>>97171940>TQ
>>97171940I'm like 1 spearhead deep so nothing really big.If we're just making up bigass models that will (or honestly should) never happen I'd like to see the idoneth whale, or maybe a seraphon thunder lizard.
>>97171940>What impractically big model would you hypothetically like to see for your army?
>>97171940That's not your model
>>97171955or
>>97171940>TQthis guy, he's for my tsons but hey it's an aos model too
>>97171940>TQProbably my Soul Grinder, I was not prepared for how FUCKHUGE this model was. I love 'em.
Anyone tried these? I think combining the DoK with the Deepkin sounds fun AF because it means you can play a more lore-accurate Har Kuron force.
>>97171940I'd like a giant Squig Gobba, with a haphazard structure surrounding it for feeding it and surveying the damage. Maybe with small trebuchets too, sort of like a Moonclan Cogfort in concept
>>97171988>Deepkin teaming up with the Realm-LordsThat's...gotta be awkward...
>>97171988Har Kuron doesn't host IDK, that was a situational alliance. Should've been picrel too
>>97171995>Har Kuron doesn't host IDK, that was a situational alliance.I know, but when I'm fighting my friend's CoS I can now have DoK and Deepkin fighting together and theme it around the annexation of Anvilgard. Even after Har Kuron rose they still fought together in the surrounding lands for a while to clear it of any resistance.
>>97171958man I wish
>>97172001>theme it aroundBased and Lorepilled anon.
>>97171994No doubt, but they had coalition rules last edition.>>97171995There was a contingent of IDK who headquartered under the city harbor after the coup. Although they may have fucked off in the decades since.
>>97172001>theme it around the annexation of Anvilgard.Be sure to paint 'em up as the Hagg Nar Sect DoK and Ionrach Enclave since those were the factions involved in said attack.
>>97172001You could theme it on Urama Othal instead, the settlement built on top of Harrowdeep. That city is dead, but your dudes might have been a patrol or scouting force that spent time away from the city. Then they might have turned into reavers to take care of themselves, so you get a fluffy reason to fight anyone and everyone.
Turns out they look good in mint green.
>>97172083I don't actually hate it, huh...
>>97172083eh...
>>97172083like poetry

>>97172127>The legion grows.
>>97172148Kek, how long has it been since legion anon posted, i hope he likes HoH.
>>97172148To ever think I would miss him
>>97172163I don't think I've seen his posts since 2e. I do hope he's happy with the Helsmiths.
>>97172181On a similar note I wonder if the soonposter would be happy with settra back. How long can a bot like that go on without any human input you think?
>>97172198it's running on a raspberry pi sitting in a corner of his parent's garage they never look at. It'll end when they kick the bucket presuming the new homeowners notice it but I doubt it
Will you be swallowing the Kurnothi pill when they release? I will.
>>97172269absolutely not, I just hope they come out as soon as possible so we can stop talking about them forever exactly like we did with chorfs
>>97172269If they get fauns and aelves, yeah. I like the centaurs but the least of the lot tbhon
>>97172269I mean I'd rather have them join CoS to a) fill the vacancy left by Wanderers, b) provide the utility of light cavalry that the army is currently lacking, and c) add some freakshit back into the range.
>>97172269Definitely.
>>97172296>chaining elves to city shitters fuck off back to TGA
>>97172322Fuck off back to /wfg/ Aelves were a part of CoS since launch pretty much given cities launched a year in and the fluff was always cosmopolitan azyrites
>>97172322You can take the new one in CoS just as the last one could? They've always been a bridge between Sylvaneth and Humans because everything else is alien. The first piece of lit they got was of a human in a tribe of wanderers alongside them. They'll undoubtedly be Sylvaneth but they should have a RoR for CoS and in an ideal world both keywords or a coalition trait.
>>97172296I wouldnt mind if they could join via a unique army of renown for cities. Sylvaneth should be a bigger army than empire or even chaos though.
>>97172333>Aelves were a part of CoS since launchwhich is why the new cos has all those new elves, right?before the dawnbringers redesign cos wasn't an actual army, it was a garbage bin for all the shit gw had to carry along but didn't want to support properly, and now that cities actually get to be an army elves are not and will never be in the pictureso fuck off with your gay fanfiction of what cities of sigmar should be now
>>97172322There are three standalone elf armies as is. Wood elves were grouped with the cities since Firestorm, they were part of the CoS faction identity since first edition. And they might actually have some utility there.
>>97172369>which is why the new cos has all those new elves, right?well they're keeping dark (a)elves in the book till next edition.
>>97172361>You can take the new one in CoS just as the last one could? They've always been a bridge between Sylvaneth and Humans because everything else is alienproper sylvaneth and cities have closer relations normally than cities and wanderers sylvaneth and wanderers cannot even look at each other, wanderers were marked as rejects from the start and were booted out of aos first
>>97172269>kurnothi hunters, belthanosFine>kelthanor, cursed city girl, underworlds warband 2 Cool>warband 1Eww no
>>97172373>There are three standalone elf armies as is.there's 4and kurnothi aren't going to be a standalone army, they go in sylvanethjust like new dark elves won't be a new army and will be together with dok
>>97172369Rude.
>>97172148Words cannot describe just how brittle transparent green resin is.My biggest mistake when I started out 3d printing was to use it to print skaven.Anything smaller than rat ogre is impossible to put together Models the size of verminlords require gel superglue otherwise you end up with your hands covered in cheap one and zero progress.Works okay-ish chunky models design with printing in mind
>>97172373DESU the only Wood Elf in recent times is the Freeguild Self Waifu from Greywater
Noobie here.Haven't played since the end of 3rd ed. Life took priority so I delegated to painting and occasionally helping a buddy with new kits. How much AoS changed in 4th ed?Some local tourneyfags I spoke with said it got watered down too much. Some lists could mop up the competition while requiring little brainpower to use, after you understand the rules. Some people switched to other games waiting for AoS gain some complexity and flavor again. Is this true or an exaggeration?
>>97172447Very little has changed since 3e, which already flattened profiles. They just dropped weapon options, range, more than one ability per warscroll. 3e already had rally, limited enhancements, etc. The main difference is you basically can't have more than one artefact in an army and rampages/heroic actions are basically gone
When are they going to move the leftover dark elf stuff to TOW?
>>97172431Who? I could swear Gotrek met a Wanderer in Greywater with the implication he would adventure with him? I know he went on to do something else entirely, but it was the end of a novella or something. He woke up as the wagon entered the city and overheard the Aelf if I recall?
>>97172610when malerion comes over. So maybe 5th edition.
>>97172610Never just as the Duardin didn't
>>97172581Still begging GW to just release a skull box but instead of skulls its an assortment of mushrooms And I mean like pic related, not the normal shrooms you can get from 3d prints like gamer grass
>Finally found the Seraphon book somewhereI'll be back
>>97172269I would like kurnothi satyrs but only if they get rid of the stupid haircuts and give me the option to give them the masks the centaurs have.I definitely want the centaurs but in the style of the old warband and not whatever the darkwater one is because that one looks horrendous.I also wouldn't mind if they give us more traditional elves but half animals are cooler imo.
>>97172617>Never just as the Duardin didn'tAnon....
>>97172638Buy wildrider heads and do a headswap you tranime faggot
Poospire... Home.
>>97172644A rumourmonger said the warscrolls would remain and he totally didn't mean a legends supplement
>>97172646Vgh... the mighty fortresses of nvrgle... we must retvrn...
>>97172610no ideathey might not reach tow and simply get deleted from aos the moment malerion pops out
>>97172083They don't also unironically thin your paints (not just the GW metallics the red bot is thick as fuck Lord have mercy)
>>97172645>tranime And one can safely discard your opinion. Also the braided hair of the woodelf wardancers would look infinitely better on those minis.
>>97172148Damn I remember getting called a red shirt by that fag
>>97172646> Autistic, never removes helmet> Bizarre motivation for stupid goalTruly /our guy/
>>97172680All tr/a/nime posters MUST hang >>97172644This stuff is acceptable >>97172638This shit is not

>>97172646>As he burned and hacked through ancient glades, Sylvaneth mages diverted the mighty Aurum River, wiping out the king's armies and farmlands in an annihilating flood.Righteous. Fuck that guy.And it feels so good.
>>97172705Rules for the Darkwater stuff would be welcome.
>>97172699you know where you are, right?
>>97172699And yet both were posted by me anon, Non Non Biyori has been loved by this site for a long time.I bet i could post a rozenmaiden picture and you would complain.
>>97172677High elves were mostly gone for a while before tow became a thing right? I think roughly during lumineth release
>>97172707They look like they have gay orgies
>>97172699anime website you fucking tourist, go back to your r*ddit safe space if you have an issue with that
>>97172755I don't think 80s punks and glamrock types were queer like that. maybe goths were like their 00s emo scene successors were
>>97172755>the hippies look like they have orgies If they didn't it would be a failure of design desu
>>97172755there are two continents in ghyran where the population is exclusively female on one and exclusively male on the other, until the mating season where the continents meet so everyone can fuck and reproduce.they probably have gay sex all the time in the other seasons.fun fact: for some deers work in a similar way, the males and females exist as different herds that only meet for mating.
>T-pose so hard on your kids they become aquatic
>>97172956that's not t-posingTHIS is T-posing
Anybody here play Kruleboyz? how do they play now? Also, now that they got combined with the other Orcs dose that mean you can take a combined army?
>>97172956That's some awesome art honestly.
>>97172966I'm gonna be sad when Fyreslayers are retooled into Khazalid Hearth-holds or whatever they'll be called.
>>97171940>tqArachnarok by quite a bit. At one point mid 2nd I was considering oops all spiderfang with 5 akitterstand.
>>97171940>What is the largest model you own?Soul Grinder>What impractically big model would you hypothetically like to see for your army?I want a "lesser" Skryre parasite engine for skaven that's still gigantic
>>97173098Still confused as hell that they decided going all in on Gitmob was the way forward.
>>97172148Is this that dwarf anon people had talked about? I remember mention of him a few threads back.
>>97171940I think Nagash still seemingly takes up the most space just because of the ghost width and hat height. But I tend to collect centerpieces because I keep finding 'em for under 90 bucks and that tempts me greatly as someone who got into this shit for the hobbying aspect.
>>97173143There was an autistic dwarf anon, legitimately diagnosed, and the legion grows Chorf anon who sculpted his own LoA models which were pretty amateurish and composed of simple shapes but he didn't see it as a stepping stone and called it done at that
>>97173198That's kinda funny I'll admit, I think I remember seeing him in the /wip/g for a bit getting clowned on back when I used to go to wip.
So, did darkwater flop?
>>97173291your mom flopped on my dick last night
>>97172956he's a real prick in AoS ain't he
>>97173291No, cursed city had cheaper splits by now :( still waiting on a Pestigor army project
I'm a few chapters in to this, I've read so many bad / mediocre AOS books, I'd forgotten they can be this good
>>97173345give it time, worst case scenario I figure I can wait until it drops in price a bit second hand or mainline then I wanna nab it.
>>97173347eh, I appreciated the time skips permitting a thorough character arc but it's otherwise one of the poorer BL offerings imo. Something like Prince Maesa which was constructed as novellas does a lot more with the structure and ultimately it's just ow the edge, why did I cut myself on the edge if I bleed? which is embarrassing
>>97172679The issues you have with this miniature is not caused by unthinned paints and in general the pendulum has swung too far towards advising people to thin their paints. ALL mini paint companies in the last 10 years have made significant reformulations to their lines since Duncan was a GW employee. Of the ones I've used, Vallejo, Citadel, MSP and some AK interactive (I just haven't used many) all layer just fine out of the pot if applied with a reasonable brush. Vallejo in particular is very thin at baseline. Paints from Vallejo also rely on a certain level of matte medium being present, some paints when thinned become satin or glossy. Ymmv etc but I think the over importance of thin paint is counterproductive
>>97172719I don't know what either of those things are and I'm not that anon but when people post pictures of anime children as reaction images I assume theres something wrong with them. Not gonna call the party van over it but I assume an element of nonce
>>97173347Too bad the author was poached to write for 40k.
>>97173429>noncefuck off back to /40kg/ you retard
>>97173429Kill yourself immediately projecting pedophile
>>97173198>>97173205Shrekanon hereI genuinely thought he was a fine dude, he sent me some PDFs that I needed once. I could probably play a game with the guy and not mind him one bit, but I say that about most people.
>>97173429>when people post pictures of anime children as reaction images I assume theres something wrong with themthat's because there's something wrong with you
>>97173429Every accusation a confession
>>97173455I mean I'm pretty autistic and got diagnosed but I also learned hone that shit over the years and can kinda keep myself in check when speaking with other people. I'm sure he was a nice guy just ya know, when you don't work on sharpening your autism it can be rough.
>>97173383It is an extremely edgy book, but for whatever reason it’s working for me, where something like the Archaon books didn’t
>>97173493Was chorfanon a nut? I remember him being normal, I think the genuine autistic was someone else. Like, it's been years and people STILL shit on his minis and I don't think he ever crashed out like Decal
>>97173507hell if I know I was the anon asking about him, i'm just making unfounded assumptions and projecting myself onto to him to have more sympathy.
>>97172269Not a full 2k army but definitely a few units just to paint
>>97173507He was a menace for a while but I do remember him coming back and being pretty normal but I can't remember if it was in here or 40kg
Bros…all our biggest channels are jumping ship and spitting on AoS publicly…
>>97173570I only really started playing AoS during mid second edition so if he had an adjustment phase I wasn't there for it
Anyone know a really good primer to use? I've been using the army painter stuff but wondering if there's better alternatives I could nab.
>>97173584Shill your videos anon, it won't unpaint my minis.
>>97171940>TQKairos.>What impractically big model would you hypothetically like to see for your army?Pracitically GW could just add the mutalith vortex beast into the battletome. Impractically, would be cool if the leaks were real and we get an obnoxiously large silver tower of tzeentch faction terrain.
>>97173588The past few years I've been using 4chan less and less so I can't remember anything specific about it but he either would have been here, 40kg or wip since those are the only threads I ever look at. Sometime in the past 3 years
>>97173589I use Rust Oleum primer. My first order of fancy model primer never arrived all those years ago so I used hardware store shit and I've never once used a hobby primer for minis. Does it really make a difference?
>>97173584From what I've heard the game itself isn't fun but everyone seems to like the models. I personally never actually play any of the WH quests I'm only ever interested in the models and I think that's very common
>>97173605>From what I've heard the game itself isn't fun but everyone seems to like the modelsThat basically sums up all the WHQ games not counting the original. People are buying them for cool sculpts first, game second.
Evens I paint Gloomspite Gitz. Odds I paint Bolt Action Italians.
>>97173584>about a minute in>yeah it sold out herelel these guys have mastered the art of the clickbait. hell, the thumbnail and title contradict each other
>>97172269I already have these so I'll be definitely getting the rest at some point
>>97173627I hate modern youtube so fucking much it's unreal
>>97172269I like the mohawk satyrs/ centaurs but I do really hope we also get a more normal glade guard kind of unit that looks like qulathis, she's one of my favorite models in AoS. Worst case scenario I can just use the actual glade guard but I'd like a more updated look
So what's the chances of crypt ghouls getting replaced with a battleline of 40 one shot firing musketeers that only get to shoot exactly once using old shitty cities muskets with rusted bayonets on them. And wearing hats that have dead birds on them for feathers.
>>97173624I am going to paint Italians anyway. I am the master of my own fate.
>>97173678you better paint em green and put mushrooms on them then.
>>97173683>greenYeah like a grey green. Something like this.
>>97173692Those would look really good if they were slobbering fantastical pseudo-vampire cannibals but had the same weapons.
>>97173631Very based, lovely stuff anon!
I would very much have appreciated if the Irishmen had published guidebooks to more cities.
>>97173507Yes, the autistic anon had DWARFS not CHORFS
>>97171955I wish I had saved the picture because it's impossible to search for but there was an excellent STL of a brontosaurus type dino with lizardman on it's back loading boulders into a net attached to it's neck and it had it's neck cocked back like a catapult. Incredibly creative design, I wish GW would steal it wholesale or just buy it from them and use it.
>>97173584Darkwater flopping was forseen by basically everyone but GW.
>>97173740Just make your own shit up, that's what they do Throw it on the wiki and it may become canon
>>97173584>our biggest channelsaren't these the guys that are doomsaying about everything and the opposite of everything gw does?
>>97173933Every GW-centric channel is either blindly supporting everything or blindly hating everything GW does
Is there a more effective filter than FS?
>>97174004I'm not sure what that means is this some kind of airfilter for an airbrush or a 4chan filter?
>>97174004Never realy imagined the 'droth walking this "widely", but i guess it's a lizard
>>97173962
>>97174004kharadron and idoneth hands down, if they can't wrap their heads around these factions, then they can never understand the settingby the way, did you know that blanche made kharadrons by repurposing a design he gave to 40k orks once?
>>97173383Speaking of edgy Chaos books, have you read these? I was planning on checking them out next
>>97173631Fuck based Kurnothipilled badass>>97173649>>97172292I can see the normal infantry and average heroes being regular, fully "elf" Wood Elves with an elite centaur unit, elite satyr unit and probably a centaur hero
>>97174136trees and bugs aren't REAL kurnothi
>>97173649I feel like this niche is already kinda taken between the gossamids and the kurnthi guardians. For regular wood elves in sylvaneth I would hope at most for them to be a command group that either focuses on manifestations or rituals if they ever get a prayer.
>>97172269Kurnothi be like>We want the Mr. Tumnus audience.
>>97174143Per the Spitewood booklet Sylvaneth comprise the great majority of Kurnothi. The centauroids and fauns represent a minority of Kurnoth's faithful.
>>97174156is that the Split guy?
>>97174093Scourge of Fate was a phenomenal book that I highly recommend. The story is great, you get an amazing look at the Varanspire/Guard and Vanik is a total badass. I won't say much to avoid spoilers I enjoyed it that much, some enjoyable action as well.Abraxia was decent. As a character, she's completely inoffensive but even after the story she occupies no space in my mind. If she was in a book, her presence wouldn't stop me reading it but I wouldn't actively seek out more of her, if that makes sense? It's set in the "current day" of the AoS timeline so if you're like me and enjoy keeping up with the storyline as it advances it's a bit of a much read to get an idea of what's going on in Ghyran. Characterisation of anyone who isn't Abraxia is a little weak, but the overall story is good and the action's very nice. Also, unlike most GW novels named after a character, Abraxia is in this quite a bit, unlike Kragnos who is in perhaps a 10th of his own novel, at most. Abraxia's spear, Gorbulga, is the highlight of the story.
>>97174143Get >>97174163 lore bitchass lorelet!
why didn't alarielle hook up with tyrion, her lover in the old world, in the age of myth?why didn't alarielle take part in the capture of slaanesh and the recovery of old souls?
>>97172280You do realise he'd just move on to spamming some other, equally retarded, idea instead if that was ever to happen?
>painting today for the first time in a long time>faced with racial superiority of Vallejo bottles to GW bottlesThe stupid conspiracy that GW makes their paints in those shit pots so that they dry out faster is retarded. I am using paints I bought like 4 years ago from GW and they are fine. The shape and ergonomics of the pot are so fucking bad. Total Vallejo supremacy.
>>97174183We don't know. Doesn't really matter now.
>>97174188Hey, not him, but i've been swooning over the idea of root kings and order of the furrow for a hot minute now.
>>97174163>>97174177I knew that, I said what I said because it's the practical truth: trees and bugs aren't REAL kurnothithey could release a dozen kits of trees and bugs that are nominally kurnothi but they still wouldn't cover the spot of REAL kurnothi.
>>97174183She has the Allarielle but honestly she's more Ariel from WFB in terms of memories and personality. She's in love with Kurnoth (who was Orion, basically, in the Old World) and he's not totally dead, just kind of. She also didn't care much about the aelves and dedicated herself to Ghyran and her "children" the Sylvanth.
>>97174192the new Vallejo bottles are actually pretty garbage as well, AK and AP have the best ones right now
>>97174188>SpammingGod forbid someone actually like something. I'm genuinely hyped for the Kurnothi and freaked out a little yesterday when I saw you can build a near 1500 point army of them with a few of the Legends things we got the other day.
>>97174207>the practical truth: trees and bugs aren't REAL kurnothiBut that's demonstrably false.
>>97174198>We don't know. If you actually read the lore, we do :)
>>97174163>SpitewoodThat was the greatest AoS release in years for me. I love Underworld, I play Wood Elves in any fantasy game it's possible to, I love Orion from the Old Wood, I adore Kurnothi, I bought the Helsmiths Army Book, I wanted more Helsmith models...It was practically created just for me!
>>97174183Allariel isn't Allariel. She's an elf god shard that happened to possess her in End Times.
>>97174165Everyone is the Spilt guy if you split enough
>>97174208>She has the Allarielle but honestly she's more Ariel from WFBUh, under that lens it makes way more sense, especially with how the entire connection between elves and forest spirits was an ominous pact of servitude durthu had to ask of the everqueen in exchange of saving the child in the catastrophe.
>Crusade in Ghyran, they said. It's a walk in the garden, they said.
>>97174264Not really. Ariel adored Athel Loren, and had a close connection with the forest spirits (being the first to speak with them) and thus when she combined with Isha and Alarielle and the Isha part made her nature adoring side grow even more, she kinda left behind the elf loving side of Alarielle.Shoot forward to AoS, she's more a nature goddess than ever, and descends to Ghyran, finding a land of everlasting nature and life. Some parts even resemble Athel Loren. She becomes fully dedicated to it, creates the Sylvaneth and the whole Slaanesh thing sort of...disappears from her mind. You gotta understand how little elves mattered to her by the time of the Age of Chaos or even when Slaanesh was captured. Even the ancestors of the Wanderers, who protected nature and lived in harmony with it while praising, loving and worshipping Alarielle were nothing to her compared to her "children" the Sylvaneth.
>>97174302dis bitch lores
>>97174302>Ariel adored Athel Loren, and had a close connection with the forest spirits (being the first to speak with them) and thus when she combined with Isha and AlarielleI'm talking about the older pact with astarielle, didn't elves basically condemn the everqueen line to ultimately serve the forest in exchange of saving the everchild yvraine by letting her flee ulthuan through the worldroots at the time of the collapse of the gateI'm tying ariel to prefer the forest over the elves all down to that deal
>>97171960Link to the unedited image please.
>>97174183End Times ironically isn't canon to AoS.
>>97174444
>>97174143Kurnous will be a furry Aelf so... No? Treefolk are posers
>>97174484>they can't make him a centaur now because of kragnosfuck that guy
>>97174484They should make him a stag beetle just to fuck with furries.
>GW should bring back [insert name of elven god]No.
>>97174524You'd just be appealing to the third audience that likes actual bugs
>>97174543They will though, it's already been leaked. Big Elf God return party.
>>97174543They should bring back Lileath just to fuck with bret fags harder.
>>97174565Nobody gives a shit at this point.
>>97174407You're kind of getting everything wrong but, it's cool. I already explained it.
>>97174543They're already doing that
>>97174565>Nooo don't tie the lady of the lake to pagan folklore... Arthurian cycles never had pagan stuff... Nooo
>>97173584Buy an adYour store is shit, over priced, and pushes the queer shit too much... you sell toys and hobby supply, rainbow flags and queer shit have nothing to do with it aside from slaanesh.
