Another player took control of it to swing at another player who needed one more turn to play their infinite combo, I conceded before combat damage step. Anyone else ever given up on a commander? After last play session I retooled her into a Shanid deck. She's still part of the 99 because I can't dream of getting rid of her but a 6 drop commander in 2026 isn't cutting it anymore

Elves are such a solid tribe that I would never need to cast Abomination Of Lanowar. The tribe just doesn't need Abomination Of Lanowar to do anything and I didn't like that. If I'm playing a commander I want it to matter to the deck's gameplan. It was at most a backup plan after a board wipe but often it felt like elves could just elf ball so fast that getting Abomination Of Lanowar out would feel like the third best thing to be doing. A friend of mine built Lathril a while ago and I gave or traded him most of my Abomination Of Lanowar to help him start it.

I swear the worst fucking thing about this format is the wildcard people that just disrupt or attack you for literally no reason and never win a single game, feels like group hug is the only acceptable play style whenever they're around because they never see through it and ignore you the whole game.
