For skills or companions you would like to see represented as well, multi-classing is going to be, to an extent, built into the framework.

Poison, acid, slimes, and for gear-users and deviants, lubricant all falls under it, whereas Ink is largely scholarly and has the cephalopod association, which wouldn't be much use for the survival-heavy situation you're in.That's a good point, but maybe replace it with poison or acid then?
