Thoughts on "Bikini Armour RPG"? (posted on Tfgames)

Haven't played it yet, but took a good look at the docs linked in the game page and it looks interesting

The potion making part looks particularly cool

No clue haven’t heard of it before but with a name like that I’m sure it must be great

So what I gotta do it myself? Goddammit fine. Here’s a mechanic for Titty themed chaos.

Roll Boob: If doing something is risky, also Roll Boob. Which is a number of d6s equal to your boob rating.
— At least one 6 means you get a surprising upside, multiple 6s means it’s gone extremely well.
— At least one 1 means something goes wrong, multiple 1s means you’ve caused a disaster.
— These may or may not be boob related.
— 1s and 6s cancel each other out.
— Roll 2d6 and pick the lower if you have 0 Boob.

Boob Rating: When making your character, roll 1d6 to determine their boob rating. Higher number means bigger obviously, how big each number is exactly depends on the table. You can add or subtract one from the number you rolled.
— 0: Flat T_T
— 1: Bullyable
— 2: Modest
— 3: Big
— 4: Jealous?
— 5: Enormous
— 6: Hentai Booba
— 7: Ho-lee Jeezus!

you know i'm wonddering if it would be possible to tweak mothership just a little so you can run a ryona smut game using it or a derivative

something similar to sinsistar and fear and hunger but a bit more lewd
you could include growing monster cocks alongside getting horribly dismembered and getting fucked in tentacle walls or bleeding out kind of affair
>>
So, the anon musing about making a lewd narrative wargame gave me the idea of doing the same thing; but with the challenge of appending it to Phoenix Command. Part of that is refreshing myself on the rules for PC, and amusingly; the hand to hand combat rules are laughably broken. The gunfight rules work fine, but I have no idea what they were thinking with the hand to hand supplement. The core movement mechanic is just completely non-functional and the loop is badly constructed in such a way that a fight is just purely a game about having a bigger number than the opponent or getting luckier than them. Dunno how it's possible to make a system that complex that handles 1v3 fights better than 1 on 1s.
>>
>>96876423
Another PCCS autist? In THIS thread?
>have no idea what they were thinking with the hand to hand supplement
1: not heavily integrating it with the core combat system, that's why it's so heavily medieval-flavored
2: the best way to win a knife fight is to bring a friend. Two guys trying very hard to not get stabbed are very good at not stabbing each other.
>>
>>96876478
No, I get all that; that inherently makes sense to a degree. Like the medieval thing isn't the problem with the integration, the bigger issue is it just... doesn't tell you at all how to handle the (likely vastly different) AC counts when transitioning scales.

But what's breaking the system is primarily how movement works. Reach is useless unless you're an enormously skilled fighter because (despite the drastically reduced scale) moving backwards still costs you 3 AC like it does in the larger gunfight scale. By the time you've taken one step back, a person could have walked up to you then double set and struck you with their own weapon. Then the "recoveries and parries are interchangeable with each other" thing just makes it break apart to unrealistic degrees (IE like how recovering is equally as good as a full parry when wielding one weapon)

Then the gaps of rules like no feints, shoves, trips, beating the blade, technically no disarming or even how there's no defense penalties, despite how there's a list of offensive penalties and defensive bonuses. It just leads to a situation where the game is more interesting and functional when you run it DnD style, of a high skill individual vs a group of lower skill, less talented mobs.
>>
>>96876559
Okay, I get what you're laying down. I haven't done a H2H game in a long damned time, so your knowledge is probably fresher.
As far as wargaming goes, give the infantry squad rules in the Light Mechanized book a check. That won't run great for hand-to-hand, but it does move the playing pieces up to squad level on an 8-second turn with abstracted shooting mechanics, and you can click back into the core rules whenever things get close quarters. I've been dreaming for a while about doing a campaign where I put a significantly less autistic play group in charge of a company or battalion and make them kriegspiel it out.
>>
>>96876612
I'm personally a huge fan of the smaller skirmish scale of the core rules. But, I might actually give it a go, given the inspiration for this concept is very inspired by MENACE; with squad leaders being exceptional individuals surrounded by a bunch of monster goons they've personally sired/given birth to.

My wet dream is getting the fucking vehicles to work at the personal scale level. But having read the mechanized supplements, it just doesn't cover that at all beyond "here's how big a tank would be on the map"
>>
>>96876644
How so? The first thing the Mechanized book does is explain the time/scale conversions. Are you playing MPC by MPC without the initiative rules?
>>
>>96876704
Yeah, I never use the initiative rules. They never caught my interest and seem like they add too much book work for too little gain and realism. I suppose they would be necessary if I want to add the two together though. Since even a pintle mounted gun for something like an M113 only measures aim times in phases rather than impulses. Though that's probably one of the easier things to handle since an M2 is already statted in the core book.
>>
>>96876733
It's a critical part of going up the time scale. If you're running fireteam-level engagements, it works fine without. But for larger-scale stuff, it's a huge part of the pacing. Keep a timeline of how long it's going to take to formulate and disseminate the plan, and it goes fairly smoothly. The key to running PCCS at scale is minimizing the number of times you have to define if someone is aiming, shooting or taking cover on any given impulse.
>only measures aim times in phases
Oh, that's easy. Extrapolate from how impulses convert into MPCs: 1 AP per impulse means the action always resolves on MPC 3, dead in the middle. Therefore, any per-phase resolution should do the same: Impule 2 MPC 5 or Impulse 3 MPC 1.
>>
>>96876733
Oh no wait, I'm retarded. I forgot about status sheet 3; the bigger problems is that anything explosive only lists it's BC0 and doesn't cover things like BSHC or BC beyond the 0 hex range.
>>
>>96876756

I'll give it a shot then, I was planning on basically fireteam vs fireteam (1 squad lead and a small number of her monsters vs a handful of badguys). But the stats are so wildly different from girl to girl that it's been a bit hard to juggle impulse to impulse stuff since 1 girl has 9 AC, another has 4 and the third has 6.
>>
>>96876758
Yeah, there's references in there to MCD and DFS, but those seem to be a pair of books that never got released (or my collection is incomplete, hard to tell with LEG). My stopgap would be to find the closest available BC0 among the artillery options and utilize that table as a proxy.
>>96876771
Yeah, it's a bit messy juggling a wide array of AC values, but it improves with practice. But again, moving up as much as possible lets you resolve more phases as a block, where it's a lot more simple to keep track of.

>Yeah, there's references in there to MCD and DFS, but those seem to be a pair of books that never got released
That's correct. That, along with the air support supplement never got released. I actually have nearly every book on my machine, I'm just missing Russian Roulette; I found a mint copy on Ebay years ago but someone bought it up unfortunately. I've already figured using the closest comparable shell would be the best stopgap option.

>Moving up
I think the biggest thing it'd let me do is be able to make better use of combined arms rules in general. Hard to call down a 100 phase fire support mission when you're measuring everything in impulses.
>>
>>96876845
>Russian Roulette
I think I know the guy who bought it. I don't think he's willing to cut it up for scans, but I might be able to get photos. It's a Lock-and-Load style scenario book, not a lot of new tables, but interesting nonetheless.
>>
>>96876858
I'm mostly just interested in it to have a complete collection honestly. I already have every other book, what's one more?
>>
>>96876890
On that note, how's your spinoffs looking? Got all the licensed ones? I knew a guy who was obsessed with trying to find something called Sword's Path Glory, being the hand to hand system fleshed out to a full fantasy RPG, but he was starting to doubt if it ever existed.

I have two of the SPG books actually. I have a bunch of Rhand Morningstar Mission books, the Aliens Adventure Game and Living Steel too. The big thing I'm missing is the Lawnmower Man RPG I believe.
>>
>>96878057
You wouldn't believe me if I told you I just picked it up earlier this month from another anon around here. Trade ya?

>>
>>96878835
Absolutely based
https://files.catbox.moe/k7p1vi.pdf
https://files.catbox.moe/gjy5pc.pdf

Here's the two SPG books anon, from some research it seems these two are the only ones that even got published. 3 and 4 were planned to be a magic book and monster manual respectively but they never made it to print. SPG's combat system (book 1) is more or less a crude version of the later PCH2H system. It uses a lot of the same concepts, just with more arithmetic instead of tables.

Now I think all I need is the Dracula RPG and Russian Roulette and my collection will be complete.
>>
>>96879079
Lawnmower Man got my attention for having damage blocks for everyday vehicles, definitely something worth scraping in there. Also remember to check out the Aliens Board Game. It actually predates the Adventure Game, and is probably how he got the green light for it, because it's a pre-calculated PCCS rounded to work on a d10, and has some of the finest attention to detail autism I've ever seen. There's a module on the Tabletop Sim workshop and a Flash adaptation floating around out there.

As a mothership fan I have wondered that myself. Considering how often your rolls end badly at the very least it does lend itself as a system where bad things happen to you often which is great as a corruption lover. Would probably have to create your own entire bestiary, etc for it though as it’s own doesn’t really fit
>>
>>96864361
The op pic keeps me wondering, how can or should we mechanically incentivize female characters to go nopan? Any lewd rpgs that have already solved this problem?
>>
>>96885955
Seduction bonuses? Arbitrary improvements to AC/Defense rolls? More likely to be raped instead of killed? Nopan is one of those things where it's kind of such a small detail that it's better to not bother to mechanically incentivize it. You could probably come up with some things, but they're all gonna be super niche and specific like
"If a character is wearing a skirt or similar garment where it's possible to see up their clothes, whenever they perform an acrobatic movement, attack that would expose their groin (IE an axe kick) or if opponents are beneath them they receive [arbitrary bonus] to their actions"
