How can I convince my friends to play this?
>>97223746Whatever it is, it looks gay as fuck. Invite them to your tranny discord to acclimate for a couple of months first.

>>97223879Isle of Skye has been an evergreen game with my group and any group I visit.
Wolfpack.
Spirit Island
Meltwater
>>97223080I found it vastly inferior to kemet and inis despite being the most fun on paper. That said the new edition does fix most of the things that made me hate the first edition so who knows. Not particularly keen on trying it again, though
>>97224261Exactly the opposite opinion here. For anyone interested in DOAM games, I'd suggest trying all 3, they're very different.
I can't believe I actually did it.My most recent game of Hansa Teutonica was actually ended by filling up 10 trading posts. 3 players, base map. We weren't even trying for it, we played for another 4-5 turns before someone said "Hey you should check how many of those cities are full". Do I win an award or something?
2nd time on Planto and I can see more of where "Loyang the Dice game" was the foundation and should have remain because this is just an absolute mess of a game. Almost audacious even in how little regard it has to table space, plausible but still unnecessary subsystems, and pasted on theme. I don't hate it, but I think the only pull back to it is to marvel at how this game ended up in this state and what the fuck they were going for besides "look I can do 30 things in a single turn that amount in uhh 6 VP"
>>97223879Isle of sky is farly known. You build landscape like in Carcassonne but each player auctions off a tile. Tower of Babel I think was famous for being very mean as players could ruin domething you build for half a game.. or something like that. Don't know about the other two.
>>97224676I read the rulebooks today. Tower of Babel looks pretty cool. Shifting Stones seems chaotic. Argoat seems slow and boring.
>>97224222>circles being abstracted as squaresthis is weird as hell
