Mahou Shoujo is very familiar for a weeb.I also liked the factions in Luminary, while the world feels kinda static in CC, it would be more interesting if there were specific sects and/or named antagonists but it's 'government', 'DIMA' and bandits.I usually don't care for companions, but I think they're better in CC. But as my build is agnostic for their existence, they're just 'there' for me.I have mixed feeling about powers/methods: there was more possibilities for synergy in Luminary while I think they're more limited in interaction in CC—they're more flesehed out, sure, but you can't toy with them as much I think.All in all, CC is not bad (any cyoa that manages to make me post a build is at least good in my eyes), I just didn't find it as fun.
