It’s surprisingly interesting for actual character creation and it has enough lore to be interesting, but not so much as to stop us from making up shit. >>97204412That they aren't overall on the level of a pure realm expert, only in specific traits that are "their strengths" (where exactly the line is drawn could be disputable, I'm not sure if 3 is enough) and at that line they compete to an average (so talent 1) late stage pure realm expert (which would be roughly equivalent to talent 4 one realm lower based on the talents' description). Because the beasts are much less versatile, the areas in which they could compete are few, and because of that, effectively they wouldn't be comparable to a late stage pure expert in combat prowess (even if they exceeded him in that one area, which is possible given the "at minimum" wording, but would likely require going significantly over the line where something could be described as a strength).
