Used the feathering technique with a dark red and a lighter blue (the sword was already decently dark so i didnt need to emphasize the shadows too much)Then once the red was feathered and blended, I repeated the processe with some orange going really bright towards the tip.Then I edge highlighted in orange, then yellow, then I added the scatter-highlights and done. The process is simple, but by adding more time to it you can really make it pop.

It'll help your primer mix better when you go to shake it. Doesn't have to be super hot, just warm enough to run your hand under without it burning

I'm gonna try and only use paints I had at that time to keep them accurate the the era I painted them in and keep myself from touching up stuff I wouldn't have been able to do at the time.

IA is the faction meant to pile up everything in the Imperium that's not it's own full blown faction or barely gets represented in the tabletop like the void breachers and officers of the imperial navy, rogue tradeers, arbites, demon hunters and so on. As much as I love inquisition stuff and miss some old metal and FW inquisitor characters I personally believe there are countless ways to expand the range beyond just that. It's by far the faction with the most units that exist in lore but not in the tabletop. Also inquisitors are tough ass motherfuckers, Hector Rex dueled Skarbrand by himself alongside his big suit of armor that gives him marine tier strength and Karamazov has a big fuck all battle throne.
