I mean, is don't know your modeling skills, but it would take some considerable talent and effort to file down the boobs, then try to recreate some of the detail you destroyed and have it not look scrappy or amateurish.

Then yeah, the lore. I'm not a diehard BL reader or sisterfag myself so I only know it in broad strokes, but roughly I believe the SoB exists due to some loophole in the church doctrine where it states there can be no men-at-arms. Whoever started the sororitas did some cool epick shit or whatever and sculpted their armour with honkers to show everyone that they be womyn and shiet, and I mean I'm talking about it goofy like but it's very important to the sisterhood's image and identity. Like I said, even if you're a flat chested baddie they'll still chuck the boob armour on you (probably just padded for comfort).

It's super scuffed right now. For the Marines and most of the Armiger (sans main carapace) it's just Vallejo fluorescent blue layered on black a few times. Main carapace had that blue on top of Calgar blue, which was then layered with thinned BT contrast.
I'll be getting a proper navy blue in a bit which will hopefully make the color more uniform.

1F is the definitive best option. Tyrion's the nice sort of autist who would just quietly sit there and not bother you.
Him and Teclis would also absolutely beat the shit out of everyone else on that plane if required.
>>
>>97326557
The pigments suck. They're semi-opaque and take lots of layers to get a solid colour.
There is actually a really good yellow pigment, cadmium, that you'll find in some artist paints but it's too toxic to use in hobby paints.

It's translucent. So it has bad coverage. You can get around that by starting with a bright basecoat and glazing over it.
>>
Exodites!
>>
>>97326557
Tend to have poor coverage so you need multiple layers but people still don't thin their paints enough when using a brush so the layers get thick fast and start to obscure detail on the model.

Welcome to the Guard son.

As for what you need,

1. a pair of hobby clippers.
2. plastic cement (superglue can also do but for plastic cement you can adjust the joints before it dries, these kits are meant for plastic cement)
3. a hobby knife, x-cato knife for sanding mold lines
3. When cutting pieces out measure carefully before cutting. cut with the flat side of the clippers against the model.
4. read through the assembly instructions of building the bodies, new cadians involve putting two of the torso together. as well as assembling the legs.
5. a 10 man Cadian squad will have 1 sergeant who can either take a pistol+sword or an autogun.
6. the rest of the 9 guardsmen can be equipped with lasguns or 2 can be equipped with 1 special weapon (note you cannot run the same 2 special weapons in a 10 man squad)

Orks and some Marine refreshes.
>>
>>97326551
I'm sure the Duncan viddy posted covers everything nicely, but some stuff off the top of my head.

>use snips to remove from sprue
>snip a bit away from the actual connection to model, they can pinch the plastic and damage the piece if butting right up on it
>if you try use a knife you WILL slip and cause damage to the pieces or yourself
>use knife to clean up pieces after removal from sprue
>your fingernail is hard, fingertip is not
>when cutting sprue connections off and the like, try put a nail behind the piece, in direct position to intercept the blade once it cuts through
>this is because once you get to the last bit of cutting, resistance will release it suddenly and it's very easy to punch the blade right into your finger/palm
>instead it should harmlessly just smack on your nail
I also recommend plastic glue because it melts pieces together solidly and helps with gaps, but if you are using it be very careful. It melts the plastic to bond it together, so if you use it too excessively or drip it on pieces it will ruin detail. Have fun and feel free to ask q's!

The drop pod detachment lets you deepstrike hammerfall bunkers. You can deepstrike 3 Hammerfall Bunkers into the mid board and use them as cover or to block vehicles from moving up. They all get free overwatch every turn and have a really strong flamer + superkraks. 175 points for T12 W14.

A lot of it comes down to practical skill, so as a noob you will fuck shit up. At leats with the paint you can, by and large, strip it off to have another go once you've gotten a few hundred hours of practice in.
As for Idiot's First Paintjob guides there's roughly a dozen of those for every person who's ever thought of trying to paint something. Here's one that is probably entirely ok (just don't worry overmuch with the exact paints, paint brands, etc in these guides): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rz76A0Jpp7E
Oh, and while there'sa billion ways to do this all very, very wrong, at the end of the day miniature painting is part craft and part art, so it isn't like there's one right way to do it either.

prime indoors? get one those indoor spraybooths of temu or amazon and just loop the exhaust hose out the window and close the window when you are done spraying. the fan is usually strong enough to keep any fumes out of your house but if you are worried wear a respirator for the 5 minutes it takes to do it.

Not really.
The point is each squad is a bunch of selfish bastards, and like their army rule where they can advance and charge and fall back and charge, just not into the same target, it emphasizes their desire to be the one to get the kill and fuck the other bastards in your army.
Gameplay-wise, GW is trying to encourage you to spread the love in a dance of death, trading fight partners each battle round, rather than having multiple units gang-bang one squad down then go an gang-rape the next.

Also, thanks to that detachment rule, if you run a foot-slogging Daemon Prince and have him within 6" of your Flawless Blades, the Flawless Blades swords get S7, AP-5 on their attacks.

I've been running it for a few games and I do like it so far. It feels more consistent than Coterie. Coterie has the highest reward ceiling but it requires your opponent to have stuff you can kill. Running Coterie into Custodes or Knights is just a feels-bad because you just can't kill enough to get enough points to get much benefit. And even when you do run into an opponent that feeds you, by the time you get good benefit out of Coterie, half your army is dead.

While Guardians are effectively militia, they're not like feudal levies yanked from civilian life with a gun slapped into their hands at a moments' notice. They're more like the National Guard where the majority are volunteers who spend their weekends training and practicing for the time when they will get called up for some conflict, generally in defense of the craftworld, but can be dragged off on some damn fool of a crusade if a Farseer gets some bright idea in their foggy little head.

Imagine being deployed to a warzone on some weird joint campaign fighting alingside Eldar, and when the fighting's over one of them just hands you a piece of bread. Just a few hours prior you saw them gun down ten cultists without even pausing to reload, and now they're handing out home-made biscuits to keep morale up. And it's the best damn biscuit you've ever had.

Forgot to add, I think you could try make those gold insignia on the shoulders pop a bit more with some yellow. From a BL short:

>‘Malvian Craw,’ he said, holding out his hand to the aeldari. She looked down, staring at his hand for a moment with the usual unnerving focus and gravity he'd come to associate with her, a tight frown on her ethereal face, then back up at Malvian.

>‘Feuran,’ she said, but did not take his hand.

>A third drop pod hit the ground, the doors thrown open as a Dreadnought barreled forth, each footfall shaking the ground. Then a fourth landed just a couple of dozen yards away, and another squad of Ultramarines poured out to join the battle. The last to depart the pod was a sergeant. His armor was gleaming and decorated with gold filigree over the pauldrons and chestplate, and his helmet was painted red. He carried a bolt pistol in one hand and a chugging chainsword in the other, and he stopped and stared directly at Malvian.

>Malvian shot to his feet as the Space Marine approached and snapped off a salute. ‘Sir,’ he said eagerly, staring up at the giant imposing figure. ‘Sergeant Craw of the 613th. This is…’

>The Adeptus Astartes sergeant raised his chainsword and sunk it deep into Feuran's side. It was not a quick or clean death, the sergeant almost lazily pulling the monomolecularly blade through her as if to draw out her torment. The rest of the world was drowned out by the roar of chainsword carving flesh, and in the relative silence that followed, Feuran’s two halves toppled sideways onto the grass.

>The Space Marine raised a hand to his helm. ‘Push back the xenos filth,’ he said into his vox. ‘No quarter; give them only suffering and death.’ The sergeant lingered for a few moments longer. ‘Pick up your weapon and join the fight, Guardsman.’ With that, he turned and strode away towards the forest where his brothers were attacking the greenskins.

>Malvian watched the sergeant go, then dropped to his knees beside Feuran’s corpse. All relief at being saved from the greenskins had vanished. His hands were trembling, not with fear, but with anger and grief. She was a xenos, true, but not like the orks. Nothing like the orks. She hadn’t deserved such an ignoble end.

>‘I’m sorry,’ he said, the tremble in his hands reaching his voice as well. ‘Thank you,’ he added, realizing he hadn’t told her before, ‘for saving my life.’

>guardsman
Typically a conscript, but varies extremely heavily by regiment. Some are lifetime professionals trained to serve in the military from childhood, some are randoms abducted from the streets of the underhive and driven towards the enemy with whips and threats of execution. BS4 is a mean average you can expect from a trained unaugmented human.
>guardian
A superhumanly agile, psychic alien that has much greater control over their body and mind. Eldar use War Masks, a mental construct that allows them to focus purely on combat and on command become hardened, cold-blooded psychopaths whose entire being is devoted to war. In older fluff, Warlocks's main job was aiding the guardians around them in maintaining their War Masks in combat.

White Dwarf is a pretty neat magazine, though maybe the novelty of it being my first one helps that. They pretty much confirm that the 500 Worlds campaign is the start of the end of the edition narrative drawing a direct parallel between it and Arks of Omen/Gathering Storm (with the other future books taking place at the same time and apparently all tying together in the end) , though I imagine everyone guessed it already. Also Chairon wasn’t mentioned in the part where Acheran’s fate is detailed to explain how Titus is Captain again and I’m gonna cope that they’ve soft retconned it and he lived somehow.

Lmao we're both on the spectrum for sure and we both have nesting habits, it's just mine involve finding overcomplicated solutions to organizing things as I put them away so they're always in the same place and his involve being able to remember exactly where he puts stuff the second he starts thinking about it as long as it stays there. Every once and a while we have to just attack a space together so we can both remember where things are without stressing. It works really well provided he's with me while I'm tidying, it's just been a busy month for the two of us with the holidays and work.

I do think it will probably be better than DoW III, but its already making a lot of the same mistakes. That said, warhammer is way more popular than it was on IIIs release so it might genuinely be a too big too fail type thing.

The Men of Iron had robots that snuffed out stars and ate continents and shit, how were they defeated?
What would it be like if they faced the imperium of man? I find it strange they're more advanced than anything the eldar or tau ever made.

Are they are on the same tier as necrons?

I know the answer is no one knows, but ambiguous lore is the best lore
>>
>>97328191
they got defeated by a teenage psyker girl how got nosebleeds when she killed important enemies.
>>
>>97328191
I mean they arent really strong enough to be a major threat to something like the Imperium I don't think because we see them show up in 40k every now and then, even a full STC AI construct, and they are more scared of the Imperials than the inverse. It was more that mankind had space travel cut off so they were very weak to being prayed on by their own machines going skynet, which might be related to chaos mutation and the explosion of psykers that occured at some point circa M24-M26.

Dark age of tech was running on some insane shit. Like cannons that use time travel to fire shells into ships in the past.
>I find it strange they're more advanced than anything the eldar or tau ever made.
They are in fact not more advanced than the Eldar at their peak, remember we have not seen them at their peak. The Tau are nowhere close to where DAoT humanity was.
>Are they are on the same tier as necrons?
LMAO no
>>
>>97328205
all the supposed "records" from that time period are kinda fucked anyway. there are multiple sources that state different things
>war against the machines

all happening in different order of events

>>97328224
its also worth noting that according to the latest Cawl book, the Necrons are heavily degraded from their peak. their code base is literally falling apart, and a major event in the novel is the discovery of a group of Necrons attempting to break into the black hole trapped planet just like Cawl is, to recover data that isn't basically useless.

this is all to say, that even Necrons aren't on par with "Necrons" anymore.
>>
Been thinking of a nutty plan where I take out a new credit card with a 2k line of credit. One of those "spend 500, get 200 in rewards" types of deals. See the crazy math in my head is basically this- I have a bunch of unbuilt models I don't want, like Jakhals. So many fucking Jakhals. But no master of executions and I want more berserkers. So I was thinking I would sell off the excess models on ebay, then recycle the cash to buy something like a Combat patrol. Then do the same for other models I don't want, getting free value boxes like combat patrols. And the rub is that I would pay the credit card off using the profits (or rather, break-evens) from selling the models I don't want. Then I would get a 200 dollar credit, which I could use to buy more models, like a Khorne Lord of Skulls. I'm not saying I would 100% do this, but the possibility of recycling models I have but don't want to get models I do want by jewing credit cards appeals to me.
>>
>>97328231
>this is all to say, that even Necrons aren't on par with "Necrons" anymore.
Basically always been the case right? Like that Eldar, Necrons, and Orks aren't what they were during the War in Heaven. That's the reason everyone says the Tau will suffer the same fate, it's not just humanity literally everyone had some sort of collapse or fall from grace.

Accounting for that. Sell jakhals for like 42 bucks, ebay takes about 5~ bucks, shipping is about 5 bucks. 32 dollars on jakhals. Anyway it's just in theory but if I can make the math work I can exchange goods I don't want for goods I do want, and get 200 bucks for free.

Which faction got shafted the hardest this edition?
My vote is for Custodes.
Possibly the worst codex ever written with the detachments so boring and shit they're not even funny bad.
Entire army hinging on a single unit with a broken rule - Wardens.
One new character model, which wasn't even a new unit.
>>
>>97328090
Hmm, this could be a fun little project to add to my Exodite plans.
>>
>>97328268
Agents didn't even get an army rule.
>>
>>97328268
Custodes are carried by their neat core concept, but I think Admech had it worse. Both are pretty close, and both got some cool toys to salve the pain a bit.

Agents/Deathwatch got done far worse over all.

Demons get a lot of love for not having a codex, with TONS of detachments and very strong rules.
>>
>>97328268
Agents as a whole.
If it wasn't for the voidsmen, subductors and breachers agents would be unsalvageable.
It's a miracle they can punch up with meltas and the deathwatch.

I'd say deathwatch was about to be done the dirtiest too, Custodes are in a far better place than anything agent related.

Also it's funny how much targeted hate sisters got this edition, GW couldn't let them be good even a hot minute.
>>

Unironically Space Marines

They lost over half their range because GW needs more space to shove in another half a dozen mono-loadout Primaris units every time any other faction gets a single new kit

I don't envy marinefags for being GW's favourite child, because GW is still an abusive parent
>>
>>97328286

This edition in general whenever something was a bit too good it got nerfed to the ground. It happened to Sisters, Slaanesh, Orks, Ynnari etc.

Voting for every army (maybe bar marines and guard) got shafted by detachments this edition.

I would like a sloppy blowjob from every cocksucker who said detachments were great at the start of the edition
>railroading players into either purchasing tons of one unit, or using the ONE generic attachment from the index
>copypaste enhancements and stratagems in most books so everybody has access to basic abilities
>copypaste detachments when the armies are small, transport detachments in particular
Detachments were an utter fucking failure, GW just did not know how to write them
>>
>>97328290
Yep
>>
>>97328289
miracle dice arent even a problem. even at the peak of their powers both casual and pro players thought the army was extremely interactive and had tons of counterplay. its far more balanced than fate dice.
>>
>>97328268
I don't think I've ever seen a Custodes player actually use any of the detachments from their codex this edition. It's all either the index detachment or one of the bonus ones they've gotten from grotmas/quarterly updates. The book might as well have not even come out.
>>
>>97328329
Well Orks ability to cut the board in half was broken, other than that they did went a bit too harsh on the one time they had good shooting this edition.

Tyranids can just play invasion fleet and not give a fuck about models, it's what I did all edition after they made the finite swarm changes and I had the time of my life.
Nexus and stampede exist for the people who care.
Assimilation swarm is a paypig detachment though, it can't be denied and the warrior detachment is a trap to sell old models about to be replaced, subterranean assault is neat if a bit of power creep from the but it's just a nice distraction if you ever get bored of invasion fleet, vanguard or if you are a paypig assimilation.

Detachments worked for some factions but not for all, as I said before invasion fleet is the king of old reliable.
It was a joke among Tyranid players that it is our only detachment before subterranean.

But maybe I'm showing my contempt for assimilation, this thing was pushed so hard among the Tyranid community and it was funny how no one could play it because no one had the models, especially new players, the coping ripper swarm lists were always funny though.

>>
>>97328330
Disagree entirely, detachments are a fantastic system. They just need more and to actually balance them. Some detachments get minor reworks and actually get positive changes to make them more functional. Others just get no changes beyond shitting out the codex and being forgotten for 2 years. 11th could really let detachments mature and come into its own if once their rules team has some free bandwidth after the edition launch to give them all a pass. Detachments the system is good, the writing and individual rules on the detachments is bad. Some armies they are very good at combining fluff and rules.

Admech getting their rules completely fucked sideways in both the index and the early Codex and taking two consecutive years of buffs to even reach viability while still being stupidly complex and expensive and getting even more expensive after every buff cut more points and only getting stilt boy who is worthless and redundant

Custodes getting only four Detachments with one of them dedicated to a sub faction with one kit And all of their rules being outdated with horror game changes, making lots of their stratagems and defenses against mortal wounds not work properly until they got errata quite a bit later

Blood Angels losing a bunch of options and getting new sculpts for all their iconic units lacking and special details

Emperor's Children releasing with half a range and not even getting all the staple chaos vehicles like tanks

World Eaters getting a single model after releasing with half a range and still missing iconic options they used to have before they were even an army

Leagues of Votann getting every unique rule gutted from them and turned from an elite into a horde army and having a non-functional army rule for the first six months of the edition

Grey Knights getting just an upgrade sprue for the NDK of all things and a shitty flavorless codex with one of the oldest ranges in the game that would only need four kits to update and now having the smallest Terminators in the Terminator Edition

Drukhari having an index so bad they released a second one after six months, then getting negative 3 units with their codex and GW not even bothering to stock any of their models

There's a meme build where you run 30 guard in the 5+ crits detachment and just run at people.
I don't have that many guard but I assume it uses the codex detachent because you can't reasonably keep them all 6' away from each other for Lions rule to activate.
They don't know how to fix the custodes rules so they just kept decreasing their points cost and now guard are actually pretty efficient.
>>

any ideas? something like "X character/actor is in this", something original so not "hurr cavill as titus!"

I also want to make another one that makes the show look bad just to see how far I can push it/see if he only believes stuff if it's what he want's to hear, something like "oh the writer for rings of power will be writing it"

any ideas on both?

Fatrak feel for an Idris Elba starring in a 40k show troll one time. The best fake leak is taking the bizzare truths from real major shows. Like the showrunners are newbies who are utterly devouted to the source material but are weird mormons who insert mormon mythology into the show like what happended to the Rings of Power show.
Or the "major leak" of an Eisenhorn show that had a whole tiwtter account that posted the whole cast. James Purefoy was Eisenhorn

Kek good, its not a bad troll but Idris is a big name for him not to be the lead means you gotta find a huge name for Titus that Idris would be supporting actor for. I don'[t Idris even does non lead roles anymore so maybe go for another black actor thats popular but plays supporting roles

The Goold...
>>
>>97329594
Primaris being taller than an eldar at least makes sense since they are just taller anyway. Like average eldar is like 7-8 feet tall, which about the same heightrange as for a firstborn space marine.
Primaris are described to regularly be at least on average a head or more taller than firstborn. Which would place them around 8-9 feet tall, maybe even 8-10 ft if we go with the more outlandish ideas.

But also all in all, scale has never truely made sense on the tabletop and GW largely doesn't give a fuck as long as stuff is in the "correct ballpark" so to speak. For example lot of the vehicles, like rhinos are off scale and much smaller on the tabletop than they should be. Another is dreadnoughts, yes even the old boxy castaferrums, they are meant to be fucking gigantic, double a firstborn's height at least, and realistically are more closer to redemptors in height if the tabletop was accurate.

Put it next to another sister from your army and decide then. You can play around with scale quite a bit before it becomes noticeably off, but you have to be careful if you mix them between models in your army because then it will stand out a lot.
