>>97019361>I bet there's a degree of narcissism of young designers wanting to outdo the old ones by pushing more of their personality onto old sculpts that didn't need it,They're not getting to, the new sculpts and art are as dull as dishwater and young designers get minimal input because everything is micromanaged to all fuck by marketing and other petty management. It's why we're seeing so many absolutely lazy reused elements, poses and concepts just endlessly recycled despite the lack of technical and financial limitations of the old days that used to enforce such things (and then designers had to work around to make interesting). Now it's quick and easy to just do 'what works' again rather than try to make something good that might have character.
I need to get my arse in gear for next year's Oldhammer events
What's this? I was told there are no Lizardmen in 40k.

>>97021346Oh, wrong picture.
>>97021357If you're trying to get hold of them in the modern day there's a couple of recreation/on the same theme type ranges out there, Diehard miniatures are one that pops to mind (https://diehardminiatures.com/product-category/eru-kin/), because the originals are rare as hens teeth.Pretty sure at least a couple of the bods here though >>97020310 is from crooked dice's Colony 87 range (which are great stuff, and are highly recommend, though very much not 'heroic' in proportions, it's a ton of fantastic character pieces you can use to for giving yourself variety and scenario ideas, at the very least they make for more interesting objective markers). The originals were not the most popular of ranges, very much an afterthought, leftover bit of WHFB converting stuff, that'd also be dumped off quickly as 4th edition WHFB got rid of Slann and they didn't reemerge as the much better Lizardmen until 5th edition. Got a real fondness for those 5th edition lizards, someone else here had the idea of going "what if I gave one a gun?" and I kinda love it, that's some real oldest oldhammer mindset going on there of just fill out the gang with whatever plus spare guns.
does anyone have the 3rd Edition Rulebook pdf?
Were Dark Angels always injuns? I read a pretty neat comic about a Native American DA terminator slaying a genestealer cult on his homeworld. It was very Turok-like and I was very confused.
