That being said, it's nonsensical Crusaders are still in the game.The meaning of Jihad is a fundamental point of debate in Islam. It's as significant as the difference between Protestants and Catholics except far more meaningful because the differences in Jihad's meaning revolves almost entirely around whether the use of violence is permitted or not. Modern Catholics and Protestants aren't going to kill each other over their differences but Jihad can and does inspire violence. Put one way it's the difference between defining Jihad as "genocide" or "self-improvement". There's less ambiguity than Crusades, which were just plainly genocide.
