She is also unaware that the HLA actually have their own plan to 'turn' Ai, so her helping them provoke her is a happy little accident.Saito Mimi's instructions are to spy on students, and cause problems for the student council. Her MO from her days as a serial pharmacist pill-swapper were to plant poisons and let people kill themselves, so that's the MO she's trying to use here. As someone who worked in an office, she's familiar with office/school email accounts and basic cybersecurity, as well as their vulnerabilities. In this case, her plan was to trawl the computer labs for computers left on and unattended, under the guise of hall monitoring/curfew checks. Kaoru may or may not be the only person she sent troll emails for to try and ruin their lives. A possible investigative angle Kaoru could take there.As for Kiro no Kawa's powers, her main offensive tool is her venom. In combat she can make it a paralytic, and outside of fights she can send little offshoot-worms to infect people with her 'love potion' venom to make them act unhinged, or use it like the 'Confuse' status in a video game. She's basically a status effect/support boss who supports lackey Yokai in battle.She's also the type of Yokai who loves to make deals and play games with mortals, especially where love or obsession are involved.

That's how you get stuff like the Pure Qi Condensation pill in the CYOA itself.You also have pills that are a lot more minor, where the effects could be summarized as "you cultivate like 5% faster for an hour, but only if you're in foundation establishment or lower" or "gain .1% progress towards your next realm, but only if you're in the spirit essence stage." And those are things where you probably don't even need to gather ingredients because they're common enough that any middling alchemist has them stocked, and you don't even need to commission them because they have that kind of pill stocked year round (it takes them a couple hours to make a few dozen).It's basically a sliding scale of quality and effort VS cheap and accessible.There's also pills with non-cultivation effects. Stuff that'll help with beauty, purge toxins, heal wounds, offer brief enhancement to combat power, staves off hunger and thirst, etc. The same sliding scale logic applies here too. There's also a sub-category of those combat enhancing drugs called forbidden medicines that turbo charge you but have terrible side effects, with the most severe cases allowing you to trade your life in order to fight 1 whole realm higher than normally for a couple hours.It's also worth mentioning that overuse of cultivation related pills is typically not as useful as it sounds. Xianxia has some vague concepts about the act of cultivation that essentially mean that external aids should be used in moderation. In other words, a wastrel young master who relies entirely on pills to move his cultivation forward isn't just less skill and less practiced than his peers, he's pound for pound weaker than other people in the same realm, and after a point it becomes impossible to fix short of starting from the beginning.

In general, the elders try to avoid serious deadly grudges or anything else that's detrimental to the overall clan. For example, buying up a resource your rival needs for a pill is fine... for a little bit. If you do it forever, it means cutting off the whole clan just to mess with one guy, and the elders will probably come in and stop you.Naturally there's also the counter-example of the ground rules not always being perfectly defended. Sometimes an ancestor's grandson/disciple thinks he's above the rules, goes out and cripples someone, and he gets like a week of timeout (with full access to expensive cultivation resources.) Whether the Xun clan allows for that is up to anons though. It's a common trope, but it isn't absolute.

I assume in this case they would replace beasts in the setting. Since cultivators are THE FUCKING STRONG, I’ll set a generalrule for “endgame” teams, one legendary and one Mega. Can also be both. But feel free to do whateverSurprisingly enough, Jian avoids having a full Dragon monotype team by having a lot of “almost dragons”. I think he’d end up with a Rayquaza at the end of his journey, and he might even unlock the Mega, but his bond with his starter Dratini is so strong that he’d rather use his Mega Dragonite until he feels ready to bring out Mega Rayquaza’s full power and get banned to Anything Goes.I considered a more diverse wacky team, with Hisuian Arcanine (to represent Dashan), Kricketot for the erhu and Mienfoo for his martial arts, but considering that in these rules shisa dogs wouldn’t exist, Hisuian Arcanine has zero ties to Dragon types so Jian wouldn’t use one. This is the team he’d train if we replaced beasts with Pokémon. But I could also make a more representative team with how he works in the actual MP

But I'm not in MP so I can't really answer the question.
