The land as an extra body is also nice. I would say Rishkars and Wildspeaker are also up there, Wildspeaker being a potential finisher (though I think it is expensive compared to stampede or something), and Rishkars a 5cc free cast is nice but it depends on what.
>>97240998I think he means the player thought Narset Enlightened Exile couldn't exile a sorcery and cast it as part of her resolution and thought you would have to wait until main phase two to cast it at sorcery speed. And same with cascade. Which is a wild mistake to make.

Fetches are infinitely more powerful than true duals.Shocks + Fetches is drastically stronger than ABUduals + Shocks. The problem is proxying isn't intrinsically power, it's that the average commander player has the self-control and intelligence of the average toddler.Unfortunately, price is often the only thing insulating the average retard's opening from being t1 Vampiric Tutor, t2 Arcane Signet, t3 The One Ring. This means that banning proxies often gives you a goldilocks window where people are playing decks of reasonable power before they start whaling on cards. So many players are under the illusion that allowing players access to every card irrespective of price is the problem, when in reality it's the fact that most commander players are retards.

>>97242011No wonder Americans are so fat and dumb. They gladly revel in mediocrity because they think that if something isn't personally fun they shouldn't do it, even if it means to better themselves. For your own health you should exercise and do some basic cooking and exercise. Sure making pies or some shit every week can be a hobby, but thats not inexpensive. Reading and writing is important for learning, even it its just websites or how-to books. Drawing on that list is the only "hobby", and I put that with music, gaming etc. Sorry if I hurt your feelings!

>>97242346Why would I waste my time when he closed his argument that can just be debunked with an easy search of latest top vintage? They run more duals or equal amounts of duals to fetches. The reason they do this is to get the right colors for their combos, but their combos only work because the true duals come in untapped to be used immediately without downside.
>>97242385I'm going to buy a card, even a 2 dollar card in the "I might like this deck" phase. I'll proxy it until I think it's worth buying.
>>97242380>>97242385There's nothing to get, and it's got nothing to do with hatred of WOTC or not knowing any better: Proxy users are lying about what they intend to proxy because they want to not be judged for counterfeiting cards. If they didn't care about being judged they would just sharpie over an existing real basic land and say "this is my proxy", which is what I have done multiple times in the past when I'm missing a card for a deck which is otherwise good to go. But they don't want to "just play" they want to possess a deck with premium/prestige printings and not to be called out for having the MTG equivalent of a fake LV

>>97242394>Why is the deck running only 4 true duals in dimir?! HahahhahahaBecause 4 is the limit. If they could run more they would. The 4 true duals are the most important thing in their deck because it's all they need to cast in the right colors. The fact they need 8 fetches just to get to those 4 lands speaks volumes about how important those 4 lands are and how powerful they actually are.Good try though.

ok guys what should I do? I started playing edh again a few months ago. I have 5 decks now but each deck has about 10 proxy cards because Im not willing to pay 50 bucks for a card. I still enjoy it tho that most of my cards and real because it just feels right and looks better too. now I could just go on like this and buy more cards for more decks or I could use that money to slowly, over time, replace the proxy cards in my 5 decks and maybe foil them out too.at what point did you stop making new decks? I feel like even 5 decks are a lot for me right now. I only play for a few hours once a week so I can not play all of them in one evening.pic related, my latest commander
