I'm building the decks I wish I could have when I was a brokie a decade ago. Even better is the fact vintage magic card prices have been at the same price for years with no signs of rising, with collectors prioritizing serialized cards and really shiny rare things from newer boxes, the slop.

My playgroup is usually pretty battlecruiser-y and averages 90 minute games and we consider it ideal, people have the opportunity to comeback if they get behind early, everyone has an opportunity to do what their deck wants to do and the winner of the game usually ends up being whoever best navigates a very complicated board state as God intended.I will never understand the logic of people who whine about long games because they want to get "more games in". Why the fuck do you even want to play if you just want it to end as soon as possible? It's a reddit mentality. It's the cuck instinct to just give up and spread your buttcheeks whenever you're even slightly disadvantaged. My theory is that also redditors are just really dumb, and prefer the early game because there's fewer permanents and it's easier for their brains to comprehend. Also in long games, the best overall player is more likely to win because small incremental advantages from superior decision making builds up over time, and I can definitely understand why a stupid reddittor would hate that.
