>>97105453Got myself a Coftyr Command box for Quar and an "Orc"starter box for Argatoria. Never painted 10mm models before. I kind of hyped.Old Coftyr squad repost.
>>97105453>>97105498Love these little guys. I don't know a single person that would ever play it though.
>>97105504Play?
>>97105525It's when you pick them up and zoom them around making airplane noises.
>>97105453No, not for Christmas specifically. I ordered some italeri bunkers and a tablecloth, along with the 2nd edition of dragon rampant. Hope I'll be able to do some fantasy wargaming with my son too. What are you working on now? I've this vision of a fantasy barbarian army based on victrix models. I also ordered some conquest old Dominion Varangians because I think they'll make for neat monstrous infantry for 28mm games.
>>97105453Played Xenos Rampant for the first time at the weekend. Very fun system once you get the rules going, heavy infantry felt a little underpowered though. Pic is of my beserkers swarming said heavies in a tower>tqMaybe my trench crusade mini pre order that was meant to arrive in september will come soon
>>97105764Yeah, there's no difference in firepower between heavy and light infantry, except heavies are more consistent with it. In my experience heavy weapons are more effective than AP weapons, though it might be because I'm typically firing at elite infantry.
Who makes GW style 25 bases? I don't feel like paying them at gold priceShould I just get them from Aliexpress?
>>97105958You can get the exact same ones on amazon.
>>97105958Legit, Citadel as you say, or a lot of miniature companies use D&G Ltd who make bases very similar to GW's 25mm slottas but the bevel is very very slightly different. The Chinese ones with just a small rough circle in the underside like my pic, need a little filing around the bottom rim normally.I use Wargame Base World and get 100 bags of 25mm, 28.5mm, 32mm, 40mm roundsI have basing autism so have thought a lot about it. Other people just do whatever and paint way more stuff than I.
>>97105958aliexpress has them.I recall that a few years ago I bough over a 500 of them for like 10 dollars including shipping.
>>97105958GW bases resist paint stripper quite well, Chinese ebay bases start turning to goop within hours.
Painted up some mechs for MAC Attack. I’ve really been enjoying the ruleset. It scratches the big robot itch in a very tight, efficient game and even includes some infantry/vehicle/artillery options. The main issue we have is the random objective system. While I totally support random objectives to keep the game fresh and to encourage well-balanced lists, you can roll yourself into a basically impossible win condition pretty easily. You designate your mechs into squads before generating deployment/objectives. If you happen to have 1 mech in Squad A, and your objective is to get one mech from Squad A across the entire table, then your opponent can basically ignore their objective and just thrash your one mech to win by default. It’s fun to play tough games, but we’ve had more than a few of them basically decided before deployment.Still, it does nearly everything I want a big robot game to do without being a slog. Would recommend.
What models should I use to represent mercenaries/renegade Germans hunting artifacts in Central Asia between the wars? General stereotype here can be the leader. WW1 Germans mixed with White Russians and Chinese warlord troops?
>>97105504I can't stand what quar look like. I saw a helmetless model and it looked slightly better with it's eyes exposed.
>OPR releases a rules tweek >Your army lists are all fucked at once for several different game systems >This happens every few weeks I don't like it
>>97107849This is why rulesets that only get updated once every 10+ years are the best ones.
>>97107849OPR and GW games with their constant tinkering can suck a fat one tbqh
>>97107849I hear the community has gone to complete shit
>>97107927Tell me more, I'm curious
>>97107849Yeah, not happy at all that my main list is suddenly fucking skewed. 3.0 was not nearly this bad outside of the scheduled "patches".>>97107927Apparently the Discord is a tourneyfag echo chamber demanding everything either is generic and equally the same, or demanding their pet armies buffed to hell. The subreddit has a lot of complaints, the Telegram group is mostly quiet and the local scene is grim.
>>97107944>tourneyfag echo chamberWeird, the people who got me into OPR are "28 community" players who are all the biggest narrativefags alive. I like it because I can use my GW models/lore (sorry /awg/!) with a much more permissive ruleset that seems amenable to conversions and weird equipment choices and such. I can see tourney """"people"""" liking the simplicity, but they shouldn't be catered to imo, or you lose soul quick.
>>97107939>>97107927Yeah please expand I read on the specialist thread that they started adding lore to OPR fucking lol and this lore is some how related to female custodes for some fucking reason?
Finished up those zone raiders for raiding zones. Debating what team to use them as exactly, but leaning reclaimers for the militant focus and banner rules.
>>97107944>>97107991discords ruin everything they touchand the people that sit and circlejerk in them all day should be launched into space to save the rest of us
>>97105958>Should I just get them from Aliexpress?Of course. Or Temu.>>97105977Its the ones from Aliexpress + tip for Amazon + markup for the reseller. (same with the ones on ebay). If Aliexpress is not am option, then yes. Otherwise you'd be an idiot to buy from a middleman and pay him too.
>>97108184Nice Grineer.
>>97107991Tell that to the dude(s) in charge. They seem determined to listen to the Discord and tourney players only, despite most people enjoying the game for letting them use their collections and the fact that the game has players active the entire match.Narrative OPR is peak, but everything is turning more and more into modern 40k from what I've seen in my own and games I watched. >>97108174The "lore" is pretty bad. OPR is doing this thing where they are doing most armies/forces as 99-100% complete opposites to GW lore, not sure if for legal reasons or just because the "lore" writers are unimaginative, but it is beginning to leak into the actual games, with OPR "Lore" changing armies - like Dwarves in Fantasy. >>97108186No argument there.
>>97108247Why the fuck would you listen to tournamentfags. Specially when you are not selling them models and your rules are "free"What is this insanity?!
>>97108198Damn straight, anon.
>>97108265I wish I could tell you why. I have a weird suspicion that there will be a new push for OPR minis to be used exclusively more and more in the future. Feels like OPR is trying to sprint to a bad ending by doing everything possibly wrong for the game and community.
>>97108184Sick work anon, I spy the Alternative Armies Cyborg, he's a chunky boy
>>97108184really great jobI really enjoyed watching the progress of these
>>97108282Basically what has happened with Kings of War, which is now basically the UK's equivalent of Warmahordes but with large square bases
>>97108331According to the multiple OPR Rangers in my local community and greater region, there is a big push for an "OPR Ecosystem" that has been the goal ever since the new plastic starter box succeeded. OPR has hit a weird point where it is no longer alt-GW but suddenly wants to be a new and unique thing that is monetizable.
>>97108379The cool thing about OPR was the setting and model agnostic thing.Remove that and you are kind of missing the point of OPR.God I'm getting old, I just want to buy a product and for the company to stop messing with it after I buy it for fuck sake.
>>97108379>no longer alt-GW but suddenly wants to be [regular GW]
>>97108410The setting was great because it was so vague that you could /yourdudes/ any way you wanted. Now it is being forced into either GW cloned lore or the absolute opposite, anti-GW lore for copyright and legal reasons. Model agnostic is great, but the army updates dropping tons of units time and time again is getting old for many people.
>>97107667They're just lil wormy guys.
>>97108580I found a random old metal miniature of Worm Hitler on eBay last night.
>>97108435>dropping tons of unitsAre they getting outright deleted? Insane. You could build a list and not have it be valid by the time you're done. Man, there's a reason I love dead rulesets.
>>97108801One of the reason why group dropped current 40k, move to OPR and then went back to 40k 3rd/4th since well we already had the armies.Mother fuckers changed rules faster than we had time to build, paint and play with our current armies.
this is such insane echo-chamber bullshit, it has pushed me over the edge to actually make a post>>97107849OPR has always made two updates when a new edition is released, the initial edition push, and then a month later a patch to fix any issues with the books/calculator, and after that it stays frozen for an entire year>>97107944the developers literally added a shitton of new rules and upgrades to make everything less generic and equally the same, which goes against what the tourneyfags want, and is pushing the game to be more narrative than ever>>97107991don't listen to that raging faggot, OPR is still very much a narrative game, he's just on some fucking irate rant>>97108247when a new army is released they change the names of a few units, and usually add more new units, so the idea of "OPR lore changing armies" as a bad thing is insane. also the developers have already stated that they're working on a way to strip away all the OPR lore names for faggot like you who flip their shit when "stone golem" is renamed to "coal golem"
>>97108282there is nothing about OPR minis being used exclusively more, and they actually keep adding more and more systems to the custom builder so people can be even more inventive with using their own minis. again, you're a faggot>>97108379"OPR ecosystem" - what the fuck does that even mean? your statement makes even less sense when you consider that the new plastic box was literally funded just a month ago and there has been no push for anything>>97108435what units were dropped time and time again? what the fuck are you talking about? they literally added half a dozen new units with the latest edition. again, incredibly faggoted>>97108801nothing like that is happening, this guy is just retardedgod I miss the days when /awg/ was just a bunch of regular fa/tg/uys having fun, instead of idiots treating it like their personal reddit blog
>>97108184very cool the robed guys are pig iron, right? I was really considering nabbing some of them on their last sale
>>97108580I thought they were just World War Wombles.
Do I believe the anti-OPR sperg or the OPR sperg now?
>>97109005I am OPR-sperg. anti-OPR sperg is probably just a faggot who doesn't like change or the idea that OPR is successful now, so he's just making shit up. everything that I am stating are actual verifiable facts by contrast. some people just have a personal vendetta against OPR, and whilst I understand not liking the system, I think it's retarded to just come on here and lie out of boredom or whatever
>>97107849That's why I only play games where the rules update when I have a new book in my hands.
>>97109005Believe is nobody but yourself.
>>97107868I've never seen these sculpts look good before, well done anon.
>>97109005>>97109141Believe in me when I believe in yourself!
This Italian motherfucker has been gouging people on eBay with his trove of rare wz minis since last year at least. This seems to only be a recast of a forge world original but look at the price. All his shit's overpriced like this. What a puto penne bastardo.
>>97109525Why would anyone pay for this garbage? The quality is so shit and design so messy that you could just make this yourself using milliput or something.
>>97108962>>97108974Whoa! Sounds like they’re having an O-P-Argument!
>>97109604Get in the fucking van, Carlos.>>97108410>>97108435This is my biggest gripe with OPR, that it have turned into 40k/AoS with just the serial number filed off. I don't want to ape GW factions when building my army.>TQBought a pile of Warpath stuff at 50% off during Black Friday. Going to use it with Xenos Rampant.
>>97109736>turned intoDidn't it start out as quite literally "one page Warhammer" and genericise later for legal reasons? If anything they're getting more agnostic.
>>97108980Aye, that'd be them. Hoping to get something going in the next couple months after some other /awg/ games I'm in wrap up/wind down.
>>97108331>Basically what has happened with Kings of WarCan I get a more detailed rundown on what has happened to Kings of War/the Kings of War community?
>>97108331New edition of KoW that popular?
>>97110082While not who you were replying to, they deleted a sizable chunk of most armies. Metal stuff is gone shop-wide. Prices are close to GW now as well.
>>97110215>they deleted a sizable chunk of most armiesPerhaps it is just them updating models?>metal stuff is gone shop-wideI am not surprised as metal has gone up in price if I recall correctly.>prices are close to GW now as wellThat's very disappointing. Is it inevitable that all alternative producers of minis eventually reach GW tier pricing?
>>97110285Not him nor KoW player, but updating models plays part in it, but not their main motivator as they are also combining armies into a more digestible and marketable sizes as part of their new edition launch. For example they had free dwarves and main dwarves as separate armies, which used almost entirely same model range, and combined them into just dwarves. Or their dark elf proxy and nightstalkers combined into one army instead of simply being allies that freely taken units from each other. >Is it inevitable that all alternative producers of minis eventually reach GW tier pricing?Seems like it, unless people want to just run at a loss or operate out of their basement for the love of the hobby.
>>97105453>alternative war gamesmore like alternative whore games.

>>97106996>If you happen to have 1 mech in Squad A, and your objective is to get one mech from Squad A across the entire table, then your opponent can basically ignore their objective and just thrash your one mech to win by default. It’s fun to play tough games, but we’ve had more than a few of them basically decided before deployment.Consider checking out Heavy Gear. It uses a "point buy" system for objectives. Where you need a certain amount of them depending on the size of the battle and get Victory Points for each of them. You need to both fulfill your own objectives and stop the opponent from doing his - it's entirely possible for both sides to not get a single VP or get all VP and still end in a draw.
>>97105453Hey, I'm painting these guys up now. Quar related, has anyone ordered the Coftyran tractor from WGA? Quar is so fucking charming, I want to collect all of the upcoming armies.
>>97107575Hitler took over in 33, and the German army uniforms rolled out around 36. So world war I uniforms would be the standard unless you're going for late interwar era. I guess it depends on whether you want them to be Germans or Nazi Germans.
>>97109525It works because retards are paying those prices.
>>97110682Does it though? There are plenty of miniatures listed that are at prices no sane person will pay for that sit on ebay for years unbought.

>>97110471Cool, thanks. I’ll take a look at it.
>>97110689It seems so. I found that ugly overpriced transport from the pic above, and that very seller from italy sold 8 Warzone items in the last month, among them another (in my opinion) overpriced vehicle.Sorry for the german text on the screenshot, i was too lazy to switch to a different language ebay. I have no clue if some of his listings are online for years already, or if he re-enters new recasts whenever he sells something but apparently he is selling some (!) stuff, for prices that are way too high.
>>97111838It was even less defined, which is why I personally enjoyed it. You could play Havoc forces that were literally Battle Brothers who were separated from their fleet/detachments who went rogue and formed their own backwater empires. Not explicitly evil or cartoonishly bad, just dudes making the best of being lost in a new sector of space. Alien Hives are intelligent bug colonies/hives where everyone and everything can be sentient, instead of ravenous Tyranid-like menaces. I personally enjoyed 1-2e AoS because of it being similar, yes.
>>97112939That armored bauhaus car was never put into production and is featured well painted in the old rules manuals so 160 euros seems absolutely fair for warzone fans. The 500 euro necrotech transport is highway robbery though. Fucking spaghetti.

I FOMOA bought 120 modern zombie figures that were on sale for 60~ bucks to pair with my ultra moderns to play zombie apocalypse games. Any recommended wargames? Preferably something with an L4D feel, huge hordes, small survivor teams, the occasional "special zombie" that spawn in and create chaos with disabling abilities, giant strength/durability, or other special abilities
>>97114106I'm aware of County Road Z (NB: "county" not "country") and Last Days Zombie Apocalypse. No idea if either is good.
>>97111570Sounds awesome actually. Wonder how much rent-a-cosplayers go for these days when it comes to tabletop.
>>97112939To be clear, broski, I agree 100% that's overpriced for anyone just wanting a WW1 armored car they can sci fi up if need be.
>>97114106>>97114304There's a supplement that adds L4D special zombies to LD:ZA in the first couple issues of Blaster mag. Pair that up with the solo/co-op rules in the Seasons supplement, you'll get your horde game. I've also fooled around with a larger extraction-style game set up on a couple of picnic tables. I'm on mobile at a family party but I'll post them on Monday.>other stuffThe Mantic game is irretrievably designed for a very small table and uses a few gimmick items that make it hard to convert. There's an AI-driven free intro scenario for This is Not a Test that uses tokens to activate and create the zombies. It'd be really easy to stat up extra Zeds7ombieTV is dated but functional, built on the first edition of 7TV. Not great for extraction, okay for hording it up.
I played 2nd ed WarmaHordesThought the game full died but I heard they did an endtimes and then completely remade the entire model range and things are a bit wonky now. Would someone give me a surviving faction rundown? I used to play khador/protectorate/Legion including a colossal and glancing at the models available its like everythings fucking gone or changed in a way that lost a lot of its personality. Am I completely invalidated with my collection? whats the deal
>>97117182>Am I completely invalidated with my collection?Basically, yes. New IP owners want to make old stuff unusable in the new edition(s, provided they make it that far.) Real shame.
>>97117299They are literally nerfing mk4 faction to bring them back down to mk3 faction level, anon. >>97117182I am guessing you're looking at prime, which are basically theme lists for tournaments. Just use legacy/unlimited like a normal person. And yes some stuff did get personality cut and neutered, other stuff got improved and more faithful to what the model is suppose to be.
>>97117182All the old stuff is Legacy now. They have legal armies in the competitive scene and everything has full rules, but we're not seeing anything new for them, and the old molds are gone. The newer limited factions that came out in MK3 are being released digitally, since most of those sculpts were CAD. And they are getting new stuff; Cephalyx just got a rework with something like 7 or 8 new things added to the army. The current timeline is 15-20 years into the future, after the Infernals came to collect the could Thamar promised them. Khador, Cygnar, Rhuul, Ord, and Lleal are still there. The Protectorate fell apart, due to most of their people running away to Zuu or through the Cyriss' stargate to escape the Infernals. The Trollkin went south to a peninsula between the Iron Kingdoms and Zuu. Skorne teamed up with Ios for a bit, but then Ios betrayed them and kicked their asses back across the desert. Circle is happy with how things are, now that civilization was hit hard by the Claiming. Everblight got out "Just as planned" by the twins, who broke off and made their own faction with robo-dragons and blackjack. And it turns out Goreshade's idea of killing the last of the elven gods to free the elves lead to Ios exploding.
>>97117347Just to keep in mind, Protectorate itself still exists and are getting an army next year. But they did lose good portion of their territory and suffered a schism with (as an exile) Feora currently running around the wastes with her army; burning tribals alive who refuse to join her campaign while looting everything in sight. We're yet to see what lore the main faction has for MK4, given it's about 10 years since infernals, but they still have their leadership and warjack production running at full capacity.
>>97117182>>97117347Right now, the set up is each faction is made up of smaller army lists that are self-contained, since the theoretical set up was going to be you have Cadres that work for different armies. In practice, It worked like that for Cygnar, and everything else is wonky.Current factions are Cygnar, Khador, Orgoth, the Kingdom of Eternal Dusk, the Southern Troll Kriels, Crys, and the Khymaera.Cygnar has 2 armies currently; the Storm legion, which is an advancement of the Storm Knights, and the Gravediggers, which is Trenchers turned into paratroopers. They also have the Storm Forge Cadre, which bring Storm Mages to both armies.Khador also has 2 armies; Winter Korps, which is a more advanced Winter Guard, and Old Umbrey, a Fury army of Old Witch followers and werewolves.Orgoth is back, in Warmachine form! Orgoth has one, with a second known. Their army is the initial sea raiders leading the invasion. All that's known about the second one is that it'll be Fury based.Dusk is what happened to Ios. All the Soulless survived, and any souled elves that survived the explosion became Vampires. Their released army is House Kallyss, with a Fury based army coming next year, with Eldritch riding giant bats. The Southern Kriels are Fury based and have a second army up next. The released army is the Brinebloods, pirates that got bored and started raiding the north, and the upcoming Kithguard are Vietnam trolls fighting the Orgoth and Cryx.Cryx got any army because people kept asking for one, which is one of the first wrenches thrown into the planned release order. It focus on the thralls and necrotech side of the faction.Khymaera is the touchy subject one, since it replaces Everblight. Saeryn used Cyriss magic to break her and Rhyas' shards of Anthanc from EB's control. A side effect was imbuing it with some clockwork magic, so her dragonspawn are biomechanical. They are Fury based, and only one army is known so far.
>>97117382Yeah, they are pulling a Cryx, where everyone has been bugging them so hard about it, they had to cave in and revisit them sooner than they wanted.I know the joke is Zuu dinos, but I honestly hope that we see Feora coming back with a zealot crusade to try and claim the weakened Protectorate.
>>97117441Logically it makes sense that Menoth is going to get one Protectorate Army and one Feora Army. I don't see them even doing a cadre for Zuu menites with how hostile they've been to the dino meme.
>>97117450I wouldn't fully discount Zuu Menites, but yeah, we're not getting dinos.
>>97117299>>97117345>>97117347Thank you for your answers everyone. I've looked at the range again and took a look at the new stuff. It sounds like I'm half fucked/ half gotta not give a fuck since my protectorate and legion are semi murdered factions. I'm kinda butthurt that they kept crucible guard and whatever dark operations is but not CoC/LoS(i guess lore but ffs) the Khymaera models look like absolute dogshit and are a terrible evolution of legion imo. I'm not sure if i love dusk house or not. They're maybe cutting through the weird etsy style they've given everything but only a little bit. They have my interest perhaps the most out of new stuff but its a rough introCryx and cygnar seem like they came out okay model wise but losing some of their old flair by becoming overdesigned. Khador. I loved khador and circle but old umbrey feels....like nothing I want from either faction. winter guard looks pretty good. the AC-2 Bison looks fucking retarded and i love it but they absolutely massacred my man-o-war's. Its just not the sameFeels like overall the game is in a rough spot that could be at least decent if you have a local group of friends who enjoy the game. Its kinda like how I LOVED warhammer fantasy but end times left such a sour note that its impossible to come back to it.
>>97117488CoC are the next army being available through STLs after Farrow. They been weird with the lore for these, like they added justification for why Crucible is not only around in their current state but also why the special characters, who should be dead, are somehow not dead. I am not a fan of this lore, I don't see why they can't just bring them back rulewise and leave it at that.
>>97117488I mean, if you still have your stuff, it all still has rules. And not neutered post-End Times AoS style rules, pretty much what they were in MK3, just adjusted for the new edition. That's the difference between End Times and the move from Mk3 to 4; MK4 is still Warmachine, just another edition of it. End Times threw everything out.I will agree, a lot of new models do have an over-designed issue, but they are moving away from the weird sci-fi edge early MK4 stuff had. Also, look up non-studio scheme paint jobs of Orgoth and Dusk before judging them. Fuck, do they look miles better when not slapped in NMM or neon yellow lights everywhere. I've seen someone doing Dusk in a metallic bronze scheme on DakkaDakka, and it looks 100x better.
>>97117488>>97117512Also, based on the art piece shown, Dusk's next army, Fane of Nyrro, should look more like Hazaroth, since they are an old school eldritch cult that predates Ios exploding.
Have you witnessed the Truth of Dagon yet?
Starcraft might actually be the first tabletop game to come out in a long time that I'm super hyped for. Please be good, I need something to look forward to in my life :(
>>97118605How big are the models?Because if they are huge they might have fuck themselves. At least I like using random models for other games and when the scales are too different it sucks.
>>97118802They are big. Primaris size for standard infantry in the terran faction. I adore how chunky they're going to be since Starcraft's aesthetic is XBOX HUAGE at all times.
>>97118605Does it have reinforcement mechanics? That was probaly the one interesting thing in that Privateer Press scifi game.
>>97118890If I have to buy/make new terrain just to fit the XBOX HUAGE scale then they can go fuck themselves. No buy. Simple as.
>>97119344>terrain>fitting the scaleYou're cute
>>97119344I don't care, anon.>>97119044Yeah
>>97119344There will be some terrain in the starter box.
>>97120469If it takes off, I wouldn't be surprised to see a bunch of STL files popping up for SC style terrain. There's going to be some turbo-nerds that'll want to fully recreate the game experience.
I honestly like the konflict 47 americans, they look like better cadians than new cadians
>>97121182I cant take the games asthetic seriously after seeing the japanese stuff. Also the were wolves and batmen.
Finally done with both the generic nexuses and the Reborn Coven.
>>97121222
>>97117299>New IP owners want to make old stuff unusableSteamforged Games gladly fucking over gamers at the behest of the accountants?Say it ain't so!
>>97121601'Fraid so.
>>97111459>I lied, there are no Space Marines>Now pick your set of freaky little worm guys
>>97122596>can't you just rape me?
>>97122606>no. >it plays obscure wargames with me or it gets the hose again.
>>97122606>Haha no, but you do have to eat all of the eggs
Now that the dust has settled, what do you think of the second edition of This is Not a Test?
>>97122983Dunno. Haven't *TESTED* it yet.
>>97122596>>97110514Paf Braed!
>>97111567>At least a few wished it was just paid sexThat's heartbreaking. I've considered similar solutions in the past, but a bit of shared enjoyment is necessary for miniatures games
>>97119044iirc, players initially field 60% of their total armies, then at intervals they can deploy more. id be more interested if it was based on brood war
>>97123101xddd
>>97121182People forget that the warhammer 40k line is supposed to be composed of leftover historicals, fantasy and judge dredd minis. Especially the newer modelers.
>>97123444They've access to the games, comics, manga and novels and they've already said they'll be expanding well beyond SC2 so we can expect Broodwar era stuff.I, for one, can't wait for a UED release!
How was your last game /awg/? I finally bought a cheap fabric cloth for my floor table, as most of the fancier gaming mats were surprisingly expensive and too small for my liking. I realized I had played the morale rules wrong in Xenos rampant. Units in cover do not fall back and morale tests need to be taken every time hits are taken during shooting, even if no casualties are incurred.
>>97124515>How was your last game /awg/?A fun three-way in Space Weirdos, but I feel we made a mistake with deployment/objectives/board size, so lessons learned for next time.I'm also planning to try Xenos Rampant, just gotta get some terrain done and put finishing touches on two armies.
I want to get into ASOAIF game, what's the state of it?I know that CMON is in deep shit but I see that stocks of it are always good, maybe a second edition or a change of ownership?
>>97124298Nice board, anon. I particularly like those trees, did you buy them or make them? There are a few that seem quite big
>>97119423This is a good point. Most terrain looks okay to us, because we are used to shittily proportioned terrain. People aren't playing with 1-2 foot tall trees or peasant houses that are 4"x 14".
>>97124302was never a fan of anything beyond brood war, and since almost everyone is bad at the pc games i can only assume a surprising amount of people will enjoy this game
Onepage rules question:>Ambush: May be set aside before deployment. At the start of any round after the first, may be deployed anywhere over 9” away from enemy units. Players alternate in placing Ambush units, starting with the player that activates next. Units that deploy via Ambush can’t seize or contest objectives on the round they deploy.>Fanatic: after this model is deployed, it may be placed anywhere fully within nine inches of its position So can soul-snatchers, who have both rules, just immediately deploy basically JUST outside melee range of the enemy models? Seems like a nightmare for fighting any shooty army. I'm building a couple warbands to introduce my normie stoner retard friends to something simple and palatable. Will I regret having soul snatchers as one of the warbands?
>>97126212They can, yes. Ambushers drop and once all ambush units for all players are down, you would get your Fanatic free reposition.
>>97125693>and since almost everyone is bad at the pc games i can only assume a surprising amount of people will enjoy this gameWtf is that even meant to mean retard?
Reading all the decade-long drama about Hasslefree, why the fuck were people still placing orders or doing bloody Kickstarters by them?????It's like buying from Black Tree UK. I'd rather just buy from companies I don't have to email for 6 months for my miniatures.
>>97126306its dangerous to go alone
2.12am... going back for more ̶o̶l̶i̶v̶e̶s̶ £2 Lightyear ships
>>97127072This anon is singlehandedly clearing the remaining global stock of Lightyear ships
>>97127072>nearly 2026>these things are still in clearanceThis has to be one of the biggest ever mechanizing blunders, in terms of cost.
>>97124647So far there's been no negative news and they release a new faction recently. You planning to do Lannisters?
Shadowdeep, Brutality, and Fallout WW have ai behavior systems I've seen recommended here. Are there any others which people particularly enjoy?
Car done, trailer needs finished up>>97124515sweet mat! Where and how much? I was eyeing up some £2 textured wallpaper the other day but couldn't be bothered cycling it home. Wish I got it now. It was perfect for desert.I like your craters too. I need to build some vertical terrain real bad.
>>97118890>Starcraft's aesthetic is XBOX HUAGE at all times. They should have kept the vidya scaling but scaled it down for maximum sc2 blobbing.
>>97127490Thanks. The mat was just a piece of jute cloth I bought from allegro.pl, a polish e-commerce site, paid about 30 złotys+shipping, so approximately 8 dollars. The craters I made from extra MDF bases I had lying around. I made the crater shapes from aluminium foil, filled them with putty and covered them with sand. Pretty easy terrain to do. Also easy to store as they're stackable.
>>97118059these are cool whats the source?
>>97127595https://ttcombat.com/collections/carnevale/products/the-scions-of-dagon
>>97127575You somewhere in Silesia ?
>>97127375Yeah either that or Bolton
>>97128227I'd do Lannisters due to simply being a more base stat-line faction with most releases for it, granted I am not sure how Bolton as non-neutral faction play.
>>97127524It's still fucking hilarious to me that those tiny dropships can carry so many infantry. They're literally flying clown-cars.
>>97127734Upper Silesia, yes.
>>97129800Is your fridge running?
>>97129800Same desu, in Gliwice.Good to know there are some players interested in unusual games relatively nearby.
