There's not a very strong theme of faeries looking for or keeping secrets or other information, even in WotCs own settings. It does feel like they're blue mainly because they're small fliers and blue used to be the "main" color for fliers back in the dayI think rakdos faeries would be fun for exploring the more temperamental side of faeries, but that entire characterization of fae creatures mostly seems to have gone to goblins and related creatures in Magic. It's a shame because faeries are probably most known for being emotional and volatile and yet we have more azorius faeries than red faeries of any kind. Goblins are complete pleb tier boring fantasy creatures and I hate their popularity in Magic means other creature can't share the same design space

>>97216858This card looked weirdly Boros and now I know why. The colors are inverted. Rakdos cards go black first then red. The reason it didn't look gruul was because red and green are pretty distinct to the non-colorblind.
>>97217109We'll probably get Izzet fairies before Rakdos faires since they expand creatures into different colors by focusing in its primary color (blue) and 1 new color (red). Even then they don't really want many small fliers in red so they'd have to shift their lore into being non fliers.
