I combined 2 broken flutes into 1, they were plastic so I just melted them a bit around a cast. It was a bit distorted but it still worked, more or less. With a wooden one it would be easier, normal flutes are already made to be assembled in 3 parts a lot of the time, you can adapt the other parts to the one you have, regardless of which one it is.

Being interactive does help in some aspects (ie only describing an interaction between two choices if you've selected both, reducing clutter).
