While yes, it does have some tropes that are common to them, especially if we specify that we're talking about battle shounen where everyone has a unique power and can grow stronger through training and/or the power of friendship, it's hard to understand what you dislike based on what a setting is trying to appeal towards. And also it largely depends on which anon is writing whether a story can lean towards shounen or something else like shoujo or seinen.tl;dr be more specific about what you don't like.

Not to say that there can't be serious suggestions since those tend to have power systems that encourage individuality that makes it easy to want to build OCs. What helps with shounen franchises being popular here is that they tend to write with the same requirements of being quick to produce chapters, easy to follow, and involve a large cast that hopefully someone will like enough to cover all audience types. Then there are the opposites that are harder to write under the same conditions like horror or mystery. I think we'd be more open to more types if there we more ways to interact and progress in multiplayer while still being something others may care about.

In hindsight, Itsuki gets nothing from Shu being NTRman. His crush will remain dead, he cannot enact revenge on the guy because the OG is good as dead. The only one who will get some solace is Shu because there ain't anything Itsuki can gain from this besides an "it was all for nothing" which he already is aware of. Overall there is little to no reward for him besides knowing NTRman's identity and seeing how futile his actions are when all is said and done.
