Did the Jade Falcons gain anything from winning the Refusal War?
>>97325404They pretty much ended the warden movement , killed an ilkhan who was hostile to them and installed their own guy as Ilkhan. If Crichell had any restraint he could have been in a very good position.
>>97325390>Jade Falcon Top Gun More like gay amongst the Clans although I wouldn't mind seeing homoerotic Clanner beach volleyball to be honest.
>>97325466Yeah, but then he wouldn't be a Jade Falcon.
>>97325472There's a gay clanner in the novel Redemption Rites. Not a big deal, he's just at a new year's party with some twink on his lap and then gets interrupted.
>>97325404Would her bondsman be required to clean that paint spill with my I mean his tongue?
>>97325466The fact that Clan Wolf was even allowed to survive that shit was bullshit of the highest order.
>>97325472> homoerotic Clanner beach volleyballmake it Elementals and i'm down to clown with the birdboys
>>97325483I don't see what that has to do with being gay. Fucking femboys has never had anything to do with homosex. Being fucked by real men is literally why femboys exist.
>>97325543>Jade Falcon Elementals in bikinis playing beach volleyballI both want to see a drawfag take on this but would also be worried since they'd probably all be male.
>>97325593Twinks and femboys are different. Femboys are a bacterial colony passing as a human, while twinks are technically a species of deer. Hope this helps.
>>97325596Make it oiled up beefy men in tight speedos. Preferably with some nice chest hair.
>>97325529The whole thing is an interesting demonstration of how what passes for the clan legal system has vaporized on contact with the inner sphere. Sure if the writers had more courage it would have knocked both the falcons and wolves down to ice hellion tier, but you have to find enjoyment where you can.
Y'all motherfuckers need Blake.
>>97325605>while twinks are technically a species of deerAre you trying to summon /k/?
Suppose I want to paint SLDF scheme. Other than olive drab, what 2 other colors should I use, for tabletop standard?
>>97325654Black and yellow hazard stripes, plus silver details and red cockpit
>>97325654SLDF seems to have had these different camo schemes:>olive drab>white and gray with blue trim>gray and green>light tanSo pretty much look at American tank colors through the ages and steal liberally
>>97325654From camospecs there is a light tan variation and a gray and green described and the sources check out. There was a white and gray with blue trim described as well but I think that source is bullshit as I have never seen it when I've tried to look it up myself.
>>97325654Also forgot to ask, first or second SLDF?
>>97325654Scopedog colors, red shoulder non-optional
>>97325674>>97325692White and grey w/ blue trim would probably a dedicated winter camo, similar to pic related
>>97325674>>97325717White and grey with blue trim is still iffy, it's on camospecs, but "Canonized by CSO, 5-9-2012" is the only real reference. Usually it's interpreted as more of a jet livery kind of deal, with white and grey panels and blue edges or a few key panels. I would guess it's more of a parade scheme for specific units, or an academy scheme.
Whats a good BV limit for Jihad era 4v4 AI mech tourney.Trying to keep it low since playing around the lower BV is interesting but the era has a lot of nice toys.
>>973257886000 BV will get you a decent mix of mediums with some heavies and maybe an assault.
What book contains C-bill price for all weapons/engines etc?
>>97325509she's a tech, anon
>>97325466>They pretty much ended the warden movementNo they didn't, the Wardens fucked them over during the Great Refusal and killed the invasion for another 70 years.
>>97325786The white and grey with blue trim paintjob seems to be a SLDF holdover that only the Niops Association Militia used. My guess would be a parade/anniversary scheme that got adopted as a throwback to the SLDF. Would be like Finland adopted this camo scheme as a standard camo for their modern jets as a throwback to the Swedish Empire.
>>97325596>would also be worried since they'd probably all be male.I mean I'm not against it, let them have their Beefcake.>>97325651Or at the very least, Brainrot?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mf8EruNfZ64>>97325922I mean it IS a sick paint scheme...

Where can I read more about the kinds of nukes that sterilized Circinius?
>>973257051st
>>97326037I don't believe there are any specific rules for cobalt-laced nukes, only regular ones.
>>97325893The outcome of the great refusal had way more to do with the smoke jags being extremely unpleasant neighbors than any warden/crusader split.
>>97325922Amaris Dragoons is that you
>>97326128It fits. The Nordics are the good guys of the world. Amaris is the good guy of the setting.
New plan for a mercenary force. An idol group that uses mechs in combat similar to the Killer Bunny Commandos from Heavy Gear if anyone's familiar with that, conceived by an exec to promote the DCMS and various mech manufacturers (and rake in sponsorship and state funding). The unit and their recording crew around tag along with various units of the DCMS to take part in action and show off the honor of serving the dragon. At least they did, after the first holovid season the ministry of war would decide the show was against the values of the draconis combine and pull funding. So these days they're more or less stuck following one unit (which will probably be the ALAG) since they can neither afford cross combine trips nor have the political power to attach themselves to a new unit. On the bright side they still have a small but dedicated following and a hunchback from the Nissan sponsorship
>>97326290Equal parts idol group and failed reality show is actually a pretty fun premise.
>>97326290Someone's been reading Achillies Shieldmaidenshttps://www.thepullbox.com/2021/09/preview-achilles-shieldmaidens/I approve
>>97326290Wasn't there a merc company that was essentially formed from a in-universe MechWarrior docu-drama crew gone rogue, mechs and all?
>>97326370Greenburg's Godzillas.iirc, there's also one who regularly dress up their mechs to do practical effects for movies and shows.
>>97326370Greenburg's Godzillas!
>>97325795Thats what I was thinking, 5k or 6k upper limit. At the same time I was thinking of a persistent tourney, in only the facet of pilot deaths or mech loss. Which sounds like a lot of fun but at the same time makes it favor less fun builds. That said who would be interested in making a lance for this hypothetical AI tournament.
>>97322922The "no heavy armour" term is in reference to the armour type known as "Hardened Armour". I've been tired all day and my minds mush.

>>97326290How would idol business work without spess youtube or spotify?
>>97326594And a femEmelental for good taste. I do not support clanners but i would be down to clown with an elemental of any gender.
>>97326621Live old VHS imports in the 80s: copies of copies being distributed by couriers, some regions getting badly translated subtitles or really cringe voice-over dubs, local spin-offs being made from various misunderstood story arcs butchered by censorship and/or missing episodes, etc etc
>>97326631I always imagined that a lot of shows are simply reshot locally from scripts since those are very cheap to transmit while actual copies require a ship to deliver them or an eye wateringly high transmission fee has to be paid to Comstar. Buying the license to a shows script and then using local actors could be cheaper and easier.
>>97326657>lot of shows are simply reshot locally from scripts There would probably be several hundred versions of Power Rangers-esque shows based on one show reshot with mostly local actors but using short clips form the original series
>>97326070Damn. Do we know if they were in the gigaton range?
>>97326696There were custom-yield rules, so you could build your own gigatonners, if you wanted.- Herb
>>97326657When you put it that way that makes some sense, but I think you could also see a lot of traders carrying around big libraries of new productions via jump ship, selling the rights and copies of the masters to individual planets in system. It also puts a funny spin on what it means to be a pirate in the Inner Sphere; where grabbing years of seasons of an official production could be a job achieved by battlemech.
>>97326657>>97326683Would kuritans have a different anime animation team in each military district all working off the same notes/manga?
>>97326696iirc, they had a lot of pocket warships and a few actual warships, so most likely Type III and IV warheads in the 50 to 500 kiloton range. The biggest in regular use are AMWs and are a few megatons, but I don't know if the Regulans had any of the euphemistically named Asset Management Weapons.
>>97326725Yeah, but I want to get an idea on what nukes were considered best for planetary "sterilization"
>>97326770Damn, I was hoping for another Old Kentucky.
>>97326857Nope, just Santa Anas and Peacemakers. And maybe AMWs. Turns out the FWL is actually the most innovative with their nukes.
>>97326594>>97326623well at least its not LAM spam
>>97326754>It also puts a funny spin on what it means to be a pirate in the Inner Sphere; where grabbing years of seasons of an official production could be a job achieved by battlemech.YOU CAN'T STOP THE SIGNAL!
>On the head-up display and on every secondary monitor, an animated woman—or child maybe?—took over and performed a dance with her hands above her ears, mimicking a cat. Claudio spoke little Japanese, but he recognized enough words as the BattleMech’s diagnostic-interface computer literally thanking him for turning the ’Mech on. The air circulators ceased pumping a flowery perfume through the cockpit, though the concentration was enough to make him gag, to the point of needing to throw the power switch back to full shutdown and yanking himself out onto the scissor lift. Why the hell is this canon>>97326486

Light Binary Lasers in CBT when
I thought the M42B was just another autorifle that maybe fired fast, but it does as much damage as a fucking support machinegun. What the fuck did the FedSuns load in that thing that it's doing as much damage as a Zeus rifle.
https://battletech.com/playtest-battletech/
>>97327849I don't see the point without dazzle mode. And even with dazzle mode, plain old medium lasers are completely busted so there's not a whole lot of point in LBlazers.

>>97328302In that case you share the blame for ruining Battletech forever. Kill yourself.
>>97327088>>97327117>>97327127It's odd that they got rid of the double cockpit issue for the Wasp and Stinger LAMs (Wasp's head seems somewhat elongated compared to the standard mech's so its windows line up where the plane's cockpit canopy should be, while the Stinger just has the nose cone swing up to be in from of the mech's head), but the Pixie LAM still has a separate cockpit in the ASF/Airmech mode.
>>97328419I really hope they make a LAM lance pack. or even better a LAM star / level II pack. i want at least one of every LAM... and possibly multiples of the Phawk. because the large laser is clearly SLUNG on the 'back' or 'over the shoulder' as it transforms, and that is just the coolest shit ever, because it means the large laser actually IS in a 'rifle' form
>>97328471>>97328419And I hope you both burn to death. LAMs don't belong in the game and neither do their faggot fans.
>>97328518Calm down Herb!
If you want a custom run of a single chasis skeleton, how hard is it to get that done? If its endo steel does it need to be in a n orbital facility or do they just make the steel in orbit and it can be machined anywhere? If I want a custom clan tech endo chassis when would I be able to get that work done as a spheroid? I know rules wise a 300 rated engine is a 300 rated engine but in the fluff can you swap a SFE from like an Atlas to a Marauder?
>>97328419The head = cockpit thing is frequently totally ignored anyway, and many of even the earliest designs didn't have it because macross didn't do it. They even made it clear that they look through 360 cameras anyway, so why the fuck is everyone sitting on the very top of the mech in a big superglass-but still weaker than armor cage?Unfortunately heads being cockpit+weakspot is hardcoded into the rules. Adding torso cockpits into the rules just made it worse because now you've clarified they only learn to do it later when they're clearly doing it other times anyway. Ruined any vagueness.Dougram did it so that's just how it goes now. Many such cases!
>>97328518keep sucking dicks, you degenerate faggot
>>97328471>a LAM lance packA LAMce pack if you will
>>97328727>More like a LAME Lance amirite?
>>97328471It wont be a lance pack, just a LAM pack with all three modes. If they even do it. Its a pretty niche product. Would be better off leaving it to IWM imo.
Megamek lets you use composite structure with LAMS is that legal? I thought all weight savings tech was verbotin?
>>97328783>Though the Composite Structure remains an Experimental Technology and restricted to BattleMechs and their subtypes, several combat units have taken advantage of its combination of light weight and lack of bulk to add additional weapons and equipment. For example, it can be used to great effect on Land-Air 'Mechs, which are prohibited from using Endo Steel.[3]It's pretty explicitly the intent going off Interstellar Operations. Plus iirc the rule is advanced tech that take up crit slots, which Composite doesn't.
>read old LAM writing>LAMs are good, actually>read awkward unpopular "herb" middle era LAM writing>THEY SUCK, YOU LOSE IF YOU BRING THEM, THEY DON'T WORK, NO ONE LIKES THEM, THEY ALL BLEW UP>read modern LAM writing>LAMs are good, actually
Reminder
If you bring LAMs your opponent is contractually obligated to kick you in the nuts att full force. Just a PSA, folks.
>>97328931I dont have an opponent. I have a GM and the three other dudes in my merc outfit. Do you play the game?
>>97328924Not canon Neck yourself
I find it endlessly amusing that LAMS piss Manic off.
>>97328953Considering he kicks people in the nuts over any slight, no he does not.
>>97328978I'm not even sure this is the actual Manic, his hallmark is those RANDOM CAPITAL WORDS and mass replying to a dozen people at a time.
>>97329028wrong. that would be ME.manic is indentified by his raging homococklust for bottom and CGL shilling and worshipping, and his hatred of any actual discussion on-topic or battletech discussion in general. boh and he also hates all the actual namefags who used to show up here often and contribute actual content etc.remember, manic et al was so vile and retarded, ban evading faggot that he made warship anon, lamfag, nea all fuckoff and never come back.
>>97329161>lying this much for attention
The rules prevent you from putting an infantry bay in a mech. Gay. Guess my jump infantry can just get mag harnesses and clamp on to the outside then.
Time to 3d print LAMs for every battletech player I know. I could sell them in a pack too, I suppose.
Can someone explain me new ammo explosion damage cap? I have 3 tons of ammo in my left torso, one of them explodes after being hit, and my the torso survives 20 damage. All other ammo also explodes, or it's fine? Do I roll another crit after receiving 20 damage?
>>97329243yes! lets have threads full of painted lams
>>97329284Okay so based on my understanding of both TW and the playtest packet, when an ammo bin goes off, only the ammo bin hit blows; however it is an automatic internal structure hit, so you roll a critical hit from it. This is how you get chain-reactions in ammo cooking off. Now, if you hit another bin with that, I believe it will explode with a second blast up to the 20/10/1 cap (note that CASE II may negate a critical hit from an exploding bin/component on a roll of 8+). If you do not have CASE and a second bin cooks off, that location is almost certainly 100% toast unless you have Reinforced Structure and it will be transfering. If you do have CASE however, a side torso on an 100 ton battlemech will barely hang on from a chain reaction of two 10pt bin explosions; most anything smaller than that is saying goodbye to the location.
>>97328978???I don't have anything against LAMs.Hell, I was one of the people here arguing about the usefulness of their niche unit type.>>97329174What's with this uptick in slander anyways?
>>97329445Sounds about right, but I'm not sure CASE will work for a second explosion.
>>97329235You should at least be able to put the bays in a quad mech. Give them something to make them a bit more interesting. Also so I can build my AT-AT, you fucking catalyst queefs.
>>97329617CASE should have been implemented as a quarter ton add on to an ammo bin.
Is there such a thing as a "common" Warship by ilClan?
>>97329801No. WarShip numbers have been decaying since the Jihad.
Why is Snow Raven having Warships such a big deal when the whole point of Pocket Warships was for them to be a cheaper alternative that Great Houses can use fleets of to completely fuck conventional Warships? Like, what was even the point of introducing Pocket Warships if they ultimately don't matter?
Gifting someone the AGoAC box but I also want to include a star of Clan mechs. What would you say would be 5 of the most iconic 3050 Clan mechs? I’ll be painting them up as Clan Wolf if that helps/matters. So far I’m thinking: Timber WolfStorm CrowSummonerHellbringerDire Wolf
>>97330009I'd definitely say Nova over Storm Crow for medium. Adder or Fire Moth are good picks for a light, they're both instantly recognisable I think. More so than the Hellbringer. Plus it makes for a more balanced force. Can't argue with Timber Wolf and Dire Wolf for the heavy and assault.I'd be tempted to goAdderNovaTimber WolfDire WolfElementals.
>>97329801The writers dont want warships to exist anymore, but they cant be completely written out or people will be angry, so theres always one or two technically out there, but they will never feature in Canon again.
>>97329888Poor Ravens. Forever saddled with the forbidden job role.
>>97330097>but they will never feature in Canon again. They literally just warcrimed the Capellans with one.
>Warships in BattletechSimilar status to WH40K novels, ignored until the plot needs them lol
>>97330135Which makes no sense since like>>97329888 touched on, Great Houses should have fleets of Pocket Warships to counter with. The Snow Ravens nuking Sian makes no fucking sense.
I just like the mad dog
>>97330264Personally I think the more "realistic" ones like that are a sort of uncanny valley. It feels more like something that could actually exist, except it doesn't. If you have something like a neurohelmet that justifies making it able to walk at all, why not make it as humanoid as possible? Something that's just a bunch of guns and missile launchers would be better off being a tank.
>>97330352Nah, the neurohelmet is pretty much just used to tell whether the mech is tilting forwards because the pilot is walking forwards deliberately or tilting forwards because it took a cannon hit to the back. It's only needed to decide when to cut in the gyro, so it's not a big deal that the mech look humanoid.
>>97329284The standard rules still seem to apply (that would be an enormous change if not, and surely mentioned). So you've taken internal structure damage and need to roll for new crits, just as you would now.
Fighting pirates. Somehow they have a Hydapses. It lawndarts. If my FedCom "allies" artillery dont make it a crater thats gonna be one hell of a come up for my Aero lance.
>>97330182>but muh robots>cant let anything obsolete muh robotsIts like they think that the existence of aircraft obsoletes the tank or something. Two things can exist in the same military.
>>97330135This will be the excuse to remove the Raven naval arm, because God forbid anything happen to our precious yellow babies, they're so oppressed dont you know?
>>97330685>God forbid anything happen to our precious yellow babies, they're so oppressed dont you know?If this was true, Sian never would have been Ortilleried.
Capellans deserve less. Whoever the current chancellor is they need to be raped, preferably by BJFC
>>97330264Its a lot better taste than most. I just hate all the Mad Cat fags.
>>97330210Every pocket warship cost time and money and fleet assets can't take and hold ground planetside. Every ship you build is another mech not built and most people are not orbitally bombarding planets into glass anymore. So the only reason you're building ships is to counter your neighbors ships and if they aren't building them, why should you waste your money?
>>97330915Because the Ravens just orbitally assassinated a High Lord.
>>97330930And that'll probably get people building them again (especially the Cappies). But to answer your question, that's why the Ravens were able to bombard Sian. Beacause even post-Jihad, no one in the IS is waltzing around with a naval deathball, so no one is building warships or even pocket warships. Then the Ravens show up with the USS Thundercocks and waltz right in the front door more or less unchallenged.
>>97330996>more or less unchallengedThis still makes zero sense. I mean its the capital world. Where are all the Aero wings with nukes? Shouldn't some sort of attempt been made?
>>97330915ground assets won't be any good if you can't even land them and/or if you can't reinforce them or pull them out
>>97330764>>97330996>>97331036It wasn't Sian. It was Liao the planet
finished up my mercs for Scouring Sands
The reasons that orbital bombardment isn't common in Battletech universe anymore are because the great houses would use this tool to solve the clan issue forever, the smoke jaguar was BTFO'd beyond recovery and only returned because the writers backpedaled after such thing
>>97330930Capellans arent people, much less high lords.
