as the Human's lifespan would be short and forgettable for the Eldar.

Hot take but the Tau doing better than the Imperium has little to do with plot armor and much more to do with the fact that the Tau’s plan is way more reasonable than the Emperor’s ever was.

Simply put, the Tau’s plans are simple:
>Expand their territory
>Develop their planets
>Advance their technologies
>Integrate aliens species
Simple plan, easy to implement, the things that can go wrong are easy to expect and plan for.

The Emperor’s plan on the other hand…
>Wait until humanity had already collapsed (or possibly orchestrate their collapse)
>Create an army of supersoldier gene-warriors, then kill them and create a new army
>Ban religion to starve the chaos gods, then steal their power
>Create a super powerful elite force of bodyguards to enforce your will, then create an even more powerful super-duper handful of Demi-gods
>Treat these Demi-gods as tools but also as your sons depending on the situation, and rapidly expand to conquer as much territory as possible without regards for developing it
>Wipe out all xenos regardless of their affiliation with humanity
>Figure out how the webway works and then create your own webway portal to access it
>Shove all of humanity into the webway and then wait however many decades, centuries, or millennia it takes for Chaos to die down, assuming it does and assuming xenos don’t take over the galaxy while you’re gone
>have humanity develop into a super powerful race of psykers like the Eldar and make sure they maintain control of it and don't end up like the Eldar
>Leave the webway and have humanity assume their rightful place in the galaxy in harmony and peace forever
And if ANY of these steps fail the entire plan is screwed.

The Imperium didn’t fail because failure is inevitable, it failed because the Emperor was addicted to complexity and couldn’t fathom the idea that he could make so much as a single mistake.

Arcanyst Evaluator (75pts): Close combat weapon, Transmatter inverter
Einhyr Champion (70pts): Autoch-pattern combi-bolter, Weavefield crest, Mass hammer
Kâhl (70pts): Rampart crest, Mass gauntlet, Volkanite disintegrator
Memnyr Strategist (55pts): Dead Reckoning, Autoch-pattern bolt pistol, Close combat weapon

10x Hearthkyn Warriors (100pts)

3x Brôkhyr Thunderkyn (80pts)
10x Einhyr Hearthguard (270pts)
5x Einhyr Hearthguard (135pts)
3x Ironkin Steeljacks with Heavy Volkanite Disintegrators (90pts)
3x Hernkyn Pioneers (80pts)
3x Hernkyn Pioneers (80pts)
Hekaton Land Fortress (240pts): Armoured wheels, MATR autocannon, Cyclic ion cannon, 2x Twin bolt cannon, Pan spectral scanner
Kapricus Defenders (70pts)

Drybrushing a finicky colour like that seems like a horrible idea.
Most plasma effects are achieved using white and then thin paint to tint over it.

Seems like the usual nightmarish shooting Votann build, right? Iron Warriors aren't a very competitive Dex so you should be fine, though they are better suited than most to be shot at since their detachment rule is -1 to be wounded in shooting. But I think most Votann shooting cheats the wound roll with lethal hits, right?

Tau are ignored by the major threats in the galaxy because the Tau are a threat to no one, in the eventuality that one of the major factions met their "win" condition the Tau would be wiped out within short order
>>
>>96523196
Fluo colours are very very translucent and need to be built of thinly over white. You can't really use them for drybrushing unless you mix a white into them
>>
>>96523262
I refuse to run that. I own KO instead of fyreslayers for a reason, and that reason is hating naked axe dwarves. I like heavy armor dwarves, tyvm.
>>
>>96523222
Drybrushing in three stages over white and then dropping some white ink in the lower recesses gives the best results I've had. But I'd only done it in blue before now, the most forgiving paint colour.
>>
>>96523191
Sauce?
>>
>>96523267
This. Tau and Eldar both get ignored on the galactic scale because neither are strong enough to have an actual major threat condition. Any other faction couldnwipe them out just by exerting some effort, while neither of them could ever hope to destroy one of the other factions.

In canon, is there variation among different Astartes' height? The normal space marine height of 8ft really isnt that impressive. Are they genetically locked into that height? In other words do ass-turdies actually get height-mogged by 1920s human circus freaks?
>>

Your next line will be "that wasn't me also it was months ago and I apologized just shut up"
>>
>>96523681
Primaris are taller but the unqique trait for AL is they are taller, and there are a few marines who are naturally just 2x the size of another marine like the CM of the Carcharadons.
>>
>>96523681
>is there variation among different Astartes' height?
Yes. Some marines are shorter, some are taller.
It's a thing that happens.
>>
>>96523688
I have never asked for a timestamp once you lying pig
>>
>>96523681
there are marines that are taller after ascending, literally one of the most common tropes for writing a marine character is "he was big, even for a space marine"
>>
>>96523681
In canon, there is variation among different astartes' height. This is confirmed in Horus Heresy book 1 and 7
>>
>>96523689
Other way around, AL are smaller.
>>
>>96523701
nope, AL are taller than the rest of the legions, but their primarchs are the shortest, it helped even out their heights to make the primarchs near indistinguishable
>>
>>96523688
He's baiting you so you post the timestamps and then he'll report you. He does it from time to time, and occasionally to the memes that get made about him
>>
>>96523689
Tyberos is only 10ft tall
he's big, but not primarch big
>>
>>96523693
It's more notable and cool if an already big group of people has a giant amonst even them.
Though making an actual manlet marine who dwarfmaxxes is funny.
That did happen with one Imperial Fists marine who was part of the deathwatch, he was short, but he then just started pumping iron and got super muscular because of it.
His commander told him to stop working out so much because the techmarines were tired of needing to re-fit his armor because he'd become too big to wear it.

Because all SoB are trained for battle and if they are attached to a combat unit they will wear power armor. Hospitallars dont need to wear armor when they are just running a hospital on a cathedral world, but they will don it when attached to a combat unit.

No, it wasn't, it was only speculation by fans, the only pieces of fluff that came close to explaining the revolt went with the idea that the machines grew past their creators and decided they shouldn't be servants of inferior beings.
With one novel in particular suggesting the exact opposite of what you're saying: that the machines somehow understood that the living would spell the doom of reality (implicitly due to chaos, since they would foster it) and decided humans had to go.

No, it doesn't, demons are innately inimical entities, any narrative between humans and demons are about external challenges, temptations, Faustian gambits and the karmic price of sins, or the eternal struggle of mankind trying to impose order, while entropy proves that futile.
Machines don't have these dynamics unless you force them to fit those moulds, machines do start as genuinely helpful and friendly beings, when hostilities start it's not presented as an inevitability because it's in their innate nature to do so, machines don't have nature, they're logic the point of those narratives is that anyone and anything would eventually have that conflict, if they reasoned logically, the stories don't revolve around sins, when they try to insert that it's as set dressing, poetic condiment, the core of the stories is "game theory", losing the fight with a new form of evolving beings, it's not the problem of entropy ruining order, but of order doing exactly what's meant to do to its most grim extreme.

machines aren't remotely the same as the demons of old, they're the new demons, of a new age with new questions, they're for different stories.
