Yeah maybe, I was considering things like the replication shelf or the mirror from castlevania.
I was unsure if technically the item is inside the portable hole and thus gets duplicated along with the hole or if you just get empty holes. Mainly trying to figure out how to duplicate items that are to big to fit on the shelf or bigger than a handheld item for the mirror.
Because from how the descriptions of bags of holding/portable holes are worded it's unclear if the items are inside the bags in an expanded space or on another plane and the items just connect to that point in the astral.

>Because from how the descriptions of bags of holding/portable holes are worded it's unclear if the items are inside the bags in an expanded space or on another plane
I always assumed a diffferent plane, or at least somewhere btween the planes, especially since stacking them straight up rips a hole into the astral plane.
>Mainly trying to figure out how to duplicate items that are to big to fit on the shelf or bigger than a handheld item for the mirror.
Otherwise why not just use shrink item or reduce person(which shrinks items caried/worn by the person) to decrease the size of the items temporarily, letting you duplicate them and then have the spell wear of.
>>
>>96704506
>Otherwise why not just use shrink item or reduce person
Mainly because I'm trying to duplicate major artifacts, and by the local rules they are effectively immune to magic so I'm not sure shrinking them would work unless I declare that dnd magic trumps their magic resistance.
I am already using item shrinking to duplicate items and people for other things though.
>>
>>96704548
how abou enlarging the mirror then?
Like just have a person hold the mirror and then use enlarge person on them, which will cause the mirror to grow alongside them.
>>
>>96704569
It's not actually a mirror, I mixed it up with a different thing.
It is specifically the Misty Moon Window from Lament of Innocence. It works by duplicating something that you can easily hold in one hand so you are holding it in both. So it is mostly limited to consumables and money or other small things. I figured that a portable hole all folded up should be small enough to duplicate which is why I was trying to decide if the contents would be duplicated along with it.

Yes, it gives a sadistic little girl who is the strongest fighter in the setting all of your perks and she desperately wants to kill you.

Also it costs 1200 undiscounted so you can't even make a very good build in that jump to avoid her.

She might get better if you also took a variety of mental health or pain resistance perks. Better yet a power toggle.

Get Applied Energistics from Modded Minecraft. The drives are the size of a regular computer hard drive and can store massive amounts of items. There's also spatial drives that can hold a volume of space if you want to work with buildings, vehicles etc.

Wow.

That’s a lot of curses.

A LOT. OF. CURSES.

“Fuck this. Ammy!” AMATERASU ŌMIKAMI, GREAT DIVINITY ILLUMINATING HEAVEN, I CALL ON YOU TO RETURN TO YOUR COUNTRY OF JURISDICTION AND CLEANSE THIS IMPURE WORLD, I called out in a voice of power. The sun winked and became a wolf’s eye briefly, as all my summoning magic wrenched forth the barrier between worlds and drew forth a Japanese goddess who owed me a few favours from a faith drought some time ago. Light shone across Japan, and all manner of impurity vanished shrieking as if it was never there.

“Well, that was quick” said Elodie, as howling youkai ash washed over her. “Want to get udon for lunch?”

“Absolutely. I know a great place on the 4th floor” I offered, as we left the apartment roof and started descending.

The door opened on the 4th floor. It was not leading to an udon restaurant. It was, in fact, leading to a non-euclidean space full of things I liked. Musical instruments. Plots of farmland. Immortal things or things conferring immortality. Cooking recipes. “Uh…” began Elodie. “No, no, this is fine, I see how it is” I said, waving her off. “You go on ahead, this room was meant for me. You’re not the target”.

“But you’ll be trapped in there!” protested Elodie as I sat down and admired a nearly sorted pile of bureaucractic forms.

“I know! A suitable reward for tidying up this place, I think” I said, examining the miniature Final Shape on the table.

I spent the rest of the decade stuck in the comfy Backrooms. The most notable thing that happened was a third doll showing up and stalking me, making the other two jealous in their quiet doll ways.

Nice, thanks for the jump! Can't wait to see it on the drive.

So have a a scene. Admittedly the first bits a little out of my usual thing for writing but first time for everything I suppose.

"Aaaaand there merry christmas!" Venti beams as he perches the large black hat on Midnas head. "I know its not perfect, but I hope you like it. I tried to get the twili patterns right on it and the cloak."
He steps back and looks at the twili. Garbed in the black and pale blue outfit he had been working on since fall started.
"This is... surprisingly well done. And the patterns are accurate." Midna smiles looking in a nearby mirror in their tent.
"I suppose you have some hidden talents after all. How'd you even know some of these?" She asks jokes before wondering on some of the aesthetics.
"Oh it was less hidden talent and more way to many attempts between you and me." The bard chuckles shaking their head.
"But for the twilight stuff in particular. I took a trip out of the steppe for a bit. Went to a library and read up a lot on them and their clothing. Wanted to give you something you'd appreciate. Want to wear."

"Well you did wonderfully. It's beautiful."
Midna smiles. Sighing contently. It was nice to be on the receiving end of her companion's sentimentality at times.
"Heh I'm glad you like it. Though as beautiful as it may be. It pales in comparison to your own." Venti grins leaning in and wrapping his arms around her shoulders.

The Twili sorceress grins and lightly bats at him. "Oh hush you. With your sweet talk. I've created a monster. Indulging you so much."
"Aw come on! You like it. Even if you say you don't." The bard grins
"Well... you're one of the better things in these sun-drenched lands. Now do you want your gift?" She concedes nodding before she hugs him back.

"Sure!" Venti beams again giddy. "Perhaps you'd like to have dinner first though?"
He offers."Ritsuka's still not back yet. But I gave her gift this morning. I have a nice quiche and some soup if you want it."
"I can eat a little sure. Did you make any-"
>>
>>96707781
"Having a good holiday?" A voice calls out. Interrupting the two. The bards' eyes snap open. The pair looking to the entrance to see a particular Gerudo woman. Leaning against the tents opening.

"Minerva!... when did you get here?" He mutters. He wasn't expecting her today.... Venti had planned to give her gift tomorrow.

"A couple minutes." She looks at them and then to the tree at the other side of the room. Decked in ornaments and ribbons and small glowing lights.
"I stopped by to see how your search was going this week, but it seems your up to other things."

"Uh yeah." Venti nods pulling away from Midna.
"I have a little tradition of celebrating Christmas every year in the wintertime. Even if the dates don't match up great. Was going to surprise you. Um... would you like to sit down? I have gift for you to. And we have some fruitcake if you'd like it" The bard offers feeling a tad Awkard. Trying to grin it away.

"Sure, why not?" The Khan nods. Approaching and sitting down at the table nearby, the whole tent was essentially a small living room with furniture and other things about it.

"It's been a long time since I've thought about anything Christmas." Minerva ponders. Watching as venti with midnas help. Grab a long narrow wrapped box. Hauling it onto the table.
"Okay lil more... lil more- There!" He lowers the box in front of her and steps back.

"Well... I suppose I'll have to make up for lost time then. Even if this gift isn't that useful to you. I like to think its a... symbol of friendship."
The gerudo tears away the paper, opening the box to reveal something a bit odd. Pulling out what looked like a pair of dark red wings, Cloth Feathers the color of her hair along a golden frame.

2/3
>>
>>96707800
She looks up from it to venti and asks. "What exactly this is?"
"It's a glider!" The bard exclaims before hastily explaining.
"I know you can fly on your own. And even if couldn't its not like a fall would really hurt you but... well I've always found the idea of flight to be well... interesting. Captures the imagination. But for me flying proper takes some measure of spell cast beforehand. Not just leaping and... reaching the air. So I came up with these on my travels."
He reaches down and taps the golden frame of the red wings.
"It's a artifact see! I made it myself. If you ever jump and have it attuned, you can summon it basically by will and it'll slow you fall a lot. Let you... well glide. It also lightens your weight in the air a lot when its active. So with a bit of practice, you can go pretty far. You don't even need to "Wear"it really. If you don't wish to. It'll go away into its own dimension when not in use."

3/4 (Miscalculated my bad)
>>
>>96707816
"I see... it's oddly artful." The gerudo comments rubbing one of the "feathers" between her fingers. "Well thank you. Though I have nothing to give in return."

Venti shakes his head firmly.
"Oh that's fine! It's a surprise anyway. I'm not expecting you to of had something ready. Just... I hope you like it for what it is. Maybe your get some small amusement out of it sometime."

"I'm sure I will." The khan nods thinking to herself. Looking up towards venti. She opens her mouth to say something but thinks better of it. Shaking her head.
"Merry Christmas you two. You mentioned something about a fruitcake earlier?"

"Oh I sure did!" Venti nods brightly.
"Have some special fruitcake that's only a little dry!" He turns and peels off to the small kitchen in the corner. Opening a cabinet.
"And it's probably not the one from last year at that." Midna snarks grinning.
"That was just one year!" Venti mutters bringing a tray back to the table. A brown loaf upon it.
"But it was in stasis anyway. It was still good! Not that this ones like that. This ones fresh! I made it last night. Come on I'll show you!"

And so to her own surprise on that night for the first time in centuries. Minerva celebrated Christmas .

>In this section you can choose one or two Paths. It’s possible for people to be a Pathstrider of multiple Paths, but most do not due to the difficulty and instability of the conflicting philosophies. The more Paths, the more unstable.
Isn't this entirely made up? People can walk as many paths as their mindset/willpower allows, like the MC, characters with alts, etc. A person could walk Beauty, the Trailblaze, Harmony, and Preservation (find beauty and protect it collectively) without any contradictions. And people can seemingly gain paths just by being gazed at/blessed (MC) even if they don't follow the philosophy. Limiting people to 2 paths in the jump doc for discount purposes is fine, but I'd change the wording here to make it clear that it's just for that.

The Emanator perk giving you a fluctuating power level may theoretically make sense, but given what we've seen in the story no emanator so far has to deal with this so it's just a pure annoynace. I think it would be better if you just offered different tiers of power, since there is a vast gulf between weaker emantors (please stop jobbing, Herta...) and those who may or may not be able to destroy galaxies or solar systems (I don't think anyone knows how large "galaxies" and so on actually are in the honkai verse).

It would be nice if Expanding The Circle Of Knowledge explicitly said that you have joined the Genius Society.

>Unfortunately, what you see will be
immutable and impossible to change in any way, shape, or form.
Given that Aeons exist, destiny in HSR is definitely not immutable, and in Kafka's quest you are fully able to decline helping her.

I just quickly glanced over the jump, but the rest seems pretty good. There's just the usual issue of the "end" of the gacha being like a decade away so there's a lack of info for a lot of stuff.
>>
>>96707904
>(I don't think anyone knows how large "galaxies" and so on actually are in the honkai verse).
As large as actual galaxies given we literally SEE Deliverer Phainon evaporate several during his crash-out against Nanook. But the only Emanator we know for sure is even remotely comparable to that is Zephyro, who allegedly destroyed an entire galaxy - which still falls short. Nobody else outside of the Aeons can be said to scale to Fire Giant Phainon and such an option should not be given under that basis alone. Your average non-Zephyro Emanator seemingly tops out at wiping solar systems.

>Given that Aeons exist, destiny in HSR is definitely not immutable,
What Aeons can do =/= what the average pleb can do.
>>
>>96707917
>Isn't this entirely made up?
It's mainly based on an NPC called Stefano that talks about how the Paths the Trailblazer has are perfectly balanced. Aside from the player I don't think there's any characters that are explicitly Pathstriders of multiple Paths, save maybe Dan Heng who's kind of an odd case in that he's explicitly said to be a Pathstrider of the Permanence in the Amphoreus databank but implies he's a Pathstrider of the Trailblaze at the start of Belobog.

>I think it would be better if you just offered different tiers of power, since there is a vast gulf between weaker emantors and those who may or may not be able to destroy galaxies or solar systems
That bit is already covered by the mention that being an Emanator doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna have destructive power, unless you're an Emanator of Destruction that's all about sheer destruction.

Aside from that, as far as I can tell how powerful an Emanator actually is varies since it depends on how much the Aeon opens up the Path to a given Emanator. The upper limit there is mostly guesswork.

>It would be nice if Expanding The Circle Of Knowledge explicitly said that you have joined the Genius Society
I mean, you may not necessarily be part of the Genius Society even if you're on their level.

>Given that Aeons exist, destiny in HSR is definitely not immutable
It may as well be when it comes to Elio. Either way the mere fact that you're watching the future locks it in place.

>and in Kafka's quest you are fully able to decline helping her
Until we get Elio himself explicitly saying you would've accepted I'm going to assume that was just Kafka's assumption. He's the seer, not her.
>>
>>96707781
>Venti beams as he perches the large black hat on Midnas head.
Come to think of it, a large hat will shade Midna, which for a Twili must be nice.

>The Twili sorceress grins and lightly bats at him. "Oh hush you. With your sweet talk. I've created a monster. Indulging you so much."
You’re very spoilable.

>"It's a glider!"
This reminds me of the Essence Glider from Exalted.

>>96707832
>And so to her own surprise on that night for the first time in centuries. Minerva celebrated Christmas .
Some traditions are worth keeping alive.
>>
>>96707950
>As large as actual galaxies given we literally SEE Deliverer Phainon evaporate several during his crash-out against Nanook.
I'd say that part isn't exactly canon. Phainon is immensely powerful in the simulation, yes, and his last blow did manage to cut Nanook, but I very much doubt that if transported in the real world he would be able to do the same stuff.

>>96707976
>It's mainly based on an NPC called Stefano that talks about how the Paths the Trailblazer has are perfectly balanced.
I just checked the text, and he just says that the balance is beautiful, not that it is anything normally unachievable. What is and isn't canon isn't exactly clear, but there are several characters that walk multiple paths.

>>96707976
>Aside from that, as far as I can tell how powerful an Emanator actually is varies since it depends on how much the Aeon opens up the Path to a given Emanator. The upper limit there is mostly guesswork.
Power levels being unclear in the game doesn't mean you need to leave them unclear in the jump. A clear division between Herta - mid-Destruction - Ack for the cost of 600/800/1000 would be more canon compliant than what you currently have.

>I mean, you may not necessarily be part of the Genius Society even if you're on their level.
Yeah, but otherwise there's no option to join them in the jump. I don't know what taking GS in the faction section at the start makes you, but certainly not a member.

>It may as well be when it comes to Elio. Either way the mere fact that you're watching the future locks it in place.
Where are you getting this from?
>>
>>96708045
>doesn't mean you need to leave them unclear in the jump
I don't leave them unclear in the jump. I give a scale ranging from planets to stars, with the caveat that your actual powers are gonna depend on your Path, so you won't be able to nuke celestial bodies as, say, an Emanator of Remembrance, since not all Paths cover directly destructive concepts in the way that the Destruction or the Nihility do.

>but otherwise there's no option to join them in the jump
Please, for the love of god, read the jump again.

>I don't know what taking GS in the faction section at the start makes you, but certainly not a member
What exactly do you think the option does then? Make you a servant of one of the Geniuses or something?

>Where are you getting this from?
By the fact that every time Elio's script comes into play it is fulfilled? So far Hoyo has not broken the rule that fate cannot be changed whenever there's an actual prophecy by Elio in play.
>>
>>96708032
>Come to think of it, a large hat will shade Midna, which for a Twili must be nice.
Yeah, keeps the top nice and cool and away from the sun.

>You’re very spoilable.
Midna can be a little indirect with how she feels sometimes I think. But she'd agree I imagine.

>This reminds me of the Essence Glider from Exalted.
Oh? I didn't know exalted had a glider like that but I could see it. I admit I sorta based the creation off of Gliders in Genshin. Through the Lense of a artifact like in exalted.

He's made a bunch of them for a lot of his friends. A twilight themed one for Midna something for Ritsuka. Probably one for Hylia to eventually. I like to think venti wears his as a pseudo cloak most of the time.

>Some traditions are worth keeping alive.
Yeah. I was originally gonna write her to be more critical but as I did I kept getting the feeling it was making her needlessly antagonistic for venti keeping a tradition thats ultimately very harmless. She actually almost did start on that but thought better of it.
>>
>>96708076
>What exactly do you think the option does then? Make you a servant of one of the Geniuses or something?
Who knows? But joining the GS without being a genius makes no sense, so I presumed that wouldn't happen.

>I don't leave them unclear in the jump.
I'm talking about the power fluctuating according to how much you follow the path. This simply does not happen.

>By the fact that every time Elio's script comes into play it is fulfilled?
The SH have a script of the future and are actively working towards either fulfilling it or bending it towards their own ends. Nobody else knows the future, and they're powerful, so of course it all went according to plan so far. This doesn't mean that destiny is absolutely ironclad..
>>
>>96708094
>Who knows? But joining the GS without being a genius makes no sense, so I presumed that wouldn't happen.
If you aren't on that level then you're not gonna be part of the faction for very long. The main reason I'm not gating it behind getting a capstone perk is in case someone has OCP genius perks from another jump or something and can't be bothered buying the one in this jump.

>I'm talking about the power fluctuating according to how much you follow the path
It's mainly to represent the Path allocation thing that the data bank mentions.

>This doesn't mean that destiny is absolutely ironclad
The entire theme of Finality is that the future is unchangable. Moreover we at least get to see Firefly try to change what happens in the script and she not only fails but fulfills the script by doing so.
>>
>>96708110
>The main reason I'm not gating it behind getting a capstone perk is in case someone has OCP genius perks from another jump or something and can't be bothered buying the one in this jump.
I don't think gating the GS behind being a genius or the Antimatter Legion behind your path being Destruction, for example, is a bad thing. What you're doing right now is inter jump balance. If someone has genius perks from other jumps they can just use those to get in their own.

>It's mainly to represent the Path allocation thing that the data bank mentions.
Yeah, and I was arguing that you should do the path allocation via different price tiers. Buy a 600 CP version of the Emanator tier and your Aeon just decided to make you a shitter like Herta, done. And for, say, 1000 CP you're close to Acheron.

>The entire theme of Finality is that the future is unchangable.
Fundamentally, in a story like this with a self-insert protagonist, it is impossible for destiny to be unchangable. But alright, I'd just change it to say that a lot of power is required to fuck with the path of destiny.

Also the Twili probably prefer darkness, so maybe Midna will enchant the hat to reduce the amount of light that falls on her. Or maybe those Twili patterns function as a light level reduction array.

On that we'll just have to agree to disagree then.

That just feels awkward to me, especially when we don't get details on how the Path allocation actually works, much less how much allocation each known Emanator actually has.

>Fundamentally, in a story like this with a self-insert protagonist, it is impossible for destiny to be unchangable
I'll change my stance on it when the story confirms that Finality's prophecies can be changed. Until then I'm not going to ignore how the story treats Elio's scripts.

Have you tried reading the story? It's pretty obvious where each of the known emanators fall on the "how much energy do they have" scale. But you seem stubborn, so I can see I'm wasting my time here.

>Also the Twili probably prefer darkness, so maybe Midna will enchant the hat to reduce the amount of light that falls on her. Or maybe those Twili patterns function as a light level reduction array.
I could see that! Wanted to do something nice with her scene wise given the steppe isnt really a good place for her overall. So she gets a new outfit.

>Here it is.
Oh! That's essentially what I was imagining when I was writing the scene. Thats perfect a bit.

>I could see her glider forming itself out of Twilight energy.
Thats definitely a cool image. I don't know if venti would be capable enough to make it. But maybe if he ever does a 2.0 model when he reaches the third stage. He can make one out of twilight energy for her.

Mulling on what sort of scene to do next though I'm unsure.
>>
>>96708172
Aqua from Konosuba can casually break most spells/curses.
>>
Is it just me or do the HSR perks feel rather uninspired? I like the game but I'm kind of struggling to put an interesting build together. Maybe it's the setting, since the old reddit jump was also kind of whatever.
>>
>>96708251
It doesn't help that the game is just kinda vague about how powers work or what precise abilities the Paths grant. So most of the perks are mostly just skills and experience in doing some sort of activity and the like.
>>
>>96708191
>So she gets a new outfit.
A new look is always a fun way to change things up.

>Thats definitely a cool image. I don't know if venti would be capable enough to make it. But maybe if he ever does a 2.0 model when he reaches the third stage. He can make one out of twilight energy for her.
As for Ritsuka’s glider, it likely has a Ki powered rocket engine, so she can fly straight up if she wants.

>Mulling on what sort of scene to do next though I'm unsure.
You could learn to ride a horse. Given the horse is a Spirit Beast, this mostly consists of telling it where to go and holding on.
>>
>>96708251
The lack of Firefly stuff/a SAM suit makes me sad.
>>
>>96708273
>A new look is always a fun way to change things up.
Yeah! I imagine her look previously is what the image you posted but she switches between that and some twili like cultivator robes on occasion. With the new rannish outfit in circulation.

>As for Ritsuka’s glider, it likely has a Ki powered rocket engine, so she can fly straight up if she wants.
That sounds sick as hell. Yeah he'll definitely do that come the upgrades.

>You could learn to ride a horse. Given the horse is a Spirit Beast, this mostly consists of telling it where to go and holding on.
Oh I like that. That'd be fun. Holding onto a horse three times ventis size as it goes off. Barely guiding it along the way.

There are some key things I wanna do scene wise before I start time skipping muchadmittedly. Just not sure the order. Like the duel with Minerva though I'm not sure how to trigger that a little bit. That feels like a confrontation thats better earlier in the relationship then later.
Stuff like Ritsuka becoming a gerudo, or venti gaining cultivation marks can be during the timeskip.
Right now I'm thinking they've been in camp for about half a year now. While slowly living and adapting to the steppe.
Ritsuka kinda getting distracted from the whole treasure hunt, and midna really just going along with it in the first place. So the bards the only one really usually looking when not training, or barding for the Khan.

>Yeah! I imagine her look previously is what the image you posted but she switches between that and some twili like cultivator robes on occasion. With the new rannish outfit in circulation.
If anything, I could see the new outfit as a combination of Tharja’s outfit and Ranni’s hat.

>That sounds sick as hell. Yeah he'll definitely do that come the upgrades.
An Essence Glider with a booster engine is something I have on the list of things my jumpers could make in Exalted, so the idea converts over fairly easily.

>Holding onto a horse three times ventis size as it goes off. Barely guiding it along the way.
With the intelligence it would have as a Spirit Beast, you wouldn’t really need to guide it at all. On the other hand, the horse can probably run at something like 200 miles per hour, so even if you did need to guide it, you might not be able to. Though now that I think about it, horses are already very smart animals, so making them a Spirit Beast might enable them to start cultivating. Are you prepared to ride a horse that’s finished the first stage of God Body and can break the sound barrier?

>Like the duel with Minerva though I'm not sure how to trigger that a little bit. That feels like a confrontation thats better earlier in the relationship then later.
Actually, I think later would be better. Later means the two of you would be more open with each other, which would make the dialog more natural.

>Stuff like Ritsuka becoming a gerudo, or venti gaining cultivation marks can be during the timeskip.
Those will be fun to see.

>If anything, I could see the new outfit as a combination of Tharja’s outfit and Ranni’s hat.
That'd look good I think.

Are you prepared to ride a horse that’s finished the first stage of God Body and can break the sound barrier?
Minerva: So what did you think?
Venti: I've never before been so terrified in my life then when I was riding that thing. My life kept flashing before my eyes
Venti: Lemme do it again.

Hmm a horse being a cultivator jokes aside. They'd probably have to be sapient to do so if that's what you mean... Maybe that could be a tie in for centuars like you suggested at one time. Though having a sapient being as a mounts a lil weird.

>Actually, I think later would be better. Later means the two of you would be more open with each other, which would make the dialog more natural.
There is a point there yeah.I was thinking that if it was earlier it might help clear any lingering tension in the air between the two. And this is probably a bit of a character flaw in minervas eyes. Not quite being able to let go of earth. Even if ventis slowly doing it in his own way. And the lack of ambition/will

>Those will be fun to see.
Yeah! of course the pain of a cultivation system a bit is its hard to have visible or tangible progress on a usual timescale. In the first stage it wasn't so bad. In the second its like 20 years to learn three techniques but I'm trying to find other ways to show growth in the meantime. I imagine venti finds it just a little frustrating in character even if he knows the only real option is to keep working at it. Slowly building that mountain.
>>
>>96708386
>How am I supposed to choose 1-2 out of these?
You fool! These are not mutually exclusive, they're complementary. Fun adventures naturally lead to sex. Preservation and harmony naturally lead to knowledge. Knowledge and sex naturally lead to abundance. You aren't only picking one or two, you're simply picking the vehicle through which the rest are expressed.
>>
>>96708585
>Hmm a horse being a cultivator jokes aside. They'd probably have to be sapient to do so if that's what you mean
Like I said, horses are already pretty smart, so a Spirit Beast horse would probably be fully sapient.

>Maybe that could be a tie in for centuars like you suggested at one time.
Also possible.

>Though having a sapient being as a mounts a lil weird.
>Minerva: The key is we view them as people rather than animals. Yes, they technically are animals, but so are you, and you don’t think of yourself or your sister as animals. And as people, they have their strengths and weaknesses. They aid us with their strengths and we aid them with ours.

>I imagine venti finds it just a little frustrating in character even if he knows the only real option is to keep working at it. Slowly building that mountain.
Maybe impatience is the real flaw you have to overcome. If you feel a little frustrated at the second stage, imagine what the fifth will be like.

True I'll think on it. I'm just not sure if I'd want another full time character in the form of a horse but its a interesting concept.

>>Minerva: The key is we view them as people rather than animals. Yes, they technically are animals, but so are you, and you don’t think of yourself or your sister as animals. And as people, they have their strengths and weaknesses. They aid us with their strengths and we aid them with ours.
Oh treating them as a person isnt the issue. The issue is I think Venti would basically just not want to ride them at all if there fully sapient. Doesn't want to demean them

>Maybe impatience is the real flaw you have to overcome. If you feel a little frustrated at the second stage, imagine what the fifth will be like.
I think there are a lot of flaws to overcome. Cultivation I think in Hyrule isnt just about becoming stronger physically or spiritually but also in other aspects. Ideally one becomes a better person. Learning patience for vast sums of time like this is part of the process for him I think.
By the time the fifth stage rolls around he'll be long used to it I feel.

They don’t need to be a full time character, just a side character you only occasionally interact with.

>Doesn't want to demean them
The question is, would they see it as demeaning? It stands to reason a horse isn’t going to see things the same way as a human, even if they are fully sapient.

Fair. It's not like he needs a mount generally speaking either.

>The question is, would they see it as demeaning? It stands to reason a horse isn’t going to see things the same way as a human, even if they are fully sapient.
True a horse. Even a sapient horse probably does have different standards then a humanoid. I'm just imagining venti trying to feel things out. Offering them tea or trying to make polite conversation. Trying to figure out how to befriend a horse.

A first ride could be a fun scene to roll with though the more I think on it. Gets on and it immediately breaks the speed barrier. By the time they stop. There on the other side of the steppe.

Incidentally, this might be how the Zora and Rito came into being. Fish and birds became Spirit Beasts, cultivated, and reached the point that they could take a humanoid form.

>True a horse. Even a sapient horse probably does have different standards then a humanoid.
Think of it as the same as choosing a Zora to take care of a task underwater. There’s no shame in doing something your body is naturally built for. One thing I could see is they wouldn’t like saddles, bits, and the like, but since they’re sapient you wouldn’t need anything to control them, just talk to them, and a Spirit Beast horse would presumably only allow cultivators to ride them for safety reasons, so you wouldn’t need a saddle.

>Venti just nods wordlessly wide eyed.
During the ride, the Gerudo were doing some archery practice by throwing pieces of fruit into the air and shooting them.

>Well Centaur Zelda's a new one. Not bad though

>Incidentally, this might be how the Zora and Rito came into being. Fish and birds became Spirit Beasts, cultivated, and reached the point that they could take a humanoid form.
You've... presented me with a very neat idea here. I'm gonna use that. It'd explain the difference between those two and hylians/Gerudo/twili and sheikah. the "Human" races of hyrule.

Makes sense. I wouldn't want to have a saddle either if I was a horse.

>During the ride, the Gerudo were doing some archery practice by throwing pieces of fruit into the air and shooting them.
Oh that could be fun. And fun training for him to have to try and do himself mid or late second stage.

Hmm yeah the pieces of a scene are coming together in my mind a bit.
Venti gets presented with a horse. Lifted by his arms and placed on it by Minerva. And it takes off. A hour later he's on the other side of the steppe, asks the horse to give him a sec and wanders into a nearby town he see's. And narrowly avoiding puking by not having eaten for a few days. Ends up buying that piano. Maybe encounters a outside world cultivator there thats not actually a massive ass to him.. Who might be plot relevant later.

It does make everything line up, yeah. It also opens the door to Hyrule having various other minor races scattered around, which could be fun.

>Makes sense. I wouldn't want to have a saddle either if I was a horse.
And with storage rings to take the place of saddlebags and cultivation to enhance your ability to hold on, it’s not like the saddle would be of any use to you.

>A hour later he's on the other side of the steppe, asks the horse to give him a sec and wanders into a nearby town he see's. And narrowly avoiding puking by not having eaten for a few days.
>Horse: Maybe we should have insisted on him riding one of the children.
>Other horse: He’ll have to learn eventually. The Khan knew this would happen before she set him on your back.

>Maybe encounters a outside world cultivator there thats not actually a massive ass to him.. Who might be plot relevant later.
Turns out, if you’re an outside world cultivator, all you have to do is be polite and reasonable for Hyrule to become a nice place to visit.

Last time I rolled it wasn't a pure rollchain. I only started rolling well into the chain and occasionally stuck in jumps I flat out chose even after I started rolling. Once I put something on the list to roll for it would have to wait until it got rolled, at least.

For the actual rolling, I had two lists of ten jumps, with the second list being "rares". I'd roll 2d10 and jump whatever the first die says from the first list unless both dice came up the same in which case I'd take the corresponding jump from the second list instead.

Yeah. I'd still say thats pretty god danm shocking though. But also being in a society that's not immediately looking to step on you to try and get a leg up at the slightest show of weakness must be nice.

[Hades redux]

>Previously: https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/92906236/#92911279

The entire House of Hades stared, rapt, as Melinoe started dramatically retelling her many adventures after maxing out every weapon and trinket and her entire tarot deck and ending up spamming the Supay Flames, waving said torches around as visual aids. She spoke of how she'd fought Strife and sea serpents, clashed with Scylla and Charybdis, and at long last struck down both Time and the very father of monsters themselves. Only for both to reconstitute themselves on the morn.

"Damn, little sister. I was going to try to impress you with my many escapes from Hell, but that's a little above my paygrade" said Zagreus.

"O-oh, it wasn't my intention to boast, big brother" said Melinoe quickly. "I've trained all my life to rescue you from Chronos' clutches, and now somehow by the will of Chaos I'm with you all again-right before I was about to complete a dread spell of entropy wrought from Typhon's fall, to imbue father's spear with so I could at last slay Chronos for good! I just...wanted you all to be proud"

"And we are indeed" declared Hades. "You have come not long after my house has been reconciled from long strife. Let us speak of Titans and wars later. Today, you are our guest. And my daughter"

After yet another party, I cornered Zagreus as he was getting used to fighting without having like 4-6 Olympians showering him with blessings. He was surprisingly attached to the spear for a guy who'd made his first run by sword. "Zagreus, something just occurred to me" I said, affecting thoughtfulness, "are you SURE all those satyrs are gone from the upper underworld?"

"Absolutely not, those cretins won't stop spitting poison! But what's to be done about them?"

"Well, I heard all their blood sacrifices are going to a central chamber beneath the upper underworld. Might be worth a check?"

"Oh, why not? One more run for the books"

And thus, I simultaneously made the coming of the Golden Age inevitable, while derailing Chronos' entire plan. Mainly by derailing the very possibility of him having a plan.

I wasn't present when Zagreus met Chronos recovering in the under-upper-underworld. I'd be later told that Chronos was even more surprised than he was in canon to not even be approached in violence, and Zagreus went even more quickly from curiosity ("Oh, hello there! Are you alright? You seem...rather injured, what with all the gold holding your flesh together") to helpful ("So you've been at war with father? I can definitely sympathise with that sentiment, he can be SUCH a demanding fellow! Wait, you're HIS father? Okay, I have to know: Has he always worn that beard of his so long?") to literally leading the increasingly confused Titan over to the family gathering and announcing since Melinoe was there he might as well introduce one more member of the family to the gathering.

Nor was I present to witness Melinoe almost calling down a hex, Thanatos pulling a Bleach flashstep, the Furies setting everything on fire, Chronos preparing to negate all of that with waves of halted time, Zagreus desperately hitting every dialogue interrupt he could-and Hades eventually being the bigger man and COMMANDING everyone continue the newfound tradition of just talking things out around a table.

Everything moved very quickly thanks to Zagreus' divine power to make people act out of character and just get along. Chronos expressed that his children were disobedient, entitled and guilty of cutting him to pieces. Hades pointed out he'd tried to EAT them all. Chronos exclaimed that was like, just one time. Persephone pointed out they were expecting a second child and killing their grandfather would probably set a bad precedent. Hades mused that the Isles of the Blessed WERE a bit shortstaffed.

And that's how Chronos got a new job. A rather cushy job, really.

>>96715403
You'd expect Zeus to be INCREDIBLY pissed that a Titan was walking around freely but actually once again, it was totally fine. In canon it's not entirely clear why the Zeus of this reality displayed unprecedented lenience towards a political enemy. In my timeline however, it was once again totally just Zagreus exercising elite level hobnobbing (despite Melinoe continuously freaking out and griping about not getting to finish her killstreak). He just talked to Dionysus about living and letting live, and the Dionysus of this world NOT having the violent insanity aspects of his multiversal counterparts immediately decided to spread the good word about Chronos' gainful employment, and Apollo heard about that and was inspired to write a song, and one thing led to another, and-

-this reality was full of frankly astonishing outcomes for Olympians that otherwise cleaved relatively closely to their mythical counterparts, but even I was still surprised to see the king of the gods strolling over, noticing Chronos yapping it up with long-dead legendary men about how good the Golden Age used to be, and just going "This is fine! Everything is fine!" and leaving again. Even when he saw it pissed off Hera.

...especially, even.

Chronos remained distrusted by many, feared by all during his employment-an arrangement he largely tolerated due to Zagreus flustering him with regular nectar/ambrosia offerings, a newfangled (to him) tradition that warmed the empty sandy chambers of his heart. That and well, his diligence making him a good fit for the Isles, and getting to hang out with people who DID remember his reign fondly being a decent consolation prize for no longer ruling the world.

Then Melinoe was born, and to Older Melinoe's dismay this apparently activated Chronos' long repressed paternal instincts. The Titan of Time playing tag with a small nightmare nymph quickly became a common sight around Tartarus.

3/4
>>
>>96715406
Melinoe, I cannot stress enough, was very VERY angry about this at first. It didn't matter. Because, you see, Melinoe was no more immune to Zagreus' apparent ownership of illogical friendship perks, and he quickly talked her round to seeing things his way after a single slideshow's worth of cutscene time. Yes, yes, there was also the whole "living for revenge will just leave you empty and bitter" angle but in the end, even Melinoe wasn't sure why she didn't press for Chronos' execution.

Although due to MY subtle machinations, being able to get memories from her current younger self being pampered by Chronos did help win her over.

And so, everyone lived happily ever after. Typhon remained buried under a rock somewhere, indefinitely regenerating from an ancient battle. Prometheus periodically showed up to firebomb Olympus, remark "my job here is done" and then leave with no further explanation. Eris joined Scylla's band. Hecate never came into existence, much to her relief.

...

"Well GEEZ LOUISE mistah, ya really cut our work short!" complained the smallest and loudest of the Fates, back at the Fate Dungeon I'd put them in.

"What can I say? The way your work was going to wrap up so abruptly, leaving loose ends to tie themselves up and skipping over a potentially devastating family schism, why don't you all just...quit early?" i pointed out.

"Aw but where's da DRAMA?! Oh well. One Golden Age coming right up, gods withdraw from interferein', yadda yadda, there we go. Well, it's been SWELL bein' a captive, but we're heading out now!" she announced, as all the Fates packed up and left.

"Where to, may I ask?"

"Out!"

I squinted. "...there's nothing but an absolute absence of reality where you're headed"

"I KNOW, isn't great? Aftah bearin' witness to' da literal fabric of reality, we could USE a good sensory deprivation chambah!"

Maybe. I could see gorons living there a bit. The cold might not bother them much and if there are mountains that could be comfortable for them.

That could be a neat change to have happen in the immortal realm maybe. Though by then possibly ventis entire body could be made of wind/air. Even if it is still outwardly hylian

Yeah. Thats not to say there would be neglect to other elements. Its just sorta leaning on the theme thats there.

I can see it. That general ability to affect the world with your will would be the basic power of spirits, and each cultivation path would give you a way to discorporate into an immaterial form, DD as a thoughtform, GB as Ki, and SC as elemental energy.

IX never shares its gaze with anyone or anything and the only reason Acheron is an Emanator of Nihility is because she got a full dose of a Shadow of IX when it destroyed her world and all she cared about and somehow did not immediately cease to be. Even then, it's a constant fight to ensure she doesn't spontaneously cease existing. Both Acheron and the Doctors of Chaos are on the fast-track to nonexistence unless they can figure out a method to get IX to contradict its Path.
>>
>>96716620

SB and Reddit have one. We don't.
>>
>>96716766
The power of an Aeon is granted through their gaze which comes about through either drawing their notice or exposure to them. It's not about "taking" anything or needing to be endorsed - an Aeon doesn't even really have to properly acknowledge you for their gaze to happen. Becoming an Emanator of Nihility is just a case of being exposed to a sufficiently large scale Shadow of IX and not getting immediately erased.
>>

>who can just slap the concept of death on you
Skill issue. During it's battle ORT recreates itself with a new concept to regenerate the one that Dino Shiki stabbed. So yeah Type-Oort, and specifically Type-Oort not that loser Arc, can apparently just flex through having the concept of death stabbed.

You could also get flash fried by the forces empowering Daybit's angelic artifact, which will turn you into an immobile shadow that will outlast the universe-the actual, non-metaphorical universe-itself. This is legitimately the highest-tier form of immortality we've seen in the setting, arguably even beyond the Throne of Heroes or status as a Divine Spirit because even those are ultimately just emergent phenomena-phenomena that Ultimate Ones can apparently consume.
>>
>>96718520
>not that loser Arc,
Okay shard your Gohanposter is showing. It should be pointed out Arc was on her last legs when she encountered Shiki, When she has a few days to rest and recover in Ciel's rout she barely has any lines of death, Shiki had to kill nature in an area to affect her.
>>
>>96718597
Dinosaur Arcuied also gets literally trampled by Lostbelt ORT, for what it's worth. At the risk of invoking the tulpa, I'm just saying that ORT on it's last legs >>> Arc on her last legs. The fact that she doesn't have it's capacity for regeneration and reactive evolution is just proof that, well, ORT is objectively better at regenerating than her. If Roa had tried to jump ORT in an alley he wouldn't be around anymore.

The Machine from Person of Interest was built for this kind of espionage. More generally, you don't need to have something that puts you into databases or creates documents; you need a thing that convinces clerks to put you into them and then issue the corrected documents.

Whether this is by convincing them that the current records are wrong or by convincing them the records need to be changed anyway, the system rationalizes itself.

The standard arbitrarily advanced computer virus or mind control technique could do it. As could a means of accelerating bureaucracy paired with lots of bribe money.

The Wyrm is insane and suffering and constantly lashing out, whereas the Winnower just seems to be a cosmic asshole by nature.

>>96726971
The main differences are that the Wyrm is perpetually assmad because it's opposite number is actively fucking with it while the Winnower actually got over the rule change and learned to enjoy the universe for what it is, and also that the Wyrm is a lot more proactive about actively corrupting things while despite apparently leaving caches of Darkness around for people to just pick up and use, the Winnower's usual MO is actually much subtler to the point of being identical to Darwinian competition.
>>
>>96727634
I meant more how "Wyrm victory" is a scenario people are seriously concerned about when the Weaver has already won.
>>
>>96727694
Well again, to be fair one of the end times scenarios does in fact have the Wyrm successfully destroying everything. It's not as clearcut a victory as it seems as long as the wrong man in the wrong place can do the wrong ritual and give the Wyrm more slack, oWoD kind of runs on Buffy rules where sometimes the right macguffin/ritual can result in a massive paradigm shift.

They do dream, though, and sometimes in their dreams they discover secrets left by their ancient predecessors, secured in the darkest recesses of the web of destiny against unimaginable future calamity. These are the Secret Arts of the Sidereal Exalted.
Revised ExWoD (the same edition where stuff like the Last Daiklave comes from) allows Sidereals to learn Sidereal Martial Arts while they sleep, and then teach others.

It won't be straightforward, and things are significantly different from Exalted versions. But you still can do stuff like punching a vampire so hard all his descendants feel it or punching people into ducks.

The act of making jumps itself is safe, it's when you become a "jumpmaker", aka namefag, that the faggotry sets in.
>>
>>96729926
No, I was gay before I tried making a jump about traps fucking
>>
>>96730616
Jump name?
>>

Like the other guy said, adding on the fact that according to the official doctrine of the world government they are supposed to be actual gods (they aren't) and so there's literally nothing they're gonna be held accountable for doing to mortals, just like how you can't really do anything if Zeus decides to rape your wife and then destroy you and your house with a thunderstorm. It's literally deity level status

It was "Yep, A Manga About Cosplaying Traps!". I never finished the thing

You could offer up Gohan as a catamite to him.

Well that was a jumpchain related dream. I was on a chain and doing shopping but for some reason my only power was clapping my hands together and summoning quarters.
>>
>>96731484
Dreams are just memories of your chain that managed to filter through your current amnesia drawback.

I dreamed yesterday that Trump abolished the Federal Reserve, and issued new currency, except every single denomination had his face on it, and the numbers 45 or 47 in the corners, so nobody could tell what each was supposed to be worth.
>>
>>96732194
I don't see how that is Jumpchain related unless you are claiming Trump is a Jumper. He isn't, though technically he is a drawback in a jump.
>>
>>96732283
I could see Trump being an early jumper
>Jump 3
>spent most of my CP on karma houdini
>took some ego drawbacks to afford the charisma perks I wanted, haven't caused me any problems except some interpersonal friction - but I don't have any companions yet, so it doesn't matter
>I used my business perks from last jump to scam a bunch and build a real-estate empire
>the other drawbacks I took to buy the "giant hotel" following location are giving me trouble, since half the country seems to hate me
>still somehow got elected president of the united states three times, so that perk is working
>>
>>96732312
Wokes aren't welcome here.
>>
>>96732312
>three times

I think your math is a little off. The first time he got in via the electoral collage. He won by a technicality. Which, yes means he still won.

The second time he lost. He kin of ignored a pandemic, bad idea. He thought that pumping up the economy would carry him through but the pandemic dragged the economy in to the dumpster Privately he even Acknowledges he lost.

The third time his opponent had early to middle stage dementia. Idiots around him sheltered him from that fact but then Biden shit the bed in the debate and was replaced by a diversity hire.

Clearly Jumper trump has old school jumpchain luck perks that only work some of the time.

Question for Skyrim, is the Divination Tech of the Alliance included in the Sealing perk for the Hunt Path?
>>
>>96732474
There's a strong contingent of lefties in the Jumpchain community for some reason
>>
>>96732432
Second time he obviously colluded with Russia to hand the election to Biden, so he could take a break while Israel went full BY THE ROOTS on Palestine.
>>
>>96732503
I'm going to say no.
>>
>>96732682
They only have their imagination left to comfort them.
>>
>>96732682
You included.
>>
>>96732755
So, something to add in world, or is there a perk I haven't looked at well enough?
>>
>>96732755
No simulated universe Item? Also Driveanon deleted the Genshin update again
>>
>>96732847
>Spoiler
You sure it was Driveanon? We had a problem with a dude from QQ repeatedly deleting the Shadowrun Trilogy jump a little bit ago
>>
>>96732863
He might mean deleting the updated version in imaged and keeping the old-version in the series folder.
>>
>>96732817
I did plan on a hexagram divination tech but it turns out it's a gift of Nous and the Erudition perktree was already full. So, something to figure out during the jump.

>>96732847
No, mostly because I forgot about it and one item isn't enough to justify yet another small update IMO. And is the genshin update not in the drive itself already?
>>
>>96732898
>No, mostly because I forgot about it and one item isn't enough to justify yet another small update IMO
In the next update maybe?

> And is the genshin update not in the drive itself already?
Apparently Driveanon stuck it in the Imaged folder but still has the old one in the Hoyoverse folder.
>>
>>96732948
>In the next update maybe?
Yeah sure.

>Imaged folder
Weird, maybe he forgot the hpyoverse series folder.
>>
>>96732969
>Weird, maybe he forgot the hpyoverse series folder.
No clue DD did some funky stuff with accidentally deleting updates to other jumps too.
