how to have fun as aggro enjoyer in a pod full of control decks?
>>97197912>Link your favorite deck on this site. It will breakdown your deck's power level on different axis's. Tell us about what you are surprised about in the results or what you are not surprised about.Wow it really likes my Taii Wakeen deck. Says its a solid B3, power 6. I thought it would be a power 5, but I guess I can see why it likes it. It has the potential to draw a million cards, it has a Repercussion, amd obviously good interaction
https://moxfield.com/decks/i5bBudl97EyuMMCGjJPhgAAnyone got any suggestions for this deck? Are any of the cards in Considering a good fit?
>>97197938Jerry is probably EsperGeorge is rakdosElaine is orzhovKramer is gruul but he's also the guy that won't stop building mono red

>>97198048https://commandersalt.com/details/deck/cdaaff7688aeea734284bf0e15ab9ec0Bruh it rated my Ojer a 6. Ive had real bad luck with Ojer, I feel like this is the biggest personal miss for me. It also gave my Taii the 6 but that rating feels more reasonable. Ive been thinking about taking Ojer apart, maybe making a different commander with the cards but not sure.

>>97198114You run whatever the fuck Izzet archetype you want, except you've got a mana dork on the command zone.Or you Traumatize yourself to deal 30 damage to everyone on attack.
>>97197912I love it when commandersalt says my deck is bracket 2 but edhpowerlevel says its 8.0
It just keeps looking at me, begging me to play it. Whats a deck I should build with it?
>>97198164
>>97198133In the fine print it gave you a 3.9 but appears to have rounded down. Idk why its presuming bracket 1 as a baseline. That list looks line fun but you don't really have wincons and you are hyper synergized around a 5 cost commander. So if your commander is removed you may be somewhat dead in the water.
>>97198068>>97197912Elaborating.I do like the idea of the site, and the further bracket categorization, but some of the comparisons make no sense.Take pic related for example. I understand that efficiency is grouped for shit like fast mana and ramp. How much does focusing more heavily on playing low-to-the-ground hurt a deck's score? A lot of decks don't need to run a high amount of mana acceleration since those can end up being dead draws. What exactly is "win cons" either? If I have two combos I can consistently pull off (even ignoring that the site seems to think Worldgorger is a stompy card and doesn't seem to know about Animate Dead), how does that compare to a deck that's being stuffed with random combos but little consistency? What exactly is "Synergy" anyway? It's a cute site, but I'm probably not going to take it to heart.

T Barnum wanted a white elephant for his shows, got it from a noble in Burma, and quickly realized exactly why he got it for so cheap. The thing is that you were usually given it by some king or ruler, and it was a sign of their favour but also a curse since, as you said, they were enormously expensive to mantain and couldn't even be put to work because they were very sensitive and sacred; but you couldn't also let them die, because then you'd be spitting on the king's generosity.

>>97199129>707.2: When copying an object, the copy acquires the copiable values of the original object's characteristics and, for an object on the stack, choices made when casting or activating it (mode, targets, the value of X, whether it was kicked, how it will affect multiple targets, and so on). The copiable values are the values derived from the text printed on the object (that text being name, mana cost, color indicator, card type, subtype, supertype, rules text, power, toughness, and/or loyalty), as modified by other copy effects, by its face-down status, and by "as . . . enters the battlefield" and "as . . . is turned face up" abilities that set power and toughness (and may also set additional characteristics). Other effects (including type-changing and text-changing effects), status, counters, and stickers are not copied.>Example: Chimeric Staff is an artifact that reads, "{X}: Chimeric Staff becomes an X/X artifact creature until end of turn." Clone is a creature that reads, "You may have Clone enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield." After a Staff has become a 5/5 artifact creature, a Clone enters the battlefield as a copy of it. The Clone is an artifact, not a 5/5 artifact creature. (The copy has the Staff's ability, however, and will become a creature if that ability is activated.)>506.3a: If an effect would put a noncreature permanent onto the battlefield attacking or blocking, the permanent does enter the battlefield but it's never considered to be an attacking or blocking permanent.
What is the most fun and Commander and Deck you got?
Been a while since I've seen any HOW2s get posted. These were my favorite part of lurking here
>>97198883Ya know, it's funny. As someone who started with EDH, and who's still pretty much a greenhorn in Magic as I only started in 2017, I will insist that the blame for all the retardation in the format solely falls on the community itself, particularly Reddit and Youtube, as opposed to the format. These idiots have fostered an absolutely abhorrent philosophy for EDH, leading new players into one of three flavors of stupidity:>If anyone touches my stuff or stops me, they're a mean stinky doodoo head>I need to spend a bajillion dollars for my deck to be good>I need to play the most broken, degenerate paint by numbers cEDH slop because that's Real Magic tm.Nobody wants to sit down and help these players understand interaction, card advantage, mana curve, color distribution, etc. Nobody wants to try and preach/teach new players introspection and critical thinking. That's too hard.Want to know the first thing I do after a game of Commander? I take a 5 minute break to think about the game, my deck, and my play.>Did that card I thought I liked live up to expectations?>Dang, GY hate kinda screws me, anything I can do about that?>Did I evaluate the board and Known Information to the best of my ability? And nevermind the fact that sometimes you just have to shrug and say you got unlucky and that by the intrinsic factor of RNG, you cannot win every game. But now you just have the blind leading the blind, because new players either get taught the game by whiny Reddit babies or cEDH sweatlords who are too chickenshit for Legacy.
>>97198981So far I've got Perilous Forays + Land drop Token (Scute Swarm, Nesting Dragon, Omnath) + Land drop Mana (Lotus Cobra, Provisioner, Spelunking) combo, pulling in all basic lands in a turn, which isn't a game winner except Omnath can do (Basic Lands in library x 3) damage which might kill a player. >>97199188>Nobody wants to sit down and help these players understand interaction, card advantage, mana curve, color distribution, etc. Those are things that you don't have to be sat down to understand in 60-card. 1v1 games with more consistent decks teach you those things simply through play, compared to 4-way free-for-all with wildly inconsistent decks. The number of games you can play without seeing a given card that's in your deck makes it inherently more difficult to evaluate how a given change impacts the deck's performance, and the fact that a less threatening board state will lead to your opponents focusing on each other rather than you prevents you from realizing exactly how ineffectual your deck might be.
