I can't say I prefer the metal fire dragons, but I do wish latter iterations had kept the scaled tabard instead of making it a simple piece of cloth.

Just played a great game against Tau and Necron with my CSM Deceptors list. Only thing I feel I screwed up was deploying my Vindicator sloppy and getting it bullseyed turn 1 from a squad of heavy destroyers across the board. I managed to get a huge lead in the first few rounds but challenge cards fucked me over by letting my opponents score 9 extra points and ending up bearing me by 2. Great game though and loved my Chaos Lord scoring me 8 points and my Master of Executions scoring 6 points in one turn with assassination and bring it down.
Do you guys use Challenger cards? I feel like I was kinda cheated from my win because I chose to score early.

I think it was pretty unanimous that the 7th edition Archon was the most hated character model in the range before this update, though I think that's largely just because it was so much worse than the model that came before it.
>>
>>97175749
Old necron warriors sucked building thanks to the arms having round numbs you glue into the torso. You'd have to hold each arm up to the right position until the glue dried completely or the gun would just droop to the ground. Not sure if the new warriors still have the same issue.

>in full view of a GW employee
>immediate lifetime ban from all stores

reality is the actual stopgap for this retarded behavior because 99% of actual normal people and hobbyists do not live on twitter or /pol/

Then how does their biology manage retention of heat against the cold?

One reason humans can get so fat IRL is because we are hardwired to want to build up body fat as biological insulation. Your body will, unless you stop it, deconstruct muscle mass rather than pull energy out of fat, when it runs out of calories.

Lore being old doesn't make it still canon. Space marines used to be all convicts but now there isn't any mention of it. They never explicitly came out and said
>HEADS UP EVERYONE, SPACE MARINES ARENT CONVICTS ANYMORE
They just stopped writing about it. Same thing with xenology, and many other niche lore sources. If they haven't written about it after 7th edition than it's likely been retconned. If they wanted to reinforce that eldar have no body fat they would have done so in one of the literal hundreds of thousands of mentionings of eldar across all their printed media since xenology at least once, even in passing.

You can get the painting set with Tyranids or Marines and also you can get a free marine/nid/stormcast in a GW store.

I think the space marine heroes are push fit. But no. There is a beginner set with intercessors, but if you want the more dated models you havr to buy them separate. Gw isn't trying to give beginners tactical marines that they've been getting ready to squat for a decade

My painting has been delayed by work and a prolonged move earlier this year, but it's all here. Hoping to get the Hawks done next. The Crimson Hunter is brand new.
Not pictured; three tanks (Falcon, Serpent, Prism, some Harlequin characters and infantry, and the Ynnari Triumvirate.
>>

A lot of people claim to have seen bigfoot, but why cant anyone confirm anything? Why havent any of the rainbow kamen rider eldar players showed up in any observable environment, like here? Or tournaments? Why dont you hear about people running avatars of khaine ever? It sounds to me like they're always showing up in places that can't have photos taken, or they are put away, or they sold them already, or can't be accessed or displayed or proven that they exist. With every aspect release I've watched the goalposts move as to what they really need for their army is the next aspect. I'm surprised we haven't seen the goalposts swing way out and have them all claiming the army is ruined without the slicing orbs of zandtos

Nta but that kind of open storage makes sad. Even more so on grey stuff honestly because it adds a whole dusting and then scrubbing with soapy water step before you can prime of you don't want texture, and most people don't bother. I've seen a lot of beginners get really frustrated trying to figure out thinning their paints but then storing their models open on a shelf by a heating vent or something just getting peppered with tiny particles all day

I keep everything the same for the base game. Take away morale. Add true psychic back. Make the edition killier. Refresh combat patrol to be a clone of spearhead. Dual launch box. Normal core set launch box. Combat patrol core set launch with large split ring binder of battle mats, small selection of scatter that fits on every mat. Add warcry twist system to combat patrol. Tournament pack brings back points for wargear, creating/differentiating the formats and satisfying as many types of players possible.

They look really nice, your silver is really dirty and interesting without just looking brown. Have you tried chipping with a yellow to break up the black and then going in with your brown for a layered effect? I find it helps break it up a bit more and is even more helpful at making your shapes appear neater than they are. Go really really light with your yellow chips if you try it, it doesn't take all that much to sell the effect, even less so than darker chipping

Not many people actually want to run a firstborn army. Not because firstborn aren't cool in their own way, but because people hear they aren't tournament playable or particularly strong, and then use that as an excuse. Realistically most stores aren't running tournament lists and for the most part people are running coolstuff piles of their favorite models. You get a few sweaty guys in every store but most players are fairly casual about their lists.

That actually makes a bit of sense.

Has anybody ever played proxies using the exact same stats from a different army? How often did such proxy models get accepted by opponents?

I've been looking at some of the melee only looking sisters of battle models like the Celestian sacrescants and the Repentia and Arco-Flagellants.

Also what melee only model from 40k's stats would be best for taking Veletaris storm axe units to be proxied in 40k games?
>>
