That would certainly work. The black base looks good there.

For some reason I feel like a really dark jungle thing with some intense spots of dark green would be neat, but I have a thing for those kind of bases anyway.

Keep it dark. Jungle, swamp, dark city ruins. The scheme is slick. My philosophy is that I am painting wargaming pieces, not mini dioramas, so I try not to overload the base.

I have some very thin guage enamel coated copper wire used for tiny magnetic windings.
I can't say that's the BEST option, but I'm planning to do something along the lines of picrel and it seems like a good option, it can be formed, and is tiny enough for it not to look stupid like the aluminum wires I have. If anything it might be too tiny.
