Will playing a theft deck get me hated off the table
>>96794801Depends on your pod and how you play. The one thing I can guarantee is that if you play theft, at least one person at the table is going to know exactly how powerful what you have is, because you ripped it from his grubby hands. You will need to pace yourself if your deck isn't tuned to fuck and back and if it is, you're going to have to be upfront with it or else people will be ultra pissed. The "oh I'm only playing your stuff, so it's only as powerful as your deck" argument is only cute the first time.

>>96795961A friend of mine has a First Sliver deck where he doesn't play Sol Ring. According to him, occasionally having a faster start isn't worth hurting the consistency of his cascades.

>>96796106My LGS screeches and bans you if you use proxies. Personally I just use bootlegs and their "judges" never notice, but I did see them kick someone out for using anime tiddy proxies.
>>96796112Those work too and absolutely slap. You can also use Demonic, Vamp, Imperial, and Worldly in the deck as well since they're only 1 and 2 cost. That way you can immediately queue up another WUBRG Sliver for your next turn.
>>96796121>I did see them kick someone out for using anime tiddy proxies.can't blame'em>personally I just use bootlegsI literally went to a PTQ with a 100% bootleg deck (lands included) and got my spot. "Judging" in this game is a bad joke hahahah
>>96795961I've heard of a guy cutting it from Ivy cause he could barely use colourless mana for all the cantrips and whatnot. I've only played against it once or twice, but it still went wild quickly.
>>96795207Do you have the Amelia edit?
Post d*ck picsThis one is a 4fun build (no wincons, just a emergency softlock) that I made with cards in my collection that I don't use anywhere else
>>96795961Like some of the other anons have touched on, there's really no reason to take it out unless it actively hurts your gameplan. Its ubiquity is earned.Unless it's going to fuck with resolution of your main gameplan or you're in a deck that actively hates colorless mana, it's pretty much perfect.
>>96795961Decks with low generic costs.
>reading a primer>it's written by chatgptgreat, thanks. the thing is, chatgpt probably wrote a better primer than what this retard could, and it's probably actually correct. but using AI just signals low effort, and if you're not bothered to write your own primer, how do I know you were bothered to build a proper deck in the first place?
>>96795961devotion, maybe? but even then, i can't imagine it hurts to have
>>96795961there is literally none EXCEPT heavy devotion decks that don't play their commander because sol ring still pays for the inevidable tax

>>96796348it's pretty rare to have a deck that doesn't have enough generic cost on it's spells for sol ring to be useless
>>96795961Can't cast it from the top so it's trash
>>96795790It's literally good at any table. Probably worst at high power tables because you'll hit more counters and high synergy value pieces. It's like you took og Narset but let you cast four fucking cards without even attacking. It's literally four times worse than narset to play against. The value/cost ratio is absurd, probably one of the best in the game desu.
>>96796487>ermm its actually WORSE when you can steal good cards with him.Youre retarded. There is a reason etali sees cedh play and that is precisely because you can reliably flip into goodstuff gas from your opponents, tutors, draw, rituals etc.>narsetMuch stronger in low power pods.

>>96796532>Much stronger in low power podsWrong. There are way too many edicts nowadays>There is a reason etali sees cedhSure. The reason I say it's arguably worst there is your less likely to hit big bombs, and a much higher density of counterspells. Worse doesn't mean bad btw, etali is certainly good in cedh, but absolutely triple-God unholy kijg bazookadick tier in lower power level contexts.
>>96796544I don't think you understand my argument
Temur confuses me
>>96796532The chance you flip into a counterspell or unusable combo piece, i.e. literally the worst possible hits, is way higher in cEDH. Despite that the value from the card is still high enough that it's run as a wincon. In lower power games now you swap half the bad hits for a random 8-mana bomb and surprisingly wow the card still looks good.
>>96796295And this one is a "cedh" build. Dagsson was the 2nd edh deck that I made (back in last year of school when our group find about edh on a facebook group). The 1st deck was a Sliver Overlord one, but the foil og slivers play even better on a binder, so I dismantled it.Since I 1st build Dagsson he went from a "swissknife" style that tryed to do everything (with Dagsson's tutoring); now it's a soulless U goodstuff that tries to combo on T1. >>96796624Poole is still the best, and no one can convince me otherwise.
>>96796570>>96796592Youre retarded. The worst possible hit for etali is a LAND CARD you fucking moron. And where are you more likely to hit a land? In lower tier games where the land count is higher. And, interaction is another thing you dont want to hit. Guess what has more interaction! Low power games! The chances of hitting gas is much better in cedh>unusable combo pieceSuch as...? What "unsuable" combo piece do you think hes hitting? If he hits a counter its a counter your opponents dont have (very good!) If you hit a combo piece YOU WILL USE IT or leave if exiled so they cant. Fuck sakes youre both retarded and got your shit kicked in by a middling deck and cant accept that.
>>96796479>boros artist>green cardWAS JOTC GONE MAD?????
>>96796632WHAT BOMBS? This is fucking absurd. What ubiquitous goodstuff bombs is etali getting in low power matches? ~1/3 of low power decks are lands, much more than cedh decks so already you are more likely to hit shit. Second off low power decks are usually (USUALLY) more restricted in their card choices. Unlike the default goodstuff piles of cedh you will get tons of cards in low power that are literally only good for the deck they are in. Absolutely retarded opinion

>>96797216The density of unplayables in high-power is much higher because there's a high volume of stack interaction and combo pieces (that Thoracle isn't doing much without backup). >>96799576Yeah turns out that after MH3 you have so many good MDFC lands that goblin charbelcher combo decks are suddenly very viable. It also turns out that recycling lotus bloom with tameshi is also the best way to generate the 7 mana needed to win with belcher quickly.
>>96799701doesn't lotus bloom only give 1 mana? how is tameshi's recycling ability mana-positive?
>>96799730You're thinking of Lotus Petal retardkun.
>>96799730You're confusing it with lotus petal, lotus bloom gives 3 mana but has suspend 3 so you can either suspend it turn 1 and wait for it "fairly" (viable in modern, highly not reccomended in EDH since you only have one) or you can find a way to discard it so you can reanimate it with Tameshi skipping the suspend. You can also "cheat" it into play with whir of invention/reshape for X=0. The math then works out that you got positive two mana for every Tameshi activation, since you have to bounce a land to hand for every activation it works out similar to if you had cast a rain of filth. It's not unusual to be able to "ritual" for 10-20 mana on turns you're trying to win with this interaction, both in modern and EDH.
