Something I never understood about the whole caster vs martial discussion is why do people think that casters are always going to be combat focused, or that they will know magic that will protect them or be able to fight back? Even if you have a caster who can see threats to their life using, say, divination… …how does this give the diviner the ability to actually fight back? It doesn’t. They just know things. What if a caster’s magic is just a really good way of healing someone, or weaving a fantastical product? A product won’t necessarily be able to defend you, or be used offensively…Meanwhile martials are *meant to fight* from the get-go… Casters aren’t guaranteed to know spells capable of killing people. Some just talk to the spirits. Whether those spirits have your back is another matter entirely. My point is, yeah, a caster will be able to truly annihilate your ass, if that’s what the magic is meant to do. But to assume that magic can always do that is weird. It may even be forbidden and safeguarded. This is also why spell liars are annoying. Do you really want wizards capable of doing literally everything and anything?

Those artificial nerves will also be what I connect to external tech to control it. After I get the sub-dermal weave, artificial nerves and my sensors are getting me detailed information on external RE, I'll focus on implants meant to absorb external RE and process it into power which should work well with Perfect Conduit. To support that I'll be making RE storage implants. I think that should be stuff I do just before the Steel Carapace, with most of it having to be somewhat limited before I get that. After the Steel Carapace I think I'll focus a bit more on some detachable things, such as additional limbs and a tail.Other than that I'll include some classic implanted/extendable blades, and probably sci-fi guns that are based upon talismans.
