I've been a lore and vidya secondary for years and I finally want to start an army but I'm having a little bit of a hard time deciding what. I'm godawful at hand painting but, thanks to growing up doing military models and gunpla, I've got an airbrush and am halfway decent with it. That kinda seems to throw off most of the recommendations I've seen since they tend to assume you'll be hand painting everything and not getting into airbrushing until you're much more advanced. I know Tau are considered a very airbrush-friendly army but I'm not really into them. Right now my top contenders would either be a mostly single-color SM army like Raptors (who tickle my /k/ autism anyway) or maybe crons, but I'd be interested to hear other ideas. Long-term goal armies would be AdMech and maybe Fallen (or DAs with Lion and a Risen squad?) but those are probably beyond my ability and means right now. Squats/Votann are an interesting prospect too. Any thoughts?

>>96637764>would they be believed out of fear of the inquisition or generally told to fuck off?if the inquisitor liked going loud and was alright with them openly invoking his authority, he would probably give some written orders to show to whoever needed them, so they can trust that they are who they say they are. otherwise, letting a random group of goons claiming to work for the inquisition without any papers into restricted files and areas could be an absolute disaster for many reasons. you could also have the inquisitor or one of the acolytes forge documentation, so they can run around and do their business without arousing suspicion, and if someone gets too suspicious and accuses them of being spies or something, then the retinue can pull the inquisitor card and threaten them to which the accuser is put into an awkward situation between admitting that they let a group of spies get away with a bunch of shit already, or attempting to thwart the plans of an inquisitor, and realizing that it would be best to drop it, and let them do what they need to do.

Just won a 16 man 1000 point tournament with sisters.Was a small local first timers tourney, went3-0.Round 1 Vs necrons, opponent was very new, mostly tabled by turn 4 won 70-30ish Round 2 Vs Ksons, again quite a new player, didn't really play the objectives well, went a full 100-13Round 3 was the only 'proper' match, necrons again, opponent running a more punchy necrons list, 2 squads of skorpekh destroyers, 2 each of both anti-tank and anti-infantry heavy destroyers, a reanimator, hexmark and some warriors and immortals. Morven Vahl did LOTS of work the whole tournament, she only lost her bodyguards in the final game and must have single handedly cleared over 1000 points of models over the day.Prize was some store credit, used it to get some sentinels and a russ for my upcoming militarum army./Blog

Despite that Guard will definitely be one of the more pricey armies out there depending on how you want to build them. I decided to finally take the plunge into dark eldar for the new release. Incubi are the coolest models ever and I love them by the way.Anyways, what's a good way to sub assembly the boats? I want to make sure to paint things before they're covered by grates and a lot of the internal before the sails get in the way. Also going to go ahead and throw the dudes on the boats, I know I can get more warriors if I don't but then the boats look kinda boring.
