Whole Space Marine community with the exception of Ultramarines is having a huge meltdown. Literally every chapter is up in arms and seething.
>>

Does calgar have a helemt? His face is ugly. Anyways ultramarines are the only mariens that matter and im tired of pretending this isnt true.
If anything the chapter needs more unique datasheets that arent just named characters.

i dunno, i think true grit is pretty neato as a concept and its not like marines really need to two-hand or even shoulder bolters. less so id imagine if they are veteran enough to be honor guard. My main complaint with those is all the (understandably) blatant ultramarine iconography on them. Would make it more annoying to use for /mydudes/

I made him mad once on their forum style website addition when I argued with him on 4th edition rules and how you can abuse psychic powers and turn order with deep strike to remove characters before people can react.

The feature didn't last more than a few months after that. I remember emailing some things on an inquiry that also got him pissy.

>he chatted with people in his spare time and he PUSHED for individual parts to be sold on request on the main website

Airbrush flow improver requires a day to dry and I rushed two coats. Third coat will be the final test to see if I like the results of the good parts. Each of these were done slightly differently, not that I expect anyone to notice.

Once testing is done, I'll be switching to the airbrush to apply it. Every stage, start to finish. I just need to do the primer by hand (thick/pools when spraying between legs).

>>96546074
>I'd be happy if they remade the Armor of Fate look more closer to his armor from the Horus Heresy/Great Crusade. Ie. more roman like.
yeah but that wouldn't really make sense, the armor of reason was designed first by guilliman who then let ferrus and others upgrade it.

The armour of fate is all cawl and I guess the emperor because godblight, it shouldn't look roman.
>>

>>
Huh. So Ultramarines are cool now.
>>
>>96546110
Always were.
>>
>>96546098
It's Guilliman's armor none the less. He can ask Cawl to change the design of it, hell, he can just ask the techmarines and techpriests of his chapter to do that. As long as they don't touch internals of it, the "outer shell" of armor plates can be fucked around without issue.
Like even IRL we have some exoskeletons now, and how power armor works in 40k, the actual important part that makes it "power armor", is the exo skeleton/artificial muscle fibers within that make it move. The actual armor plates you see, are there only for protection to prevent damage to the wearer and internal components.

Also in general the whole plot point about Guilliman not being able to remove armor has been pretty much been thrown into the bin at this point, the writers majorly don't give a shit. He can remove it at will, it's just very painful, but even that plot point is non-consequential pretty much at this point.
>>
>>96546110
They always were.
Only people who bitch about Ultramarines not being cool are people who are butthurt that their own favorite marine chapter isn't the posterboys.

If you can screen them, do so though deep striking with two only two models is rather hard to screen out. Make extensive use of your grenades, tanks shock and whatnot for them mortal wounds. Try to focus on chaff like Sisters of Silence early on so he's forced to make actions with his super expensive units instead. I've only played once against them but it's an army that struggles with board presence, and Allarus can only do their schtick once.

Can someone help me figure out base sizes? I want to kitbash acrusader squad but I need to know the base sizes.
Waha said the neophytes are on 25mm bases and the rest are on 32mm.
But scout squads are on 28mm bases, and Sword Brethren are on 40mm bases.
Does it mean that the Sword Brethren on the Crusader squad is on a 32mm? And the neophytes on a smaller base than the scouts? That's a bit odd.
Also yes, these are the new Crusader Squad datasheets in Waha, since "primaris" crusader squad is now just "crusader squad".

In retrospective, ultramarines received surprisingly little stuff compared to chapters like space wolves or blood angels.
They get the impression of getting a lot because all generic marine shit is painted blue, but otherwise, the stuff that's exclusively ultramarine is limited to one forge world dreadnought, the honor guard, and the tyrannic war veterans, everything else is random special characters or limited edition models.

I'm not even joking dude, embrace the skullet. Bicing your head, the bald+beard look, everyone knows those are compromises, you have admitted that you look bad because you're bald and are trying to make the best of a situation. It's showing weakness, which is far less attractive than just being bald.

If you can't win by their rules, play by your own. A man with a skullet is announcing to the world that he thinks he looks cool, and he doesn't particularly care if you agree. It's a notable look, it's an opening, and once you have that opening you can win them over with your personality.

I'm probably never going to go bald, but if I did I would go all in on the skullet.

What megastructures exist in 40k? Is the knowledge of how to make them still around?

>>
>>96546902
>Is the knowledge of how to make them still around?
Imperium can't even make new warp drives. What do you think?
>>
>>96546889
Step 1. Find a faction that you think looks the coolest.
Step 2. Buy one(!) normal infantry box of that faction, build it and paint it.

If you enjoyed that experience then go ahead and get the start collecting box for that faction. You will be doing a lot more building (and hopefully painting) than playing so make sure you enjoy that aspect of the hobby before you dump a bunch of money on it.
>>
>>96546889
Does it HAVE to be a kill box? You can't go wrong with a box of tacticals or intercessors and some paints and brushes. If you aren't the type to learn and research before you buy GW even sells a few learn to paint kits with a couple of marines and everything you need to paint them.

If you want to commit to a kill team there is quite a few to choose from. Kommandos, Kriegers, Inquisitorial Agents are all fun ones. If you want marines they just released a new Deathwatch kill team thats neat but it wont be available for purchase for a month or so.

That sounds like bullshit.
They are constantly losing space ships in battles or they just lose them into the Warp since it is finnicky. Or in general entire fleets of ships get lost within realspace never to be seen again.

To be able to replace their losses they would need to know how to make more warp drives.

You see, WAAC is an initialism for Win At Any Cost and is often abbreviated as such. Whacko is also a colloquial term for crazy people. The portmanteau of the two phrases manages to juxtapose both meaning together in a manner which is both expressive of meaning and the posters opinion of those the label refers to, evoking a stigmatized predisposition common to the community in which he is engaging.

The rails would be fine but for regular boltguns the attachment point for scopes isn't even the railing so they're entirely unused. If the railing went the full length and was where they attached the scope, which presents a technical modeling issue, it would be fine but they don't get used at all. Also the scopes they give you for tactical intercessors are too low so they cowitness with the front sight, which is a solid block of metal blocking the view almost entirely. They need some cleanup frankly.

Play tested the new new Kabal Cartel Detachment with the codex points. I got fucking obliterated by deathguard due to me mis-sequencing a few things and infiltrating too aggressively but I can definitely see the potential.
