>>96681491The same thing we do every night, Pinky.Try to Imperialize Chaos.
>>96681497oh right, yeah the pink armour on the box art scheme was just too bright for me and the way it contrasted with the black parts/steel trim, it made it look really punky/rave and i wanted a more opulent/decadent scheme

>>96681483I wish wraith guard didnt have bowling pins for helmets
>>96681545Why? So I can see more posts about that australian slag?
>>96681438The Wraithlord kit is fine. My only complaint is that the wrists are super thin and don't have a socket to fit into on the arm, so they seem like they would snap off easily without pinning them.

>>96681617I have no such issues with my Necrons and their older models. Even with thin contact point kitbashes. Like the Cryptek I'm working on with a old lord lord body. I'd sooner snap off his staff than break his wrist.
>>96681341been redoing the silver armor on some previous characters with my new recipe. really liking how its going.
>>96681636
>>96679128Nobody posted a source so I guess this is a made up story, but there is a similar bit in Master of Mankind. >There was more – somehow, the lobotomised woman’s very last thoughts had been of her human life, and the weeping children that had been pulled from her hands as she was hauled away, screaming, on her way to reprocessing. Alpha-Rho-25 discarded the data as irrelevant: a tediously emotional misfire of a dying, imperfect biological engine.
>>96681491>What's everyone's hobby plans this weekend?I bought my birthday gift early since I wont pass by the lgs in the day of. Other than that Im gonna keep working on my october collage models since Im feeling super excited and inspired for it.

>>96681544>trying to flirt with the cute and evil xenos boy>adepta sanctimonious won’t shut up about itIt’s like being around a real like evangelical or tradcath
>>96681651There's also the whole "35 is considered an unusually long life expectancy in the Imperium (it's what Ultramar has)"
>>96681480Omg is your head ok
It is interesting to think about how on most imperial worlds, the kind seen in the Cain books, they never encounter any of the serious shit in 40k so the emperor is like god is in Christianity. Just the guy you learned about in Sunday school, maybe you dated an emperor botherer. Now imagine the psychic awakening and suddenly actual miracles start happening. People would flip their shit
>>96681438The Wraithlord model is honestly great for its age. It's only real flaw is the legs need to be cut up if you want any pose besides standing, but you can get some damn nice posing out of it if you put some work into it.
>>96681687Flesh and Steel has a part set in a Servitor factory for a similar grimdark bit.
>>96681687I choose to believe that the Imperium’s short life expectancy is like how it was in the medieval times, as in when you take out child infancy mortality (or Imperial Guard mortality) it’s actually an average 65-70. Basically if you can avoid the war you live a pretty average amount (you won’t avoid the war)
>>96681422Tau ain't even got artillery
>>96681687They love to put throwaway lines like that in stuff like the Calgar comic (that’s where it comes from.) It annoys me because it’s usually grimderp that they put in to say see look it’s still grimdark even as the tone shifts.Although I suppose you could steelman that one as not being grimderp by saying it’s that lot because so many people die in childhood. That’s why real life societies has low life expectancy, babies died due to lack of modern medicine while adults lived full lives most of the time
>>96681444From the descriptions in the novels, it sounds like Fantasy elf food honestly, they're not vegetarians either. There's a Drukhari Archon feast where they're snacking on seafood. They have wine too
>>96681665Happy early birthday anon, good luck with your spooky model.
>>96681695>>96681700Here's the thing:I do believe that it's with child mortality. But that's still fucking horrifying. For THAT many children to be dying in childhood is beyond shitty.
>>96681706thanks, Im excited and I hope it turns out how I envision it.
>>96681710the thing is its a combination of shit right? you've got child mortality PLUS the losses of the Red Army in WW2 on steroids PLUS general poor health due to environmental disaster and industrial toxins. all that BARELY offset by the lucky few that either get turned into Space Marines or super augmented tech priests or have the money for immortality through rejuv treatments.
>>96681710It’s sad yeah but Ultramar could be pretty nice to live in general and it still be true. Even the children of Roman patricians and emperors used to die.We really underestimate how much human civilization was transformed by a small number of technologies, antibiotics in particular. And guess what…antibiotics are losing their effectiveness due to evolution among diseases. The hand of Nurgle at work….

>>96681727Well now Slugs gotta be a part of chapter name.
>>96681693Shrinkwrapping on their coveralls before the surgery seems a bit counterproductive.
>>96681687Life expectancy idiots never take into account that child mortality really fucks with the number. Having a bunch of ones and zeros thrown into your mix seriously fucks with the average. They'd know that if they didn't get so many fucking zeros on their mathematics exams.
>>96681744Hey don’t blame them, that’s what the DAOT instructions say
>>96681693So what, does the admech buy them or are they condemned “criminals”?
>>96681722Sure but let's be honest, we all know that the civilization that uses fucking galley slaves to load enormous cannon rounds via ropes isn't the kind of place that's a nice place to live other than a high child mortality.
Dark Eldar refresh is coming. I can feel it.
>>96681770Stated to be the second one in that book >His role was to assess criminals and mark those of above-average intellect for sequestration to the artisanal workshops.
Let's not forget that piece of lore where Imperium criminals have their arms and legs cut off and mounted on walls as a form of security camera.
>>96681747child mortality isn't a problem in 40k :)
>>96681790Thanks for reminding me I need to finish that book.

>>96681727What green primer is that?
>>96681829So has his face turned that colour from the strain of hauling around a vehicle-sized weapon, or is it form the thought of what the recoil/muzzle blast is going to do to him when he fires it?

>get my rubrics and build>check them against my berzerkers>they stand eye to eye with the stationary pose zerkersI'm 99% sure the retards who parrot that tsons are shorter only think so because their backpacks aren't giant, their actual bodies are the same size
For anyone who has the new Flayed One models; how do you think they'd fit on 25mm bases? Considering getting into an older edition of the game with a Necron force.
What primaris units are needed before GW has to come up with their next big thing?
>>96681849he's a former deldar, the weapon is from the kabalite sprue too
Finished the 5/10 Humans for the strike team, and did the base for the 10th. As well as primed the Hammerhead proxy I talked about a while ago.And did some rough base coats on my October collage piece.
>>96681826>reference to the golden age of sail, since the imperial navy is just that in space>complete with space shantiesManual loading of ship weapons is the number one specific thing I see people cite when talking about grimderp, but I think it's cool
>>96681922Ork picrel, though with very basic initial layers. I ended up going with blue armor over grey/all metal since I felt it'd look better.
>>96681626Nice bird
>>96681687>>96681693>>96681695>>96681700>>96681747How is even life expectancy counted? Like 35 what? Years? What years? Solar years? Do Ultramar(ians?) count life according to solar years or their own sun in their own system? Is there a standardized way to count how old someone is? Then what about Tau? In a novel an Ethereal said he is not scared to sacrifice himself as he is close to death anyway being 60 years old. Again what years? Then there are Ethereals who like live for 300 years like Aun Shi. What years?
>>96681926>>reference to the golden age of sail, since the imperial navy is just that in spaceThere's a few bits of 40k fluff that are basically just this, like the absurd work hours in hive cities are probably just a reference to the work hours of people in factories in England during the industrial revolution.

>>96681948I primed it black, then primed from above with a matte tan before starting. I figured that the slight yellow/brown would help make painting the green look better vs painting on grey/white primer.
>>96681939I assume most of the Imperium's military and bureaucracy standardized to Terra's "solar years".
By way of ebay I've gotten a tac and devastator squad, 3rd edition land speeder, and a boxnaught for cheap so I'm finally starting a manlet-only marine army.At least one squad of assault termies and vanguard vets are a given but how many more tactical and devastator squads should I get? I was thinking two and one more respectively.
>>96681939
>>96681922What an absolute Unit of a turret on that thing.
>>96681941There's a whole book about it. Takes bonding a soul stone late in life though which is a risky ordeal and seldom offered by the craftworlds who hoard them jealously.
>>96681922...are your tracks upside down?
>>96681941get off the path of damnation so Slaanesh stops sucking as hard, also get a spirit stone.
I’m slightly tempted to start a spirit seer list. Maybe I’d be on it already if they meshed with harlequins more.
>>96681941Join up with a Corsair band, become close enough with a Craftworld Eldar that they let you come back to their Craftworld, and beg them to give you one of them super rare spirit stones, which might also kill you in the bonding process depending on how much of a sick fuck you were. It might be easier to become an Exodite, I don't recall if it's ever been mentioned how one becomes an exodite
>>96681986An incubi joining a craftworld seems particularly fucked up since they literally have to kill and torture an aspect warrior to become an incubi. But the funny thing is that I'm pretty sure both instances of a deldar becoming a craftworlder were incubi
>>96682005>kill and torture an aspect warriorin that order?
>>96681989Yeah I flipped and inverted the treads. I felt like it looked a bit better with the the sprocket getting the little bulge.
>>96681940And you can fluff it by asserting that loading cannons and operating the hive systems used to be done by AIs and robots, but without those they have to be done by men
>>96681998>Join up with a Corsair band, become close enough with a Craftworld Eldar that they let you come back to their Craftworld,This sounds like the European immigration crisis. It doesn't end well.
>>96682009Kind of, actually. Killing an aspect warrior puts their soul in their spirit stone, then they modify them to become tormentor crowns that causes them to radiate pain and agony by torturing the soul trapped inside them so strongly it effects others nearby..
>people complain about the rules and 10th edition>meanwhile in the 3.5 CSM codex a single unit of Nurgle Chosen could reach over 2000 points in bonusesidk man I've played since 6th and this is the best the game has ever been

>>96682028it's the best its been balance wise but the lack of flavor means its lost something along the way I still feel like late-stage Kirby era in 6th-7th was the worst 40k ever got.
>>96682028People complaining about the 'good old days" of 40k rules seem to forget that broken comps had long reigns of tyranny and usually had to wait until the next edition or codex to be solved, rather than the 3-month cycle of balance updates we have now.
>>96682036/v/ermin and fake grog secondaries wouldn't know that so 8th is the worst
>>96682036I can't help but think GW will start adding a bunch of flavor back into the game as a means to sell more stuff. >>96682041Right? Plus at least armies look like actual armies now. For how fucking long did we have to deal with bullshit Taudar garbage and >I'm gonna have.. 30 guardsmen, 2 officers, a knight... and 3 smash captains.>Daring today aren't we?
>>96682041so in pure theory, old 40k was supposed to be accurate to some kind of a narrative. i.e named characters would be OP with literal plot armor. So the game relied on you and your opponent basically agreeing to not break the gameHowever, in practice, to not break the game you had to essentially throw the game at several points, you couldn't run monoload out units like all lascannon devastators were seen as waac by some people
how are autarchs trained? do craftworlds just notice a particular aspect warrior is cycling through several warrior paths without becoming an exarch and that makes them an autarch? or do they specifically have to walk the autarch path?

>>96682051In pure theory, it always has been even in the current edition. In 3rd & 4th edition, you only used special characters by mutual consent - But they weren't OP as such, they were just better versions of their nameless unit types with a special rule or two. Marneus Calgar still "only" had 4 wounds and 2+/4+, which stood out because most non-monster characters had 3. The rules have gotten tighter because quite frankly, a tighter ruleset is better for any game than a loose one, and if people want to play 40k narratively instead of competitively, nothing ever stopped them from doing so and there's no need for GW to force it when its up to the players to simply choose how fluffy they want their game to be.

>>96682068Not sure how it will help your case NPC, but here you go.
>>96682138One schizo decided his shtick is hating EC and saying nobody plays them.
>>96682138>>96682141You're still doing it
>>96681444They eat food (protein, carbs, fiber, sugar) but shitting crystals is only ever mentioned in a extremely dubious source which gets basic facts about other species wrong so most likely their feces is similar to ours but far reduced in quantity compared to us.
>>96682106Yeah, but OP in 4th is like, one more wound and +1 to two attributes and costing 40 points fewer than they 'should' because the matrix GW used for point costs based on stats didn't have a metric for characters' unique rules. So they were OP in that sense, but they didn't dominate their games and become mandatory picks when events allowed them. The idea always was these are special guys that can makes the games thematic if you include them, but they aren't going to play your game for you.
God I hope Dawn of War IV has a Tau DLC.
>>96682141No you're just bad at painting lol
>>96682167I don't even play EC man
I swear, the fucking iron halos on Bladeguard break off so easily.
Should I magnetize them? Or since the recent codex is that not necessary for things like Crisis Suits since they basically grouped them in 3 same weapon teams? Riptides, Broadsides and Ghostkeel's probably should be magnetized, no? Is that a big hassle? Do the weapons fall off and are annoying when magnetized? I never did that so I have no idea how annoying it is.
Man tau really just get uglier every time you look at em.
>>96682141I'm the guy asking why he's so against that model and you've accused me of being the same schizo hating on the emperor's children because I said their range was boring, so I won't be listening to your takeOr feeding the retard seething about some guy's EC HQ anymore (you)s
>>96681941Basically realizing you're a simp for Slaanesh and understanding that all the torture, rape, murder, is just accelerating the extinction of your race and asking for help from other Eldar whose doctrine is "shoot on sight" and trusting them to believe you that you want to change and then accompanying a raid to the Crone Worlds where every Slaanesh daemon is beelining to you because you are a supernova broadcasting your soul into the either and finding a soul stone willing to accept you and congratulations you are just a bog standard Craftworld Eldar now. I like these new termies, and I kinda wish GW would stop trying to seperate each kit to eahc game for bean coutners and let Heresy era stuff be used by the veterens of the long war. The past soldiers of the Imperium that helped to found it have been twisted by literal nightmares to tear down the Imperium. They should look ancient and weird and different from M41 tech

>>96681699They have Seeker missiles.
>>96682237
>>96682201Honestly the commander and xv8's are really only worth magnitising still.
>>96681543When you think about it, hololive is a little mid anyway. And none of their elves speak english.
>>96682258Both the Riptide and Ghostkeel have different big weapons. I think only those are worth magnetizing. Rest can be kitbashed into multi weapon platforms.
>>96682249Deathbuard literally do use Cataphracti though. I suppose there’s nothing stopping you from just proxying in HH models as Chaos Marines either, the refreshed models should be around the same size/scale
>>96681626I was at the GW store today waiting to get my free model and 1 paint since it's been a couple of months so I started looking at the pries on their fuckin models. >>96682277Check out Lego prices. It's even worse.
>>96681651>>96679128Doesn't seem real. Mainly because it's kind of policy that children will rarely get hurt in popular ips and properties. It's like Cyberpunk,GTA and Red dead magically not having any random kid npcs in the overworld or if they exist you cat hurt them.
>>96682275Saturnite termies should be an option for elite CSM termies units. The Justaerin, red butchers etc
>>96681974This is stupid as fuck because names don't fucking change because of the language, Robute Guilliman is fucking Robute Guilliman in every fucking language. Considering the Arabic numerals and the English literary rules involving EVERYTHING in the Imperium and our own universe, the "common language" (Low Gothic) would most likely be understandable and near identical to modern English. Education and standardized pronunciation allowed English to stratify and halt development. The Dark Age of Technology civilization would take great pains to have have a common language across human space. "High Gothic" is most likely bad Chruch Latin combined with technical terms to obfuscate and simply deny lower Imperial citizens the very concept of higher technology and learning, which is exactly why the Catholic Church of old refused to translate the Bible into local languages.

How does space marine geeseed multiplication work? From what bits I understand you use 1 set of geneseed to make a space marine and when he dies you extract 1 new set that make a new space marine. But if that's so then shouldn't space marines be going extinct from ones that die where you can't recover the geneseed? How do they make geneseed in a positive ratio?

>>96682897One in the neck that is extracted when it matures, the other in the chest that is taken when the Marine dies.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>96682904A complete geneseed is still those 2 pieces together though. Unless you can extract them from space marines multiple times, it's still spending 1 and getting 1. Which means you can't lose any or its negative.
>>96682915Both Progenoids will produce complete geneseeds. Unless you fail to recover the body, you're getting 2 per Marine. "Phase 18: There are two of these glands, one situated in the neck and the other within the chest cavity. These glands are vitally important and represent the future of the Chapter, as the only way new gene-seed can be produced is by reproducing it within the bodies of the Marines themselves. This is the implant's only purpose. The glands absorb genetic material from the other implanted organs. When they have matured, each gland will have developed a single gene-seed corresponding to each of the zygotes which have been implanted into the Marine"

>Taus standard equipment is seen as special weaponry to the ImperiumSo the Tau is more technologically advanced than the Imperium right? Like the imps have WAY better tech overall but its hidden away and used by very specific and powerful people and groups, standard gear vs standard great the imperium is just outmatched by the Tau
Would it be more fun to play 4 40k armies or an army each for 40k, aos, legions, and Horus heresy?
>>96683152Yes, common imperial tech is "inferior" to Tau tech. But, the imperium still can use sometimes exotic DAoT stuff that mogs anything the Tau has, it's just hidden away by the greedy and paranoid AdMech. Also the Tau sometimes miss the point of imperial tech, whose main feature is being made to last. From starships to space marine suits, they last for centuries or even millenia. This adds to the already overwhelming superior in numbers imperial logistics.

Even something as simple as a las power pack is quite a fancy piece of tech I don't see Tau making use of. And stuff like pulse weapons aren't that fancy. It just uses induction to heat and propel the projectile.
>>96681322I cannot choose between Raptors, Crimson Fists or Black Templars.. assistance is required, CF seem pretty cool and they do have a special character but the I do like the crusading aesthetic but I feel not many people collect Raptors of CF
>>96683201> Predator was main battletank of DAoT humanityyes, but that was because DAoT humanity do not really used tanks anymore. The RH1-N0 variants were literally STLs for colonists dealing with orks and other fauna. Just like Knighs and Titans were repurposed construction mechs. The more civilized DAoT core human worlds were closer to the Star Trek Federation or The Culture until the Iron Men rebellion fucked it all. So most of their really advanced weapons dissapeared leaving just the prepper toys.
>>96683218It is, especially when it comes to what was the average distribution of the tools amongst colonists, who must have favoured hardy simple equipment, but it's also undeniable that it produced extremely advanced technologies the votann are another example of some of those, and while most of their forces we see are those of glorified miners they still have outstanding power armors, a mastering of various other fields of tech.the tau got handed a rudimentary version of ion weapons from them and they've been thus far unable to develops it to match the understanding and sophistication of the votann ion weapons. This must be imagined for many other fields, if one were to treat the nebulous daot fairly.Humans at the time weren't certainly at the heights of eldar or necrons, but they were surely ahead of the tau in their current state.

>>96683246Anon, when you have Star Trek tech, tanks are like horse carriages.Predators were the mainstay DAoT tank in the same way synthetic compound bows are the most common bows nowadays.>>96683260We got clues about that in pic related.
>>96683229It's weird how over time everything that came before was better than what we have now. Thunder warriors went from inferior proto-marines to primaris+ that tore marines in half, with some handwaved reason they had to be gotten rid of. 2e CSM used Crusade era plasma that was more dangerous than later Imperial plasma, and lacked a lot of the post-Heresy equipment of the Imperium. Now Crusade era marines had way more cool stuff than what 40k marines have.

>>96682775no one does and never will
>>96683331>Armor becomes useless and only energy shields matterLeopard 1 was built on the concept of armour not mattering, putting emphasis on mobility and firepower. Then we invented composite armour and suddenly armour mattered a whole lot. Even Starfleet ships began to armour up in later shows, not just relying on shields.>look at what is happening with drones IRL.What did happen with drones IRL? Beyond some carefully edited and cherry picked propaganda videos, countries aren't getting rid of their tanks nor buying all the commercial drones on the market to replace them with.>"Tanks" do not make sense once antigrav becomes cheap and common.Because anti-grav tanks are not a thing?

>>96683405>EldarAaaand into the trash it goes
>>96683361>Leopard 1nonsensical example.Betting on not being hit is not the same as relying on energy shields> carefully edited and cherry picked propaganda videoswe have entire fucking battles on video showing armoured colums being destroyed by drone hits and drones as artillery spotters. And that's after modern ATGM already made WW2-style tank rushes a suicide>countries aren't getting rid of their tankssunk-cost fallacy> anti-grav tanks are not a thing?sure, but they only matter in the middle range between low tech (40k Imperium) and hi tech (Necrons, DAoT)

>>96681687>>96681939>How is even life expectancy counted? Like 35 what? Years? What years? Solar years? Do Ultramar(ians?) count life according to solar years or their own sun in their own system? Is there a standardized way to count how old someone is?A redditor once actually did the numbers based on the stated distance of Macragge from its star and worked out that a "Macragge Year" is between 2.41 and 2.85 standard Earth/Terran/Solar years. So if they were counting by Maragge years and not Terran/Solar years then life expectancy on Macagge would be 84.35 to 99.75 Solar years.>https://old.reddit.com/r/40kLore/comments/q8d90b/a_year_on_macragge_is_285_terran_years/>Then what about Tau? In a novel an Ethereal said he is not scared to sacrifice himself as he is close to death anyway being 60 years old. Again what years? Then there are Ethereals who like live for 300 years like Aun Shi. What years?THANK YOU! I've asked a few times about any source for Tau life expectancy being low because all I could find was Aun'Shi who was nearing retirement age at 40, but still able to kill Orks in close combat. If I remember correctly, a Tau year is approx. 300 Earth days, which would mean the ethereal you were talking about was just shy of 50 Terran/Solar years old.But the big problem in all of this is that I legitimately don't think the writers are smart enough to have ever thought about any of this.>>96681651Just reading that, without any other context, I took it to mean that the kid was ripped out of her arms as she, the mother/narrator, was dragged off to be turned into a servitor.

>>96683424>strawmanningyou're wrong about the meaning of that word just like you're wrong about the rest>>96683435the point is that a main battle tank during the DAoT wasn't representative of their real military tech. Just like modern archery bows doesn't tell you anything about modern assault rifles. Do you even know what the meaning of "MBT" ?

>>96683464>the point is that a main battle tank during the DAoT wasn't representative of their real military tech.[citation needed]>Just like modern archery bowsModern compound bows are not standardised military equipment MAIN BATTLE TANK by definition is military equipment.

>>96683471>There were weapons in the older days that could do it: weapons of immeasurable power, tech devices employed by both the Iron Men and the alliances that stood against their cybernetic revolt.>Oll remembered the horror of entropic engines that ignited planets. Sun-snuffers that uncoiled like serpents the size of Saturn’s rings. Mechnivores ingesting data along with the cities that contained them and hurling continents into the heavens. Omniphage swarms stripping flesh from a billion bones in the blink of an eye.>Those were the good old days, when war was something too colossal for a human mind to comprehend.>Not like the End War. The Warmaster’s heresy was a smaller thing, scaled for human and post-human brains.>Perpetual (short story) This is just one reference. Tanks during the DAoT in actual core human worlds were just not a thing.>MAIN BATTLE TANK by definition is military equipment. You keep missing the point. The Predator was a repurposed civilian vehicle and that's it.It says very little about what the real DAoT military looked like. Like trying to understand the whole US military by looking at a prepper hunting deer with a composite bow.
>>96683502>no 5 wounds on my terminator captain or homebrew chapter master is bad because... because... it just is okay!!!!alright. at least I don't have to waste time on your shitty list no one cares about.
>>96683513>Tanks during the DAoT in actual core human worlds were just not a thing.More proof of this is how the Rhino had to be "rediscovered" in 30k in Mars, while there were DAoT colonist survivor civilizations that were still using using it as their mainstay tank until conquered by the Imperium
>>96682951>>96682957Amazing that you can still turn your noses up like that when your head is buried into the ground for the call to prayer.
>>96683513people just do not get that the end of the DAoT was just as bad for humanity as the Fall for the Eldar.Pretty much all big human systems were destroyed or fell into barbarism like Terra. Only low tech far away colonies really were able to prosper and weather the End Night
>>96683533>Only low tech far away colonies really were able to prosper and weather the End NightAnd these were either destroyed by the imperium during the Great Crusade, or later during the HH.

my favorite slop tubers, who happen to get early access to GW prodcuts, say every edition of 40k is broken so we need to be grateful for modern rules.thoughts?
>>96683576My thoughts are that you're a fucking idiot for watching sloptubers, next question
>>96683576There are no good sloptubers and I certainly wouldn't trust any of their opinions on rules of all things.

>>96683513>The Predator was a repurposed civilian vehicleAnd the M16 is a repurposed civilian rifle. You keep ignoring the fact that those "prepper colonists" had whole empires of their own. They fought wars and had standing armies, they weren't just a bunch of frontiersmen in ATVs with machine guns strapped to them.
>>96683580>>96683586 i'm sarcastically warning you about 11th edition and shills, guys.
>>96683576>say every edition of 40k is broken so we need to be grateful for modern rules.Sounds like 40kg, except 40kg will call you a nogames nomodels secondary fakegrog tourist if you question why 10th stinks like rancid eggs.
>>96683576fuck sloptubers, but it is true that every edition is essentially a different version of the same game so if any given person played all 10 editions of the game people will have a preference for one of them and it is true that 10th is the most "flat" of them so many will prefer that versus pervious editions that are really high variance, low variety, poorly balanced etcPlus there will always be newfags who get their first experience in 10th and a decade from now will be nostalgic for it.
