Well, her first ability is just to pick your perfect fit as a couple. Its not like she can shapeshift into useful forms, at most she can dodge by becoming child like if they try to hit her head.

And while her power looks like one of the best in pure combat, it also has the weakness of needing to be activated and its the most obvious power.

The best choices are Suzu and Yona; they're good enough to bully most other foxes at the start and are sure wins, so long as you kill the other near the start and don't throw by going after Saya immediately. Saya is the best choice. Strongest power, top 2 intelligence, no moral set back. Suzu could be sonic but she is not hurting her, Yona can't even lift 20% of Saya and Saya outlifts her.
The only problem is her personality, but she is loyal to you like everyone else would, and they can change overtime, so the challenge comes after winning.

Of the 3 endings none is you being killed, the bad ending is the kitsune being defeated, not you, either the amulet protects you, they ignore you or they don't want to kill you. You kinda have plot armor like a pokemon trainer never being hurt.
And Suzu looks like in the dumb and good side of the kitsunes. Saya on the other hand, if someone would hurt you, its her, so you are making your most dangerous enemy your ally

yeah, you are right, but then they can't win. Yes, Suzu technically could do that, but you are not dying and she is not defeating Saya. So... stalemate? and given Saya as the main kitsune would get powers from the others, she could eventually have clones, plants, telekinesis and so, powers that would let her counter Suzu using her intelligence.

So at most Suzu vs Saya is Suzu buying time but Saya getting better powers to trap her eventually.
