Your flaw is that you base your reasoning by the constricted definition of reality the False Emperor sought to impose on the galaxy. You deem Chaos incoherent because it does not conform to your own view, rather than the consideration that it is merely another form of coherency. To the denizens of the Warp, what is mortally defined as coherent is in fact incoherent, for they reside within a different definition of reality.
The crux of this is that their reality is the one which all souls naturally come from and inevitably return to; therefore, it is the Natural Reality. You trust the False Emperor to define nature and reality when that is not his place to do so, thus his definitions are implicitly false.
There is truth that the False Emperor has grown mighty since his fall, but he has done so by the way of the Gods, the way he himself once scorned in belief that he could change the definitions of reality. Only in accepting the power of the Warp has he reached his position, loathe as he was to do so at Monarchia. His rise is in itself a resignation to that power which he sought to rebel against; the power of the Gods and the Warp.
You speak of binding and Great Patterns, yet again you mistake the Emperor's false Truths for the Natural Truths of the Warp; the soul exists within 'reality' in what is ultimately a fleeting existence before it returns to the Warp, to be reshaped and given form anew. There is but one escape from this cycle; the acceptance and reverence of the Gods, and thus Divine Apotheosis.
You fight against 'annihilation' and 'dissolution' because you have been given the wrong definitions of them. You labor for a hypocrite who has risen to power by the very laws he once scorned; the laws of the Warp. In the end, you merely adhere yourself to a lesser of the Gods, one who sits broken shattered by the lessons that he was taught.
Assurance brings Adherence, Adherence brings Apotheosis, Apotheosis brings Happiness.

Given what's known about the Emperor and the Primarchs now, nothing was actually stopping him. He left them in on purpose just to piss Angron off, just as he left Angron's friends to be butchered rather than simply going down and toppling Nuceria's despots in an afternoon. In all likelihood, he fully knew that Angron would fall and simply opted to let him suffer.
>>96816626
The Nails, being left in for so long, became part of Angron's core being. In essence, the concept of the Nails imprinted itself on Angron's soul because he lived so long with them. Khorne's solution was a simple but effective remedy; give Angron endless battle and the strength to wage endless war, and the "Nails" >in his soul will be silent.

The only good arguments are against the inclusion of women in the space marines.

The only good solution to the alleged demand for female marines is having sisters of battle with transhuman augmentations and bulkier armors introduced as additional units of their roster instead of the space marines one.

I think it was more than that. He just wanted to make sure he turns, maybe not to chaos but against the Imperium so the Emperor would have a reason to purge a great portion of space marines after the grand crusade. He always wanted a civil war.

It's essentially all up to Angron. It did fix him and he actually was much more happy as a daemon than a human. Right now he's a mad beast and we don't really know what happened in the time he was gone. Too much fighting in the Khorne world turned him into a bloodthirster probably. Also nta.

>>
>>96816766
>why can't chaos change everything about him in apotheosis but nothing about the butcher's nails?
Chaos just shapes you more or less according to what your soul looks like. Khornes influence turned him into something resembling a bloodthirster while Angron's own influence gave him imaginary nails. Basically if you think you're fat you're gonna be a fat daemon prince unless you start seeing yourself differently.

No guarantee it can fix his brain in any capacity. Regular humans have a very good natural healing ability compared to the rest of the animal kingdom but we still can't regenerate or fix brain damage innately.
>Vulkan regenerated from being reduced into a literal charred skeleton.
Vulkan is a perpetual and only primarch who has that ability. He is straight up immortal and cannot die ever. Him being able to regenerate from anything, he is a poor example.

Malcador, the Custodes, and Alivia Sureka all confirm that the Emperor did steal power from the Chaos Gods. Outside the setting, Dan Abnett and Guy Haley said that the Primarchs were created through knowledge+power taken from the Chaos Gods.

The Valdor novel heavily implies that the Emperor deceived the Chaos Gods into giving him their power.

Laurie Goulding going over the timeline of the HH said that the Emperor made a deal with the Chaos but had no intention of fulfilling it.

The days that you can cope as "Horus was corrupted" are long over.

It wasn't the custodes who asked that, it was the mechanicus who went to the DEldar and asked for their help.
Custodes just let it happen, yes it's extremely retarded.

Also you forget this whole "pls help us with the golden throne" business is 10 000 years after the Horus Heresy when the Imperium doesn't have many options and it is desperate.
And you then also forget that the DEldar were going to steal some of the Emperor's genetics in the process and then clone him and make their own replica of the golden throne in Commoragh to close Khaine's Gate.
Even worse knowing the DEldar they would 100% try to backstab the Imperium as well if given the chance. Why would they fucking care if Terra is lost?
There's millions of other planets out there with humans on them, and they can just start up even human farms to get more slaves if they ever felt like they needed more.

No matter how you look at it, taking Angron to the DEldar is fucking retarded. There's also no guarantees that they won't just try to kill him and play it off as "woops, i guess he died" or do some sinister shit where they "fix him" and then at same time fuck with him in a way which lets them take control of him if they so please.

Your idea is fucking retarded.

The Dark Eldar weren't the the Dark Eldar in 30k the way they are now. They were a bunch of subrealms and factions ruled by noble houses. The covens likely existed to some extent but not the way they do now.

Vect was the first to use the term Dark Eldar in Aeldari lexicon, and he didn't take over the city and unify the subrealms until thousands of years after 30k.

Honestly I will hate it if they do and I'm a woman. It just feels retarded to make female space marines. They would have to look like male marines and there's so much stuff about geneseed and battlebrothers....it gives me the ick.

I never felt this way about Custodes. Custodes are custom made so it makes more sense to me that you could alter a woman's biology to enhance it. Space Marines are made using the geneseed of male primarchs. Obviously none of this is real so they can declare whatever they want but fiat but it doesn't feel right

The Emperor could have healed Angron. He says at one point that he could have brought Ferrus back to life after he was killed.

He thought Angron was more useful the way he was since he wanted to use his sons for different purposes. Dark but that's the nature of war in 30k

A mortal psyker tricking the gods of chaos is quite a thing even if he's the strongest psyker of them all.

As for why they would want to deal with him, the emperor is the psyker to end all psykers. The gods would cream their pants over making him the Everchosen of the 40k universe. Lorgar, Horus, Ababbcringe, these people are all wannabes. The forces of Chaos would destroy everything with the Emperor as their warmaster.

Honestly the Eldar and the Tau should just team up.

>The Tau are the only faction in the galaxy (other than the Votann) who are remotely able to be reasoned with by the Eldar
Obviously the Eldar would never join the Greater Good or anything but it would make them look a lot less retarded than their usual schtick of "help the Imperium, get immediately killed by the Imperium right afterwards"

you don't understand either, the eldar want independence while the tau want control
the eldar want to have their swan song and die in the fires of rhana dandra while the tau want to build an empire
the tau have nothing to offer to the eldar and the eldar don't trust an inferior race to use their shit for good, or even be able to use their shit
the tau wage wars of territorial expansion while the only engagements the eldar want are defensive and preemptive ones

the only alliances that can happen are when their goals incidentally align, and the eldar are not afraid of making alliances of convenience in those cases, with imperials too
if it doesn't happen on screen with the tau it's exclusively because gw is stuck in a perpetual cycle of reintroducing people to 40k so they tread and retread the same imperial stories ad nauseam

The biggest problem with Tau vs Imperium lore right now is that the way the Imperium treats the Tau is very much the opposite of how you would expect the Imperium to treat a minor faction.

We're told that Titans and Space Marines are rare, and valuable. That most people go their entire lives without ever seeing one, and that losing a Titan or Space Marine (and even worse, having a Space Marine's geneseed destroyed as railguns do) is an immensely heavy loss. And yet the Imperium deploys them against the Tau despite knowing the risks and despite Titans and entire Space Marine chapters having been lost to the Tau before, all to fight a a minor faction that by all means they shouldn't be wasting these resources on.
We're told that irreplaceable archaeotech weapons are...well, extremely valuable and that using one up really pisses of the Mechanicus especially if it can't be recovered afterwards. And yet they use them up against the Tau, a supposedly minor faction, just to delay their expansion.
We're told that exterminatus is supposedly a rarely used tool of last resort used against worlds that the Imperium is certain they will never be able to recover. And yet they use it frequently against worlds the Tau are about to take, a minor faction that the Imperium supposedly could wipe out whenever they wanted to.

Honestly, if anything, the problem with the Tau isn't that the Imperium isn't focusing on them enough...it's that the Imperium is focusing on them way too damn much relative to their size. Why is the Imperium throwing away entire Space Marine Chapters and Titan Legions and irreplaceable archaeotech weapons and exterminatus'ing entire just to slow the Tau down? That's how you treat the fucking Tyranids, not a minor xenos faction.

>>96817214
>Actually, Phil Kelly said that the Aeldari see that the Greater Good has merit and that it could work.
Nothing I said goes against that
The eldar are fatalistic about the fate of their own race, there's not one inkling of an idea about joining them or learning from them and rectifying their own ways, they know the eldar themselves are in a death spiral and at best hope the tau will do better than them in time

Ultramarines are unironically a good choice for both hobby or fluff, their super special character trait is that they're extremely competent. They have a strong color scheme with lots of prior examples to mix/match/make your own.
Crimson Fists are a chapter I just like, easier to paint too.
Space Wolves are balls-deep in wolf and pop-culture viking esthetic. If you like that, great, if not then they have little else to offer but their new models are nice.
Chapters with more divergent doctrines like Raven Guard and White Scars are cool, even as successors with your own color schemes.

The Imperium being dumb is just something that should be acknowledged in general, it's kinda weird how...defensive Imperiumfags can get to the point of trying to logically justify every single one of their actions as being purely pragmatic.

Someone once mentioned that the Imperium's behavior isn't a rational response to dealing with problems, but rather a trauma response, and that always seemed the best way to put it personally. They're not throwing around exterminatus willy-nilly because it's the smart thing to do, they're doing it because they're a hyper-paranoid state that has a bad tendency to use the most extreme measures even when they're actively harmful.

That's only a problem if you have retarded ideas about the scales and power levels of the setting in the first place.

Titans and marines are rare and powerful and the tau are a small power only relatively to the imperium, which is diluted over a million worlds across the galaxy, many if which harbour trillions of souls

Titans and marines get deployed and get destroyed all the time, and it's still a blip in the radar because the galaxy is indeed immense.

One of the best examples of this is in the Rogue Trader game. There is a noble who is (to someone versed with the lore, but not someone in-universe) very clearly a slaanesh worshipper. Several people try to warn you, but they have all done something worthy of getting BLAM'd for. If you BLAM them, you will never find out about the cult. are these two being autistic about calgar's armor? why do they think lore matters in the face of models? they said the armor was turned into the gravis one so that the gravis model wouldn't feel as much of a downgrade, and they're now ignoring the armour was broken down so that they can reuse the old design.
It's not a difficult retcon to understand.

I dislike the word "lore".
This isn't a 40k only thing, but this is where I see it most.
This isn't some ancient myth, folklore or History. This is the background of a game, it's fiction.
I love fiction and I respect it very much so, as long as it's good.

But it's not "lore".
>>
>>96817904
Yes, it is, it's used elsewhere with this meaning too, you're just angry about it because you think it carries some sense of importance, it doesn't, it's synonymous with background and fluff in this context.

Stop being autistic.

I'm willing to bet SW as well as DA will get a wave in 11th. For Wolves it will be Canis with new Thunderwolves and probably Long Fangs/Sky Claws and for Dark Angels it will be Ravenwing with Samael.
>>
>>96817946
I don't understand how people can spend so much on something that takes so much time.
I understand wanting to buy a lot of new stuff, God knows I love shiny new plastic, but looking at my wallet and the time I still need to put on my pile of shame it quickly makes me very, very picky.

My pile is:

The DA half of dark vengeance + limited ed Chaplain (I got this year)
A lot of DA upgrade kits
The Interrogator Chaplain with Power fist
Ravenwing Knights
The old Cadian combat patrol.

All of that is already gonna take me months, maybe a full year.
>>
>>96817981
If it was true then people would have used it back then, yet it's a recent thing. The term was picked up because of what it evoked and not what it meant.

I think your biggest problem here is that you kind of made the first claim and then didn’t bring receipts man
>>
>>96818496
That's because of how GW and other companies operate.
They plan a product, stocks, and a time window for it. A new army/wave fits perfectly in that.
Supporting the army is done through another wave, and for the army to get another wave it needs to go through the same process.
A new army is more appealing than another wave.

I don't need to bring receipts. The real problem is thinking I want to argue or convince with people here. I know where I am.

I am not familiar enough with them to critizise GWs work on them. I think the Admech look cool but are inferior to the Necrons and the GSC are just plain creepy. World Eaters are cool lookinig and TS are gorgeous with that Teal, that is the extent of my knowledge.

Yes. Hope you're ready to run the Avatar and 2+ Phoenix Lords though. You probably also want a Falcon. It's an incredibly blunt ans straightforward detachment that doesn't have many bells and whistles aside from the movement shenanigans every Eldar detachment has. Your games will be bloody and likely not fun if you care about winning by objectives.
